Sort Named Range Within Macro

I have a named range that is being updated via a macro. After the update, I want the list to be sorted. The named range is "Projects". This name is not a variable...it is a named range within Excel itself.
Any code to sort this at the end of my existing macro.

Im sorting a dynamic range as mentioned in this Sorting a Named Range. My range is called drWarningTypes and is defined as:
=OFFSET(DataSource!$A$2,0,0, COUNTA(DataSource!$A:$A)-1,1)
When there is only one cell in the range, then running the following sort function includes A1 also in the search (and also adjoining columns).....

I am trying to define a number of ranges in different sheets using VBA I am using the follwoing syntax but I am getting a 1004 error:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetActivate(ByVal Sh As Object)
ThisWorkbook.names.Add Name:="Test", RefersTo:=Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("E6", Range("E6").End(xlDown))
End Sub
As long as I have sheet1 active, it works. If I have another sheet active and change smt, i get the error.
The code is located in the ThisWorkbook object.

How can I redefine name of the cell? This is what I have tried and not work

In my sheet I have a range on the go called 'cells_replen', I then need to search through the sheet and if a cell matching a given criteria is found I want to add it to the named range. The idea is that when I've done all the adding I can just select the range and then go back through the cells later on without searching for them all over again. The first code that declares the first cell I need in the range is:
ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="cells_replen", RefersTo:=Range("A3")
That works fine, I can also manually add cells into the range as below:
ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="cells_replen", RefersTo:=Range("cells_replen, A9")
No problem if I want to just add 'A9' but because I'm searching through the sheet, I need some way to just add 'ActiveCell' or similar.

Let's say you have a named range, Rng1, which consists of cells A1 & A2. In vba how would you report back what, if any, named range the following cells resides:

here are multiple named ranges so using intersect is not feasible. Essentially, through code, I will be given a range and I need to determine if that range if part of a named range.

I am trying to write a macro to sort a range of data by another column. Here's the code that I already have :-

This seems really basic, but I can't seem to find it...
Using Visual Basic, if I have a named range, lets say like "NAMEDRANGE", how can I refer to cells in that range by their position in the range? For example, if I want to refer to the cell in the 2nd row and 3rd column of the range.
Also is their an easy way to refer to the first(top-left) cell in a named range?

I have a Ranking tab that has the persons name, weeks, months that subtotal into 2 columns, MTD and YTD. I have set up with 2 Macros to sort based on two columns based on their selection of MTD or YTD.
What I did not take into consideration is if a person was added at the bottom of the list.
Is there a way to modify this to include rows that may be added?

I recorded this macro - which was a simple copy and paste and then sort the results, however it works in excel 2007 and not in 2003. Even tried to record the same in excel 2003 and it still does not work. It seems to fail at the sorting stage

I have an Excel sheet that lists all of my dvd collection.
Its very easy to use, all I need to do is type the movies I have then click a sort button.
The everything goes into alphabetical order.
The problem I'm having is it only goes to 999 I have tried to extend it to 3000.
I can't seem to find the formula to allow me to extend the perimeter past 999.

I need to create multiple copy of workbook from a named range called - CoCode - range is on sheet called - Data - cell range - L2:L37. Problem is that i want each workbook named as the name that is in cell range (CoCode). Also in same workbook in a sheet called - Company Summary , in cell J1 there is validation list that refers to range same (Codode) i want that to change in each workbook.
I.e 1st copy of workbook name is equal to 1st reference in range CoCode and same 1st reference in Validation list in - Company Summary - Sheet in cell J1. Also selecting Validation populates several sheets in workbook to information revelant to that company code selection in cell J1, - there are no external links to this document-

I'm having trouble calling a defined range within a VLOOKUP function in VBA. If the named range is located on the same sheet within which you are running the macro, everything runs fine and all is well in the world.
However, after I relocated the range to a separate sheet (a 'SourceData' sheet to tidy up the user interface sheet), I was getting the following error message:
Method 'Range' of object '_Worksheet' failed
The name is correctly defined - Range("DaysInYear").Select still picks up the correct selection - it's just the VLOOKUP will no longer function correctly.
Here is part of the macro's

I am copying and pasting from two different " timesheet" spreadsheets into a list. One of the timesheets has blank rows. I am attempting to sort the blank rows to the bottom after I paste the data, but every time I do, it either replaces the top row with "true" or deletes the headers,

I'm trying to make my named ranges remember the values of the last active cells used within another named range. The purpose of this is to make my charts dynamically change dependant on two criteria selected. My spreadsheet currently updates itself as and when I change the active cell within a single named range, dynamically changing the chart data by using Lookup based on the active cells value. However I want to get away from having several charts showing, I would like to have a single chart which dynamically changes based on a second selection. So the first selection is for a department (Facility) which changes the chart data relevant to that department, the second selection is to dynamically change the chart shown for the pre selected department.

I have recorded a macro to sort a range of cell based on two values that is dependent on time in another cell. I now want the macro to run automatically when refreshing the workbook with F9, so as the time changes so will the sorting. Everything works fine except the sorting doesn't refresh when F9 is refreshed.

Merge two columns into one list in excel
I would like to combine List1 and List2 into a 3rd named range called List3. I was wondering if this were possible without using any additional cells/columns (i.e. I don't want to use Column C like in the example shown in the link above).
Here's the formula from the example:

I have a sheet where i have many differently named areas (like state1_1 and state1_2) When I doubleclick on a cell then a macro should run with following criteria: 1) Macro will run if the doubleclicked cell is part of any range in the list. Here I mean that names of ranges which belong to that list start with word state (like state1_1 and state1_2). No other ranges should not be in that list. If the cell is not in the range that is part of the list, then nothing should happen.

I have read post re this question but have not been able to answer my problem. I get the error message 'Application defined or object defined error' when running the code below. I should indicate the range counter currently indicated about 6,200 rows that this code will work on and the individual range names in the list of 6,200 rows are spread over at least 20 worksheets.
The code appears to be running but after some time it stops on the line of code 'Range(Cells(i, 1).Value) = Cells(i, 2)'.

I am looking for a macro to sort my colums in ascending order the range i need sorted is from A7:F107, it will be sorted with the numbers in the A column ie 1 - 107. sometimes different numbers get added and it has to be sorted in number sequence.

I need method, using a button, that looks at a cell--say EO2, for example--, looks back on a master worksheet at a specified row and range for a match, then looks at the information from a specified range below the matching cell (The information in this column will either be blank or have an "X" in the cell), and then those rows that do not have an "X" will be hidden in the corresponding rows in the working worksheet. Therefore, if at any time the value in "EO2" ever changes, then it will automatically find a new match and repopulate and hide information as before. About 130 columns will have its own button so that a "query" can be made that depends on the information in a particular cell in that column.
The master worksheet now has matrix of 287 rows and 58 columns. Each row is for an operating procedure and each column shows a job code. An "X" in a coordinate cell for a column/row shows whether that job code is responsible for knowing that operating procedure. So, on the working sheet, an employee's primary job code is given underneath his or her name. When the button is pushed, all the operating procedures not required for a given person will be hidden and only the required ones will remain visible--grouped, if you will. Qualification dates will be easier to see now that the information is consolidated. Whenever someone transfers to a new position, a new code will be inputed on the working sheet. When the button is pushed, a new grouping will result. Any operating instructions that overlap will still have qualification dates, so that information will not need to be transcribed.

I am trying to calculate some averages. What I have is 3 columns of data in A, B, C, also the "tasks" in A are in named ranges ex: "Award Contract" is a named range - "Task_Award" and "Confirm Updates" is a named range - "Task_Updates". I've attached a sample excel sheet.
I'd like to be able to create a macro to evaluate column A, and for every row in range "Task_Award", give me the average of the corresponding cells in column C and put it in the same range of cells in column B , then, for every row in "Task_Confirm" then give me the average of the same range of cells in column C and place the result in the same range of cells in column B. This is my very first post so I hope I am doing this correctly. I have 77 of these task ranges to evaluate and it will take a long time to do it manually. I'm thinking of a loop function.

I have a named range that expands and contracts based upon the amount of data that is in some column. Call it AllData_UsedRange.
I have another named range that actually refers to a range. Call it AllData.
Column A
Row2 56
Row3 44
Row4 65
AllData is a named range that refers to the range A2:A65536
AllData_UsedRange refers to A2:A4 by way of this formula.
=OFFSET(AllData,0,0,COUNTA(AllData))
How to I obtain an address of AllData_UsedRange in VBA code?
These do not work...
