Is there any way to sort a spreadsheet by the highlight colors? For example, if I have a sheet that has some rows in blue, some rows in red, and some rows in yellow is there any way to group them all together by color ?

I have an excel spreadsheet that shows every other row in a pale blue. When I do data sorts, the rows loose their order. Is there a way to keep the row color in every other row and still keep it that way after the data is sorted?

The first thing is the insert a blank row between the different part numbers, column "A" to make the sheet easier to read. The second thing is to highlight the data in light gray (A:E) leaving the blank row that was created empty. Ex: If I am on row 2 I can use a shortcut to highlight it in blue when I am done working on it I can use another short cut to remove the highlight
Or if I am working on row 5 and 6 I can highlight 2rows or more but still able to remove the color after.
I am wondering if I can have different shortcuts for color blue, green and yellow and another shortcut for removing it.

On sheet "Inventory List" is the value there is a value in cell A2. If that value is found in sheet "FHS Locker List" I would like the box highlighted. (I can do the highlighting) I would like to copy the formula down for cells A2-A900. It would be looking in cells K3-K900 in the "FHS Locker List" sheet.

I have a attached an inventory spreadsheet that I use at work. The only active column that gets data entered into it, is column E "Qty (Pcs)". I enter quantities of inventory in this column.
In column B is the part numbers for product. The letters at the end of the part numbers are associated with certain colors that you can see in the small chart to the right of the report. H=Yellow, M=Blue, S=Green, V=Orange and P=Purple.
What I am trying to achieve is when I type a value in the Qty (Pcs) row. I would love for the entire row that contains data to highlight in the respective color based on what letter is at the end of the part number in column B.
Example - I type 100 in E2 and the entire row of data turns Orange because the V at the end of 13001 is associated with Orange.
I am sure that a worksheet change would be the best way to go for this, but I am unsure how to test for this.
I am looking to prevent users from using a select set of colors for highlighting. If the user tries to highlight using one of these invalid colors, I would like to flag a message telling the user that this color is reserved and highlight the selection to the previous color.
The previous color may be a tricky part as I do not know if this can be done.
Is there a way to sort by color ?

When I do a SEARCH operation to find the number 10 among hundreds of cells containing data, I'm often finding the way Excel highlights the cell that meets the search result is not easy enough to see.
Is there anyway I could setup Excel so that the resulting cell that meets the search result is highlighted in a RED border or RED Fill? I would like the cell that meets the search result to scream at me with a color highlight that is not easy to miss.
I looked around at some date functions and could not find one to work.

What we want to do is swap "A" and "B" so "A" is sorted before "B" and also to change the way"A" is sorted. Certain cells in "A" are yellow and I want to be able to sort by Cell color with yellow on top.

I have a list in rows where I have a ranking formula =COUNT($G$5:$G$81)-(RANK(G5,$G$5:$G$81)+ COUNTIF($G$5:G5,G5)-1)+1 When I sort the rank, ascending. All of the unique numbers sort ascending, but the non-unique numbers sort descending

Using DataEntry sheet for data.
Trying to rearrange the data to DataFormatedProperly sheet.
So far all I can accomplish is DataFormatedWrong sheet.
Edit: Not sure what happened but file was NOT understandable before. It should be correct now.
Is it possible to make excel sort ascending or descending but from mid way through alphabet and then loop through the alphabet again. for example. If Cell A1 had "A" in, it would sort as normal.
Cell A1 = A
Cell A2 = B
Cell A3 = C
Cell A4 = D
Cell A5 = E
If Cell A1 had "C" in, it would sort from "C" through the alphabet and then loop to the start of the alphabet as shown below.

As of right now these are the steps i do to sort...i click custom sort choose My data has headers and then i select from the drop down list the word FRNAME.
is there any way i can setup a macro to do this for me? i tried recording the macro but it just is recording me choosing the column FRNAME is in. This does not work for me since FRNAME end up being in different columns all the time but will always be in row 1.
I would like to ask if it is possible to sort a range of row? What I mean is, if I sort like Row 1, the entire block of row 1 will move as well? Like if i have column A to F, then row 1 of column A to F will move together at the same time.
