I want to sort on number of words, i.e. if a cell contains 1 or 2 words etc, with the cells containing 1 word coming first then cells containing 2 words. Also, if possible, first the cells with fewer characters.

I've been using conventional method to do this and it's time consuming. I would like to total up 2 column. A multiply B to be exact. Below are some examples:

I need to have the sum of the "Quantity" multiply "Product". Or in short A x B.
And the end result need to have the number and "x" sign removed while keeping on the the products names. (2 x ) Take note it's "number" space "symbol" space.
I have about 2000 rows, all with an amount of words between 2 and 6. I want to limit each row to keep only the first TWO words. Is there a way to do this?
If not, is there a way to limit each row to only keep the first 11 characters?
I have a sheet of about 10k rows that I need to switch some things around on. The string is below:
Acura|TL|1995^^Acura|TL|1996^^Acura|TL|1997^^Acura|TL|1998^^Acura|TL|1999
It needs to say:

How to fix this with a macro or formula. The Make Model and Year on each string will be different. Basically I need the format to be Make|Model|Year.
I need a formula which can clean up a huge data set. Essentially i need to delete the entire word which contains the characters "aceae". note that "aceae" is a suffix, but i need to delete the entire word not just the suffix, plus keep the rest of the string. i have tried the "find and replace" function of excel with wildcard, but that deletes everything before/after without deleting the entire word. i have tried a combination of formulas to isolate the unwanted words, but that method is inefficient and inaccurate. below is a schematic of what im looking to do:

I am trying to find certain words in a column and delete the word and characters following. For example, Say I have a column of info as seen below. This is a test of me. I am just experimenting with this stuff. Deleted (6/15/01) Let me know what you think. I want to find all the "Priviledge1 (01/05/06)" and replace with nothing. Please note, the date will change with each record, so I need to figure out how to tell Excel to find "Priviledge1", delete it and the date behind it. So I want to delete "Priviledge1" and the next 11 characters including the space.
On to the topic, I have all the US and Canadian states abbreviated (CO = Colorado, etc.) and was wondering if there is a way to make all of them convert to their respective names in one fell swoop instead of writing it in for each one, one at a time. Something along the lines where I can make, CO = Colorado, TX = Texas and then hit enter and all of the abbreviations would convert. Some kind of command.

It's like a conjugation tool for verbs. i bought a tattslotto scratch card (for those of ya outside of australia, not sure what youd call em, basically lottery ticket/game), this game is essentially a crossword puzzle, you scratch your letters out in a box then you have a list of words, you need to find words that are made up entirely of your letters, the more words you find, the more you win ive kind of screwed up the card and scratched out words i dont have, however i do have atleast 2 words and i think ive got more, potentially could win big but wanna know how much before i go claim it
ive opened up a new workbook, in the A column ive got a list of all my words, then in C1 ive got a field where ive entered all my letters, wondering if theres a way to get excel to work it out for me (like an IF statement on the fields in column A to compare them to C1, or some kind of conditional formatting rule)

To elaborate, in previous versions of Excel that I have used, when a cell contained more characters than could be displayed in the size allotted, for viewing and printing purposes, the cell would simply display (starting at the beginning) as many characters as possible. After upgrading, I have found that when a cell contains more characters than can be displayed, it simply displays the last word contained in the cell.
For example if a cell contains "Frederico Gonzalez & Jose Rodriquez", but there is not room to display the entirety of the message, I would like the cell to display "Frederico Gonzalez & Jo", but the way it is currently displaying is "Rodriquez " with a whole lot of empty space afterwards.
This causes a problem, because it is usually not evident that more information is contained in that cell (unless the cell is selected).

I am look for a macro that can look through a range of cells within a sheet and sorts that range of cells by word count.
I have 1 macro that is excellent which sorts by character count.
If possible, if this macro can be duplicated exactly the same, but to sort by Word count and not character count.
As a note the range of cells are always in a sheet labelled " AllKWs"
Always start from Cell A3 running down.
And the phrases could be anything like "car to rent in london"

I have a file with 12,000 user records (one user per row). Within each row there is a cell that contains all of the product that each user sells. The product within each cell is listed between commas.
I need to Alphabetically sort the product names within each cell and have the data remain in that particular cell.
So as an example, in cell A12, I have something that looks like this:
Apples, Zucchini, Pumpkins, Beans, Squash, Corn
I am suffering with split a long descriptions into 3 cells with criteria 1st cell not more than 30 characters, 2nd cell not more than characters and 3rd cell will locate the remaining characters there. I think this is quite easy if I use LEN/MID/RIGHT/LEFT formula. However, I wish the formula will smart enough to split word by word. refer to example below:-
"My lecturer replied, that i really did very bad in final, nothing's gonna change my plan."
If I use left(A1,30) formula, the result is "My lecturer replied, that i re"however, the word "really" is cut half way. I am finding the formula that split description to not more than 30 characters and won't cut my string and become incomplete word. Expected result should be 1st cell "My lecturer replied, that i", then "really did very bad in final," at 2nd cell.

I have excel document over 50 pages and i need to filter lines that begins with certain letters like ADS, SGH, FAQ. I know how to filter one by one but i need all 3 to filter in same time-
How can i make multiple lines to filter in one search?

I need to sort it with numbers first, then Capitalized words, then lowercase words. The numbers aren't an issue but sorting the Caps first then lower case without getting words that have a cap in the middle is frying my tiny brain. Originally I dug around here and found a search for caps that returned a True/False then sorted the columns on the result. =MIN(--EXACT(Dict3,LOWER(Dict3)))=0 Then I found that I had abbreviations in the list like cGy and eV or cGMB that incorrectly showed up as true but weren't. Now I need a modification or a better answer. I tried a fw dozen things but obviously I'm barking up the wrong functions.

i have a column of numbers. every so often in the column, there is the word 'start'. the amount of numbers between each 'start' varies, but i would like to put a 1 or a 0 in the column next to each number. i would like the second highest ranking number to get a 1 and all the others to get a 0.
if the first and second numbers between two starts are equal, then i would like all numbers between the 'start' to get a 0.

So, I essentially, want any words that appear between "Unit" and the first number that appears before the $ sign (in this case 13 and 15 respectively, but the numbers can be anything - "Unit" stays the same down the list).

I know you can count them with
=IF(LEN(TRIM(A2))=0,0,LEN(TRIM(A2))-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A2,” “,””))+1)
but the the cells have line breaks so this formula won't work
I've understood that since there is a space before the new line, the formula will not recognise the space and therefore not recognise a new word.
