I have a workbook with 16 sheets and would like the data in sheets 1-15 subtotalled ( function Sum) for each change in Column F and the subtotal added to columns H, J and K. And sheet 16 subtotalled for each change in column A and the rest the same as above.
Sometimes a sheet may not contain any data. The number of rows will all ways be different, but the headings will all ways be the same.
Will it be possible to have the Grand Total row displayed in Bold on each sheet?
What i would like to be able to do is subtotal all the sheets (Approx 190 Sheets) with subtotals in Column I and (K to AA) with each change in Column D Period reference D3 till the bottom the data is entered. As an example i have attached a sample with one sheet 77001 showing what result i would like.
how to code a macro that totals columns d through z on several worksheets that have various numbers of rows. Each sheet has the same number of columns but different numbers of rows.
i am trying to do the following- can some one pleeeeeeease help me
Each tab has columns up to M.
1. Sum Column E for each tab(note column will varie in size)
2. Then copy Column C and Column E to one tab (called " upload)
there will be 60 tabs - so am tying to loop through and peform a subtotal for column E then copy "C" and "E" to another tab called "upload" note - all tabs will be copies to the one tab called "uplod once subtotal is performed.
way to do this but i have a sheet that is into 5 - 6 thous rows, in one of the columns (names) i sort it by names and then order it by subtotal for certain values.
What i need to know, is there anyway i can take just the subtotal values out and put onto another spreadsheet without copying and pasting it all as there are lots of subtotals and this would help alot as the other info is not nec. just the subtotal'd info. either that or is there anyway i can highlight the subtotal'd row info in yellow/bold text anything like that that would make it stand out without having to do it manually?
I’m trying to get my sheet so that at each change in month it creates a sum of the value but I want to sum to show up in the subtotal value column.....
Trying to create a new workbook from another open workbook, then copying all the sheets that aren't called "Summary" to that new open workbook and then saving it. I get a subscript error on this line:
I want to create a hyperlink to a sheet named "adsf"
I am currently in a worksheet named: "62b Arcus"
I want the hyperlink to be set by grabbing the name from another cell.
For example, In cell h7, I have the text: adsf
In cell g7, I want to place a formula such as: =HYPERLINK("adsf!")
Except, instead of this, I want: =HYPERLINK("h7!")
In this way, i want it to hyperlink to a sheet name based on the text that is in h7.
But neither of these formulas work. Both say the following: "Cannot Open the Specified File"
After reading up on this I have discovered that I must save the file and include the file name inside the formula.
My file name is: [Maintenance Color Codes of Houses - colour coded2.xlsm] =HYPERLINK("[Maintenance Color Codes of Houses - colour coded2.xlsm]adsf!A1","LINK")
This hyperlink actually works. Yet I have a problem. What if I rename the file. For this reason, I want it to grab the current file name using "filename". I have tried this by the following:
I know that I have probably created a ridiculous formula for what I am after. I'm almost there but not quite. You may know something far, far more simple.
I am looking for a code that would copy the data from each worksheet in a given workbook and then paste to just one worksheet within a different workbook. The Sheet names are auto generated when I run this canned report but the naming structure is always the same...the first worksheet is named Repair Details and then the next sheet is named Repair Details_1, the next sheet is named Repair Details_2 and so on for every sheet in workbook. So I would like to copy all of the data(Headers to last cell) and then paste in a worksheet(ex: Master Repair Report.xlsx and the worksheet could be titled Master Repair Details) on a different workbook, then the next sheet would copy from the one under the header to the last record and paste to the same workbook. This process would repeat for every worksheet in the Repair Details Workbook and paste to Master Repair Details worksheet in the Master Repair Report workbook.
I have been tasked with creating a macro which creates a new workbook wherein each sheet contains the information for one site from the active sheet. The active sheet already has the values sorted by the site such that all information needing to be copied from the active sheet into the new workbook is together.
I.E.
ATL ATL ATL ATL CEN CEN JCK JCK etc.
There are 8 different sites on the active sheet: ATL, CEN, DAL, HAR, JAS, JCK, VIS, NOV
The macro needs to find the range for all of the data of each site and copy/paste that data into a new workbook such that ATL would have its own sheet, CEN would have its own sheet, and so on. The data ranges from A:R.
So, for example, the macro would find that the last row with ATL in the "B" column is 6095 and would then copy A2:R6095 and insert that data into the new workbook under Sheet 1.
I had some code that I had adapted to select the range for each of them, but the code loops through the entire sheet (which is 44,307 rows long) for each site making it a quite clunky and very slow step in an even longer macro. Since the data is already sorted, I know there must be a way to have the macro stop searching when it reaches data not equal to the data the row before, however, my experience with VBA is limited, and I have been unable to find a solution. Also, the data does not have to be conserved after being sent to the new workbook, if that would speed up the macro.
I have a spreadsheet which has all the names of trips from a warehouse, the day that they operate (1,2,3 etc) and the job line allocated to each trip. It looks something like that:
A B C DAYTRIPCUST
I would like to create a macro that will be creating 7 new workbooks and then in those workbooks as many sheets as the trips. In these sheets, the customers should be displayed.
How do I write it? I could not find how to have a "dynamic choice" in the macro. I.e. not to have the criteria as "1", "trips1" but to choose from the range of inputs that are available.
I am unsure where to go from here. The sheets are named with numbers 1 thru 100.
With a cell reference "D1" that selects the corresponding page, 1 - 100, I want to select it along with the other sheets in the array and copy to a new workbook.
Dim i As Integer i = Sheets("I-CF").Range("D1").Value
I would like to combine sheets A B and C into one sheet so that it looks like the sheet I created manually. I have began the processes using formulas but I am unable to combine the final sheet of data as the rows no longer line up using the same formula.
I have another query now, similar to the one above. This relates to our Purchase invoice board.
All of our invoices are internally numbered, the info is entered onto the attached spreadsheet. A register, source of all Purchase information. (this sheet was not created by me by the way, its really old and my manager does not want to change it )
I would like to create a spreadsheet of the invoices that i have placed under query, i have set out a simple template at the moment which i use. But i have to input all the info from the invoice on this sheet, I can't help but wonder if the vlookup functon would work on for this.
I would like to enter our internal invoice no into my query spreadsheet and with the vlookup function i would like to retrieve the info from our purchase invoice spreadsheet
Only thing is, our invoice num are continously rolling throughout the year. New numbers are not created for the month, it continues from the last invoice number. However our invoices are filed on a monthly basis (hence the month tabs below).
Is there a way that a lookup function can be retrieve info from several worksheets at the same time in a different workbook?
I have been sent a workbook which contains a number of formulae that reference hidden worksheets (see attached JPEG).
I cannot work out how to display these sheets? The workbook does not seem to be protected, I can edit and save the visible sheet. Can anyone shed some light on how to view the referenced sheets?
i have a workbook with multiple spreadsheets A1, A2, A3, A4, ...... and I have information in each table, i need a macro to select the range of information and consolidate them into another file, ie the macro would say:
I have a short vb code to delete a list box value, but i now need to add a few lines to also delete the list box value IF it exists in cell J59 on a worksheet.
I have a small macro that searches the sheets in a workbook and sends the info (if qualifies) to a new workbook before saving that workbook using a name date time format for records.
I woud like this macro to be able to repeat action in 8 more selected workbooks in a folder. Question - can I name the workbooks I want to search - and - can I search all 9 workbooks before the data sheet saves and names itself, limiting access.
I know this is a simple operation, but I'm new and a little slow with macros. I've gotten the code I have so far and would like a little more with my next step.
I have a macro (see below) that simply formats a sheet for printing. I am currently clicking individually on each sheet in the workbook, and running the macro. Is there a way to have it automatically loop through all the sheets in the workbook?
My current macro is:
Sub Set_Print() ' ' Set_Print Macro ' Application.ScreenUpdating = False
[Code] .......
I have about 10sheets / workbook, and 80 workbooks to do, all saved in the same folder.
Is it possible that a VBA code could loop through some sheets in a workbook and save each one as an individual CSV file. The CSV filename would be the same as the sheet name.
I have made 7 macros for inserting a blank row above certain text, which are located in single column but in different row. 3 macros are for one sheet and 4 are for other. I am able to run them at once but the changes are getting done in only one sheet (which is active when I run macro)
Below is the code of macro: Sub Space1() Dim c As Range For Each c In Range("D1:D60")
I have a code that is supposed to go through a folder, open the xls file, replace all of the formulas with values only, then save as a xlsx file to get rid of the macros, however when we get into the next workbook it will not unprotect the sheet. instead it unprotects the origional sheet I sweat this worked last week when i was writing the sections and testing but maybe it didnt. The problem is without unprotecting the sheet i can not paste to it
Workbook 1 opens up, find that the date is expired, then goes through the folder and opens a workbook, is then supposed to unprotect the sheets ( this is where the problem comes in) save all the formulas as values and then as XLS in another folder.
I turned the text red in the offending area, everythign up to this point seems to work fine.
Private Sub Workbook_Open() Dim printquotes As String Dim OrigDate As Date letmesave = True OrigDate = ActiveSheet.Range("n2").Value
When I copy data from a source that needs to go into different sheets on a different workbook it works great as long as the destination is sheet 1 or sheet 2. See my code below and I'll explain further.
There is data in a workbook that is on row 45,columns G thru K. This data changes and determines which sheet in another workbook it needs to be copied to. If the destination is sheet 1 or sheet 2 the code above works great, but if sheet 3,sheet 4 or others it fails. The code in all instances is identical with the exception the destination sheet numbers change.
I have 12 workbooks with 2 spreadsheets in each: Assessments and Instructions. What I would like to do is have one master spreadsheet of instructions I can use to update all the other sheets. After changes are made, I would like to run a macro that would copy the master instructions sheet, open the other workbooks, copy over the information in those workbooks (on the Instructions sheet only), and then close them. I have no idea where to start.
