Move Differently Named Sheets In Workbook - Some Missing Due To No Info

I am trying to use a macro to move a range of excel tabs to the front of the workbook however some of the tabs could be missing due to no information.

If I simply record the macro by moving them manually if the procedure arrives at one that is missing it would report an error.

So in essence I need it to look for the tab and if its there move and if its not move onto the next until it arrives at the last one.

Move Latest Updated Cell In Sheets In A Workbook Based On Time And Date

I am having rows of data, that i will be updating from time to time. I want excel to move the latest updated rows, in any column if updated, to move to the top, to easiy know that i updated those records. It should be that when i updated more rows than one, then the first updated cell would be in lower, in order, than the latest updated cells. I do not want any cumbersome vba. I want in formula or in conditional formatting. The row no may be total not limited to some rows.

Because, you naturally would have updated the 200 th record and would have saved. It saved as it is, so when you next opens it it is there, but how can i know that that is the last row of data i edited.

I need to do VBA coding. Got 12 Sheets for 12 month of Sales. Every Sheets are in same Header Format.

For Column R (Status), there's Filter Data "TRUE" and "FALSE". I have to move/copy "TRUE" item into Sheet Aging 2014.

I manage to transfer using only one Sheets using Advanced Filter VBA, failed with other Sheet.

Move Specific Data From Sheets To Other Sheets

Need to move data from 14 sheets (1 pay period=14 days)(2 showing on attachment for example purposes) to time cards for each person (number of employees will vary).

Key data to move to the time card is the date of the hours, #Reg Hours, #OT hours, the ticket# and job# for those hours.(ie Chris Adams Aug 15, need Chris's Reg and OT hours (8 Reg and 2 OT) on his time sheet, and the corresponding ticket number and job number (in this case from I1, I2).

Unknown number of ticket/job numbers, but the pattern of cell entries will remain the same along the top of the date sheets.(starting at I1, then L1, O1, the next would be R1)

Unknown number of employees but they will continue filling down where the names are on the date sheets (column A). Each employee would have a time card sheet as well.

I am new to the post so far I love it. I am in need of a formula to help with an order book that I created in excel. In first sheet in colum A is the item number, in B is the Description, in C is the count, in D is the selling unit PK or Ea, and in E is the class code. I have sheets for every class code. I need to be able to pull information form the sheet one that matches the class code in colum E and only the items and info for a certain class code and post it to another sheet that has all the headings and formatting that I need. I need all the rows that have the same class code to be pulled excatly the way it is in sheet one. I thought I might be able to do this with vlookup or dget but can't seem to figure it out.

I need work book which has multiple sheets like the one attached. i need to change my start date from June to september quarter.

However, I cant just delete a column and change the dates as there are differences that occur throughout the cash flow... (see row 147)

Is there an easy way to bump everything over and yet still take into account the changes that occur?

Im trying to do a macro that will move data from a number of sheets based on a flag in column W on each sheet.

Basically if the flag in column W is "YES" then i want it to copy the whole row and append it (if thats possible?) into the sheet 'Journal'

I have attached a cut down version with only 3 sheets (one of which is the 'Journal' sheet) and only a few rows on each sheet.

Show Move Or Copy Sheets Dialog Box

I press Shift and click on the selected sheet tabs, goto Edit> Move or Copy Sheets... the dialog box allows move or copy to a new workbook or to an open workbook. Macro doesn't record syntax for the Dialog box. This build-in function also doesnt allow me to selectively choose the worksheets in the active workbook.

I am looking for this code or a sample dialog box as I need to incorporate it as a part of my task automation macro. I would like a dialog box that allows eg. listbox to choose the individual sheets, then with option to Copy only (collectively Copy or Move are also fine) the selected sheets to a new Workbook or an already open Workbook. I am using Excel 2003.

Targets To Make Data Move Automatically Across Sheets

I want to make a spreadsheet that has codes that make items show up on another sheet but how to do this.

For example I would start on sheet 1 and on cell A2 I would type the amount $100. Then in cell B2 I would type in F (I will call this a code).

Now on sheet two I want the amount on cell A2 to show up in a column of items designated for F items. If I had typed in G instead I would have wanted it to go to a column for G items. All the values under the given code will show up in the column that is represented by them.

If i have 30 names I would like 30 sheets. If i add a name, I would like to repeat the copy, insert and rename steps for the extra names as i add them.

I tried to move a tab to a new Excel workbook. You may say that it is very straightfward to do it: right click the tab and then do 'move' or 'create a copy'.

I found the problem is that the whole color will be completely changed and look bizarre. I really like to get a genuine copy of the tab: all remains the same.

I m moving a spreadsheet to the end of a workbook, however the amount of spreadsheets in the workbook increase each day.

Two files will be involved in this macro. 1) Headset Out Time and 2) Headset Out Time "Month". Where month is the current month.

Command Button 2 located on the file Headset Out Time will execute the macro. The macro will open Headset Out Time "Month" then move the first spreadsheet (different name on a daily basis), from Headset Out Time to the end of the workbook Headset Out Time "Month". Then it will reset the spreadsheet (this part i can handle)

I have an original workbook. Also I have saved a "copy of the original Workbook". So the sheets and other headers are same. Now i want that If i delete a row in Original Workbook then the row should go out from origianl workbook and copied to "Copy of Orinal Workbook" in the same sheet from the the row is being deleted. Suppose row 7 of sheet1 is deleted, then the data of the row 7 from the original WB should go to row 2 of Copy of origianl WB (Being the first empty row. Similary if any row is deleted from sheet2 of Original Wb, the same should go to first empty row of Sheet 2 of Copy of Original WB. By this I want to keep a record of those rows which are deleted from the original Wb for future reference.

Hyperlink To Other Sheets Within Workbook When Sheets Change Name

I want to create a hyperlink to a sheet named "adsf"

I am currently in a worksheet named: "62b Arcus"

I want the hyperlink to be set by grabbing the name from another cell.

For example, In cell h7, I have the text: adsf

In cell g7, I want to place a formula such as: =HYPERLINK("adsf!")

Except, instead of this, I want: =HYPERLINK("h7!")

In this way, i want it to hyperlink to a sheet name based on the text that is in h7.

But neither of these formulas work. Both say the following: "Cannot Open the Specified File"

After reading up on this I have discovered that I must save the file and include the file name inside the formula.

My file name is: [Maintenance Color Codes of Houses - colour coded2.xlsm] =HYPERLINK("[Maintenance Color Codes of Houses - colour coded2.xlsm]adsf!A1","LINK")

This hyperlink actually works. Yet I have a problem. What if I rename the file. For this reason, I want it to grab the current file name using "filename". I have tried this by the following:

=MID(CELL("filename"),SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),SUM(SEARCH("]",CELL("filename")),-SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),1))

This grabs the current file name "Excluding the text outside of the [ and ]. I was able to create this formula myself.

How come I can't replace the part with [ and ] =HYPERLINK("[Maintenance Color Codes of Houses - colour coded2.xlsm]adsf!A1","LINK")

with:

=MID(CELL("filename"),SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),SUM(SEARCH("]",CELL("filename")),-SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),1))

These two formulas together would be:

=HYPERLINK("MID(CELL("filename"),SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),SUM(SEARCH("]",CELL("filename")),-SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),1))adsf!A1","LINK")

I also want to replace the "adsf" part with a cell number such as h7. So that it says h7!A1","LINK") or in full:

=HYPERLINK("MID(CELL("filename"),SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),SUM(SEARCH("]",CELL("filename")),-SEARCH("[",CELL("filename")),1))h7!A1","LINK")

This doesn't work either

I know that I have probably created a ridiculous formula for what I am after. I'm almost there but not quite. You may know something far, far more simple.

Copy Data From Multiple Sheets In Workbook To Different Workbook But On One Worksheet

I am looking for a code that would copy the data from each worksheet in a given workbook and then paste to just one worksheet within a different workbook. The Sheet names are auto generated when I run this canned report but the naming structure is always the same...the first worksheet is named Repair Details and then the next sheet is named Repair Details_1, the next sheet is named Repair Details_2 and so on for every sheet in workbook. So I would like to copy all of the data(Headers to last cell) and then paste in a worksheet(ex: Master Repair Report.xlsx and the worksheet could be titled Master Repair Details) on a different workbook, then the next sheet would copy from the one under the header to the last record and paste to the same workbook. This process would repeat for every worksheet in the Repair Details Workbook and paste to Master Repair Details worksheet in the Master Repair Report workbook.

I need to be able to copy a worksheet from my ActiveWorkbook into a new workbook and save that new workbook. No problem doing that, the following code does it:

Where I am running into the problem is I am needing to copy the 2nd worksheet form about 10 different workbooks into this same workbook.

The Workbook Need To Be Open To Move Sheet

I am working on code to move worksheets to existing workbooks based on the filename in a cell value. Here are my questions...

1.Does the destination workbook need to be opened before I can move a worksheet there?
2. How can I write the code to take the sheet name which is also in column A of "Data" sheet and the path or destination to move the sheet name to the path that is in column B of the "Data" sheet?
3.Can someone help me with the code?

All the worksheet names and copy destination is in the "Data" sheet. Here is what I have for code...

Copy/Move Worksheet To New Workbook

I want to copy old worksheet from old.xls (screen 1) to new book new.xls
(screen 2 ) on an extended desktop.

Screen 1 containing old.xls file in originally opened excel.

Screen 2 has new file new.xls in newly opened excel.

Dragging over is unsuccesful.

So is Edit-Move or Copy to new.xls.
