VBA: Parsing Multiple IP Addresses From A String

I have some code that will parse the FIRST IP address it finds in a string. Could someone help with the code for continuing through the remaining part of the string and parsing out any additional IP addresses it finds and concatenating them with a comma and space (", ")?
There are specific rules for validating a "proper" IP, but for the purposes of my work, I don't need to validate. I found the following code on a google group (thanks Jeff M). All it does is parse the numeric text surrounding the 3 periods that all valid IPv4 addresses contain. For my purposes, it works ....

I have the attached spreadsheet that has 176K of addresses. The cell contains data that is actually Address Line 1 and Address Line 2. I need to separate these. I believe there is an unprintable character that separates most of them -- maybe a CRLF or something like that.

It's been a long time, but I use to parse a string in C.
How do you strip off the long directory path of a string to just the filename and extension?
String Example:

I have a series of codes, such as:
xxx-xxx-xx/xy-xxx
yy-yy-yy/yz
zzz-zz/za-zz/za-zzz
The /'s represent variations on the same code, so the first one is shorthand for:
xxx-xxx-xx-xxx
xxx-xxx-xy-xxx
I would like to be able to split the code into a new line (or lines) wherever a / occurs.
There are any number of dashes and slashes within the code, however, there are none at the beginning or end of the code.
The slashes will be always surronded by dashes eg xxx-xx/xy-xxx.

I have code that retrieves the body of an email. I need to parse out certain parts of the text. For example, the text will look like the following;
LastName: John Doe
Email: johndoe@aol.com
Cell#: 555-555-5555
FileRequested: xxxxx.xlsx
I have the code to find where the specific item, ie LastName, starts in the whole text. I need to retrieve everything to the right of the : before the CRLF. That's what Im having trouble with.

I am reading lines from a textfile. Each line in the textfile has the identical format: textstring1:textstring2. The two strings are always separated by the : character. I have the code to get textstring1, but because I'm a rookie, I can't figure out how to get textstring2. See the code in bold, this is the line I need to get textstring2.

I am trying to split up a cell into numbers and charachters and place them in
separate columns, but the lenght of the number part varies as does the
content of the character part.
For example, one cell could be 5#, 10Tins, 4 lb, 100Pcs, etc.
I would like to be able to pull out the #, Tins, lb, and Pcs in to their
own column.
I have found this formula:
=LEFT(A1,FIND("-",A1,1)-1)
but it assumes some level of consistency, the "-" in the cell.

I have an Excel sheet with lots of shortcuts in the first column. It's the entire shortcut, including the .lnk extension.
What I need to do is to be able to parse out the string to make the shortcut human readable when I create the hyperlink. I'm saving the output as HTML for a user to open these shortcuts. It's on an internal LAN & secure. Using various versions of Excel (2010, 2007 & 2003, predominately the first). Trying to make an ugly, 140+ character shortcut into a more readable form for web navigation purposes.
Up to a point, the shortcuts are similar:

a123meworkfolder1folder4folder5shortcut1.lnk
a123meworkfolder1folder6folder7shortcut1.lnk
a123meworkfolder1folder8folder9shortcut1.lnk
but, later on, they vary from that point out.

The strings are the same up to the 7th occurrence of the "" character, but after that, the foldernames start to change & the shortcut may be down a level (an extra folder) or more. Also, the lengths of the strings change as well, so I can only do positional parsing up to a point.

to separate a very large excel file into multiple files based on what's in a single column.
I am an intern at my district school board and I'd love to know if there is a way to do this.
In the attached file the first tab is an example of some of the information I have in my file. My file is thousands of rows larger. The next few tabs are examples of new files (not just new tabs) That I would like separated and saved somewhere on my hard drive.
Notice the files are split up based on the student.
Is there a way to parse out this information into new files? The file is huge and I need it to do this automatically. If it isn't possible to save new files, is it possible to parse out the students into new tabs? But I have too many students I think. How many Sheet Tabs can you have in 1 file?

I have two worksheets: A and B.
Worksheet A:Contains 2 columns: Issue# (Col. A) and Program (Col. B).
Issue# contains a list of multiple issues. There are several instances in which the issue# is repeated.
Any particular Issue# field may have several issues in it, delimited by a comma.
Program is a program associated with the issue and this column also contains duplicates.
Worksheet B:Contains 1 column: Issue# (Col. A)
This is a unique list of issues#'s.
All Im looking to do is parse all Issue#'s from Worksheet B and have some way of knowing if that issue# is anywhere in Worksheet A. Most importantly, I need the "indicator" to be displayed on Worksheet A. This way I can see what program(s) is/are associated with the matching issues.
A couple other notes:All Issue#'s in Worksheet B are referenced at least once in the Worksheet A Issue# list
There are several issues in Worksheet A which are not referenced in the issue list on worksheet B (of which I dont care about)
I really hope that makes sense, but if not...

I have a directory which contains many files, they are all names based on their locations. eg. Burwood-File1.xls,Burwood-File2.xls,Burwood-File3.xls etc
I have a master that which will contain the branch in the first column.
I have defined the directory location in a separate sheet as well as email template.
When I click on the Send Email button I want ti to attach the files that match the Branch name.
The Branch list will constantly grow.

I'm trying to draft together a simple VBA script or even =HYPERLINK string to utilize a range of cells in Excel for the To: field in an Outlook email.
I have 7 columns each with categorized for different individuals in different departments.
Instead of dealing with contact groups, I have created a spreadsheet that breaks down the departments and supplies the email address for everyone in the department.
So, what I want to do is make a link or button for each group that when it is clicked on will open a new email via outlook with all of the addresses in the appropriate range in the To: field.
Example:
Cell: A1 is the heading
Cell: A2 is the link/button you would click on
Range: A3:A255 would contain the addresses.
One other thing, I'm not positive if this is an issue or not...The script might need to add the customary semicolon and space after each address added to the To: field...As needed when using multiple addresses in Outlook.

I'm just now working on what appears to be a Macbook (never used Macs before) and I'm working on an Excel file for my job that is going to be pretty tedious for me unless I can come up with some form of automation (a macro).
Here's what I have to do. Every hyperlink in this excel file has the wrong address connected to it (don't ask). The basic problem is that every hyperlink goes [url] when they should all be [url]or something like that.
Now the good part is that I don't have to put the full [url]because since the Macbook is connected to the server that these links are linking to, I just need to say "folder/file" and the rest behind it is added automatically. THe problem is that I have no way to go to each and every hyperlink and just delete the [url] part.
I've tried using the macro recorder, doing this change to a single cell, then running it on other cells, but it doesn't work and I get errors. I have some programming knowledge, so I tried to go into the VB Script editor to edit the macro myself to my liking, but I don't know VB very well and it'd take me a while to learn it, on top of learning Excel's libraries.
So could anyone write up a quick macro for me that will go through every cell with a hyperlink and delete that [url] part of the address or teach me how do it?

I'm a primary school class representative and I want to create an excel contact list of the parents email addresses so that I can click a button, it will open the default email (in my case MS Outlook) and then populate the "To" email address field with the email addresses (separated by a comma).
Can anyone provide me the VB code that I can paste into my worksheet VBA that will look at a range of cells (say E2:E30) that contain email addresses, and put them in the "To" field of a blank email?
I have put a button on the page and it's called "EmailButton" but I don't know what VB to put with it. I'm using MSExcel 2007 (at home) and 2003 (at work)

How can I use that range as the 'To' field of an email address, putting a ';' between each name?

I want to write macro for below requirement.
I have 10 file in a folder and in that there is address, pone and other detail of employees in these sheets it will be static from D3 - D13 rows. Which is of below format:

Phone
Sex etc..
I want to the above data to populate from these 10 sheets to one sheet (new workbook) as columns as below format :

My vb code works well for sending worksheets to multiple recipients (about 400 rows) IF I have only one email address in a cell, however, I have some rows that have more than one email address (eg. bob@hotmail.com, dan@gmail.com). I've spent hours researching a clean way to do this and I think I need to be able to extract each of them and assign them to a variable to use in an array???
I'm using Lotus Notes 6.5 and Excel 2003.

I have a udf that returns a string to the cell. The string is made up of multiple string "objects". What I am wondering is if I can set the font color of certain objects so that when the final string is built and returned, the font of those portions is set.
Ex. of simple idea (this is not actually my code, just a way to illustrate. I realize there is no point to this UDF):
VB:
Function StringReturn (Str1 As String, Str2 As String, Str3 As String) As String
StringReturn = Str1 & Str2 & Str3
End Function
Now what if I wanted Str1 and Str3 to be blue, and Str2 to be red for example. So that when the UDF calculates it would return: Str1Str2Str3

I have a spreadsheet with 1,000 rows of data.
Each Cell in Column A has a different long text string.
I need to see which (if any) of 10 specific small text strings exist within each long text string. Depending on which small text string is found I want to return a 3 digit code. If no small text string is found I want to return "Not Found"
E.g.:
- Cell A2 contains "randomtext,randomtext,APPLE,randomntext"
- I want to see if Cell A2 contains any of the words APPLE, ORANGE, CARROT.
- I want to return "APP", "ORG", "CAR" or "Not Found"
Q: What is the most elegant way to accomplish this within a single formula that I could paste into each cell in Column B?

I am using the following code and it works great the only problem is that when I have more then one email address in the same cell it will not send the email. Even if I seperate it with a semicolon. It work fine if I have just one email address in the email field. How can I get it to send the same info to different email addresses.

I have a parts list which came from one source in the format below. First column is the name of a product, the following columns show what components and what quantity go into the product:

I am trying to parse employee names into seperate string variables in order to display surname, first name and middle name in seperate fields on a form.
The format of the full name is "Surname, First Name, Middle Name (If any)
I have managed to deal with surname and firstname but I am stumped on middle name. Not all employees will have a middle name but for those who do, I need to parse it.

I have a text file that has data at various time steps say 0,1,2,3 etc. In each loop, the output data is recoreded that contains numbers and strings. I want to parse certain info from this text file.
Say I am interested in reading the data for very last time step, so when I open the text file for reading, I want to move down to the Time Step 3 line. Then I want to read the text line by line, any time I encounter the word WIND, I want to skip five spaces and pick up the number that appears there. I want to paste this value to say cell A1 in a sheet called ParsedData. I want to continue reading till the end while picking all such values and filling the ParsedData sheet A2, A3, A4 ... cells till the end.

macro that will parse data that has been pasted in to Excel from a text document. Once the macro is executed the pasted data will be sent to a separate spreadsheet and parsed horizontally with the data residing in is respective cell.
Here is an example of my data from text:
FIRST: Frank
MIDDLE: N.
LAST: Stien
ADDRESS: APT14
STREET: Halloween
ZIP CODE: 123456
CITY: Scaryville
STATE: Scary Ya
COUNTRY: Transilvania
COMMENT: N/A
Here is an example of my desired results:
A2:Frank, B2:N, C2:Stien, D2:APT14, E2:Halloween, F2:123456, G2:Scaryville, H2:ScaryYa, I2: Transilvania, J2:N/A
The data is always pasted in A2 on the first sheet, and varies somewhat in length but the format is always the same.

I have been given a set of data from one of our clients with company and address information in a Microsoft Word document. The data is not formatted into fields delimited by either a comma or tab and none of the fields has a heading of any sort. The data flows vertically rather than horizontally. I have imported the data into Excel in the hopes of being able to break out the data into an Excel or csv format in which the data can be imported into a Filemaker Pro database. Its format is the following:
Company Name (cell A:1)
Address (cell A:2)
City (cell A:3)
State (cell A:4)
Zip (cell A:5)
telephone (cell A:6)
I have tried recording a macro that moves the data from cell A:1 into cell B:1, then cell A:7 into cell B:2, etc. But have failed to get a macro to work that runs through all of the data in column A:A. The data is consistent - that is, there are only the 6 rows of data. Is it possible to write a code that moves the data from cell A:1 (the company name) into cell B:1, then skips 6 rows to cell A:7 (the next instance of a company name) and moves cell A:7 into cell B:2. The same procedure would then be run on the address, city, zip, and telephone.

I am attempting to automatically (once a week) pull down the data from this site (http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/plan...bidsum_csv.php) which is posted in a csv and parse it. While this may seem to be a simple process, the people who posted the CSV did not take into account that there are dollar values in the data in the millions and billions. As a result, a normal comma parse does not work since it splits the values.
