I am trying to derive the EMI for a Loan Amount and also chart a PIE graph for the same..
Instead of Manually feeding the values such as :
Variable 1 : Loan Amount : Min : Rs 50,000/- Max :Rs 5000000/- Each Spin (1 Unit) -Rs 25000/-
Variable 2 : Interest Rate : Min : 5% Max : 30% Each Spin (1 Unit) -0.25%
Variable 3 : Tenure/Duration : Min : 6 months Max : 30 years Each Spin (1 Unit) - 6 months
I want to have a Scroll-Bar where the values can change Automatically but am not aware of using the same...
Can someone please help me with a small attachment with the above variables attached to it..The values drawn should be displayed as well above the Scroll-Bar and maybe can make the Min and Max more dynamic by storing it somewhere in the Sheet..
I am looking for Non-VBA solution to do the same..
I have a series of data and want to create a chart looking like this
Google Image Result for [URL] ...
Where it shows min/max on the error bars, quartile 1/3 on the box and median as a scatter plot. My data is a simple table
Group Amount F Amount M Median F Median M Median F+M
[Code] ....
Here F = Female, M=Male and the chart should show all calculation for both gender together (I have another thread up where the gender are separated with the Title (How to create a stock column chart with error bars?? (Both gender separated))
I have a spreadsheet with golfers handicaps, golfers names down the left in column A in rows 3-35. Row 2 has the event numbers titles 1 to 18 (18 events in a year). i need a graph that has the person as the vert axis and the horizontal axis needs to be the event numbers, so i can read down for the person and across to see how there handicaps change from each different event. i have attached the data below.
I have a bar chart which compares two columns of data. the data in one column is fixed to 100. the data in the other column varies. a third column states whether each entry is "A" or "M". Is there a way to include the A or M on the bar chart? Perhaps by having a set colour whether the data is A or M?
i need to prepare a bar chart from some data. what i want to do is that i want bar size to be fixed (larger than what automatically comes) and then excel changes the size of chart based on no of x-axis values keeping the bar size fix.
(currently chart size is fixed and bar size changes accordingly, i just want the reverse that bar size is fixed and chart size changes according to no of values in axis)
I'm trying to get the bars of a chart to change colour depending on the selection from a drop down in a cell. The drop down is validated to be one of four options which changes the figures displayed in the graph using index matching.I would really like the colour to change to represent what the option being selected is.
I used some VBA code before for changing the cell colour depending on the selection made to get over the 3 condition limit. Could this be easily edited to change a bar graph colour? All of the references I can see on line refer to changing the colours of bars based on their value, I don't want to do this, more an independant cell value!
My previously used code is below:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) Dim iColor As Integer
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("d9:d129")) Is Nothing Then Select Case Target.Cells(1)
Case "Commercial Final State" iColor = 49 Case "Commercial Interim" iColor = 31
I am trying to compare the frequency of occurrence of multiple unique values within a data set and graph the results as a pareto. I have the formulas working to identify and count the occurrences, and the chart is designed and displaying the data, however I cannot get the graph to display in descending order.
I am unable to sort the data because it is generated from a series of formulas, the returned values of which cannot be sorted. (its hard to describe, see the attached workbook)
I would like to know how I can display the graph so that it shows the bars (primary axis) in descending order (highest value to left, lowest to right) since I cannot sort the data. i.e. For the attached workbook, I want the bars to display in descending number of occurrences: 81,15,5,5,3,3,2,2.
I have a list of salesmen and their performance to date (on a percentage basis) which is sorted lowest percentage down to highest. What I would like to do is to graph this as a bar graph (no problem there) but for the bars to be replaced by the names themselves! So, I have data like this:........
I am trying to create a chart with dates from the past 6 weeks (one week at a time). The horizontal axis shows the dates from my data page correctly until I make one of the other data fields a secondary axis and then my dates change from the actual dates on the data page to 1-Jan-00, 2-Jan-00, through 6-Jan-00.
When I do the select data and look at the dats in the Horizontal Axis labels box, it shows the real dates. Why won't they show up on the chart as actual dates?
I have a chart which has horizontal gradients in increments of 500. For example, $500, $1000, $1500, etc. Is it possible to make one of the horizontal gradient lines which run across the chart, darker than the other horizontal gradient lines? For example, if a "goal" is to reach $2000, can I make that horizontal line in the chart darker than the lines for $500, $1000, $1500, etc.? I am not talking about the bars that run vertically for each data, but the lines that run horizontally across the chart.
I dont know if this can even be done in a chart or not.
I have a data series plotted as columns. Then I want a horizontal line at $5,000 to appear all the way across the chart. It appears from the 1st to the last data point, but there is blank space before the first point and after the last point. I would like the red line to extend into this blank space before and after, so that it is going across the entire chart.
I tried playing around with different axis settings and no luck.
I'm having trouble getting the dates i want on the horizontal axis on a chart in Excel 2013. I want 12 dates along the axis starting at 01/01/2013 then each month until 1/12/13 however as you can see the dates are 01/01/1900.
I am using the the stock chart and I would like there to be a horizontal line across the chart with a y-axis of the opening price. In the end I want this to be in VBA but how to do this manually I should be able to put it in loop of data that will produce many charts with a horizontal line starting at the day opening.
I have tried to add a new series to the chart but I'm using the Candle stick stock chart and the new series comes out as a vertical not horizontal line. I read about using a secondary horizontal axis but all the tutorials I find are in Excel 2003 and they donlt line up well with Excel 2007.
I found this link on charts with horizontal lines but again they are in 2003 and I'm using a candle stick stock chart not a scatter chart. [URL]
I want to a horizontal line in a chart. There are only two figures with me. One I want to display as a column chart. The other as a horizontal line chart. (I can use both excel 2003 or 2010, whichever is suitable)
I am working with the Ganntt chart and horizontal bar charts but can't seem to figure out a way to force the X-Axis to behave properly.
In Excel 2007, I am trying to get the X-Axis to show major units of Months. However, in my chart options I can only change the Y-Axis to be Date/Monthly.
Changing my data layout (from the below) to be a vertical format produces the same problem, just in the other direction.
My data looks as follows:
System Blocker Production Migrataion Retired
Sys1 1/1/2012 780
Sys2 1/1/2012 400 60 90
Sys3 2/1/2013 30 5 1
The Blocker column is formatted as "No Fill" in order to cover a portion of the time-scale.
My X-Axis displays as random dates throughout the period and all of my data displays properly in terms of the scale on the grid.
What is NOT working is that the dates shown on the X-Axis really need to be based on a Monthly scale instead of the randomly selected dates Excel is using.
20120823.xlsx
I can't seem to find the right combination of options to make that happen or force a scale on the X-Axis.
I need to create a macro to move variable multiple horizontal data to vertical format with certain infomation on horizontal will be duplicated following that variables. It's looks like below where you can see variables data in column F, G, H and I are moved vertically and at the same time column A, B, C, D and E will be duplicated following the variables allocation. I've tried to use transpose but it too manual and now looking suitable macro to help on this function
We make many graphs using XYscatter charts with lots of data points using Excel 2003 with the horizontal scale properly scaled as frequency. I have been asked to label that axis in some way as period (=1/frequency) without changing the scaling for the data plot. Is there a suitable way to do this? It would be OK to just change the axis numbers to 1/frequency computed from them automatically. Is Excel 2010 any easier for this?
The accounts listed on this report change on a monthly basis. I am attempting to create a macro or write a formula that can but used each month to fill in this list automatically. On Sheet 1 is a short example of what the report looks like when exported into excel. The numbers on the left are the numerical hierarchy. The long set of numbers are the account numbers and the others are the categories that each are located under.
Sheet 2 is what I need the end result to look like. One of the problems I am running into is how to handle the fact that the hierarchy re-uses numbers. The hierarchy always runs vertical, therefore "5" always falls under the "4" that is directly above but when there is another "4" it should be ignored and continue on up the chart until it finds the first "3" and place that in the cell to the right then find the first "2" and so on.
I have a spreadsheet created in Excel 2003 (which is what we use at work, unfortunately).
My employees periodically take a test to ensure they have certain items memorized (or are making progress to that end). The spreadsheet rows show all 46 of my employees, and their test scores. The columns are the dates that the tests are administered. I can create a line graph based on the chart data, and interpolate these data with no problems.
The problem is that there are 46 employees! 46 lines on the same graph make for a very cluttered, hard to understand visual. I want to simplify the view by "filtering out" some of the data.
I have an additional column in my spreadsheet for each employee's work area (Area 1, Area 2, etc), and another column with data based on first letter of last name (the values here could be "A-G", "H-M", "N-S" and "T-Z", for example). I figure i could filter my line graph based on these two columns. For example, somehow select just Area 1, and reduce the number of lines on the graph to 16. Or better yet, Choose "Area 2" AND "A-M" and end up with 7 employees (and therefore 7 lines on the graph).
Here's what i have tried:
1) Select the work area column, and use the Filter, which created a drop-down list at the column heading. When i use this drop-down list, i can easily filter the data in the worksheet by Work Area, but this is not reflected in the line graph, which still shows all 46 lines. The problem was that i forgot that i had set the Calculation Options to "Manual". Setting this to "Automatic" (or leaving it on Manual and pressing F9) solved the problem, as the chart now updates when i use the filters. Calculation options are under the "Formula" tab in 2007, or in Tools -> Options -> [either calculation or formula, i forget what it's called] in 2003.
2) Create several separate line graphs in several separate sheets. I wouldn't want to assign someone else the task of maintaining a spreadsheet of such inefficient design.
In the menu via TOOLS-->OPTIONS-->VIEW I am trying to remove the scroll bars from just one worksheet but when unticked, this option affects all of the worksheets in my workbook. Is there a way to just nail this selection down to one sheet via properties?
