Formula To Average Rows Of Blood Pressure Readings?

Looking for a formula to average rows of blood pressure readings. Column H contains readings as general format, e.g. 120/80 Have tried numerous formulas using LEFT and RIGHT to isolate #'s to sum/average with no luck at all. Compounding factor is that both #'s can be either 2 or 3 digits.

Average Every 10 Readings

1. I have a very long list of values which exceed 1000 readings. I would like to calculate the averages in blocks of 10.

2. The following is a very challenging query:

I have the following readings

From To Value
0 4 55
4 12 64
12 21 53
21 31 34
etc..


I would like to get the following outputs

From to Weighted Value
0 10 ((4x55)+(6x64))/10
10 20 ((2x64)+(8x53))/10
etc

In cases where the data is blank or "0", just average the 2 readings.

Excel 2003 :: Average Readings Between Two Times?

I have a sheet set up with date in Column A, time in column C and numbers in column D, starting in row 2 down. I made a pivot table with the dates grouped by day, 7, to show a week and I can group the time by hours, 6am, 7am, 8am. but what I want to do is group the time for times between 2 times, like from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 10:01 AM to 2:00 PM and 2:01 PM to 8:00 PM, what I am wanting to do is group by week, group by the times above and average the numbers for that time. Is there anyway to do this in a pivot table? Or some other way? this is for use in Excel 2003

Calculating Vapor Pressure Deficit

I've run into a formula that I can't seem to get working correctly in Excel and I'm about at the end of my rope.

The formula I'm interested in is the first calculation for estimation of Vapor Pressure Deficit (important in Viticulture and botany in general).

The specific formula can be found under Step 2a in the attachment below. It's also located 3/4 of the way down the page here.

In the code below is the formula I've input into excel. C2 references a field that holds Ambient Temp in degrees F (in the formula it is converted to Kelvin). In the attachment below they give an example using 50F which gives a result of .178 psi.

Column "C" has numbers where we figure the average of the entire column
Formula: =AVERAGE(C36:C300)

When I filter or not the Date column "A", the Average is still the same.

How can I force it to only average out the rows displayed by the filter

I am calculating blood sugars for my daughter and putting them in a spreadsheet. The formula is simple:

Blood sugar - target blood sugar / 20 which yields the amount of insulin that she needs to take. I want this cell to be blank unless I enter a value in the cell above it.

Next, I take the value from that formula and add it to the amount of insulin that she takes for eating.

The value in the top formula can be 0 or less, but, if the value in the bottom one is less than 0, I want the cell to be blank.

The Last 53 Readings Of A List

I have a list in excel 2003. Two columns of that list have formulas on them and the last column contains a formula that finds the minimum value and the second lowest value on a certain column. The data I am checking for the minimum/second lowest spans from H9 To H61 for now and the formulas just doing fine with all the conditional formatting. How could I manage to always pick the last 53 rows of the data base which has 1000s of readings without having to change the range everytime in order for my formulas to work properly?

Formula =AVERAGE(B16:L16) To Give The Average

I'm using the formula =AVERAGE(B16:L16) to give me the average.

However I have a couple of problems with this. Firstly I would like to exclude the value zero from the average. Secondly to also ignore the lowest and highest values.

Example, if the values in the cells are 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 then the current result shows 5, by ignoring the 0 and lowest value 1 and highest value 10 the average should be 4.5.

2 Rows Of Data For Individuals In A Population - Attempting To Average The Rows?

I am an undergraduate biology major working on a geometric morphometrics project. It is focusing on wing asymmetry, so I have data for the left and the right wings for a sample population of 30 individuals. The data from the software is exported as a spreadsheet with two rows of data for each individual, since each wing was calculated separately, and my mentor has asked me to average the data for subsequent analyses in another program.

I'd like to do this easily with an Excel formula, but when I try to do the averages I'm having a little trouble getting the formula to carry on correctly. I need it to average, say, E2:E3 then the next cell average E4:E5, but instead the only thing I can get it to do is average E2:E3 then the next cell do E3:E4. Which obviously doesn't work for me, since E3:E4 is data from two different individuals.

Is there a way I can do this for my data? One of my spreadsheets is a 60x32 matrix of landmark coordinates, so I'd really rather not try to do all the cells individually.

What I need is a formula that will average the last 12 rows of data so that when a new record is added, the average will update automatically to include the newly added row, but still only look at the 12 rows (i.e. for the data as listed it would average rows 13:24 (Oct-08 to Sep-09), but when data for October is added, it would average rows 14:25 (Nov-08 to Oct-09).

Need to find average (see attached file) of certain rows of column C that correspond to letters on column B that match any letter on column A. Basically if column B has the same text as in one of the cells in column A then number across in column C should be used to calculate the average. In column D I have entered(manually) all values that satisfy the above condition and obviously the average should be 1 if formula is correct.

I have tried to use AverageIF function but not able to do it as there are many conditions. Another thing to consider is that conditions change (column A content) so I need to use cells that have information rather then actual text in it.

How To Calculate Moving Average From Top Of List For First 10 Rows

I would like to calculate the moving average for the first ten rows in a column where each new entry is added to the cell above the last entry.

For example

A5, 2
A6, 3
A7, 4
A8, 5
A9, 6
A10, 7
A11, 8
A12, 9
A13, 10
A14, 11
A15, 12

Therefore in the current list the average is AVERAGE(A5:A14)=6.5.

The next entry added to the list will be in cell A4 making the list look like this

A4, 1
A5, 2
A6, 3
A7, 4
A8, 5
A9, 6
A10, 7
A11, 8
A12, 9
A13, 10
A14, 11
A15, 12

The average of the first 10 cells is now AVERAGE(A4.A13) = 5.5

I would like to enter one formula in say cell A1 that will calculate the moving average in the first ten cells each time a new entry is added. Naturally as needed, new rows are added below cell A1. I hope my problem is clear.

My company has projects that come and go (and are hidden when they are gone) and at times, those projects return 0s because we do not work on them for a short period... so, when I average a column, I need to exclude both situations.

I need to average the columns of data and ignore both hidden rows and zero values. I have tried writing if statements as well as the subtotal function. Both functions either ignore null values or hidden rows but not both.

I'm building a yearly workbook with multiple worksheets (i.e. one for each month, quarterly reports and one final yearly report). My question is that although I can have the data transfer easily to my quarterly and year end report sheets, I can't seem to figure out how to filter my data and then calculate an average based on personnel averages in the various categories I have set up.

My example is that I want to be able filter my personnel shifts (i.e. 7am, 3pm, 11pm, etc) and then set up a formula which can for example calculate a column of data and average it only based on the employees working that particular shift. My formula should adjust for the shift time I pick.

Average Formula (WHERE Clause)

I have a large amount of data in 2 columns which I want to statistically average to see if a relationship exists between two variables.

Column A: Contains Iodine concentrations ranging between 0 and 22000 ppm.
Column B: Contains Nitrate (NO3) concentrations ranging between 0 and 22 %.
I have over 7500 rows of data. In theory there is an endless amount of data but it will all be kept in these two columns

What I want to do is create average values of NO3 based on set Iodine ranges.

e.g. I want to know the average NO3 grade for the cells where the Iodine concentration is between 0 and 99 ppm.

I want to be able to calculate this average based initially on 100ppm Iodine bins but dont know what clause I would need to add into the formula or if this is even possible.

I would also like to be able to edit the bin size to see if I can discern a better relationship between the two using different ranges. As such I can create the bins in a separate column but again I don't know the best way to do this to make it work well in a formula.

I am trying to average a data set where some rows at the moment are blank but will update at a later date, I am getting a div/0 error, the formula I am trying to use is

=IF(C23:C30="","",AVERAGE(C23:C30))

I thought this would look at the data and see if its blank leave it blank but if there are numbers there it would give me an average.
