Framework Combobox And Text-offset? **

Is it possible to change the offset(?) of the items/text in a combobox? I mean like, all items are placed at a certain distance of the comboboxframe(work) on the left/right (or centered) I hope I explained it clearly enough? I'd like the items/text to be really close to the left (frame side) of a combobox

Userform - Look At Offset Value Before Adding To Combobox?

I have a Userform with 2 comboboxes.

combobox1 is filled with values. I want the user to select one from combobox1 and combobox2 get filled in with unique values based on combobox1

Sheets Quote has 2 columns

Customer Job
Stanley 1
Stanley 2
Fred 1
Stanley 3
Stanley 3
Stanley 3
Stanley 4
Fred 1

combobox1 is filled in with Stanley and Fred

based on the user selection (as an example Stanley)

I want combobox2 values to be 1,2,3,4 (having 3 listed only once)

Is there a way to modify the code below to verify that the (e) .offset(-1,0).value = combobox1

Is there a different option to use?

I'm trying to get my textbox in my userform to get its value from my combobox's value with an offset and its been giving me some trouble. This is what I got so far and it works with no offset

And this is what I got so far for an offset which doesn't work

Using ADDRESS And OFFSET To Return A Text Value From Along Row?

I have a formula that basically work, except is really complicated and slows the whole sheet down and then, for some reason, returns a circular referencing error or something. There must be a better way!

So the back story is that I have a spreadsheet that I'm using to track ~1200 employees, including salary, job title and, where I'm having trouble, reporting line.

Column [R] is the Line Manager (direct manager) and Column [S] is Department Head. Columns [T] - [Y] is "Manager", "Manager +1" (manager's manager), "Manager +2" (manager's manager's Manager), etc up to Manager +5.

'Line Manager' is input manually. 'Manager' = 'Line Manager'. Manager+1 to +5 just vlooks up off the same sheet. This part works fine and will update the whole reporting line if you change the manager.

Department head is where I'm having a problem! Essentially what I'm looking for is for the formula to look at the 5 cells to the right (the manager +# columns) and look for 'Mr Boss' and return one cell to the left since department heads report the the boss. There is one exception, its that some immediate reports of Lucy Lawful also are counted as Department Heads. For this purpose I vlooked up this list of exceptions on another sheet. My formula is this (entered as an array):

Below is an example file. In my real file the formula works for everyone, not sure why its not working for half the employee now, but probably cos it's a useless formula.

I have a code that import a txt file to an existing sheet, and works perfectly. I also have a ComboBox named "txtstorey" where users select the level they are working on, ie Ground Floor, Forst Floor etc.

I need to add in a VBA code that add the level that is selected in the cells on the same spreadsheet

For example, the current code import the data like this (It places the data at "$C$1"

Naming Range By Finding Text And Then Using Offset?

I have a large file where I want to name about 30 ranges. Initially I had done this using the range addresses and it worked well, but I continue to modify the spreadsheet and add and delete rows, so I need to go back into the code and change the ranges manually. I know there has to be a better way.

What I wanted to try doing was finding some specific text. That text (in all the ranges) is actually one column to the left and 33 rows below where I want to start the named range. Additionally the named range will be a 10 x 33 range. For example, if the data starts in B1, the data to be named will be in B1:K33 and the search title will actually be in A34. Hopefully that's clear...

My original code looked like this:

I was attempting to us the Find function with this code, but I can't seem to figure out how to tell it to look for the text (that would be in A34) and then name the range that would be offset by (-33,1) and then name the entire range.

The cell name "5260", is also entered as text in cell A1, in the current workbook (not calculos.xlsx). How do I refer excel to get the text from cell A1, instead of having to enter it manually.

I'm writing some code where I need to know the column in which a specifc text string occurs. Because of the nature of the sheet, the string will only appear in one column, but that could be in almost any column on the worksheet.

For example say the text string is "Year 1", I need to find the column with this string, and then offset down to a predetermined row, or offset over to the appropriate column (something like below).

I am in the process of writing a VBA code(I should I am fairly new to this code writing!!!).What I need to be able to do is below.(enclosed please find a output in an xls file) What I should be able to do is below:

1.Find the text "Cash(No Listing)(Monthly)"

2. Offset to the 13th Column after that

3.Select the value in this column ,copy the value

4.Go to a row above and move one column to the left i.e.offset (-1,-1) and move 12 column backwards i.e.offset(0,-12)

5.Copy the value in 3 above to this entire range

6.Repeat this process for the entire file

My code is as below.Let me know where am I making a mistake. Just to let you know that this code performs the job well for the first entry i.e in the yellow makde area and doesn't do the job for any further entries .Llooks like I have some problem with the loop but not sure as to whats happening!

Using OFFSET Function To Return The Value From Another Cell With Row And Column Offset

I am having some difficulties using a combination of IF and the OFFSET function to display a range of cell values from another column based on a simple condition. The values I need to display at the destination cells should be offset by 8 columns to the right and "X" rows down from the reference column. The value "X" is to be determined via the IF function to check for the row index number.

For example, if Index value "X" = 8, then display the value of B2 in cell I9. IF X = "9", display B2 in cell I10 etc.

I have attached a sample worksheet that provides some examples.

I am trying to find a macro that can search a sheet for any cell that contains the text "Not on AOI" selects a range that contains that cell, 81 rows below, and 2000 columns to the right, then cuts the selection and pastes it 162 rows below the original cell where the text was found. What's hard is that the number of columns between the "Not on AOI" cells is variable.

I'm very new to excel macros and the parts I think I've put together are:

I have Combobox on sheet which is filled with list of time intervals (text). If I select item from combobox, I want this time interval to be splitted as text and fill one cell with start time, and other with end time - so that I could calculate time difference.

I guess this could be done by inserting formula in this start/end time cells, like :

I'm doing this to allow user for picking commonly used time intervals from Combobox, but also to enter other start/end time in cells for that. I cannot do that without VBA, but I don't know how to do It in VBA.

I need to match the 1st 3 chars. and the last 2 chars of the 1st column field to filter the list that displays in a listbox on a form. Is there an easy way to do this? Coding On Change Function In Combobox And Text Box?

How to make it function able. Here are the details.I have a user form named UserForm1 in the user form I have a text box and combo box. Combobox is named as ComboBox1 and text box is named as TextBox1.

Along with the above 2 fields in form, I have 2 labels, Label2 & Label6.

TextBox1 contains date (which user can either type or chose form calendar), and ComboBox1 will have Employee ID that needs to be choose. Upon selecting both, my Label2 caption should have employee name & Label6 caption should have shift time.

By using formulas in excel I have employee name in Sheet2 cell b2 and shift time in Sheet2 cell b3. Upon change either in ComboBox1 or TextBox1, I want data in Sheet2 cell b2 be the caption of Labe2 and data in Sheet2 cell b3 be the caption of Labe6.

What is the code to get this done, if either of them is blank, then label caption should be blank.

Dropdown Or Combobox With Static Space Between Text

I have a set of date of different lengths that I would like in a dropdown or combobox in a grid like fashion. Example

Apple, Banana, Orange, Kiwi
Mangos, Pineapple, Passionfruit, Guava

and I am trying to get it into the dropdown/combobox as

Apple,----Banana,-----Orange,-------Kiwi
Mangos,-Pineapple,-Passionfruit,-Guava

(without the dashes, the forum does the same thing excel does)

The data is of varying lengths, and the lists are actually parts lists, so they are long and of varying lengths each. Aside from physically going in a manually padding spaces, which isn't feasible given the number of them. The have alphanumeric characters, so jumbled all together seperated by commas is very messy and hard to read. I have tried padding with spaces using a formula but they do not line up right. I have been searching for a solution either having the entries in separate cells and concatenated entries, and still no luck.

Adding Text Entered In Userform Combobox Into Dropdown List

I am not sure if this can be done easily but essentially what I have is a userform that fills out a form that will used by several different people and saved to a central location.

There is a blank combobox currently labeled "Supplier:" that each person fills out each time on the userform (there are no dropdowns yet).

What I am wanting to do is for every person who saves (I have coded the save button) with the "Supplier:" combobox filled out to save what they entered and input that into the combobox dropdown so when the next person uses the userform the entry the previous person entered would be in the combobox as an option to select.

Essentially, a combobox populates itself based on what previous users have entered into it.
