how to get a userform by double clicking a cell.

I have created a userform, (my first one)-very simple form, i have created a massive textbox, so when i doubleclick a cell in Sheet 1, userform pops up and I can write comments.

I am not sure how to write a code for this? I know it will have Private Sub Doubleclick, not sure on the rest?

I have two pieces of code. The first one puts a tick mark in the cell when you double click it. The second one hides column B of another sheet if the value in cell A1 of Sheet1 is "a". I want to combine these two codes so that when I double click cell A1 of sheet1 it puts a tick mark in the cell and hides column B of Sheet2 and clears the contents of range B2:B50 of Sheet2.

I have a spreadsheet with formulas in column C, D, E, F and G. The only numbers I need to enter are in columns A and B. The formula in column C comes from the =SUM(B1/A1) Column D is calculated based on the result of column C, etc...

How can I set up the spreadsheet so that when I enter the data in column A and B, everything else calculates automatically; without having to double click and press enter in each cell?

My Goal: To put data (numbers) in Column A and B and than have C, D, E, F and G calculate by themselves without clicking.

All of my cells contain numbers, not text

My cells have wrap around text enables. However when I double-click the row, it does not automatically adjust the row height to accommodate all of the text. It shrinks to a small row height. How do I fix this?

Excel 2010 :: Double-clicking On Pivot Table / Multiple Worksheets

I upgraded to Excel 2010 from Excel 2000 a couple months ago. In Excel 2010, after double-clicking on values in a pivot table to create a new worksheets, I'm unable to highlight those worksheets and add a column to all of them. I was able to do this in Excel 2000... I can't figure out what's stopping it from happening for the life of me. Am I missing something obvious here?

i use excel 2007, it s slow to open a file by double-clicking and entering from windows explorer, by googling i fould a fix by adding "%1" at the end of command in "Application used to perform action" (folder options/file types/xls/advance/open). however, to open files in the same instance, i have to keep "DDE message" with [open("%1")]. With both "%1", excel now opens twice.
How to fix it?

Launch UserForm With Double Cell Click

I've found the code below and tweaked to suit my needs but having trouble. Had it working one time. The code below calls a userform when the user double clicks on a cell. The form pops up and is not active/enabled. I cannot select anything on the form until I select a cell on the sheet, then everything on form becomes active/enabled.

Double-Click Cell On Protected Sheet To Open UserForm

I have spreadsheet with client names. I'd like to build logic that will open a form with client information when a user double-clicks on the client name. But I have a couple of problems.

- First, I'd like to protect the sheet and hide the formulas. But when I protect the sheet, I get the "the cell or chart you are trying to change is protected" error when I double click the protected cell.

- If I deselect the "Select Locked Cells" options when I protect the sheet, I no longer have the ability to double-click on the cell.

how I can double click on a cell yet not allow the user to edit the cell (or see the formula)?

Userform Disappears After Clicking No

i got the userform to popup when the workbook is open and the buttons work fine... only problem is when i click on a button, it will ask the user yes or no... if the user press yes, it performs the required macro without any problem... but when the user press no, not only it will close the question, but also closes the userform... I would like the 'no' to close the question but not the userform...

For example, a userform which has:

Contractor 1: (TextBox)

and underneath this have a command button which when clicked will add another text box e.g.

I'm new to vba so haven't got a clue how to go about making this userform or even if it is possible.

UserForm ListBox Being Double-loaded

I'm having problems loading data into a listbox. When the form first opens, it loads the data twice. I can then kill the form and restart it and the data is in there three times. I can't see any loading problems with the userForm_initialize routine. How can I ensure that the listBox is empty before I start adding data? This would also seem to be necessary prior to loading a different set of data into the form - correct?

Double Click To Run A Sub But Then It Runs The Userform Activate Sub

I have a userform that has a listbox that contains data in 7 columns. I also have a command button that when clicked allows the user to edit the data in whatever row of the list box is highlighted. This works fine.

I decided to have a double click in the listbox on a row do the same thing. So I simply picked the double click event and called the command button sub. When I try this, it runs the command button sub, but then it runs the userform Activate sub. This is a problem as it does things that I do not want to occur again.

I then decided to put the command buttom code in a separate sub and then call that sub on the double click -- same result.

Then I just put the exact code that I have in the command button into the double click event -- still does it.

Anyone know why this happens, I see no reason for it. It works great in the command button, but with double-click it run the userform Activate sub when it is done.

Here is the code that runs (if called by a command button it works fine, if called by a double_click in the listbox, it runs the userform_activate sub):

I have a worksheet in whichs Column A Cells , there is corresponding string content in Col. Z. Some cells of column Z contain of many lines (up to 100 line) which i want to reduce to one. I want to select one line through double clicking in the listbox of the userform and all other lines should be deleted and only the clicked one should remain. Code should then jump to the next non empty Z cell.

Columns B, C, D, E, F, G and H should also be shown in the userform and they should be live editable. I have attached and example file with userform and example data.

Excel 2007 :: Clicking On Cell Auto-selects Cell Next To It - Cannot Disable

Whenever she clicks on a cell, the cell to the right of it is also selected. When she tries using tab to move to a new cell, she can only move between the two selected cells. Same with using the enter key. As such, it is extremely difficult for her to modify only one cell, since she always has two selected.

The F8 key, as well as Ctrl+F8. However, pressing the F8 key only adds more cells to the autoselection, and Ctrl+F8 allows her to select one cell, but also highlights the cells around it, and when we tried to select other cells, every cell we clicked stayed highlighted.

Additionally, sometimes when she clicks a cell, it will just select that one cell. Click it again, and the problem is back. I haven't been able to determine any patterns to this behavior, and I know there is no problem with the input (the keyboard and mouse are standard-issue in our lab, and we keep them well maintained).

I would like to accomplish 2 things in my Excel 2010 spreadsheet by click a cell which already has a number and formatting in it.

1. How do I change the color of the cell, the color of the number in it, and the border around it. (Make it look like I just pressed a button by clicking it.)

2. At the same time have the text in different cell and the number in the selected cell appear in another different cell. (Text in a different cell = A , and the number in the selected cell = 23, the value in the resulting cell be "A 23") Everything I would like to happen at the same time by clicking the selected cell. I would also like this to be done several times by clicking different cells and not changing the previously selected cells.

I would like to run a macro by clicking a cell. I don't want a toolbar button/menu item and Hyperlinks don't work. Can this be done?

More info: My macro selects the current row in Sheet A and moves it (cut & Paste) to Sheet B in the workbook. The macro then goes back to Sheet A and deletes the now blank row.

I am trying to create a data entry sheet to enter quotes on. When a quote is received, I click on my "Add quote" button and a userform appears. Data is entered into the userform (frmEntryForm) and returned back to the next available row.

I also need to be able to:

Edit a row by double-clicking it. When a row is double-clicked, data from that row is passed back to the userform, edited and returned back to the same row (to prevent duplicates).Validate that all fields are complete within the userform where relevant (i.e. if the work is not complete or in progress then the "Invoice Number" and "Actual Cost" fields are disabled and blanked to prevent entry (I think this is almost sorted judging by my tests)

I have programmed a Form in VBA that initializes by clicking a button on a worksheet. The Form features combo boxes, text fields, and a couple option buttons. Once completed, the Form enters the values entered by the user (as strings) in contiguous colums in a single row. The worksheet is locked so as to not allow users to input values into the worksheet directly and bypass the Form.

The question:
Once a row is filled by submitting the Form, i want to allow a click event on that cell (like double-clicking, for example) to pop-up the Form, but containing the corresponding values from the cells in the matching combo boxes, text fields, option buttons. I want to do this so that I can allow modification on a row without letting the worksheet be modifyable without passing through the Form. Here's the code for submitting the Form values into the worksheet:

I want to display a comment/note that is always visible however:

*The text in the comment should change "only when" the user of my worksheet "clicks" on a specific cell in the worksheet;
*I do not want that a comment appears/disappears/ changes when the mouse moves over any of the cells
*I do want that the same comment/note is used to display different text when the user clicks on another cell in the worksheet
*I do want that the user can position this comment on his screen where he wants it to be.
