Increase The Range Each Month.

I currently have an excel spreadsheet which has monhtly sales totals in it. We have some forumla that compare Year To Date figures with YTD Budgets and we also wish to compare Current Year To Date to Previous Year To Date. The problem I have now is that it currently means updating the range formula for Year to Date Budget and I will also be required to update the Previous Year To Date sales manually too.
Im looking for the spreadsheet to re-calculate theses figures based on the month that they are in. For instance should I be working on the Spreadsheet in January, it will only use the values in the budget sheet from Apr-DEC. Currently I woud be required to change the range in the formual to take into account the extra cell required.

I am trying to write a program that needs to select a different cell everytime it is ran. For example, this month when it runs I need it to select cell BL137. Next time it is ran it will need to select cell BL138. Month after BL139. The cell it selects will always be in the same column (column BL) and the cell number always increases by the same amount (1).

I have been a long time lurker of MrExcel, but have always been able to find the answer to my question within the forums. However, I am stumped. I am trying to create a pivot table that will show incremental goals by week, when I have a set goal for the month already. However, I don't want to do a straight average across all the weeks in a month. I would like to see it continually grow during the month. How can i mathmatically do that in Excel?
For example:
Jim had 191 sales leads in the last week of the month in December. Of those 191, he closed 29 of them, for a 15.2% close rate. I want to see him raise that by 6% by next December, so (6%/12 (# months) = .5%). He will need to increase his close rate to 15.7% by the end of January. So, for the month of January, we expect 955 sales leads (5*191) and 149.935 (15.7% of 955) closed. However, I don't want to say Week 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in January should all have 29.987 closes, I would like to be able to say week 1 = 25, week 2 = 27 week 3 = 30 week 4 = 32 and week 5 = 34, but have that incremental increase to total 149.935.
There is (sadly) no changing the percents, or the closed leads number. These have already been submitted and aproved. I just have to be able to let people see the goals by week now, but if they want to see the monthly goal, it must equal what has been approved.

I have 22-08-08 in Cell A2 I would like it to change to 22-09-08 on 23-08-08 ideally using edate (but not neccessarily).
Perhaps I can add a formula with conditional formatting eg formula is = "On Today()+1 Add 1 month to cell A2"

I'm trying to sum a range in Column AB that increases by 1 cell every day.
Specifically, Jan 1 will be AB1, Jan 2 will be SUM(AB1+AB2), Jan 3 will be SUM(AB1:AB3)...and so on...Dec 31 will be SUM(AB1:AB367).
If it helps, the dates of the year run from A2:A367.

I have log data in two columns:
Column A: Date/time (at 30 minute intervals)
Column B: Numeric data
On the last row of each month, I’m trying to perform a SumProduct on the two columns and display that result in column C.
The end of the range is determined by the month in the current row.
I’m having difficulty finding the beginning of the range, though. I need to account for both the normal dynamic calendar days & the fact that I may get data starting mid-day and mid-month.
I have this formula, but I’m not sure how to make the first array dynamic or if this is even correct approach.

i have a workbook containing two sheets "Impiorted Data" which is the data which is downloaded and the range will change each time the data is imported and "Pivot Table"

I m trying to write a formula for my financial model. If anyone can take a stab at a solution. I'm trying to write a formula that will equally distribute revenue either over the next 1 month, 2 month or 3 month period depending on size of the deal.
Details:
Sales will fit in 1 of 3 categories. Less than 25k; between 25k & 100k; greater than 100k.
- if under $25K, recognize in next month (month N+ 1)
- $25K-100K, recognize in two equal parts in months N + 1 and N + 2
- over $100K, recognize in three equal parts over 3 months
N + 1, N + 2, N + 3 ...

I am working on automating a report via vba code where the range of the chart needs to be changed every time the macro is run. Basically the chart is a snapshot of performance of 6 months .
For example : if the chart is already displaying Jan - Jun data , when the information for July is added and report updated the chart should be updated to reflect Feb - Jul data .
There are many graphs but have added 2 sample here for ref .

I am trying to add a specific range of data
Column A include a code
Column B-X include actual data
Culumn X- AI include budget figures.
Also in cell A1i have the number of the month
For example the month is 3 (March)
I want in AK to create a SUMIF where the formula will sum columnsX+Y+Z
If month goes 4 then should calculate
X+Y+Z+AA
and so on

Cell C6 contains a drop down from which a month can be selected, range is Oct-12 to Sep-13
Column AB will contain a YTD sum of actuals, Column AC will contain sum of budget.
For example,
Actuals: If Mar-13 is selected in cell C6, I would like cell AB10 to sum D6+F6+H6+J6+L6+N6
Budget: If Mar-13 is slected in cell C6, I would like call AC10 to sum E6+G6+I+K6+M+O6
2nd scenario
Actuals: If Jun-13 is selected in cell C6, I would like cell AB10 to sum D6+F6+H6+J6+L6+N6+P6+R6+T6
Budget: If Jun-13 is selected in cell C6, I would like cell AC10 to sum E6+G6+I+K6+M+O6+Q6+S6+U6
I've been reading up about an offset function but can't get to grips with it - should I use that, or an index/match mix?

I am trying to create an equations that sums up a range based on matched dates. I have considered using an array, but that turned out to be much more work than necessary.
I have never used the SUMIFS before and having trouble, here is the equation I'm using.
=SUMIFS($F$2:$F$204238,MONTH(E2:E204238),"=month(referenced_range)")
*F2:F204238 is the range that needs to be summed up
*the month(referenced range) is in date form
*I was able to pull and evaluate all the data on it's own, but when using it in the sumif equation it gave me zero result so it must be a syntax error.

I need to compute the number of days that a given range of dates has in common with any given month. So an example might be:
Cell A1: Range Start Date (say it's 1/1/07)
Cell A2: Range End Date (say it's 2/15/07)
Cell A3: Month Indicator (say it's 2, meaning February)
Cell A4: Days of Intersection (should be 15 in this case, meaning that 2/1-2/15 were the days of February that were also in the range 1/1-2/15)
Cell A4 is what I'm trying to create the formula for.
I'm in Excel 2000 and am having trouble installing the add-on.

I have attached a spreadsheet which shows my desired result which often works.
Range C2:C13 is my desired result...
The problem /criteria is...
For every 140 meters sold the sales person receives £140 commission.
Meters (range B2:B13) can be carried to future months.
I am looking for a formula for range C2:C13 which calulates if commission should be paid in this month or not and if so, how much.

I've never worked with Excel macros prior to today. I'm working on this for a friend.
I've got this sheet that's going to a web address, importing a table from the page, and making a line graph of the data. I got all that to work fine (after a lot of trial and error). Now I've got the data, and I want to make a scatter plot of it...
Here's the thing. I want each month of the data represented as a line on the plot.
This is hard to explain. It looks like this:

So from there, I want a loop to scroll through the dates and select a range that represents January, a range that represents February, etc, so I can save those ranges as variables and make a scatter plot with 12 curves on it.

Attached is an example of what I'm looking for. Example: Column A has all the month names with a defined named range of crnt. D6 has a data validation display with a value of Nov 09, I need E6 to display Oct 09 automatically from the data in Column A. Basically I need cell E6 to always display the previous months text based off cell D6. I think the example sheet explains it better.

At the end of each month, my agency collects data about clients served in our programs. One of the many pieces of information they want is the number of "bed days" a client was residing within our programs for the given month.
For example:
Jon Doe entered the program on 7/16/13 and discharged on 8/15/13. I would like to know how to calculate the number of days in July that Mr. Doe was residing in the program. (The date of discharge is not included.)
I recently took over the responsibility of completing reports such as this one at my office. The previous person who completed the monthly reports would count the days by hand for each client, but I know there must be a better way.

I collect unique prices each day. I am trying to find a way to determine the average of the numbers collected from the 21st of the previous month to the 20th of the current month. This formula will need to calculate for multiple months and years. So for example, I need Feb2008 average-which would be the average of numbers found between Jan21-Feb20, I then need Mar 08 average which would be data from Feb21-Mar20 etc. My spreadsheet is setup with the first column having the dates (ex. 01/01/08, 01/02/08 etc) and the second column containing the value for that particular date ($2.85, $3.00 etc).
As the number of days between the 21st and 20th change each month, I just can't seem to find a way to do it without a whole lot of manual effort.

I have a workbook with two spreadsheets in it. On the second sheet there is a large table, which column headings are months and years (e.g. Jun-07 Jul-07, Aug-07, Sep-07....). I was trying to write an excel vba code that would search the first row (column headings) to find the current month and year, and copy the corresponding column along with two previous columns (months) to the first sheet. I would like to have a code that will be able to do this in Jan-08, Feb-08, or Jan-09 as well.

As you can see this also laps into a new year, which poses my next problem, ill probably just add more columns on to the end of the table for that though...
I will later apply different calculations to these cells but in short need to get a calculation for the number of days per month first.
(in short spreading the new value out accross the year then multiplying it by the days... i also need to apply a further daily volume cal to it).

I'm needing a formula that will determine the number of days that fall in a specific month based on a date range. For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) I have a large spreadsheet that would be so much easier to manage with such a formula. Currently, my spreadsheet is setup as follows. I need the forumla automatically fill in the number of days under each month.
