Spreadsheet To A Whole Load Of People And Some Have Received Emails Back Saying That It Won't Open Properly

Sep 15, 2009

I've sent out an excel spreadsheet to a whole load of people and some have received emails back saying that it won't open properly. It's got a form which pops up and populates two data sheets behind it.

One of the issues I've had so far is that the Microsoft Common Controls library isn't installed on some computers so the form won't work. Are there any other controls that are likely to not be installed and thus prevent the form from opening?

Extracting Email Addresses To Send As Multiple Recipients

Jan 6, 2009

My vb code works well for sending worksheets to multiple recipients (about 400 rows) IF I have only one email address in a cell, however, I have some rows that have more than one email address (eg. bob@hotmail.com, dan@gmail.com). I've spent hours researching a clean way to do this and I think I need to be able to extract each of them and assign them to a variable to use in an array???

I'm using Lotus Notes 6.5 and Excel 2003.

'Here is where I get the email address to put in the mailAddress variable
Workbooks("GSA Mileage Report.xls").Activate
mailAddress = ""
On Error Resume Next
mailAddress = Application.WorksheetFunction. _
VLookup(EmailAddrSheet.Cells(RowNum, 1).Value, _
Worksheets("MailInfo").Range("A1:B" & _
Worksheets("MailInfo").Rows.Count), 2, False)
On Error GoTo 0

Send Mail To Filtered People?

Feb 5, 2012

I have an excel workbook which is a result of a sports survey I conducted. It basically shows who likes which sport, what level they're at, preferred time of play, etc, and their email address.

A colleague has created a type of form (using formulas, not VBA) wherein you select your criteria (Sport, Gender, Level etc) and it displays the matching names.

What I'd like is to be able to select, via a check box or similar, 1 or more names from the list of results for that sport, click a button, and their addresses automatically open in a new Outlook mail window for the person to send a mail to those people.

Find Totals And Send Emails To Different People

Jul 3, 2009

to create a macro to send emails.

1. Attached is an excel spreadsheet. In column A, each time the word total is seen, i want an email to be sent to to someone with the total in colum E.

Eg.
A B C D E
UAFEQ1 TOTAL xxxx xxxxxxxx xxx R 15 000
ALPROP TOTAL xxxx xxxxxxxxx xxx -R 20 000

For UAFEQ1 TOTAL I would like a mail to be sent to john@example.com
For ALRPOP TOTAL I want like a mail to be sent to peter@example.com

If the total in column E is positive i want the mail to say:
Please see deposit of R 15 000

If the total in colum E is negative i want the mail to say:
Please see withdrawal of -R 20 000

The currency is Rands (South Africa)

Sometimes, i need to send 20 or more e-mails. And these can repeat themselves so, there may be two totals for UAFEQ1 TOTAL and a mail must be sent each time. See attached as an example.

The macro can stop when Grand Total is reached. No email needs to be sent for the grand total.

Enable Macro Automatically - Then Send Send Email

Sep 7, 2008

I used Scheduled Task to set up my spreadsheet to open daily. I have the code with assistance to pull out the due date items and place them into an email.

I have come across XLSTART/AUTOEXEC/ACTIVATE...ETC...
But cannot figure out the code that will automatically "enabling macro" once Scheduled Task opens the spreadsheet?

Then once the macro runs, the email with the due dates, how can this auto send without user interaction?
(currently I would have to hit send)

I am trying to make the process totally automated to open the spreadsheet at a certain time, send the email with due dates and close the spreadsheet.

Following code in ThisWorkbook--

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Check_Date_Send_Mail
End Sub
Code in Module1--

Option Explicit
Sub Check_Date_Send_Mail()
Dim wbBook As Workbook
Dim wsSheet As Worksheet
Dim rnDate As Range, rnValue As Range
Dim stAddress As String, stMsg As String
Dim stRecipient As String, stSubject As String
Dim stPost As String
Set wbBook = ThisWorkbook
Set wsSheet = wbBook.Worksheets("Sheet1")

Set rnDate = .Range("d2:t23")

VBA Outlook Email Auto-send Routine - Check If There Any Attachments In Email To Be Sent

Jul 23, 2014

I have a macro to send emails to a group people that based on various criteria, it will attach a number of files to a recipient's particular email. This is a small portion of the code that does the attachment adding:

Code:
If Range("B" & a) = "Y" Then
If citChev "" Then .Attachments.Add citChev
End If
If Range("C" & a) = "Y" Then
If citMits "" Then .Attachments.Add citMits
End If
If Range("D" & a) = "Y" Then
If citToyo "" Then .Attachments.Add citToyo
End If
If Range("E" & a) = "Y" Then

[code].....

Most people get several of the files attached to their email and all works fine. But, there are certain conditions when all the IF() stmts fail where a recipient will not get any files attached. I do not want to send the email if this is the case, but it currently is sending it.

Is there a way after all the IF() stmts have processed to check to see if this current email has any attachments assigned to it? (IF .Attachments "" Then...) does not work.

Send Email On VBA Macro

Nov 16, 2008

Is it possible to send an email if an error occurs with all the information regarding that error? I've created a workbook with a lot of macros and a lot of information. It's used by several people and sometimes those people have several other excel workbooks open and running at the same time. I've done my best to fix all the bugs but should one come up I'd like to be able to have the workbook send me an email alerting me of the error and the details surrounding the error such as what the error was, what macro was running, ranges selected, all that useful info. Is this even possible? or is there some sort of work around to at least bring up a prompt or page for the user to fill out then send by email after the error occurred?
