I am having a really difficult time with this code. I am trying to fill in some fields on an webpage in an effort to eventually retrieve some data. I have read lots of posts on the topic and somehow I'm still confused. My code crashes on this line and gives an Automation error, Unspecified Error message: With appIE.document.forms(0). I've been playing around with the API functions (specifically, InternetOpenURL) to retrieve the contents of an HTTP webpage and store the information within a text file, using Excel VBA. It works great for any "normal" webpage not requiring a "Username" and "Password" login. I can't find any examples on how this is done for a webpage requiring such a login? I've heard you can do this via sending the appropriate cookie to the server, but I can't find any documentation on the web? Does anyone have any idea on how this functionality is achieved?

I am writing a macro to automate the filling up some data from excel to company website. I have changed the website name in this post for data protection purpose. The excel will login for different clients by using the combination of username and password for respective clients and then some data are required to be inserted in a text box on a web page, I think the text box is on a form and form is within an iframe, within the web page. Once the data is inserted into text box, one button (Submit), which is also on the same form, is to be clicked.
On the click of a button, the updated data appears on another section, I could not make out if it is an form or frame, which is under the abovementioned form. Once we are happy with the way data appears on the web page, we have to click another button (Update), which is on the same section, to finally updating the data on website.
I wrote the following code to login to the website and then to navigate to the web page where I have to fill up the performance numbers in a text box.
The first problem is how to access the text box inside the form from VBA so that the macro can write a number in that text box and how to access the button to submit the data. The HTML code, which can be seen on click of F12, is attached below.
The second problem is how to access the Update button inside the other section, so that the data will be finally uploaded.

I am using ADO to retrieve records from an MS ACCESS DB in Excel. All my queries work fine but I am having problems with subqueries. My subqueries work fine in ACCESS but when I execute them via ADO I get the following error message:'"The SELECT statement includes a reserved word or an argument name that is misspelled or missing, or the punctuation is incorrect".
with the correct syntax. Alternatively I was thinking of creating a view in ACCESS but that seems not possible.

I have working code to copy the matching records of an Access table into an Excel worksheet, but now I am trying to modify this code so that I can select a couple of specific fields from the table instead of just copying all of the fields (there are 15 fields in the table, but I only actually need 4 of them for this particular report).
Here is the code I am currently using to copy all of the fields over with the matching records:

How can I modify this so that I put specific fields from the table into columns in Excel that will not line up with the layout of the table? For the sake of the example, let's say that I need fields 2, 4, 6, and 8 of the table to go into columns 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Excel.
The database I'm working with uses a lot of back end code to take Access tables and format and output them to Excel Files. After the table (FinalLoadCharttoExcel) has been created through the append query AppndFinalLCToExcel, I need to sort the table by the following fields: "Terminal Number," "State," "3 Digit Zip" and "Begin Zip" all in ascending order. I need to do this within the VB code. I wish I knew a way to get a screenshot of the table, but this is what it looks like unsorted:

I'm having trouble trying to come up with a way to insert data fields into a spreadsheet form. I have a travel authorization form that I would like to have automatically fill in the required fields based on typing in a name. i.e. I would type in an employees name, and it would automatically fill-in the correct address, etc for that employee. I have attached a spreadsheet that contains one sheet as the form, and another sheet containing the employee data. I know nothing about VBA, but I have a feeling that is where I need to go.
I use a system which produces excel spreadsheets similar to this example (although much larger than this!). This makes it extremely difficult to carry out sorts and to tidy up the spreadsheet - generally I have to do this manually. I am hoping that there is a way that I can easily add in the data as per document 2 in red.
I need a simple macro to use for conditional autofill of cells below the active cell (to the end of the sheet) with the text that is being entered in the active cell.
DESCRIPTION: I have two columns of data, the first (call it Col1), has a word number which is unique to each specific word in a foreign language, every cell in this column has a number in it from 1 to 30000. Each number reoccurs many times in cells over the length of this column.
The other column (call it Col2) is blank. As I type words in english in each cell of this column, I need the macro to autofill the text that I have just entered, into every cell in Col2 where it's Col1 number is a match with the Col1 number where I am typing.
For example, in one row, Col1 has the number "21" and I type in Col2 the word "run". I need the macro to find every row where the number 21 is found in Col1 and automatically enter "run" into Col2 at that location.
The macro must only autofill cells which have no data in them. Preferably from that cell down, although if that is not possible, all cells would work seeing we are only replacing blank cells with data.
I am currently working on a VBA Macro in order to scrape data from a webpage into an Excel spreadsheet. My problem originates from the type of webpage that I am accessing. I am accessing a webpage that is used to filter the type of information, in which I have a Favorite (preset), which is the URL that I have included in the code. Once I get to that page, the code selects the proper function to load the data onto another webpage. It is from this webpage that the data I need to import into the spreadsheet is located.

have been trying to work out how to copy data from a website into a worksheet. For some reason the Data > Import External Data > New Web Query route does not work so I have tried the code below but cannot get this to work either.
What I am trying to achieve is to copy each of the various tables on the page into Excel.

If I copy the source to the notepad, I can paste it to the spreadsheet IF I use the "PASTE" and then click on the "Use Text Import Wizard". This works OK, but, I am needing to do this from INSIDE another macro, and I can not rely on the users, so I need this to be automated. I tried to RECORD the steps, but no matter what, it records only:

I have spent hours looking for the different options available for the "PasteSpecial" but all I find is more people asking what the options are.

How do I send data via VBA from a spreadsheet to a webpage that is already open? I don't want to open another IE window. I just want to be able to navigate the IE window that is already open on my desktop. Also, in reference to the open webpage, with this particular webpage (secure site), when you enter data on 1 screen, it takes you to another screen with a different url where you have to enter a bit more data and then move to a third screen with a different url and enter the rest of the data and then submit. Is there a way in VBA to have one macro handle passing data to all 3 screens and submit the information?
At work we have a particular website open at all times. It pulls random data that is entered by another office and we then pull it up using a unique reference number generated. Is there anyway to create a macro that will scrape the data from this open page? I know that you can use the AppActivate command to set the focus on this particular page, but is there a way to get the data I need from there? I know you can bring up a new webpage with Set IE, but is there a way to use the Set IE with whatever page currently has the focus? Basically my project is if we see any errors, we have to pull up a form I made and enter the data manually. I am just hoping there is a way to scrape the basic information each time so we don't have to do it all manually.

I am currently using the 'Data' - 'From Web' feature to scrape the necessary fields into Excel however I haven't found a way to acquire one of those cells, at exactly a certain time, every day, even when Excel et al aren't open.
I am trying to import data from a website protected by ID and password. I do have the login ID and Password to login to the website.

I have created a userform with multipage, has two page that add new record in a excel sheet. Data has a unique reference no.(TxtRef.Value) for each record. I am trying to add a button to load the added data for a specific record using reference no back to userform so that it can be updated and overwrite back to the sheet in the same row, So far it is adding new record correctly. I do not know how to populate all the fields of the of an existing record and overwrite it back to the same row instead of adding a new record. Below is my codes
