Dashboard To Be Updated If Next Month Date Is Present In Particular Column
Apr 19, 2014I have two tabs in a workbook named "Dashboard and Medicine details"
I need my dashboard to show what are the medicines will expiry in next month.
My Medicine details tab contails medicine details along with its expiry date. If the expiry date of a medicine falls in next month, then it should be displayed in my dashboard.
See the sample attached will give you a clear objective.

Adding Or Subtracting One Month To A Month Number
Nov 12, 2009I have forumlas that will look at this cell and take action of the month in a different cell is either 1 month greater (Frontmonth+1) or less (Frontmonth-1) than "Frontmonth". As we approach December I'm realizing that logic will breadown since the FrontMonth+1 would be 13, not 1 (January)
Is there a way to get excel to add 1 month to just the month number so that if Frontmonth = 12, Frontmonth+1 would return 1, not 13?

Jun 19, 2007I'm making a basic spreadsheet that has to calculate monthly due dates for 'reviews' based on an initial start date.
im using:
=DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+1,DAY(A1))
.... i know thats probably dead simple to you guys!
which works fine.. except when it comes to times when the start date is for example 31 january, so the sequence goes:
31 jan....... 03 March.... 31 march
and my problem is i need 1 review in each calendar month, so i need to tell that 03 March to be 28 Feb instead.

PS: I tried adding 30 (or a similar number like 29). It works but not if I want a large list of dates, which is what I want.

Apr 19, 2007I have this macro (below) which produces the the date on a file name when I update it every month. However, I would like it to show a different version of the date and in a different location.
At present it produces the following (example):

What I would like is:

Automatically Adding Days Based Off Month
Oct 15, 2008I am trying to automatically add the last day of the month based off of the month
for example
a1 = beginning date
a2 = end date
a1 will always be the 1st day of a given month
then based off a1, know the last day,(i.e.... october 1, then put 10-31-08 into a2, or november 1, then put 11-30-08......)

The idea is to have a text box and a command button,enter the month in the text box and click the button. A sheet for the month to create at end.

Dashboard With 2 Validation Dropdown Lists?
Jul 22, 2014I have a dashboard with 2 validation dropdown lists - 1 for Brand name (text) and one for month (mmm-yy) which go and run various pivots, etc.This works perfectly - except the dropdown list is so small its unreadable.
So I've tried a workaround using Combo boxes which I found here:
This does work, but when I select a month on the 2nd Combo Box, it is then displayed in number format eg, 41699. I've tried changing the format to mmm-yy but it keeps displaying as a number.
Is there any way I can make it display as mmm-yy?
Dashboard - Dynamic Hyperlink Macro
Jul 24, 2014I am building a dashboard and would like to be able to have shapes I have created be clickable with a dynamic link to a document on our network. Something along the hyperlink() function.
In a cell, the function looks like this: =HYPERLINK(Worksheet!I34,Worksheet!F34).
The data in I34 changes, depending on the input from a drop down using a vlookup command. Is it possible to create a macro and assign it to a shape to make the shape a clickable link?

Sales will fit in 1 of 3 categories. Less than 25k; between 25k & 100k; greater than 100k.
- if under $25K, recognize in next month (month N+ 1)
- $25K-100K, recognize in two equal parts in months N + 1 and N + 2
- over $100K, recognize in three equal parts over 3 months

To keep it simple I am only looking at 4 fields in the referneced data set. They are Date, Net Calls, Average Handle Time and Agent.
So records look as follows:

I am stuck on the Average Handle Time problem as this needs to be weighted on net call volume contribution by agent conditional on dates being equal to or greater than the start date and less than or equal to the end date.

The Dashboard is separare worksheet and the calculations are done in several additional sheets. The results, based on the chosen values, are updated in the Dashboard sheet in an area starting with column AO and can be like $AO$4:$BR$37, then $CA$4:$DD$37, and so on: total 6 or seven areas.
I would like to paste one area at the time (with all formats, including font, values, borders, merged cells, etc.) into the “physical” dashboard – the visual area on the screen. I do not want to make this operation manually; shall be automatically.
Setting Up Excel Data In Aggregated Way That Can Feed Dashboard Or Daily Report
Aug 19, 2013I want to set up daily charts to monitor various things but Im not sure how best to set up the data in order to do this so it calculates automatically as data is refreshed.
I want to run daily activity data that tells me how many people attend each room per day. the aggregated data would include:
Number of attendances, by room (there are 11 rooms), by day
Each attendance grouped by category of patient (up to 25 categories)
Each attendance by type of attendance (various groups)
How should I set up the data to show these things in a way that it can be linked to a text file and refreshed daily on opening? the data at the moment is in rows per attendance rather than grouped in any way.
I would like the data to have dates and months etc automatically genetared by the attendance date in order to graph the above indicators, as well as a % atttendance in relation to capacity per room etc
simple excel template that I could try to manipulate my data into so I can get started. The data is generates using a transact SQL query and saved as a text file which I wabt to use for the daily stats.

Dec 25, 2013Need to create year to date sales comparing 4 years month by month. Stacked chart (Excel 2010) works OK for the first three months but adding the fourth month changes the chart to 4 series with a monthly axis. To put it another way I need a vertical axis of years and a horizontal axis of $$$ with each months sales of each year stacked on its year.

Jul 10, 2014I have created a time sheet in excel (see attached) that will be part of the larger workbook that will be linked with other sheets to auto fill in most fields. I am wondering if there is a way for an user to enter a Month and a Year at the top of the page and that in turn automatically fills in the days of the month by week.
So in attached sheet there are 5 boxes representing 5 weeks in a month. So if we used May 2014 as an example I would like to know if there is a way that once May 2014 is entered in up to top that. Excel fills in the dates in Week #1 with under Thursday showing 1st, under Friday showing 2nd as on for the entire month...
So as the month go by all user has to do is state the month and year and excel fills in the weekly dates for each day in month.

Using Month Function To Obtain Month And Copy It To Next Empty Column
Apr 4, 2013I am working in a spreadsheet that contains a bunch of data, it is not limited, and varies. It has some fiels such as: name, date of birth, address, and others. I am interested in creating a column with only the month digit of the date of birth for each row.
I have been working with some code, I am not quite sure how to continue. The following table would be a example that I have of the data, it has only to entry in the column of Date of Birth, but my data range will always vary. I want to get the month and past it in the next cell that is available in this case would be column c or 3... The worksheet name is REP.
