way to be able to send an email notification 30 days before the contract expires.
I have attached a sample list. Is there anyway of doing this using a macro or through VBA?
I am trying to make an inventory list with the expiry date of various chemicals. There is a user form which I have not coded yet. What I hope to do is have the macro send an email regarding which chemical is expiring within 90 days to a group of people.

Someone even told me you can get excel to generate an email, not sure if this is true.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have created a database at work which collates various information on the sale of products. Part of this information is the date that each particular product is up for review (In DD,MM,YYY) format. Using the internal clock function I have produced a formula that calculates the numeber of days until expiry.
However, using this information I want to be able to run a macro that looks at accounts that have for instance 5 days left until expiary and populate a new worksheet with various information extracted from my 'main' database. For example, search all the porducts that are due to expire tomorrow and then populate my new workseet with data from cells such as
Product 1 = Cell A1, Cell a2, Cell a6, Cell a7,
Prodcut 2 = a1, a2, a6, a7,
Product 39 = a1, a2, a6, a7
I have created a user Form where a user can enter all the details like (First name, last name, Email ID etc...). the entered data is submitted on Sheet1 and it is working for me.
Now which I want is the is it possible to pick up the last email id (Column D) and send an automatic email where email will be sent the last recipient?
Actually I want is that when a user will fill up the form I want to send him/her an email.
I am trying to change the colour of a cell based on the expiry date. I know I need to use conditional formatting but Im having trouble.
Colomn E from row 5 to 1200 have dates in them from as far back as 08/2013. I need to change the cells so they turn yellow after 28 days and red after 45.
E.g. 1. E953 has a date 07/09/2013, I need it to change colour as above, 28 days and 45 days.
2. E961 has a date 04/10/2013, I need it to change as above, 28 days and 45 days.
Can I formulate the entire E column so when I put a date in, the formula will automatically start.
All the other formula's I've seen involve starting from "today" or "now" .
I am creating a very simple spreadsheet to manage my gym memberships. It basically has membership number, first name, last name, membership type (drop down box) start date and expiry date. I have put in conditional formatting so that the expiry date goes red when expired but i want to try and automate the inputting of the dates so for example.
If i select '1 week membership) from the drop down box in the membership type box it will firstly change the start date to the current date (i think this is using the NOW() function) and secodnly changes the expriry date to todays date plus 6 days. Ofcourse i want the expiry date to increase depending on the selection so if i select 1 month membership it would be now date plus 28 days.
I am stuck as to how i can do this and from internet tutorials have been told it requires macro as it cant be done any other way?
I have an excel file wherein there are lots of line items in sheet1. I need to send an e-mail from Excel but before that it has to be autofilter. Below is how my data looks like.

Here, first the excel sheet should autofilter in E-mail address. In above example, Karthikeyan Devan e-mail address are reflecting twice but the data is different. Now i need to copy both the line and paste it in the body of the e-mail inclusive of heading and send it to that e-mail address.
Once its completed, automatically it should active another autofilter and send it to another e-mail address.
Below is how the body of e-mail should look like. (Here i am taking Karthikeyan Devan lines as example)

ALso, subject line would be: "Action required: EB". To Address would be only one person but CC would be two peope who are always would be same (XXXX.XXX.com and YYY.YYY.com). If this could be automated trust me we are backed by under huge workload
way to have excel shoot out email automatically? I would not know the first thing about VBA, so if it's a VBA code, please talk to me as if I were a 5 year old. I need excel to track dates in a column, and if they are within a certain time frame, i.e 3 months out from today, then excel should automatically send out a notification to the names associated with those dates informing them that they are due to complete that task before it expires. It should also inform their boss that they are due as well as myself as the tracker. Please, if you know the answer to this, word it as simple as possible.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn a spreadsheet a macro calculates some percentages and populates a small table, copies the table and generates an email. The table includes conditional formatting to fill a cell in green if it is above 95%, or red if it is below 95%. The spreadsheet works fine, but with every possible solution I have tried including converting to HTML, the color cell is always red in the outlook email. I am guessing it is because in the transition to the email, the small table no longer is located in the cells that are used to do the color format.
Whats odd is when I copy and paste into outlook it works fine, but I have been unable to figure out how to paste into the body of an email using excel vba. I have read many posts from people with similar issues, most have no solution. I am currently attempting to convert the table into a gif and try inserting that into outlook. Due to the proprietary nature of the spreadsheet, I am unable by policy to publish any code.
I have a spreadsheet with a number of different actions with various different dates associated to them. Is it possible to create a macro that will automatically send an email to my outlook inbox (or somebody elses) when the date is due or upcoming?
Also is it possible to include different content in the email based on say the title of the action etc?
I've been to Ron de Bruin's site. Very helpful; I got the code below from him which sends starts another bit of successful code - email_via_Outlook. The automatic email part works fine. But it only checks the one cell (E3). I've tried getting it to look at E2:E10 but to no avail. Someone said on another forum that the line "If Target.Cells.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub" stops it from checking a range of cells. I want it to check E2 to E10. I also tried another bit of code which read E2:E10 but emailed every time the worksheet was opened; I only want one email sent for every time a line dips below 30.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a spreadsheet set up to track questions coming into a mailbox, some of which we have to refer on to other areas. What I am wanting is for an email to be sent back to the mailbox (same email address each time) when the query has been referred to another area for 14 days (chaser) and 28 days (urgent chaser).
Details
Column B = Name of person query belongs to
Column J = Query text
Column L = this should be checked to see if it = "Referred" to indicate that the query is referred to another area
Column N = Name of the area/person the query is referred to
Column AE = holds the number of days that the query has been referred for
What i would ideally like is that when AE reaches 14 an email is sent in the following format
Subject: Name of person: Query outstanding for 14 days Body: You have a query outstanding with "Column N" as follows "Column J in bold text".
And then once it reaches 28 days
Subject: Name of person: Query outstanding for 28 days Body: You have a query outstanding with "Column N" as follows "Column J in bold text".
Is there a command/formula that will automatically put the progressing date in the tabs of the sheets? Like if I am doing a spreadsheet containing 52 sheets for all the weeks of the year, is their a way I can label the first tab 1-1-2013, and then excel will auto label the remaining 51 tabs when I hold the control key, click/hold cursor and drag the sheet to make another? otherwise I am going to have to manually enter around 1000 dates for the tabs.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to automate a sheet to report statistics of projects based on a single cell that is the year that a user manually inserts. I've got a separate worksheet with all dates manually set up for next 10 years and would like it to be read by formulae in a reporting worksheet based on the year that user enters.
So if I specify year 2014/15 (financial year), I would like the cell C1 under "Reporting" sheet to display 1/07/14 predetermined in "Dates" B3, if I specify 2015/16, the cell C1 will read 1/07/15 from "Dates" B6 and so on.
I could do it with "IF" function but there will be too many nested IF functions in a lot of cells (hundreds if not thousands). This may make my file size very large.
Attached is a simplified example of what I mean.
I have a workbook with so many sheets as the working days of a month. I also have a Master sheet.
The sheets are named as the dates. Example: 020113 , 020113, 030113......etc
In the Master sheet, first column has ALL working dates of the month(i don't care about Holidays).
First row of this sheet are headers.
My goal is from the sheet of the certain date of the month automatic copied certain cells values(same in eatch sheet) to certain cells in Master Sheet.
I want to create a monthly timesheet which contains 9 columns for
(Date, Day, Project no., Activity, Time In, Time Out, Total Hours, OT Hours, Remarks)
I have used IF Function to calculate Total Hours & OT hours automatically. Time IN & Time OUT, Project No., will be entered manually on daily basis.
Weekday function is used in the Day column to return the corresponding day of the date in the Date column.
Name of the Month and Year will be manually entered in the designated cells I3 and I4 respectively.
Now the solution I am looking for is, the dates should be automatically entered in the Date column (in cells A8 to A38) based on the Month & Year entered in cells I3 & I4. Dates of the corresponding month of the year should only be filled in. (If a month is not having 29, 30 or 31st day, the corresponding cells should be left blank. i.e. nothing should be displayed in the corresponding cells). I am looking for some sort of formula to enter in the cells of Date column (A8 to A38) achieve this. I have searched the forum and could not find anything which could at least give me an idea about the kind of function or formula to be used.
Attached here is the time sheet I am trying to create.
I need to know the formula and/or codes to create a trigger on my excel worksheets to send email when an item needs follow-up. The workbook was created on 97-2003 but the outlook program I believe is a later version.
How I can create the email triggers. I am enclosing a copy sample of the spreadsheet I need the Macros attached to (I will need to know how to create/run macros with my spreadsheet. What I need is an email triggered to the sales rep based on the follow-up date. The email should include the quote number and customer name.

Would like to find a formula or macro which would automatically send an email to let me know when a date entered into the specific cell is coming close to expiration. e.g. if the date 01/05/2014 is entered into a cell i would like an email to be sent to me a month before the date is reached (01/04/2014).
Using Microsoft Excel 2010.
I want to set up a spread sheet that has an expirty date of 30 days and once reached the spread sheet can no longer be read.

I have a file that has start date column. I'd like to show the account's expiration date on another cell but it's going to be dependent on another column.
Say
Column A - customers name
Column B - start date
Column C - rate
Column D - End date
Column E - Follow up Date
Rate column will have the ff inputs :
rate 1 = .09
rate 2 = .11
If rate is .09, then end date will be 2 years from the start date
If rate is .11, then end date will be 3 years from the start date
There are several things I need to happen :
1. Show the customer's individual end dates in Column D
2. I'd like to show in column E the follow up date which is 90 days before the end date
Ive been trying to do this for ages now, but decided i need further help!
Im fairly new to VB but getting the hang of it, however this one gets passed me.
I have made a spreadsheet that works out figures and conversion rates and stuff, however i would like it to expire with the option of a password lets say for example after 30 days, this will effectivly dissable, or close the spreadsheet down until a password is put in, then it will all come back to life.
ive been trying to think of a way round this now for days, but headache after headache i still cant get it to work. The formula doesnt have to be that secure, as the people using it im certain would never even look for it untill its too late!
