This is what i want:
When user clicks given cell form will pop up letting user choose cell value from Combo box.
I wanted to use Cell Selected event and just pop up Form but maybe i can do it withought VB.
Is there a way to limit possible cell values to few predefined values?
So user cant put there whatever he/she wants?

I have a combo box that insert certain information in the row corresponding to the active cell. Apparently the events that trigger the code are generated by the combo box ( change or on click) but pressing any key also triggers the events of the combo box.(this is undesirable)
The following code is excuted even when any key is pressed. Any suggestions on how I can go around this problem? (get this code executed ONLY when a combo box event is triggered)

When I use the mouse pointer to select a cell I can't use the arrow keys to move to another cell while the pointer is over the cell and I can't edit the cell while the pointer is over the cell. If I move the pointer away from the cell then I can move around and edit as normal therefore I don't think this is a scroll lock issue.
This issue also happens when I select a tab. If I select a tab and then leave the pointer over the tab I selected then I can't use the arrow keys to move around the worksheet or edit a cell; if I move the pointer away from the cell then I can move around and edit as normal.
I am using MS Excel 2010.
I have a combobox on a form that uses match required. When the user selects this box and does not type in anything then decides to change something else on the form an "Invalid Property value" pops up. Is there a way to get around this. I have tried to add "" to the combobox list but it is still not working properly.

to display a combobox when I double click any cell that contains a validation list in it. I'm not great with VBA so I am having problems finding what each part of the code does. This is causing problems for another bit of code that I use to display a msgbox when certain values are selected from the list.
The MsgBox shows up great when I select an item from the validation list but does not work at all when I select the same item from the double-clicked combo box. It would be great if I could get the MsgBox to work both ways. This is the code that displays the MsgBox when target value is selected from list

I have 4 combo boxes that allow me to make selection from pivot tables. As you know in the pivot table there's the "All Selection" which does not exist in combo boxes (I think), so I created a macro to reset all the pivot tables with the "All" option selected in all of them. However the values in the combo boxes are not changing.

The end part is not a problem; I’m just not sure how to write the one line of code that would test if the cell falls between the two dates. When either J6 or K6 is selected, the code should not concatenate until both cells (J and K) are selected. I would also like a Clear Contents function to clear L6 (or L7, L100, L80 or L13) contents when either J or K cell is deleted. For example, if K value is deleted, the Clear Contents should clean J and L cells contents.
I am trying to do is to make it so that users can enter data into my form (I have managed to create the form and am working on trying to figure out how to get the info entered into the form to appear in my worksheet) and then the data will cause the information to, basically, compile sentences that I want to appear in one of three cells at the bottom of the worksheet.

Lastly, I want the user to be able to select checkboxes that will, when selected, print a comment that will print in two of these boxes. For example, if the user selects yes for cell D26 then I want the text "Customer not eligible for free shipping" to appear in both cells C82 and D82.

Hope this is fairly easy to solve. I have Screen #1 with a listbox with a CLICK event. The event populates a combobox below (with items based on listbox's selection). Listbox is NOT multi-select. Code runs fine manually, i.e., user opens screen selects from listbox, then can select from combobox.
I now what to open and make selections from another form/screen, Screen #2. I've written code to select the proper item from Screen #2's listbox but this does NOT trigger the listbox's CLICK event for me so the combobox isn't populated so I can then make that selection from Screen #1, also. I've tried setting focus to listbox first, then making selection, but that doesn't work.
QUESTION: Is there code that selects from a listbox in a way that mimics the user clicking the selected item in the listbox?
The alternatives I can think of are:
1) Change Screen #2's listbox code from CLICK to CHANGE event, but I'd rather not.
2) Move CLICK event code to sub-procedure and then call from both listbox CLICK and Screen #2 code
3) Some sendkey string like ENTER?
Would be easier to just mimic the user click, if possible.

I am trying to use vba to give a combo box focus only when cell D2 (a cell merge of d2,d3 and d4) changes.
So, If I enter a number in cell D2 and hit ENTER or use one of the arrows I want the combo box to get selected (get focus). I don't want this action to take place when other cells are acted upon this way. ONLY D2.
What code do I need to activate a cell by the choice I make in a combo box? I don't want to change the value in the active cell, just want to offset by columns to enter a number in a different column.
View 7 Replies View RelatedBasically I have a filtered list in colunms A to D. The user selects a cell in column A and I want to then be able to run a macro which copies that cell and the adjacent one in column B, into columns A and B on sheet2.
The complications are
Column B on the second sheet is merged with columns D to E so a straight forward cut and paste of A and B on sheet 1 into A and B on sheet 2 will not work in one cut and paste as it complains about merged cells. It would need to copy and paste A and then copy and paste B to avoid the error.
The row on sheet 2 where it is being pasted needs to be the first row between row 10 and row 30 where col A is blank (so it doesnt overwrite a previous copy and paste as they are basically creating a list on sheet 2 in those rows by runing this macro repeatedly). if there is no blank row then it should insert a new row at row 10 and paste into that

How would I get a particular cell to display the contents of any cell that might be selected.
ie, if I click on A1 I want A2 to display the info thats in A1, and if after that, I click on E12, I want A2 to then show E12's info, etc etc.
