Im using Excel 2007 and have a table of 3 colums: Each row gives a colours RGB values in numbers from 1 to 255. I would like the 4th row to display the color based upon the numbers in the first cells.
Is there a way for me to enter numbers in my cells and have them a specific color? I want all my odd numbers to be bold red with a yellow highlighted cell, my even Numbers to be green with a gray color cell.
I want it to look like this 7 and 8. I can not seem to find anything to show the high light but basically the red 7 will be in a yellow box and the green in a light gray. I will be entering rows and rows of anywhere from 4 to 8 digits
Is there a way to create a macro to color code a cell based on the value in a cell, and then look up a value in a table, then color code it based on where it fits into the table?
I have a table of values for about 30 projects. In column g - there is a CPI value (see bold column)
Example: Project ID Name Program PMT SI ID AC Milestone TCP Level [Code] ......
Here is the table:
I have to color code a cell, base on the CPI and how it fits into the table below. So if the current Milestone is M2 or M3 and the CPI calculated is .14 the cell would be colored RED, if the CPI number is 2.01 for M2-M3 I would want cell to be colored Turquiose. If we were at Milestone M6 and the CPI was 2.01, it would be colored blue. If the CPI was .75 at Milestone M5, it would be colored Green
I have a table that is 94 columns *12 rows each cell has a different number I need to find a way to duplicate the table but with the numbers in each of the cells doubled.
I have attached the relevant spreadsheet for which I need to alter the color of the columns based on Site number ( Sheet 1). % Mortality will be represented in the Y-Axis, and the Site numbers would be on the X-Axis. All columns (% Mortality) except one will be of the same color, and the one of a different color will indicate a specific site. As an example, site 86 is colored differently. The way I require the chart to look is shown on Sheet 1.
After reading through some great posts on Ozgrid, I managed to do this using conditional formatting (Sheet 2), but that sort of falls short because I am required to add a data table to the chart, and the parameter that is indicated by the column bars happens to appear twice in the data table.
I was wondering if this can be automated maybe using VBA, but with the possibility of simply matching the color of columns with the font color of respective entry in the data series.
I am looking for a very simple script that will achieve the following:
On the clicking of a button, Select and shade in a cell yellow, delete the yellow shading of the previous cell. The shading & selection should move up a column of cells, 1 at a time, in the following order:
From B10 to B9, then B9 to B8, B8 to B7 etc until the selection and shading is at B2. Once it is at B2 subsequent clicks will simply keep it at B2 (the top). Thus after 8 clicks the shading & selection should travel from B10 to B2, with only 1 cell being shaded yellow and selected at any one time.
I have a spreadsheet that i download from the net daily, which is seperated into columns of information.
I want to be able to look down a column and mark a cell in a seperate column if the cell font text is red.
For example looking down column A ... if the font text of a1 is red then mark the cell background colour of T1 red - if a2 text colour is red then mark the cell T2 red .... etc etc.
If the font colour in a1 or a2 ... etc etc is any other colour then do nothing.
I have 5 columns I wish to look down and mark in 5 seperate columns - I have tried to do this by conditional formating but don't know the fomula for checking font colour.
How can I add sum of numbers according to color in one row? For example I want to find total of all numbers that are in cash. Cash columns are all highlighted in blue. Cash columns are in B3, E3, H3, K3, every third column. Is there a formula for this? I need to find total for other highlighted columns as well for each row.
Is there a way, WITHOUT VBA, to have a cell turn color if a user overlays a function with a value. Using conditional formatting or an easier way if possible, I would like to have any cells that the user overlays with a number to have a different background color.
I know I could use an event-driven macro but am trying to find a function that can check a cell to see if it contains a formula (or function) or a value.
suppose I have the numbers 1-25 in a column. I want to color the numbers 1,4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25 green, color 2,5,8,11,...25 orange and color 3,6,9,12...25 red. I can not set up the conditional formatting formulas correctly.
I am currently trying to make some VB code that will allow me to offset and select cells depending on a couple of variables.
I have a UserForm that requires two numbers from the user. These numbers will correspond with the cells I want to highlight (the strings from the TextBoxes in the UserForm are called 'test1' and 'test2' in the code shown below)
Dim test1 As String Dim test2 As String
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() test1 = Roww1.Text test2 = Roww2.Text
i want to use the "Browse for Folder" to select the folder where the files is in eg. E:My DocsGlobal and list the folder location and filenames to table (column I:J), and color them according to every folder location.
I would like the "Browse for Folder" windows to be able to select multiple files instead of just one file a time.
I need a macro that would change the cell background color in a calendar according to list of dates found in a table (Holidays & Vacations) which can changes on a yearly basis.
I'm going to be using a spreadsheet to keep track of where different people are at. So if Person 1 is in Room 3, I will stick a 3 in the box next to their name and then can look at the spreadsheet whenever I need and see what room they are in. When I'm deciding what room to put a person in, though, I need to be able to quickly glance at a list of Room #'s and see what one's are still available. So I have a bank of Room #'s in the spreadsheet....1,2,3, etc.
What I'd like, is some way to set this up so that when I put, for example, "3" in the cell next to "Person 1" the spreadsheet automatically removes "3" from the bank of available Room #'s and when I delete the "3" because the person has left, it adds "3" back to the bank of available Rooms.
I have a mass of data which look something like this:
table removed
and I require the ranges of reference numbers to be listed in a column one above the other, which requires inserting new rows. I also need the date & description columns copied down into the newly inserted rows.
So basically for example I would want the top row to now read:
table removed
and then apply the same procedure to the other ranges below this.
In the attached example, you will find column C which has a bunch of qualitative results. Also, in the file or worksheets, you will find Table A which has a color code range.
I would like to have a conditional format down column C that will reference Table A, regardless if it's on in the same worksheet or on another worksheet within the same file?
I have a selection on a worksheet that has 4 consistent columns (A, B, C, and D) each with a variable number of rows all containing string type data. With this data I want to use Conditional Formatting so that when I have a string value of X in column D for any row, that whole row with the X in column D has it's color change to say grey, this should happen regardless of what strings are in Columns A, B, or C.
Below is the way I've been trying to do this thus far and failing, when I run this code below I can only get it to grey out the cell with the X not the whole row.
I am using Excel 2010 and basically i am trying to fill a range of cell with a green color if any value was enter in a specific cells. Example: I would like to fill range: A10:c13 with a green color (regardless of the cells content in this range) if a value was entered in cell C10 or C11 or C12 or C13.
I've tried conditional formatting but unfortunately I'll have to apply formatting for every cell and for a range of over hundred cells is not efficient.
I’m trying to make my life a bit easier, by adding a few macros and formulas to the spreadsheet (Everything was done completely manually before I got here!!!). What I would like to do is take two columns, which contain a start and end time for work shifts, and colour them GREEN once I have entered a name in the Worker column (Along side the two with the time), and also to fill a cell with a Yes or a No. I’m aware of auto conditioning, and I’ve tried to have a play to get this to work, but I just can’t work it out. I have posted a link to an image which shows what I want. I hope I've explained it well enough!
A B C D E F G 23445566894 Brwn pdc aft Cat1 45687930596 $5 45687930596 Gld wdget adi Cat2 23445566894 $6
In the example above, I would like to do a vlookup in column C that matches the digits in column A to those in column F, with the output being the corresponding value in column G. I believe it involves the left function but not sure how to really use it here.
I have a data table that contains begin dates, end dates, and colors. The data is input starting with the earliest begin date. On a second worksheet, I have a listing of the years starting with the year of the first begin date and ending with the end of this year. I need to be able to pull any color choices associated with a year from the data table on the first worksheet. Some years may not be specifically listed in the data sheet as the person could have had the same color choice for several years. Sometimes a person could have more than one color choice in a year.
I am at a loss for how to get to the data I need. I created an example spreadsheet to demonstrate the data I am working with, and an example of what I need my results to look like in the end.
