I have the attached worksheet with clients' names in four columns (A-D). The first names and last names must remain separate. I need one additional column that shows whether a full name (first and last) in C and D also appears in A and B.
Then one more column that shows how many times the name in C and D shows up, but only if it is also in A and B.
I am trying to created a spreadsheet for work where I have created to validation drop down boxes, one each box has been selected i want it to return back with the correct answer in the 3rd column.
below are the 3 colums. i have created a validation for column 1 and 2 but when selected i want the final box to = column 3 ie. >=9, =2

I need a formula to look in column B and find all "jun" (or anything else that I put in there) THEN look in column J and find only all "d" (d is one of 3 choices there) that correspond to the "jun" then give me the count of the "d".
This is an example. With the formula I can do a variety of things to get info that I'd like to have.
The following formula shoud give an answer of 178. I think I am placing the
parenthesis in the wrong position.
The answer I get is 308669
=(((F22*71449)*0.4)+16147/C22)
Cell-F22 number is 1826
71449 is a constant number
0.4 is a constant number
16147 is a constant number
Cell-C22 is 10.8
How can I get this to read each, (if (and statement) and give the correct answer. And not give me the 1st underlined statement answer in cell D10. If that also equals true.
But if any other cells G11 thru G14 equals OUT. It still will give the 1st statement.
I need the answer to be the only one of them correctly that’s equal true.
I know that the 1st underlined statement = true. Because G15= OUT .....

I'm not the best at explaining, but I think that the excel sheet is pretty straight forward.
In Sheet2, cells C3 and D3 are manually entered by the user. I am looking for a formula for B3 that will take the information entered into C3 and D3, find the row in Sheet1 in which column C=Sheet2!C3 and column D=Sheet2!D3, and give the unique corresponding result from Sheet 1 for that row in column B .
So, for example,
if C3=A and D3=102, then the result would be 444
if C3=A and D3=104, then the result would be 111
if C3=B and D3=102, then the result would be 111
The combination of C3 and D3 is always unique and will never have more than one possible result in column B of Sheet1.
I have been struggling with this formula for ages and have finally given up. What I would like to do is to do a lookup on the concatenated values of Province, Department and Initiative No, which has mutiple values in the status of milestone column, and then give the answer based on a condition.
The condition for this example should be, that if the returned status / or statuses of the initiative is all 1, then the value should be 1, if it's all 2, then the value should be 2, and so on.....but if the values returned from the status of the initiative is a combination of 1,2 or 3, then it should give me the answer 2. If 4 is part of the comination of values returned, then the value should be 4.
Zero - 0 should be excluded from the formula as it is part of planned values and not actual.
I created an UserForm that looks for Student Name his/her Conferenece Date through a VLookup.

The txtTranslator and txtTime works correctly, however txtDate give me a number '40850' not a Date?
How can I change this number for the actual Date?
I know that I an probably asking for too much but I must get the formula some way. OK, I need a formula for this:
lets say I have 3 columns (A,B,C (search criteria). In each Column there is a DIFFERENT number. There is 3 more columns (D,E,F (used to compare).Each column has 3 Different numbers. If 3 numbers match between the two sets of 3 numbers I want Column G to display "CCC". IF 2 numbers match I want G to display "CCH". If 1 number is a match I want G to display "HHC". If none of the numbers match I want G to display "HHH".
I can manually do these but it will take waaaay toooooooooo much time to do. If you can do this for me it would be a great help indeed because I'm trying to do other states. With this formula I can use Automate to do a large quantity of numbers.
I have multiple sheets in excel file. Every sheet having same information for different areas. e.g. The bug was reported. One sheet might have answer in YES and other sheet might have No. I need to get answer YES if even one of sheet contains YES for the field.

I have two sets of two columns which contain numbers as text with trailing spaces and I want to concatenate column A and B and concatenate column F and G, and then compare them, and sumif value in column I if they are the same - giving the answer in the same row as the matching data in column A and B.. but in column J.

I have a piece of software that stores what software is installed on a machine when it connects to my domain.
I therefore have a list of software that is installed on machines that connect to my domain.
Each machine that connects to the domain has a unique identifier code.
At present I have about 500 different pieces of software on the various machines.
The unique identifier for the software installed on each machine is a combination of the application (column B), the program (column C) and the version (column D)
I wanted to give each seperate piece of software a unique ID number.
I was wanting to run a formula similar to the pseudocode below:
If $b$1="adobe" and $c$1="8.0.0.1" and $d$1="adobe reader", then "1",
elseif $b$1="adobe" and $c$1="7.0.0.1 and $d$1="adobe pro" then "2", else "no software ID"
I am thinking that if I can get every piece of software that is installed on the machines to have a software ID then I can create a software ID allowed list then I can create a formula to identify what laptops have software on the "allowed" and "banned" lists.
The problem at present is getting the sotfware to lookup what software ID they have as they need to check 3 columns with a lookup list.
I'm trying to compare values in 2 separate columns to see how many times the same value appears in both columns. Ideally I would be able to insert a range function to compare the values in the column "ID 1" against the values in column "ID 2" and return the count of times that a value appears in both columns. I currently have the two datasets as two separate worksheets in an Excel 2003 file. The two datasets consist of the same three columns containing strings of text, but there is quite a difference in the number of rows. Dataset One is c. 3550 records, Dataset 2 is c. 1600. There are no duplicate records within each dataset, but there are duplications across the datasets and the records are in a different order, so it's not a matter of comparing Row 1 to Row 1 and so on. I need a Vlookup to look at two columns when searching. here is an example:
Sheet 1 is my report grid to hand out to the employees, A1 has a drop-down list with my employees names and A2 one for the month, when you click an employee name the vlookup formula fills in the information from sheet 2 (data sheet).
Sheet 2 has data like: Col 1= Month, col 2=employee L-name, col 3= production etc...
currently the vlookup formula messes up because the employee name is in there multiple times because of the months column, i have to delete all months except the one i need. formula is: =vlookup(A1,'sheet2'!,B:C,2,false)
this formula will pull the data in sheet two column 3 (production) for the employee that matches.
how can i make it compare first to col 1 (month) and then col 2 (employee).

To get Column "C" which is calculate how many numbers in that row are repeated with respect to Column "B", I solve it by using : =COUNTIF(B:B,A2) ;
But I want to get a result of duplication in "Column E" by see if "Column B" + "Column D" has the same value regardless of number then say "OK", but if it is not than the before, then write "Duplication found in different column".
The code below compares values on sheet 4 column A to sheet 3 column A and then colors a cell "Green" (Temporary), later I will place data from sheet 4 into sheet 3.
I dont know why but when it finds data on sheet 4 that is not 100% numeric it errors out.

The data in sheet 4 column A is primarily numeric, there are and always will be some numeric/alpha strings.
I can change the value of sheet 4 A2 to "123x" from "123" and the code stops as described. Leaving sheet 4 A1 as 100% numeric, which works fine.
