Count IF And IF Then Subtract Two Times In 24 Hr Format To Recieve Time On Task
Jul 9, 2008
I get a spreadsheet downloaded to excel with a variable of 15 names.
I want to create a formula that if the name Cleardale appears to take the time responding in cell BD and subtract it from the time available in cell AV so that I have the time on task and then to add up all those times in a total time on task for all cleardale listings for that day. The times are listed in the 24 hour format. I keep getting errors. Can anyone help me out on this one? The range of the cells is from AV7 to AV500 for available time and BD7 to BD500 for alert time and the range of the names is cell f7 to f500.
I'm trying to subtract two times to get the difference. Entries are in military format (1615) and VBA converts the time to 16:15. My problem is that when a time is entered between 0001 and 0059 (i.e. 0015), the VBA converts the time to :15. My formula does not recognize this, but does recognize 0:15 (entered without VBA). The cell is custom formatted as h:mm. I've tried several other formats including [h]:mm but can't get any to work. How can I get a formula to recognize it?
I have created a userdefined function. the Idea is for the user to calculate the difference in hours and minutes. The input would be like budtime = 30 , realtime = 1.25 the answer I would like to have is 28:45 (28hours and 45 mins). Im aware that I can format the cell manually with [h]:mm but I'd like the function to do it. I have written this:
Function RT(BudTime, RealTime) RT = Format(((CDec(BudTime) - CDec(RealTime) / 24)), "[h]:mm") End Function
As mentioned below , in excel sheethow to add and subtract time value and get result in time format. As given in below sheet, suppose i want to calculate each day stoppage duration and finally total stoppge duration. Kindly let me know the farmula or function for the same with example. I'm using excel 2003.
I have used Formula to ID cells containing a formula to flag cells red with conditional formatting in a list that do not have formula.
I need a single cell to change colour if any of the cells in the list do not have a formula. e.g. the subtotal in the top row could go red so the user can scroll down to find individual red cells.
Is there a way to count the red cells without formula in the list - Conditionally formatted cells are hard to count. I don't want to use a vba script to do it as the user probably won't run it and auto run slow calculations down.
Is there an array formula that can return true or false if not(CellHasFormula) is true anywhere in the list?
I'm usually able to find my answer but I couldn't find anything to match what I need. Anyway... this is either really simple or impossible to do. I have two cells which have times in each. Say A1 has 5:00 PM and A2 has 10:00 PM. I'm just trying to make it so one cell will say:
From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM... So I tried this ="From " & A1 & " to " & A2
But as I'm sure you already know that yields this result:
Been working on this issue for the last couple of days with no luck. I have a column of data that is a data and time stamp, for any date or time like below. This is an ever growing list as users continue to populate the data.
On a separate sheet I have a list of times by 15 minute increments starting at midnight until 11:59PM like below.
12:00:00 AM 12:15:00 AM 12:30:00 AM 12:45:00 AM
I'm trying to count how often a time stamp occurred between two 15 minute increments. ventually I'll be plotting this data on a graph to show where most occurrences happen.
I am attempting to create a formula that will count the number of times, lets say letter A, occurs in column E. However, the tricky part that I have been confused on is that I only want to count how many times A occurs between each hour of the day. I need to count number of times "A" occurs between each hour of the day for the entire month.
My Worksheet looks as such: Column A contains the dates for the month of November, Column B contains times that random instances occur, Column C is not important, Column E contains a Letter A-N that pertains to what occurred at a time in column B. SO, Column B and column E coordinate with each other.
Here is an example. Column A - Cell A1 - 11/01/2013 , A2 - 11/02/2013, A3 - 11/03/2013. Column B - Cell B1 - 12:01 AM , Cell B2 - 14:03 , Cell B3 - 15:23 Column C - Cell E1 - A , Cell E2 - A, Cell E3 - B
So I would like Column F to display that between 12:00 - 12:59 Am there was X number of times the letter A occurred throughout the entire month.
What I am looking to do is find the time it has taking to complete a task - So the work sheet has four cells (See below) and return the total time with cell E
Cell A Cell B Cell C Cell D Cell E June 5 10:00 AM June 6 12:30PM ????
I am trying to subtract from a collumn 14 seconds from the time that is in the cell. I do not want to manually enter in a formula, or copy and forula into the cell as there is a large amount of data for this. The report will be updated daily and will need to always subtract 14 seconds from the time, and the result should be populated in the cells that the time is subtracting from.
I have a user form with textBox1 = start time (entered as "[h]:mm") and text Box2 = finish time (entered as "[h]:mm"). I would like textBox3 to display the difference between the start time and finish time as a general number!
For example Start time: 21:00 Finish time: 06:30 Hours worked: 9.50
I have a sheet to calculate Time Elapsed based on StartDT & EndDt taking into consideration the actual working hours in any working day and the function exclude the weekend. I am not a guru in excel but i found this formula in this website .
=IF(AND(INT(StartDT)=INT(EndDT),NOT(ISNA(MATCH(INT(StartDT),HolidayList,0)))),0,ABS(IF(INT(StartDT)=INT(EndDT),ROUND(24*(EndDT-StartDT),2), (24*(DayEnd-DayStart)* (MAX(NETWORKDAYS(StartDT+1,EndDT-1,HolidayList),0)+ INT(24*(((EndDT-INT(EndDT))- (StartDT-INT(StartDT)))+(DayEnd-DayStart))/(24*(DayEnd-DayStart))))+ MOD(ROUND(((24*(EndDT-INT(EndDT)))-24*DayStart)+ (24*DayEnd-(24*(StartDT-INT(StartDT)))),2), ROUND((24*(DayEnd-DayStart)),2)))))) the formula works perfectly except for the fact that in our part of the world we have "Friday & Saturday" as the weekend days instead of Saturday and Sunday.
is there a way to get this formula or any similar formula to take different weekend days and do exactly what i need?
What I am trying to do is record the time when a task is completed on the spreadsheet. For explanation sake, lets say I have list of 10 tasks in column C 1-10. In column B 1-10 I have a button for each task. When you press the button for the task, the time it was pressed is recorded in D 1-10. To put the time in I used =now(). The problem that I am having is, when you press button 2-10, it changes the time in the cell above to the same time. So instead of have 10 different times in 1-10, I have 10 identical times, being the last button I pressed. I tried timestamp, time value, etc
These represent time it takes for a fax to send. I'm trying to find the average time it takes for these faxes to send. Using the built in @AVERAGE option does produce a number albeit an incorrect number. Wondered if I could convert these to decimal numbers then covert the result back to time - when trying that I don't get an average but rather a time of day - say 5:55:30PM.
I am trying to make my excel sheet more robust to get data on weekly basis. I assign tasks to different members of team by entering the assigned date in column next to the member names. Next week, say on Monday, I need to get total number of tasks assigned for each of the members till Friday (last working day of previous week!). I need to get this data every week.
Currently I have 5 identical command buttons which do something similar but in a different cell.
What i want to do is sum up the 5 different task using a single command button.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked the first time cell "B4" is populated with a value from a table. When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a second time cell "B5" is to be populated with a value from a table. When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a third time cell "B6" is to be populated from the table, and so forth. Is there a loop or anything that can be used for this? I only want other cells to be populated when the command button is pressed.
I have a workbook that is generated from the system(AS400)but it wont subtract the time finish -time start. I get a #Value error in the cells I tried two different formulas.
I want to set up a spreadsheet that can show my work is completed within a service level agreement, based on working hours of 9-5 Monday-Saturday.
I want to be able, for example, to log that a piece of work is reported at 09:00 on a Monday and completed at 10:00 on Monday and for excel to calculate that as 1 hour until completion. Fine so far. But what if that job was closed at 10:00 two days later? Based on an 8 hour working day, that should be 17 hours.
And what if a bit of work comes in at 17:00 on the Saturday. No one works the Sunday. Say the job is completed at 10:00 on the Monday. that should calculate as 1 hour to completion.
Is it possible to create a drop down menu where additional information can be added then tallied up in a separate table?
I would like to create a menu representing "tasks" where an amount of "time" can be designated per menu for my employees to select and fill. I would like this information to then be tallied elsewhere so I can keep track of our efficiency.
I've attached the excel file to give a better idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.
How do I add and subtract hours minutes and seconds?
I’m writing a program to find when the sun is directly overhead. I’m doing this so that I can find the true north/south line. In the example on my program, at the town of Farmington, a plumb bob will cast a shadow on the north/south line at 11:51:39 on June 16
One of the reports I run provides me information on lengths of time. Such a field displays as |0:09:16| indicating 9 minutes and 16 seconds. However, when the report generates the excel spreadsheet it saves these cells in date/time format ([h]:mm:ss). If I were to convert this field to the number format (so I can manipulate and graph it) it displays as such |0.00643460648148148| Ideally I would be able to have the data in the field stored as |556| (556 seconds, or 9 minutes 16 seconds). I have thousands of fields that I need to manipulate where the data is stored in this format and I can not figure out how to fix it.
I have a cell that is "Start Time." Another is "End Time." And, of course, "Total." The sum listed in "Total" is multiplied by a cost per hour. Except it does not work. I have attached an example copied directly from the cost sheet.
I would like to subtract (for column A) line 1 from line 2, then line 2 from line 3....etc the data in column A represents time I would like to have the result in milliseconds and in a new column (D for example)
