I am using the code below (found on Ozgrid) which almost works. But it seems to be dependent on what’s in column A (which I wish to ignore) for it to work.
How can I modify the code so that the results are based on column B only?

The attached file (a copy of my main one) has a list of our engineers, and what stock they carry. The stock parts are the 64, 65, 66... numbers.
I need to create a list from this (as underneath the main table), for all instances where there is a 'Y' in the columns next to each engineer. So if an engineer has 3x pieces of stock, they need to appear in the list 3x times. If they have 1x piece of stock, they appear in the list once.
I have a huge list of accruals and payments. Accruals (positive) are entered, and at a later date are offset by the payments (negative). Im trying to make a schedule so i can determine which are left over.
This is easy to do manually for a small amount of rows. However im dealing with 5000 rows and i do not want to manually match it would take many days to do.
Ive tried a duplicate remover. To get it to work i made an absolute value column for the negatives, and compared it to the positives column to find the duplicates. This works to a point. However, If i have three accruals for 100, and one payment for 100, all are identified as duplicates which obviously is not what im looking for.
I need to get it where one accrual is matched to one payment. if there are 3 accruals, 2 payments, 1 is not a duplicate. if there is 3 accruals, 1 payment, 2 are not duplicates.

What I want to do is take the entire list and create a distinct list that I can use in a named range then use a validation list to have a drop down within a different tab.
I have a list of serial numbers. There are many groups of 8 same serial numbers, where group consists of 2 projects with 4 SN per project (because of 4 different events). I want to create a formula that marks one project with 4 out of 8 SN for deletion based on set of 3 dates assigned to them. In short I need to count 4 rows per project as one unit.

Here is a list on what information matters when making decision if to mark project for deletion or not.
1. Project1 has no Dates entered compared to Project2. Mark Pr1
2. Project1 and Project2 has no Dates entered. Mark Pr1 (random, does not matter which should be removed)
3. Project1 has 2009 Dates, Project2 has 2011 Dates. Mark Pr1 because dates are older
4. Project1 has less Date entries filled than Project2 (same year). Mark Pr1 because less Date fields entered.
I can somewhat do it for separate rows, how I can make these rules apply for whole project as one unit related only to one SN at a time. Biggest problem is there is no pattern of dates entered. Sometimes one row can be filled another missing out info and etc.

I’d do it manually, but at current rate, it looks like it will take me about 86 hours
I am attaching a file with an example of a spreadsheet that I am trying to sort out. In this example I have 3 samples (I could have many more). Each sample has 8 columns associated with it (N, M, I, F, S, MS, KM and KD). The length of the dataset is different for each sample. The MS column is the same as M but contains a few zeroes. What I am trying to do is:
1) generate one column (MSA) containing only unique values (no zeroes) from columns MS1, MS2 and MS3. The unique values should be selected within a specified tolerance (for example, 0.001, which makes 52.00706 from MS1 and 52.00701 from MS2 duplicate values although they are not exactly the same)
2) generate 3 columns ( named SS1, SS2 and SS3) with sorted columns S1, S2, and S3 so that for each value of MS in column MSA each of the three columns will list the corresponding value of S1, S2 and S3 (zero if there is no corresponding value)

I am using Excel 2013 on Windows 7. In the above example columns A & B is the given list to process, and Columns C & D contain the result I am trying to achieve. The major part of this that I am having trouble on combining, separating them with commas in another cell, and ignoring a duplicate value. You can see bill has two red values, but I only need it displayed once in column D.
Columns A, B, C and D contan a list of Names, I want to be able to in column E list all the items in A,B,C and D with out duplicates. How would I do this?

1) The first column needs to be search to match a text string.
2) If the text string matchs, I need excel to evaluate the number in the second column and find the MIN value of all numbers associated with the text string.
So:

When searching for "Joe", the function would return 10. When searching for "Jim" the function would return 8. For "Rob", it would return "25".
after i use some formula, when it is not found, it will display 0 or #NA or #REF!.
How i can hide it from printing?

I have three columns of data (A,B,C) and I want to add a formula or script to create the data in column D. The 'XXX's are all numerical values and will vary.
Column D should be a sequential list, which restarts at 1 any time that either:
- the value in column A changes, OR
- column A stays the same, but the value in column B goes from something to nothing, together with the value in column C going from nothing to something (or vice versa).
I have the below code, I want to end up with values in column 'A', and a hard coded value in column 'B' for each row in column 'A'. But, I'm ending up with the hard coded value just in the first row of column 'B'. In other words, I want to repeat a value and copy it down column 'B' the same number of times that there are values in column 'A'. In D2:D11, I want a non-duplicate list of all the "1" names, i.e., Bob and Josh. In E2:E11, a list of all the "2" names (Sally, Bill & Jacob), and so on. Sorted would be nice, but not necessary. When new names and their numbers are added to A1:B200, they need to automatically show up in D2:G:201 as appropriate. I've looked over VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, etc., but all seem to simply return the first and not every match. Maybe I'm just missing it.
Is this possible without VBA? Not that I have any objection to it, but delving into and learning it is a little outside the available time I have now. If it takes VBA I'll address it when I can free up some time.
I have a spreadsheet that lists dates in row 6, columns V through BE. We use these dates to log attendance for kids, so under each date there may be one of many symbols, such as "x" if the student was there. I would like to create a list of the dates that meet one of two criteria: either blank or containing "WR". So, let's say column Z is blank and Y has "WR" in it. In column FB I would like a list of all of the dates that were blank or WR, so I would want the dates contained in row 6 for Y and Z. Is there a function that will 1) look for a blank or WR across a row, 2) find the associated date for that blank in row 6, and 3) write the in another column in the form of a list, each date separated by commas? Here is an example of my information. I would like for a function to automatically make the list in column FB for any dates that are blank or contain "WR".

how to properly execute that function. One earlier comment was that I was not specifying criteria. I'm not sure from the description and help section of "morefunc" as to what those criteria specs are, other than specifying the whole array. I have my dummy data, and I have (what I think) is how I want the data to be shown. My friend uses Google Sheets, but I prefer Excel. I am trying to convert the code because I am a stickler for excel. Typically I can convert codes some easily, but this is way beyond me.
For Column A: I want to create a list on sheet 'Setup!' based on ids!D2:D="yes". If that list has duplicate entries, I would like only the first entry to show up, but for the next entries I would like the cell to be blank. (this is important for the next step) For Column C: I want to have the corresponding dates go with the name entry. For Column D: I want to have the notes go with the corresponding date entry. I am working on an email marketing project and i have a small problem. I have two different email list. One (List A) is a large list of potential leads. The other (List B) is a list of leads we are not supposed to market to. I need to delete every lead on List A whose email address is also in List B, so that we do not send unwanted emails to our clients.
The best way i have to do this so far is to go through line by line, which is very impractical.
In case it matters here is out list format. Each list has 10,000 + leads. Each lead occupies a row. The row stretches across 13 columns and each column holds a different variable about the lead (names, state, email address).
I'm needing to generate a unique random value for a database with 3546 cases. The unique random values cannot be duplicates of each other. I tried the =RANDLOTTO function that I learned of in an old post on this board, but that results in "#NAME?" appearing in the first cell. I tried to install the Add-Ins (both the Analysis ToolPak and the Analysis ToolPak - VBA, but nothing seems to happen. Is there another way to generate these numbers?

How best to proceed? I'm also fully aware of the possibility that my present design will also double book people (place then on reception and telephone duty simultaneously).
