Creating SUM In Table Based On 2 Selections From Dropdown List

Aug 19, 2014

I'm creating a new spreadsheet for different fines we have as a football club.

I have a table frozen at the top which looks like this:

Fine 1 Fine 2 Fine 3
Player 1
Player 2
Player 3

Then also I have a list below this with the date and specific fines:

Date Player Fine Amount
(drop down (drop down Entered manually
list of players) list of fines)

I am wanting the amount of the fine to be entered into the table at the top of the spreadsheet automatically based on the 2 drop down list entries. I would also need the table to keep adding the fines together once new entries are made.

Creating Dropdown List To Customize Worksheet Based On Country Selected

Aug 16, 2013

I have a product list where each row of the worksheet has an image, product details and suggested lists/retails for each local currency.

Some products are not available in certain countries and each market doesn't care to see the other market info. (There are hundreds of items and dozens of countries.)

How can I create a drop down selector so that a user can choose their market, i.e. "Australia," and only the rows and columns relevant to them appear?

Can this be done without macros,? This sheet is distributed among 100+ people and needs to work for lowest common denominator.

Calculation Based On Dropdown Box Selections

Apr 13, 2007

I have been trying to put this together but am confused since I am new and this seems complex to me.

This is what I am trying to accomplish:

IE.

$F6 = 100

If $I6 is >1 AND $I7 is = 1 AND $I8 is =1 AND $I9 is =1 then $J6 =$F6
If $I6 is >1 AND $I7 >1 AND $I8 is =1 AND $I9 is =1 then $J6 =.5*$F6
If $I6 is >1 AND $I7 >1 AND $I8 >1 AND $I9 is =1 then $J6 =.33*$F6
If $I6 is >1 AND $I7 >1 AND $I8 >1 AND $I9 >1 then $J6 =.25*$F6

I am trying to divide a dollar amount equally between "Officers" if they were part of a transaction. By selecting the officers it would divide the total amount equally.

Is this even possible?

Fill Table Using Drop Down List Data Selections

Jul 10, 2009

I have a couple of drop down lists of data created from lists as well as fields next to it.

What I want it to do is take that data, which is name, start time, end time, days worked, queue (or work type), and fill the table next to it which is just a 30 minute by 30 minute schedule sheet with days of week 1 and week 2 on top.

I figure it would be easier to have a GO button to do this.

I will attach an example of what I mean, but please, if you guys find that there is an easier way to do this, just let me know, I feel this might involve some code/macros instead of excel functions

Creating A Dropdown List Using Matching Data From 2 Columns To Populate The List

Jun 11, 2013

I'm creating a spreadsheet to keep track of my costs of production in an online game. Within the game there are a range of spawned resources that appear for only a short time before being unobtainable these resources have specific types that is shared between multiple spawns of the resource but each resource spawn has a unique name.

My first worksheet lists all the resources and their various qualities and the later worksheets are meant to allow me to choose from a list resources matching the requirements of the item I'm looking to craft. The example i have shown in the second picture requires Tatooinian Fiberplast and Lokian Wild Wheat to craft so in the Chosen Resource column I would like to have a drop down list allowing me to select the named resource type i would like to use - for Tatooinian Fiberplast the only thing on the list should be Omnitwixi and for the Wild Wheat it should show Fizi and Krad

Creating Validation List From Table Column Based On Data In Another Column

Dec 11, 2013

If I have a table as noted below with the following assumptions:

- this table will likely grow
- the 'Include' column data will change based on external criteria/formulas, so the 'Include' column will not be sorted.
- Macros aren't an option as this sheet needs to be macro free.

A
B
C
1
Item
Calories
Include

[Code]...

How do I build a formula that I can place in a data validation drop down to only include 'Item's that have Yes indicated in the 'Include' column?

I've been researching this and found answers if the 'Include' column was sorted via offset, but I haven't found any to sift through when unsorted. I feel like there is a simple answer to this that I am missing. Here is the sheet --> ExampleSheet.xlsx

Creating Dependent Dropdown List NOT Using INDIRECT

Jun 20, 2014

I need to create a data validation drop-down that is dependant on what has been selected in another drop-down. However, all the solutions I've come across online so far suggest using the INDIRECT function, which is not appropriate in my case. This is because the data upon which the two drop-downs are based on is itself dynamic. My specific situation is this:

In one sheet, I have a list of university names in one column, and in the next column a list of faculties. The same university can appear multiple times in the sheet (once for each different faculty at the university). This information will be added to regularly, with new universities and new faculties added often.

In another sheet, I want a drop-down in one column that takes its validation from the list of universities. I then want a second drop-down that is only populated with a list of faculties at that university. The INDIRECT solution seems to only work if I can define a static range of cells from which to draw this data. How do I do it in my situation above?

Creating Dropdown List That Returns Defined Numerous Columns Of Data

[Code] .......

We use excel for scheduling purposes and each and every day we fill out a floor chart with who is working that day. As it stands now we have to print out a template and hand write all names or type them in and print it out. What I would like to try and do is define each set of names and allow for easy access to auto fill these names. I feel it needs to be a simple process as not all of our managers experienced in excel or formulas. What I would like to try an accomplish is in sheet 1 cell A1 to be able to create a drop list or formula that that would let me return all the names for a given day.

For the purposes of this discussion we can just define each list as the day that is the header ( IE A2:A4 on sheet 2 would be defined as "monday". Also, I already have the names autofilled based off of what the our schedule has. I'm curious if I could create a drop down list with each day of the week as an option, and if they select Tuesday it will then return all the names defined as Tuesday in a column below. And the next day be able to return Wednesday names and so on.

I'm not stuck on it being a drop down list. Maybe if they could just type and =(defined name) in the box above and it would return all the names.

I have tried an =(defined name) and it does return the value but only for the first cell and it has to be in the same row for it to return the name. Which doesn't work because I would like the names that are being defined on a separate sheet.

Creating A Mat Table Based On A Price Table

Dec 7, 2008

Part 1: Pricelist
The user presses 1 of 3 macro buttons to access the price list.
The buttons represent 1 of 3 parts of a construction project.
The buttons are labeled PHASE 1, PHASE 2 & PHASE 3. The macro,
depending on which button is pressed, hides all but the relevent quantity
col & total col.

Each job phase needs its own total & having it setup this way makes it
easier to enter new items into the table (only have to enter
the item once, rather than 3 times).

The first html shows a simplied example of the "price list" described above
(before & after the quantitiy & price cols are hidden).
The user adjust the quantity & the sheet calculates the price total.
Part 1: Material listThe material list is a list of items & quantities the user selected in the
quantity col of Price list. This list is to be printed & given to the workers.
It does not show price, only item & quantity.

This list, unlike pricelist, must be visiablly broken down by job phase.

I dont want the material list to be the price list repeated vertically
on a sheet 3 times. This would take up too much space & require new
items to be entered once in the pricelist & then 3 times in the mat list.

I would rather the mat list be on a seperate sheet from price list & have
a formula in cell matlistA1 that searches the phase 1 quantity col
(then phase2 & 3) for the first #>0.

When a #>0 is found, the formula
would return an item name into the cell on matlist. Then the formula
would run in matlistA2, & search for the next #>0.
(& so on until a complete mat list table, broken up into phases is created)

VB- For Multiple Columns With Different Dropdown Selections

Dropdown Based On A Filter In Initial Table

I need to create a drop down menu where the contents are based on a separate table that has been filtered dependent on a choice made in the initial table.

In Sheet "Bookings" I have a list of lesson times for a riding school.

One of the columns is labelled "Customer experience" and contains either "Advanced","Intermediate" or "Novice"

A second column is designed to assign the name of the horse used by that rider during the lesson.

Horse details can be found a second sheet called Horses.

The horses are rated "Advanced" can only be ridden by Advanced Customers, whilst Intermediate ones can be ridden by both "Intermediate" and "Advanced" customer. Novice horses can be ridden by anyone.

Ideally I would like to be able to include a drop down in the Bookings table that contains the name of available horses.

Creating Lists Based On Values In A Table

Feb 16, 2014

I am trying to create an array formula that would list all the corresponding rows that contain a certain value.

Here is an example workbook to illustrate what I'm trying to accomplish:

Book1.xlsx

I need to create a list/table that would show all the row labels that correspond to a value. For example, I need to make a list of all cells with a value of 1 under the "Green" column and list the row label(s) that correspond to 1.

Creating the list would result in following return values for "Green": A,C,E,F in separate rows.

I've been using [URL] ..... as a guide but the formulas did not return a corresponding row label. Pivot tables did not accomplish this either.

Is it possible to do without using an array formula?

Populate Data In Table Based On Dropdown Criteria?

Currently you see the selection AA-11 & Mar-14 in the Contract ID & Month cells. If I change this, the table below should auto-populate.

I've attempted using Vlookup, Index-Match. But it does not give me the desired result.

Also, the number of Products can change each month (although the file shows 4 for each month & each Account).
