Display Test String Depending On Date

I need a forumla that will dispay a set text message in a cell based on the date in another cell.
I need cell A1 to display the text message "Forwards Booking Date, No Action Required" Where cell A2 has a date entered in it that is the same as todays date or greater - i.e. in the future.
And if the date is in the past for no text message to appear.

I am trying to determine Long Term Gain (LTG,) Long Term Loss (LTL,) Short Term Gain (STG,) Short term Loss (STL,) or No Loss nor Gain (NGL)testing two cells (A1 and B1)and setting a third cell (C1) to the text LTG, LTL, STG, STL, or NGL depending on the results of testing cells A1 and B1.
A1 represent a number of years and B1 represent gains or losses (negative)in dolars.
The way I see the logic is as follows:
If cell A1 or cell B1 are either one of them equal to 0, then it is neither a Gain nor a Loss (NGL.)
If cell A1 is greater than or equal to 1, then it is Long Term; else, if A1 is greater than 0 and less than 1, then it is Short Term.
On the other hand, if cell B1 is greater than 0, then it is a Gain; if B1 is less than 0 (a negative number,) then, it is a Loss.
I need to find (if it is posible in Excel) one formula to test the two cells for posible outcomes:
If A1 = 0 then C1 = NGL
If B1 = 0 then C1 = NGL
If A1 >= 1 and B1 > 0 the C1 = LTG.
If A1 >= 1 and B1 < 0 the C1 = LTL.
If A1 < 1 and B1 > 0 then C1 = STG
If A1 < 1 and B1 < 0 then C1 = STL

If A1 = 10.4 I want to skip that cell, if A1 is 10 I want to process that cell.

I am developing a workbook, one part of the book is to track discipline I have a page for this and a userform on the front page to enter data into it. I would like if you will a summary box (list box or whatever is best) displayed on the front page and I would like a line to appear in that box maybe saying john smith requires a warning. I need this to appear if john smith has been entered 3 times into the name column on the discipline sheet however only if the offence is the same 3 times for example 3 lates not 2 lates and 1 non attendance.
After it displays this line in the summary box I would like to be able to double click it where a small userform appears where a user can then select discipline received or something and for this lien to disappear in the summary and all 3 entries in the discipline sheet.

I am trying to nest a formula with IF & AND to work out a RAG status. I have 2 questions per row (in Columns I:J) which will be answered either Yes or No. For each combination I need to give a RAG status in Column K – e.g. two Yes replies give Green, 2 No replies give no and one No out of 2 will give Amber
Below is hoped for response in Column K:

I need to build a formula to have one cell display multiple options depending on a value in another box.

Details:
Cell D5 Holds a dollar amount. E5 is where the calculation will happen. Logically i need it to do the following exactly:
If D5 is between 5000 and 9999, display 75. If D5 is between 10000 and 14999 display 150. If D5 is between 15000 and 19999 display 200. If D5 is >20000 display 250.

Im currently studying for an ICT A level and im in my first year doing AS. Im working the AQA board and i have a project that i have a target for an A! I need to create a system for a business and write a report on everything i did...wont go into detail. Anyway. i am having trouble with an IF FUNCTION!!! I have a cell (E35) that contains a percentage.
I want the IF function to display a message depending on what the percentage in cell E35 shows;
IF, 0>> Display "Bad"
40>> Display "OK"
70>> "Good"
90>> Display "Very Good"
E35>=100 >>>> Display "Excellent"
I have tried so many things and I was so sure i entered it correctly, but it keeps coming up with an error.

On to what brought me here; I have a spreadsheet with a column containing an address, eg '12 SMITH ST SOMESUBURB NSW 2001'. I'm looking at splitting this cell in half after the street and moving the second half (suburb state postcode) into the next cell, which i've managed to do with a series on InStr statements.
Now the fun part is that not all these addresses are streets, some are avenues (AV or AVE), roads (RD), place (PL), drive (DR or DRV) etc. Initially i just did this:

I have a spreadsheet where I have a list of patients who were evaluated on a certain date unique to that patient. Some of the patients have a subsequent date of death, and some do not (they're still alive).
I need to create a logical test which indicates whether or not the patient died at specific intervals after their unique evaluation date-- at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Additionally, I need to measure whether the patient died at 0-6 months, or 0-12 months, or is still alive.
In other words, if Patient A was evaluated on 1/1/2008 and subsequently died on 10/31/2008, I need to do a logical test that says 3 months = false (no death), 6 months = false (no death) and 12 months = true (death). True = 1 and False = 0 (so I can do a simple column add to figure out how many died at each interval). Additionally, for the 0-6 month test it should calculate = 0, but for the 0 - 12 month test it should calculate = 1.
I'm totally stumped as to how to do this. Currently my spreadsheet reads as follows: (I've put ** next to cells that I need formulas to calculate. If no **, assume it's a value I've inputted manually)
A1 = Patient number (numerical order)
B1 = Patient Initials
C1 = Initial Evaluation date
D1 = Date of death (if any- blank if patient is still alive)
E1 = Patient death indicator (1 = dead, 0 = alive)
F1** = Indicate whether or not patient died within 3 months of evaluation (1 = dead, 0 = alive)
G1** = Actual date of death within 3 month interval
H1** = Indicate whether or not patient died within 6 months of evaluation (1 = dead, 0 = alive)
I1** = Actual date of death within 6 month interval
J1** = Indicate whether or not patient died within 12 months of evaluation(1 = dead, 0 = alive)
K1** = Actual date of death within 12 month interval
L1** = Did patient die within 0-6 months of evaluation? (1 = dead, 0 = alive)

I have create a menu with buttons that are attached to the different projects of vba. This menu will be put in the server of my department so all my colleagues can take profit of the macros. Is a menu in an excel file that only contains the vba projects, not the sheets where the macros are supposed to run. My problem start when you want to open the file. It will always be in the same disk "P:COAP", and then there are more subdirectories (year, month)... so the total path, for example, this month is:"P:COAP2007200706". But every month, it changes, logically.
The problem is that i need to open a file with the name "COAP-200706 Concentració Empresa Emissora" in this case... the only thing that changes is month, and year...
I want to close the booke i choose, to avoid errors, if the name of the workbook chosen is different to a part of this string. In this case, i'm trying to close the book if the name of the file or the book don't contains the string "Concentració Empresa Emissora", without saving changes, of course... because sometimes people have chosen badly the files and they've made a disaster. If the file chosen contains this string in the name i want to continue with all the code that is written after.

I am working to make an automatic result card in which excel automatically gets data of every student which is present in sheet within the workbook by simply writing roll number of the student in a cell. and i have done it easily by Vlookup and index functions but the only problem i am facing is, that i want to show the picture of each student by roll no. pictures are in one folder on my hard drive, now i want that as the roll number of the student is written the result excel should display the picture (from the folder, each picture named by roll)of the student. for example i write 1234 in roll no cell and want to get and show the picture no 1234 in another cell. (from the folder)

1. To get the schedule on sheet 1 to stop calculating further once it has reached the actual number of payment periods as shown in H12.
2. To get the interest calculation in sheet2 to stop once the actual number of payment periods as shown in sheet1 H12 is reached.

I have a code which displays the values of R2, S2, T2, and U2 in one cell (J2). R2, S2 and U2 are all letters, but T2 is a 2 digit number. If there is a leading zero in T2, then in the display of J2, the leading zero is gone. so if the value of R2 is K, S2 is M, T2 is 01 and U2 is S, then I would want it to display KM01S, but it is only displaying KM1S.

I'm writing a macro that will automatically change the display in a column of cells.
The input in the cell would be a decimal value, (e.g. 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2). As of now, I think the only input options are whole numbers and 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 fractions.
After inputting the decimal value, the cell should update to display the value as the following string format :
Input: 1.25
Displays: 1-1/4"
The purpose being to enable fast data entry while displaying in the desired format.

I have a workbook full of a bunch of sheets with the same formatting. Each sheet has data for a 2 week period.
I am making a “master” type sheet and I’m hoping to be able to pull some data from each sheet.
On each sheet:
Row 1 has dates starting on E1 and ending on AF1 (several blank/combined columns)
Row 22 has the data I want to pull, and it is one column to the right of the date. So, F22 corresponds with E1…
Ex.
One sheet looks like this:
E1 = 8/24/09
AF1 = 9/6/09
I got single amounts to work by using:
=IF((MONTH(E1)=8),F22," ")
However, I’m hoping to find a formula that would look at the entire two week period and sum the row 22 amounts for each day that falls within a certain month.
I tried:
=IF((MONTH(E1:AG1)=8),F22:AG22," ")
Which comes back false since not all days in the two week period fall within August (8).
Does anyone have any ideas for a formula that would be easily changeable, and that would pull & sum row 22 data for each row 1 date that falls within a certain month?

In C1, I need a formula that displays TRUE if any of the 4 numbers from A1 through A4 are contained within the text in B1. If not, FALSE will be displayed.

I have a user form that comes up and I pick the dates that I am looking at.
What would be the code to import those depending on the date that I pick?
When my UF comes up, I pick whatever dates, I need to import all the files in between those dates.

I have a truck log. Every time some comes in to take a truck they must log the truck out with the millage. After a week, I am supposed to find out how many miles my trucks ran for that week.
What would be the code to....
In K column, calculate the milage that is in row F; which is A3 - A2 and so on down. But it would have to skip a line every time the truck number changes (in column C) it would skip that line. It would go until a blank cell.
Does anyone have any ideas how to do that?

My head hurts from working on this all day. I have a large spreadsheet and in the top left corner I need to show the percent of vehicles that are not working out of our whole pool. I have a function that detects the color of the cell (Red is broke) and counts the total of red cells and then divides it by the total giving the percent and it is in G118 for Jan 1/2007, H118 for Jan 2/2007 etc. I made a function that will count Julian days from Jan 1, so for today I get 114. I know I need to display G + 114 columns but have no idea how to get that column name from this and always display the current one in the corner.

I have a WB with 31 sheets, each dated 1st to 31st and currently hidden.
I have been trying to write a VBA code that would open a sheet based on todays date... so if today is the 2nd of Nov it would unhide the sheet 2nd, I would also like it to check if a sheet dated 1st is visable, and if it is, hide it.
The date for the sheet to hide would I think need to be relative... but I don't know how to get it right.

i have a excel sheet which i use to schedule my service team. Basically i have horizontally the dates ((a colum for every day of the year) and vertically the guys names (about 25 rows).
I would like to add a function so i can push a button and i automatically print the past, current and next week of my shedule on one page.
In addition it should print my usage chart which is on a different work sheet in the same file.
