I have a workbook with multiple sheets. On each sheet is different sets of sales person data. Each set consists of a sales order number, and the type of product that was sold.
I need a count of all the distinct product types that each sales person sold.
I need the solution in VBA, as i need to run the macro through all the worksheets. The size of the range for each sales person differs.
I have got all the VBA done, except for the part where i specify the FORMULAR1C1 for the specific cell, to do the distinct count.

I have a spreadsheet which contains (see illustration below):
1. a column called LEAD ID which contains a unique id
2. a column called WON which signifies if the deal was won/not won (1 = WON, blank = Not Won)
I can have multiples of the same value in the Won and Unique Id field (see illustration below)
I would like to create a formula field which returns the summary of the No. of Deals WON
I need to tie the formula back to the Lead ID and whether or not the WON field contains 1 or not.
I've tried this formula but it won't work
(Lead ID is in Column A, WON is in column B)
=IFERROR(SUM(1/COUNTIF((A:A,A:A) AND(B2=1)),"0")
LEAD ID WON No. Won (Formula field)

I have this formula that works perfectly in Excel. It counts the unique TEXT values in a column. But it does not work in the VBA editor. Count = SUMPRODUCT((C6:C39<>"")/COUNTIF(C6:C39,C6:C39&""))

i am looking to create a small table from the attached worksheet that will show how many users there are for 3 different locations, the user names are in column a and the locations in column c. the thing is, the actual worksheet i am using in work contains almost 1000 lines, and is being updated daily, there can be multiple entries for a person for projects etc.. and someone can even be in the availability and pto area's without being in the main project area. each resource can only be on one location so that will not change.
also, there can be blank cells for resource which should not be counted. i was wondering if there was a formula or a macro that would count the distinct number of names and reference them to the location and give a count of resources by location?

I want to count the number of unique, or distinct, company names in column [C7], subject to two conditions that will exclude certain unique company names from the count.
I should also point out that most company names appear multiple times in column [C7].
a) Count the unique company names in column [C7]...
b) ...including only those companies who have at least one "Yes" in column [C8] somewhere among their records
c) ...and who also have at least one value equal or greater than "1" in column [C15] somewhere among their records
Note that that there is no requirement that the "Yes" and the "1" ever appear in the same record.

For those of you that love difficult ones, here's one..
I have a sheet that has a column of names.. Across the top row I have dates.. let's say from the 1st through the 31st.... in the body of the report i have different sales numbers and what I am trying to is the following...
1/1 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5
Johnny 3 4 2 2 1
Becca 3 4 1 1 1
So let's say in this instance, mind you my real report is about 342 rows of names and stats.. Is look for Johnny between 1/3 and 1/4 and average those numbers between those 2 dates...
I've tried everything from sumproduct to vlookups and can't seem to get it right...

The purpose of the data is for billing tenants and owners in a building. I have successfully been able to use Index Match to lookup 2 criteria, one of them being a specific date match (see my attachment). However, I need to add a third criteria looks up the date that falls between a specific date range. The concept is to run a query where I enter a Unit (apartment) number into one cell, a Billing Date into another cell and the Type (Owner or Tenant) into a third cell to determine the Name of the person who fits these criteria... Criteria A Lives in Apt XX, Criteria B Who's lease start date and end date is inclusive of the Billing Date that I entered and Criteria C who matches the Type of customer, either Owner or Tenant.

I'm trying to create a formula that will lookup multiple criteria within a table, however the problem I am having is that one of the criteria needs to fall within a certain a date range. I've used index & match to look up the dates when they match exactly, but how to return the same value for when they fall within a date.
I have attached the spreadsheet - Date Range.xlsx! The requirement is to get the correct "pay" from the "Contingent Workers" sheet to the Timesheet sheet. So it will match the Employee ID, but also the date on the Timesheet tab will fall between/or be the exact date indicated on the contingent workers tab.

I am trying to count the distinct times a value shows up in a column, if another column has a 2 in it.
For example:

3,P5
3,P6

The results shoud be: (2) Because I only want to count the P25 one time.

I have two ranges of data and want to count the unique number of times the values in column A occur if they have two values in column B. For Example:

I want to count the number of times value in ColA has the value 1014 AND 3063. My intention is to create a table that cross references the two

My colleagues tried countifs in excel 2007 but i have 2003. i want to specify all the four criteria in a single function to achieve my result (IN EACH MULTIPLE CRITERIA)

I have 2 columns on column contains 2 numbers, the other comlumn has names. We'll use A1:A4 and B1:B4 for the example.
Row A Row B
25 John Smith
50 Mike Jones
25 Chris Carter
50 Mike Jones
I want to be able to count one number in "A" but only if the name is not duplicated in "B".
My result for #25 would be 2.
My result for #50 would be 1, because Mike Jones is duplicated.
The results would be displayed in two seperate boxes, so I would only need on formula to count #25, then one formula to count #50.

I want to count the number of groups of 3 adjacent cells in a horizontal range (C5:EV5) in which any cell in the group of 3 has a value in it (as opposed to all the cells being blank or containing "0"). For example, if any or all of the cells in C5:E5 have a value in it, it would count as 1, and if any of the cells in the group F5:H5 have a value, it would also count as 1, and so on. Is there a way to use COUNTIF for this?

I'm trying to figure out how to count by two criteria, only one of the criteria has a value among multiple values in a cell and the other is a range. I tried to use sum but it doesn't count the value and count doesn't recognize the range. I attached the file so you can see what we're trying to do.

I have a list of several ranges defined in vba, and i am trying to find which range a cell containing word is in excel. Im am looking for help for a good way of doing this.
For an example: Say I have 2 ranges defined, the first range corresponds to column A, the second to column B (just an example). The word "Dog" is written in cell B15. I want to find out in vba what range "Dog" is in. I would like some vba code to check and find either if it in a given range (boolean) or a way of checking a list of ranges and returning which it is in. The word will only appear once on the spreadsheet. I have played around with the find command (A=range.find(Pl), then check if A exists) but i havent had any luck (I get an 'Object variable or With block variable not set) I tried searching for a while, but was having trouble finding something related to what i am trying to do.

I've got a sheet where I've got products in one column.
The second criteria is "week #" for which the row remains consistent but the column varies e.g. "week 8" could be in cell L12 today and in L18 tomorrow.
I would like to return the value of the cell at which a particular product and week intersect. e.g. if "product a" is in B20 and "week 8" is in L18, I want the value of cell "L20" returned.
Product to determine Row #, Week to determine Column # for returning value.
If they interest multiple times, I would like to sum up the values intersecting.
Neither product nor week # is unique in the sheet.

Here is what I have. 4 Worksheets. The first worksheet is a summary page. I have 350 personnel that are broken down into three different groups. So each group has it's own sheet. Here is what I need to accomplish. Results need to be posted on the summary sheet.
I need to compare cells B2 & D3 for each row on a worksheet and display the number of times they match on a worksheet. For example how many times does EP & EP match on a certain row. I believe I need a loop code to do what I need, because none of the functions I've tried have worked. I want to start at B2 and go down the column until I come to a YES. When I find a YES, I want to know the number of NOs that preceded it. Then I want to go from that YES(#1) to the next YES(#2) and count the number of NOs between YES(#1) and YES(#2) and so forth, until I run out of rows. For example, in C5, the answer is 2, because there are 2 NOs between YES#1 and YES#2 in coulmn B, and a 1 in C7, because there is 1 NO between YES(#2) and YES(#3) in column B.

I have a spreadsheet which lists letters issued, the date issued and the potcode. I need a formula that counts, on a weekly basis, the number of letters issued to postcodes in Sutton and Bexley.
I have a count sheet set up on one worksheet and the list of postcodes applicable to each area are listed on another worksheet. I have been playing around with sumif, sumproduct etc, but these don't seem to work as I am pointing the formula to a list of postcodes and not an individual postcode. For example, the formula for one week needs to tell me, the number of letters issed to Sutton between 26/07/08 - 01/08/08. This is what I tried -
=SUMPRODUCT(('MU63 NC'!$F$2:$F$10>=COUNT!B$2)*('MU63 NC'!$F$2:$F$10<=COUNT!B$3)*('MU63 NC'!$D$2:$D$10=Sutton!$A$2:$A$50))
But I get #N/A - if I change the last refernce to a specific cell instead of a range it works, but this will make the process very lengthy as there are lots of postcodes!

I need a way to find a value in a column which has one or more corresponding values in an adjacent column. Then take all of the corresponding values found and count all occurrences of the found values in another column. But I only want to count the entries if an adjacent column is not blank.
Not the easiest thing to describe. Starting to wonder if I need to think in reverse. I hope the attached example makes more sense.

Im trying to return the number value of how many contracts have been signed in a particular month. So in my example I want to look pick out say "IM" and check to see how many of those types have been signed in say "Jan-09" and return that as a number. Have tried various mixes of count, sum, countif and sumif but dont seem to be getting anywhere.

I'm trying to extract the number of times specific keywords are used in Sheet1 and display that number on Sheet2.
For example:
Keywords to be used
ni = not interested
appt = appointment
na = not available
If ni is used 10 times, appt is uesd 2 times and na used 6 times.
I want to be able to see those numbers on Sheet2 next to the keywords.
e.g;
ni = 10
appt = 2
na = 6
