Auto generating an e-mail that will consolidate duplicate rows for 'column a' in my attachment. The key here isn't necessarily deleting the rows... What i really need is vba code that will enumerate through the table and auto generate an e-mail for each individual. For each individual, i need the code to generate a table in the body of the e-mail & attach the activity for that recipient and the date. The trip up here is when a recipient has two activities associated to their name, and their name shows up multiple times in the data set.
I need the code to a) identify the duplicate recipient, b) send out 1 email for that person, and c) attach each activitiy/date (2 or more) to a table.

I have a list of ID's but in the same list there are duplicates, then I have my consolidation sheet without any duplicates, my issue is that I need to have the contents of a different column for each of the ID's.
Data sheet example
Column A (ID) | Column D (Result)
1111 first 2222 other 1111 second 3333 another test 2222 other two's 1111 third
I have many sheets in an excel workbook. Each sheet contains some data. I want data of all sheets into one sheet in the same workbook. The data of sheet 3 should appear below the data of sheet 2 & so on. I leave the first sheet of the workbook blank so that data of remaining sheets can be consolidated in the first sheet. Therefore I wrote the following code:
Public Sub consolsheets() Dim a As Integer Dim rng, rng2 As Range a = a + 1 For a = 2 To Worksheets.Count Worksheets(a).Activate Set rng = Worksheets(a).UsedRange rng.Copy
[code].....
Data of row 3 of sheet 2 (ccccc) is overwritten by data of row 1 sheet 3 (11111). Similarly, data of row 3 of sheet 3 (33333) is overwritten by data of row 1 of sheet 4 (@@@@@).
This problem is not faced if the sheet 1(blank sheet) has some data.
The issue is the I want to put the condition here in my the code that only copies the desired cells if the sheet is named specifically such as "Jan", if not named as this the worksheet should not be used. The current code I am using was posted on this site in 2009: VBA to copy specified cells from all the files in a folder
My modified code is:
Option Explicit Public strSourceFldr As String Public EachFile As Object Public objFSO As Object Public objFolder As Object Public objFile As Object Public strSheetName As String
In a big data sometimes I have identical rows (maybe the 'Quantity' column has different value). I would like to merge them into one and add the quantities together. I have to use B and C (I need both) to find out if these rows are identical.
For example: A1=date B1=111222 C1=ABCD ... and G1=quantity (1) A2=date B2=111222 C2=ABC ... and G2=quantity (1) A3=date B3=111222 C3=ABCD ... and G3=quantity (2)[code]......
I'm busy cleaning information from an excel spreadsheet. Not all the columns are populated. e.g. Row 17 will only have an email address in column E whilst row 18 will have a name, surname, company and email address (same as in row 17).
Using the remove duplicate function, removes row 18 and thus leaves me with the row that only contains the email address.
What would it take for me to be able to remove the rows that do not have the additional columns populated?
Imagine I have 2 columns of information that look like this:
Column A Column B
AS Dog
AS Cat
AS Hamster
FT Fish
These are my key columns. The letters are initials of people and the animals are the pets they're responsible for.
Now, I have 3 more columns that look like this:
Column D Column E Column F
These columns can go on for hundreds of rows.
What I want to do is pull out the information from columns D, E and F where the initials and pet match those in the key list, then paste that elsewhere (say to columns J, K and L).
So, for instance, the first entry would be copied across because, according to the key list, AS is responsible for a Dog, but the bottom entry for AS wouldn't because he was looking after a fish, and that pet isn't listed as one of his animals in the key list (Fish is listed alongside FT). Likewise, the entry for AH wouldn't come across because AH doesn't appear on the key list at all.
I have two different spreadsheets with customer leads on them. I want to ensure that I don't duplicate my effort by contacting the same customers again, so I want to remove duplicates, but not in the usual way. If I simply use the remove duplicates function I will be left with a combined list of customers, some of which I have contacted and some of which I will not have contacted. I want to be able to search the second spreadsheet so that it removes the information that also exists in the first spreadsheet without combining the two so that I am left with a list of only customers I have not contacted already. I understand I may have to copy and paste, but I need a way to ensure the two lists are able to be separated once the duplicates are gone.
Someone said something to me about an "IF" function
I have a sheet with over 1000 rows showing me every employee's benefit choices. It has multiple rows for each employee - one that indicates their health option, one that indicates their dental option and so on.
I'd like to combine them so I have one row that has columns for health, dental, etc...and then their options would be listed all in the same row. I've attached the original with the solution I'd like pasted below. I'm sure this isn't difficult but I'm having trouble figuring it out.
I am trying to separate the data in my spreadsheet. I will attach the spreadsheets and explain below. T
The column labeled number has entries that include commas. I need each number entered separated and put into its own row and I need the remaining data from the original row duplicated to the new rows.
Here is an example using the first entry.
Original entry November Wiseman 1,2,11 Bluen Medical CA How it needs to be separated November Wiseman 1 Bluen Medical CA November Wiseman 2 Bluen Medical CA November Wiseman 11 Bluen Medical CA
The "On" worksheet represents ALL of the students that LIVE on campus (freshman, sop****re, juniors, seniors)
The "JS" worksheet represents all the juniors and seniors going to school here
I need to know which of the JS live OFF campus.
So.....I need a macro that will compare the JS worksheet to the On worksheet and create a new worksheet called Off and populate it with those JS that are not in the On worksheet.
The "On" worksheet contains:
A B Last First
The "JS" worksheet contains:
A B C D E F G Last First Street Street2 City State NY
The new "Off" worksheet should contain the same columns as "JS"
I am trying to get this to sort out to a new workbook instead of a worksheet. There are only two components in C column, so there should only be 2 new workbooks created. I am a little unfamiliar with the terminology for the workbooks.
Using a Month specified in an input box eg: July Payday
Look up that month on the "info" worksheet to then copy and paste all the dates for that month on to a worksheet called "Working Hours". This is the code I have at the moment...not much I know, I don't know how to format the code in to tags:
Sub WorkingDays() Dim LastRow As Long Dim Month As String 'setting the object of Month being the data we need to find Month = InputBox("Please enter the month you wish to record, eg July Payday") 'Typing the Month which we need to copy the dates for
I have a table of information with location codes as the column headers. Each location has from 1 to 6 codes associated with it.
I want to create a new table that displays the information by location instead of code, i.e. adding all of the codes for a location into one column for that location.
I'm hoping the example will make this clearer.
On the main page, I am trying to add in the wa column all of the columns in the raw page that have a code associated with wa as the header.
To make this more complex, I can't use vba on this one.
the only thing I've got so far is a very long, very complex formula that adds together numbers generated from index/matching each entry in the second table.
It works, but its horribly ugly, and if the number of locations goes higher (we could be looking at going to ten location codes for one of our locations) then I'll actually exeed the 1000 characters per formula limit!
I have 7 different files that each contain one sheet. Each sheet has the same headers/data types in columns A:H, but may be any different number of rows in length. I need a macro that goes through each file and copies cells A2 through H of the last row of data and pastes them all into my master sheet ("Timesheets") where the macro will be stored. My problem is that I want all the data from File1 to be pasted, then all the data from File2 to be pasted at the next empty row, and so on. I also need to include a way to tell the macro to move on if a file is not found.
I still have a problem with consolidation of workbooks.
Scenario:
I am working in HQ and at the end of each month, every branch under my care will submit an excel workbook to me. Inside this are two worksheets (worksheet 1 and worksheet 2 for convenience). Both have standard headers and rows and rows of data. Upon receipt, I will keep all these files in a folder called "Oct06" (and Nov06 etc for future mths)
Problem:
I'm not able to find an easy way to consolidate all the various worksheet 1 into one master worksheet. I need this so as to generate a pivot table. At the same time, I need to consolidate all the worksheet 2 also for the same purpose.
I'm trying to get certain Excel cells (varies by column and row) to populate different areas in a Word document. I've tried using both Word bookmarks and form fields and have defined the Excel names with the Word bookmark names as well as using Word's generic terms (Field1, Field2, etc.) with no luck. The VBA code I'm using now is for word forms and will open the Word document but seems to delete the form fields. I don't know if I'm not coding the cells correctly or what.
Sub CreateProposal() Dim wdApp As Word.Application Dim wdDoc As Word.Document
Set wdApp = CreateObject("Word.Application") ' Open word document
I have created a userform but just unsure how to format the code in order to get information to appear in a spreadsheet http://www.srfl.ca/userform.htm
All info goes to the master inventory and then if some enters an amount for respray then it is transferred to the respray sheet. when it is transferred to the respray sheet it put the date in Column A and then put 3 days later in Column B.
Every day it will change and the date in A1 changes to tomorrow but if another item is enter as having resprays then it transfers to the respray sheet and will bump down in column C but Column A stays the in the same spot.
I need Column A and B to move up and down if something in Column C moves up or down and it would be nice to always have the oldest date at the top.
Am trying to put comments on column G based on information on column A. Column A contains a grade eg CDEF picked up from another sheet using vlookup. This grade is suppossed to be the same, but I have cases where I add a different grade say GHIJ to fill up my 99 required grades.Column G is for comments such as "Transfered" (which at the moment am entering manually)How can I use a formular so that each time I transfer from another grade other that the one intended it returns a comment "tranfered" on column G? Is it also possible to indicate the cell from which vlookup picked that grade on the same comment column G.
