I'm brand new to using formulas for conditional formatting. How to achieve the following...

Red highlight for todays date and past dates
Yellow highlight dates up to 30 days before today
No highlights for blank cells or text

I'm using excel 2010.

Every day, I receive a datasheet from which one column is filled with different dates. I like to select only the rows with future dates to copy it to another workbook. I tried Advanced Autofilter without succes as I cannot pick the right criteria (I see today, next week, next month but not all something like to select all future dates).

I just cannot think through this conditional formatting statement.

The conditions:
-- If the current (todays) date is 8 working days after the created date, then highlight in orange
-- If the current (todays) date is 10 working days after the created date, then highlight in red

On other words...
-- The dates that will get highlighted in red are overdue for processing
-- The dates that become orange are approaching the overdue time
-- Any dates that are less than 8 working days are NOT highlighted at all

In column b the next available row would be 16 ( the first 30/10/2012 row ), if I use the counta system i would get 7, and the xldown / xlup system would need to depend on where I start, which is what I need to determine

When I veiw this all I get is an immensely huge list of HMTL.

Excel 2010 :: Auto-copy When Highlighting Multiple Cells

Recently ran into this problem where when I select(highlight) multiple cells, it automatically copies the highlighted cells.

This auto-copy also occurs periodically when I select(highlight) a single cell.

Notes:

1. I do not have a copy hotkey on my mouse, as this also happen when I use the trackpad.

2. This only happens in excel. When I select multiple items on my desktop, it does not auto copy.

Now what I would like to do is have the data in each column highlighted a certain color based on specific ranges. For example in Column B I want anything from 92% - 100% highlighted blue. I would like 83% - 91.9% highlighted purple, and anything under 83% highlighted red. Do I need to have a conditional format entered in each cell? Can I set up a conditional format for the whole column? Once I can figure the formatting in my example the remaining columns will be a breeze since they will be set up in the same manner just different number ranges, same colors will apply.

I am trying to write a macro in VBA excel 2010 that compares 2 sheets.

The macro should be something along the lines of if column 7 on sheet 1 = column 1 on sheet 2

AND

on that same row if column 6 on sheet 1 = column 3 on sheet 2

I have a simple pivot table that is types by state. I want to know how many types are in each state. In the attached image the answer for Alaska is 5, for Arizona 5, for Arkansas 1, etc. How do I get Excel to tell me that for each state?

I have created a comparison sheet and compares my old one from last week to the new one I create for this week.
It populates cells with the differences and shows me the data from the new sheet. But since my they are so massive A5:AZ20,000 so you can imagine how many blanks there are.I want to create an auto summary or something from the non blanks.

Column A has each properties Unique Identifier And the rest is various info for the property. I would like it to return my unique ID and then the columns with new data that has showed up from the comparison some are text and some are numbers.

Also I am using Excel 2010.

Excel 2010 :: Dates As Headers In Table Not Recognized As Dates For Charting?

I'm trying to make a simple chart, which maps the value of an investment fund over time. I wanted to use the new 'Table' feature within Excel 2010 to format and maintain the formulae within the Table, and the 'Header' for the table contains the date, which is not at regular intervals.

If I opt not to use the Table feature, I can create a line-chart with ease, and Excel recognises that the Dates are indeed dates and plots the graph correctly. The minute I convert over to a Table, the Date headers are no longer recognised as dates, and are instead plotted as if they were text, at regular intervals.

I've tried multiplying the Date Headers by 1 to force them back to true Dates, but this still does not work. I've also changed the setting on the horizontal axis to Date axis rather than automatic, but still no joy.

I'm using Excel 2010

I'm working on a workbook for tracking debt. It has 15 sheets. Instructions, Charts (for showing debt change over time), "Invisible" (this is where my chart data is, I plan to hide it), and 12 month sheets. On the Invisible sheet, for example, I have my data set up. I'm pulling the data from other sheets. In the screenshot, I'm using =Month12!P48 as the formula to pull my data from the other sheets. But, the user hasn't entered data yet for month 12, so the line chart drops to zero there. I want it to just stop and do nothing, until there is data in that cell. (I would prefer to use a line chart vs a scatter chart for this, but I have the same problem in both)

Looking forward VBA coding for:

If input is entered into column C (range C2:C100), then row cells for columns D, E ,F, H or I must NOT be blank upon save.
Could be that one or more of these row cells are left blank by mistake.

An error msg pops up upon attempting to save, stops the save and colors each cell yellow that needs info entered into.

I have a simple table for tracking performance evaluations with 3 columns:

Employee Name (A), Date of Hire (B), Eval on File (C)

Evaluations are completed 6 months from Date of Hire (1 time) and on an annual basis and logged into column C.

I need to identify a list of evaluations that 30 days past due from the beginning of each month on a monthly basis.

I spent hours breaking the process down into steps (by adding extra columns to calculate 6 month due date, difference between current date and 6 month, due date for current year, and it still takes a long long long time.

There must be an elegant formula there that can tie it all together. I worked hours to research it and failed.

I put a scenario below to illustrate my table. As of 02/01/14, Anna Li's 6 month evaluation is past due, James and Johns' annual evals are past due as well.

Track & Record Dates, Past And Actual

I am creating a tracker to record, incoming, latest date of reply needed and actual date of reply. So I have column A= received, Column B = need to reply by, Column C = replied on. What I want in A is today’s date which is easy enough with ctrl+; is there a way of having it set that as soon as the cell is clicked on that date is activated and until then it remains empty?

What I have in B is A# + 20 this adds 20 days to the date entered in column A, again is there any way to have it set that this automatically activates when cells in column A are active and not until then, as if I enter that code in the cell and nothing is showing in cell A it gives a date of the 20/01/2008.

In C I have tried a couple of codes and they have not worked so what I would like is a code that when A and B are active it generates a countdown for days left to reply and if this countdown reaches zero then the whole line is flagged up in red as late. Lastly, is there a code that I can use that will automatically correspond with the A, B or C columns and match them with the same number cell in the other columns, sorry this isn’t so easy to explain but what I have to do at the moment is type in B is =A1+20 , A2+20, A3+20 and so on rather than just typing in A……+20 for column B to know it needs to associate itself with the same number cell in column A regardless what number it is.

I have 2 columns directly next to each other each containing dates.

Excel 2010 :: Grouping Dates Across 2 Different Years

I am using 2010 to write some code for a spreadsheet that will be used in 2007, so I know that RepeatLabels is not available.

My question is if you Group a date field by Months and Years and the data spans across 2 or more different years, is there a way to hide months in a specific year? I ask because the Date field has only 12 months in it and if I hide Jan (for example) it hides Jan in both years. (attached pic of filter for Date field below.)

Is there some other way to format it so it can discern between years or do I need to add yet another column to my original data?

I have a column of Dates in Col B with corresponding X values in Col C. I specify a start date in Cell F14 and an end date in Cell F16. I then use the function shown in cell H6 to identify the starting row number (corresponding to start date) in Cell F6. If I used the same function to identify the end row (in this case 4/2/13), it would choose row 8 which is the first row in which it encounters that date. Unfortunately, I need the end row to identify the last row that date appears in. In this case, that would be row 11.
