Fill UserForms Controls Based On Active Cell/Row/Column
I am attempting to write an Excel Macro that would allow me to Click on a particular row and have the fields in my form fill with the data in the columns of the row.
I am fairly new to Macros and VBA, but know that this has got to be a possibility.

Highlighting Active Cell's Row, Along With Any Row That Shares Same Value In That Column
Is it possible to click on a cell in column C, and have the wishlist below happen: That active cell's row is hightlighted. Any cell in that column that has the same value as active cell is also highlighted. Plus, any cell in another sheet that has that value it's row is highlighted too. Example: I click on C5 in Sheet 2 its value is 45000789 it row is highlighted, this value also appears in C3 in the same sheet, so it's row is highlighted as well. Plus, in sheet 1 in C10 this value appears and it's row is highlighted as well. When any of the values are clicked again the highlight is removed from all parties.

Pick Data From A Specific Row/column (eg 10/B) Related To Active Cell
I have a spreadsheet with my Periods along row 10. e.g. C10: "1", D10: "2", E10 "3", F10: "4", G10: "5" etc. (green on the attached sheet). I have my departments along column B, e.g. B11: "Baked" B12: "Fresh" B13: "Frozen" (yellow on the attached sheet) what I need and cannot work out is some VBA code that will populate two variables (lets call them Period & Department) when I click on one of the figures. For example if I click on cell: if I click E14: Period would have the contents of cell E10, and Department the contents of cell B14. if i click G14: Period would have the contents of G10, and Department the contents of cell B14 again. I know how to get the click on the cell to work properly etc, and I have code to slot these variables into that works very nicely, I just can't get this bit to work!!!!

Fill An Empty Cell With First Data Cell In The Same Column, Next Row(s) Down
I am looking for advice on how to move cells containing data (columns D to K in EXAMPLE A), upwards so that the information lines up with data already existing in columns A to C (to be included as part of an overall VBA routine). In the upper example data in cell D2 needs to move upto D1, E3 to E1, F4 to F1, G7 to G1 etc and K9 to K1. Now, data on following rows is to move upto row 2 eg: E5 to E2, F6 to F2, G8 to G2. The first 'block' of data starts at row 1 and finishes in this case at row 9. The next 'block' of data starts at row 10 and finishes at row 18. Row 19 shown is the start of the next 'block'. These 'blocks' may have upto 20 rows ....

I'm trying to skin an Excel VBA userform and all the controls on the form. I found a very good example that skins a userform via a class module. It doesn't however skin command buttons, text boxes etc. I imagine the techniques would be similar.

Check UserForms Controls For Entries
I have created a userform that contains textboxes, option boxes, and comboboxes. I need to make sure that there are no unanswered fileds when the submit button is hit. Preferably Excel would check for empty fields in the userform when submit is pressed. If Excel finds that some fields are empty it would prompt the user to correct the problem before the userform would post the data to worksheet. My efforts so far have prompted the user to change the data, but still posts the data before the change is made. Basically the submit button keeps running through the code right after it prompts the user for the change. If textbox1.value = Empty Then msgbox("Please enter information into textbox1") End If With this the msgbox appears, but doesn't stop the submit button from posting the incompleted data.

Find All Row Values Selected In Multi Column ListBox & Fill Adjacent Cell
I have a listbox that has row and columns. The rows are combinations of options and the columns are Additives. After selecting a row in Listbox1, (first column are names) i would like the value of the second column to goto a specific area.... find that value and in the cell to the right of it place a "Y". The "Y" would indicate that "yes" it was part of the selection row of the listbox. Same for third column, forth, fifth and sixth. The result from the listbox is a number of Y's and N's in the result page. Then making all that were not part of selected line and equal to "N" to hide row (height = to zero). Listbox and expected result are in attached example worksheet. The attached does show the need much better then I can explain it.

Change Fill Color. Offset From Active Cell
I am aware of the ColorIndex, but more specifically I need to change the fill color of a cell that is 9 columns to the right of the active cell. I can't find out how to make this work. to clarify: ActiveCell + 9 columns.Interior.ColorIndex = Yellow There has got to be an easy way to do this.

I found this code to highlight the active row. I tried to make it highlight the row and column, but I was not successful. What I really need is to highlight the active row and column above and to the left of the active cell, not the entire row and column. My excel macro's run fine under Windows 2000 Pro, and Office 2000. The company got a new computer with Windows XP. I now have macros that run OK however I keep getting a pop up message stating. Warning..An active X component is being loaded. I must press OK and the program will run fine. How can I get rid of the Pop up active X message.

Auto Fill Column B Based Contents Of Column A
I have a list that is streets and addresses. All contained in column A. Cell A1 is the street name and then Column A3 is the street number. This repeats down column A for almost 1000 street names. I need to fill column B3 with the street name, as well as B4, B5, B6, etc until the street name changes. I was trying to do this with an if..then but couldn't get it to work. I also tried to work on a do.. loop looking for the change from a string to number. But my programming is a little rusty. If anyone can help I was be forever grateful. Insert Row On Sheet & Move Active Cell Row To It
I would like to create a macro that could archive entries from one sheet and insert them in another. I created one but the problem is that the entry has to be the same row each time. Example: Sheet 1 – is current jobs and sheet 2 is old jobs. My macro moves an entry from Row A-5 of Sheet 1 and moves it to the top of Sheet 2. I would like to be able to scroll through each entry select it and have it moved to the top of the Old Jobs sheet.

Paste Formula To Specific Row In Active Column
I'm trying create a macro to enter a series of forumula's in a series of rows in whatever column is currently selected (or column which has a cell selected). IE if the active cell is C5 I want "=A1+B1" copied to C10 of it was AA43 selected I'd want "=A1+B1" copied to AA10. Formula To Return The Value In A Column Based On Cell Entry In Row
Trying to write a formula that looks for the first number in the same row, then returns the value in that column in a different row. In the example included, cell A-7 should contain the formula. Within row 7, determine the column where the first number is listed (column D in this case), then return the value listed in row 3 of that column ('C' in this case). I've tried Lookup, Index, and Match functions, but can't seem to get the right combination.

Cell/Range Names Based On Row & Column Intersection
i have a table in excel with 36 rows and 36 columns i.e. 36x36=1296 individual cells. Columns and rows have headers/labels i.e. 36 rows with row label headings and similarly 36 columns with column label headings. I would like to automatically create unique cell names for the 1296 cells based on where the columns and rows intersect using the row and column labels. The cell name format I would like to create is [ColumnLabel_RowLabel]. Fill Column Based On Another Column
I need to fill in one column (a county code) based off of the contents of another column (the State). Something that would generally be easily solved through a VLookup. However I want the macro I write to be usable in other workbooks where the columns may not appear in the same order or with the same spacing (slightly different names may be possible too but we'll look over this for now). I have the columns named by their heading, but then I need the macro to go down the two rows, filling in 998 in the county code column, if the state is not OH. I'm working on making a spreadsheet that allows me to select an item type from a dropdown list (through validation) and then would copy in a range of values from another worksheet based on my dropdown selection. The set-up: I am primarily concerned with two sheets in my workbook, BiS and Weights. I have a database of items and their associated values listed in Weights. I have already managed to get dropdown lists of my specific item types using named lists and have put that in the BiS worksheet. Highlight Row Of Active Cell
Is it possible to have a specified shading (say 50%) applied to all rows except the currently picked row and the header rows to allow a user to focus on inputting across the row? I'd use this in conjunction with " Move Selection After Enter" to "Right" so the user would stay on the same row. I've tried the Help function, but can't find anything.

Automatically Color Fill Rows Based On Changing Column Information
I would like to automatically color fill a series of rows based on like information from a single column. When the information in the column changes then the rows would either stop filling (this would be best) or fill with a different color until the information changes again. Summary: series of alternating rows would either be filled or unfilled based on changes from the column information. Hope this isn't too confusing. Below is an example except I would want the cells filled, not the text or numbers to change. The highlight is changing based on the changing of the numbers. Auto Fill Userform Controls From Excel External Datasource
I know I can populate userform controls within a workbook in the form of a database but I want to know if that is possible to do so from another excel workbook that would be set-up like a database. This is what I had in mind: One workbook would contain the userform to select different product specifications with the ability to view previous records (quotes), add new records, and update the previous records. This workbook would be used by multiple users. Once the form is opened (and connection to other workbook is established), previous records will autofill the controls. If the user wants to enter a new record, all controls will clear. There will be a save button on the form itself to save new records (quotes). make the file read only so no data is actually saved in the shared workbook. The other workbook will serve as a database and will have a column for each control on the form. This may require 4 to 5 worksheets.

Automatically Fill In Column When Certain Cell In Column Changed
I am trying to have some automation to my WS and what I want to do, is if a certain column (column 104) is changed, it will fill out that column with the data entered as long as the account is the same (column 5). Return Active Cell's Location/row
I'm having trouble identifing a way to return a location for the position of the active cell. I've searched Excel help with "Position, location, return, activecell, etc." and I can't seem to figure this out. I know that it's possible, so that's why I'm on here! ... Ok, say the active cell is currently "F1", and I need the location "F1" to identify the ROW to be used in a formula later, how would I go about that?
