Oct 10, 2011I have to detect all staff members with the passport expiration dates between two given dates, i.e.

So, I need to have excel detect all staff members with the expiration dates between let's say 9/1/2012 and 12/31/2012.

Finding Dates Without Prompt
Feb 2, 2007I have an excel sheet which contains date in a cell .I need to find the date in sheet and keep it in a variable. I came across this code which finds dates but it prompts the user to enter a value and then searches.But i need the macro to run automatically and find any date present in the sheet without any prompt for the user.

Finding The Difference Between Two Dates And Times?
Feb 14, 2014I am having difficulty finding the difference between two times and dates in Excel. I have researched this on Google and tried several formulas but none have worked for me. The format the data is currently in can be seen below:
A1: 1/3/2014 11:00:02.230 B1: 2/7/2014 08:42:37.637
A2: 2/12/2014 07:51:58.663 B2: 2/13/2014 05:36:31.893
(Note all times are military time format)
I want to display the difference in C1 in a format along the lines of "dd hh:mm". The data for seconds and fractions of a second is included in the source data but is not needed in the final results.
If the date and time falls on the same day, I have no trouble doing a simple "B3-A3" to determine the answer. For example:
A3: 2/5/2014 09:56:06.273 B3: 2/5/2014 10:39:51.34
Gives me an answer of: 0:43
Trying to do the same for A1 and B1 gives me this: "03 21:42" when I format it to "dd hh:mm".
Is there a formula that would give me the correct answer in both of these cases?

Sheet2 is my customer list.
Customers appear only once in sheet2, but may appear mutiple times in sheet1.

In sheet2 I have customer name, first date, last date et al
I am trying to populate first and last date in sheet2 from the lead date and job date in sheet1.
Sheet1 has a range of 500 jobs

Apr 29, 2014i have with noting the most recent date of a test and also the one prior to the most recent dependant on location and test type. I require most recent and previous test info to enable a comparrison to be made. All other dates are not required but need to be kept as historical data and can't be deleted.
Is there anyway i could get column E to auto populate and amend itself as more test dates and locations are added to the list?
Excel 2010 :: Dates As Headers In Table Not Recognized As Dates For Charting?
Nov 8, 2012I'm trying to make a simple chart, which maps the value of an investment fund over time. I wanted to use the new 'Table' feature within Excel 2010 to format and maintain the formulae within the Table, and the 'Header' for the table contains the date, which is not at regular intervals.
If I opt not to use the Table feature, I can create a line-chart with ease, and Excel recognises that the Dates are indeed dates and plots the graph correctly. The minute I convert over to a Table, the Date headers are no longer recognised as dates, and are instead plotted as if they were text, at regular intervals.
I've tried multiplying the Date Headers by 1 to force them back to true Dates, but this still does not work. I've also changed the setting on the horizontal axis to Date axis rather than automatic, but still no joy.
Excel 2007 :: Unable To Convert Text Dates To System Dates
Oct 21, 2011I am in strange situation where I have a data with Invoice Dates. These dates are in Text. However, when I convert it into reall excel dates. For some reason the dates do not come right. convert my text dates into excel real dates. I did a lot of google search and apply these three methods but all of these gave me strange result I was not expecting. These are the methods I used and the result of each method.
Method 1 : Using Text to Column Wizard (Excel 2007)
I highlighted invoice column and went into text to column wizard. I clikced on Date button, and selected MDY format. Strangely enough, my result was day, month and year i.e. DMY which does not seem right.
Then I press Control ~ on this data as shown in second view.

2nd Method - Using formula to convert text date to real dates When I used formula, I get the following result. As you can see, formula is converting text dates into different system dates than the first method.Further strange things is when I take these system dates i.e. 4283 and in 2007 excel format use "Short Date" the same system date gets converted into wrong year as shown in the second view.

Similarly, I tried other methods or copying blanks etch but none seems to convert text dates into real (system dates).

Feb 11, 2013Within a user entered range of two dates, I would like to identify the individual calendar date(s) and count the number of Mondays which fall within the specified date range.I will eventually be using the same "Monday" code to find the same data for every day of the week within the dates ranges, but I figured I'd start with Mondays and build from there.
For Example: Date range 1/1/2013 - 1/15/2013 (date ranges could potentially encompass a full business quarter) Within the range, list each of the dates as dates. Converting Dates Into Excel Dates

Right clicking it and changing it to date format will not work.
I have tried extracting individual days/months/years out by using Left/MID and Right functions but as you can see, problem lies when there days with single digit or double digits.
Days Between Two Dates Separated Into Days Per Month For Multiple Dates - Excel
Feb 13, 2013I wanted to determine the number of days between two dates. Specifically, if the initial date is in one month, and the second is in a different month and an output would result a number of days in each month until the final date. BUT I have a large amount of data to do this for in a list view, way to put a formula in excel and just drag down the entire list to get the required information. see below for an example.
The result I'm looking for is the separate the months and only show the relevant months between the two dates in one cell or the adjacent. Something similar to the table outlined below.

Finding The Mininum Using Excel
Jul 18, 2009I have a list of races and number of racers per race. That is Column A and B. In column C i have a list of odds.
Now im trying to find the Favorite in based on the lowest odds. But i do not know how to go about using the Min function. I need to display FAV under column D to indicate that this odds is the Fav for that particular race.
Since Im trying to find the lowest odds for each race and i have a huge list of races. So this makes it abit complicated to get the formula working.

VBA Test For Finding Excel Version?
Dec 7, 2008Is there a way in vba to test to see what version of Excel is being used? My macro would crash if their data would exceed the 65K row limit in Excel 2003. I have a message that pops up if they do that, and it handles the problem just fine, but if they are ALREADY using Excel 2007 (or whatever comes later) I don't want the message to appear.

Jan 9, 2014I have an excel workbook that a colleague of mine is working with. each time she opens it, she gets a message telling her that a .xls file could not be found, and a web-address specifying the file path. We went through the workbook together and looked at all of the formulas and i cannot find anywhere that this address is referenced. I also looked for any code, but there was nothing showing on any of the worksheets in the entire workbook. I broke all the links to other workbooks, used find and replace to search for the path, and to search for all the formulas. I also copied the tabs to a new workbook, but to no avail.

I am trying to find duplicate numbers in sets but so far I can only highlight the ones that are in exact order. I need to find each set that has the same numbers, in any order. Example..
I will provide an example of sets of 3. But I get 3, 4 usually but sometimes 5 or 6.
I get them from different people.
Person A- 234, 569, 498, 849, 848,343,567,347 etc...
Person B- 432, 596, 677, 566, 565,433, 455 etc..
Now I need to find each set that has the same numbers, any order. Like 234 from A and 432 from B would be the same, so I would need to highlight them 2 sets. But I can not figure out how to do this. For Excel to highlight it they have to be 234 and 234. Does not recognize same numbers, different order.

I need to find out the specific power output and heart rate values, at a set blood lactate value (i.e. When the blood lactate value is exactly 2.0mmol.L-1, what is the given power output and heart rate).
I have tried plotting the data into a line graph with a secondary axis, however because i am unable to change the horizontal axis range for the power output values, i cannot interpret the data in this way.

I want that when I finished writing on the sheet 1(which i do manually) then with macro it go the sheet 2 and find first empty cell in the name column and past the all the data of sheet1 table. Months I will put manually. I am working on MS2003.
