i have this userform which has 20 textboxes. these boxes are used for numbers only. however, i want my numbers, as i type them, to appear in the boxes with thousands separators. even if i don't type the commas, the numbers will be formatted as if i typed them with such. Do i have to format the textboxes one by one for the formatting that I want or there are codes that could be used for all these textboxes?

What I'm trying to do is to use the same form for 10 different levels (floors) of a building. Then on page 2, I'll itemize the values for each floor. So the combobox determines which floor the calculations are for; txtOccupantLoad is the total of all incremental occupant loads on that floor; and txtOccLoad_L1 is the first of a series of textboxes on page 2 where the value for Level 1 should go. If the combo box shows "Level 2" then I'll write new code for the txtOccLoad_L2, and so on. I've also tried including "page1." and "page2." after "me."
The code below works when the textbox (txtExt) is not within a multipage but doesn't when it is. I'm presuming i need to reference the multipage and page number but can't seem to get the right syntax.

I have a MultiPage control that has 67 TextBoxes on it, changes to 14 of these TextBoxes will trigger a public subroutine called TB1Refresh. I have a TextBox and a ComboBox just above the MultiPage control. The ComboBox is set as a MultiColumn. The ComboBox is working. The TextBox is called TB1. The first TextBox on the MultiPage is called TB2. There are no duplicate names on this UserForm. When I scroll though the list in CB1, the values in the TextBoxes on the MultiPage scroll as the they are supposed to. The problem is that every time one of the 14 TextBoxes changes, the subroutine is supposed to fire. Here is the code I use in two of the TextBoxes to fire this sub:

I put a MsgBox at the beginning and the end of TB1Refresh to see what was happening. They never fired! So the question is, why won't the subroutine fire when called upon to do so. This code was working before I added the MultiPage to this UserForm,

The Macro to show the form is not working.Also I need to populate TextBox1 with information on the "Data" sheet.
TextBox1 must show information in C3
TextBox2 must show information in C4, and
TextBox3 must show information in C2
I have tried some VB on the TextBox but it does not update, not sure if i need a command button.
What I want to do is have a sub-Function that will check to make sure what is entered into a TextBox is a number, and if it is NOT a number that it changes the color of the TextBox to Yellow.
Currently if the entry is not numeric it just clears the cell and that part is good, but I want the color to flag that the user TRIED to put something there.
I'm doing this as a sub-Function since I need to use this check about 20-25 times.
I've got a table in a worksheet. Every time the user double-clicks on one of the cells containing the names for each of the listed items, a userform pops up displaying information about that item. Besides other controls, this userform has an Image Box, that displays a picture of the item, and a Multipage.
What I want to do is to display the same picture shown by the Image Box, on to the Multipage, using the same file, but, and here's the quirk, aditionally, change it's size, turn it monochrome, and set its transparency to a different value.
I've attached an example of the final look I'm seeking. This was done by prior editing of a copy of the image and inserting it using LoadPicture, but this solution is too troublesome as this is done solely for aesthetical purposes, thus not justifying all the hassle a user has to go through everytime he wishes to add a new item to the table.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a multipage wizard like userform that for each page has check box selection choices a user can pick from. The sample I've attached uses animal attributes for 2 animals. What I'd like to have is code that populates the worksheet with the animal under consideration (determined by the Frame Caption) in say A5, then populates the attribute selections made starting in B5 with no blank rows in between if they chose not to mark a checkbox.
So for animal one on page 1 of the multipage form, if the user selected attributes 1, 3, 4, and 6 and clicked the "NEXT" button on that page, animal one appears in A5 and then those attribute selections would be in B5, B6, B7, and B8. If the user then selected for animal 2 on page 2 of the multipage form, attributes 2 and 6 and clicked the "NEXT" button on that page, then animal two would appear in A9 with the selections appearing in B9 and B10.
I should mention that the number of rows in Table 1 may grow (or shrink) row size with additional rows added (or deleted) by the user. Not sure if it matters.

I one text box users will need to type numbers and in another they will need to type letters.
Can the textbox be formatted so it will only allow a number?
Can the text box be formatted to only allow text?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn the attached example i have a user form (click Add New Hedge button) and on this form is a textbox for 'Avg. Price'. The value of entered from this box will go into the next available row in column on 'Unsettled Hedges' worksheet.
My problem is sometimes i would to enter the price as a fraction, e.g. 1/2 and other i would like to enter the price as a decimal, e.g. 1.5. At the moment if i enter the price as a decimal figure this will convert it to a fraction in column D of the 'unsettled hedges' worksheet.
What do i need to change in my code to make it enter the price in either format?
I have a textbox on a form that has a default value of 0.00. When the user enters a number I want it to format it to currency with two decimal places. I've tried form.textbox1.text = formatcurrency(textbox1.text,"0.00") but it won't format it to two decimal places.

TextBox1 requires the user to enter a %.
I don't want the end user to do anything to TextBox2 (I've got it set to Enabled=False). I would like TextBox2 to populate in $$ format based on a formula : TextBox1 % x Range("Sales_Price")
I can get TextBox2 to populate correctly, but I can't get it to convert to $$ format. Everything I've come across uses the 'Exit' or 'AfterUpdate' event - but I don't think I can use these events since the User won't actually be doing anything to TextBox2.

I have a userform that contains textbox's that are linked to excel cells and i was wondering if there is a way to format the textbox to show the values in the number format. As the cells values are constantly changing the following code only works if the number is in the hundred of billions but if the number changed to 10,000 for example the format would not adapt.

In my Excel VBA user form, there are multiple instances of the MS DTPicker control, which feed multiple text boxes. These in turn are linked to named cells on an worksheet. Note at this stage please that dates will not always be required, hence the text boxes. Only the button on the DTP controls are visible, alongside the related textbox.
My problem is that the values in the cells are in US date format and I need them to be recognised in the UK date format. The dates therein must be formatted as dates (ie not as text), as they are used throughout other worksheets for calculations. In the sample below, DTPickerDateOfIncorporation is the named cell (the control source). I know from Roy's responses to other questions on the DTPicker that he doesn't use it - is there a better alternative?
I need to be able to format a textbox as curancy. Simple enough, right?
The problem is that this box is loaded from two sources. The first is automatic using the change event, this works well. The second is to enter directly into the textbox, which requires using the exit event, this also works.
The problem comes when I try to use both events. The change event interfers with the direct entry (the format keeps changing the entered value and will not allow the user to finish entering).
