The code below works when the textbox (txtExt) is not within a multipage but doesn't when it is. I'm presuming i need to reference the multipage and page number but can't seem to get the right syntax.
Private Sub txtExt_Exit(ByVal Cancel As MSForms.ReturnBoolean) Details.Activate Dim agExt As String Dim extFind As Range agExt = txtExt.Value Data.Range("M3:M120").ClearContents With Details
Set extFind = Range("B1") For lCount = 1 To WorksheetFunction.CountIf(Columns(2), agExt) Set extFind = Details.Columns(2).Find(What:=agExt, After:=extFind, LookIn:=xlValues, LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, MatchCase:=False) With extFind...................
I have a word template that gives a popup when started for the user to fill out. At present this is okay, but it is hard to maintain. So what I want is to be able to add all needed information in Excel - since our tools have the possibility to export my needed info to this.
I have a spreadsheet in Excel 2010 named 'Input TR'. This info I want in the popup macro in word. When choosing name from a dropdown menu - I want Excel to give me the choices instead of having it in the coded macro. After I have choosen the name - I want the product belonging for this name in the 'Product/Service:' dropdown menu, e.g Test 1 will give the value 1...5. (I will only be able to choose one of them)
Today - everything is coded in the word2010 macro, and thus difficult to maintain.
I have userform with date pickers and have text boxes overlaid on these, when I select todays date from the date picker it does not display the current date in the text box (I have 8 date pickers on the userform). If I select another date then reselect the current date it works. It has occasionally worked but why.
Below is the code for populating the text box from the Date Picker.
Private Sub DTPicker1_Change() TextBox1.Value = DTPicker1.Value End Sub
The initialize userform code uses the following to format and set the textbox
Userform1 is a basic search and find using the text the user enters in a text box, followed by 'ok' commandbutton.
If a matching cell is found in the worksheet, the row is selected and the second userform asks for text via textbox2. This text will be placed in the end column of that row (column L) that was found to have the text input in Userform 1.
What's important is that if on that row some text already exists in column L, that this appears in textbox2 allowing the user to modify it.
I am trying to populate (via VBA) a textbox/combo box from one user form to another user form.
The first user form has a room number in a text box1. If certain conditions exists, a button is selected to bring up another user form (both forms are modeless).
I want to pass/populate some of the 1st user Form info into the other user form.
I have tried the on initialize textbox1.value = textbox other.value but no dice. I can populate a user form text box from a spreadsheet but from box to box in separate user forms has me a little stumped.
I have a userform that pops up upon opening a file. The user form has 5 text boxes names Zero, Two, Four, Seven and Nine. I would like each of these text boxes to automatically populate with the values last used. The values last used are stored in Worksheet "Index Settings" in Cells "C3:C7".
I've created a userform to populate rows in a worksheet. The userform gets details of flights with inbound and outbound dates. I'd like a calendar to popup so the user can just select a date with the click of the mouse which then resides in the textbox until sent to the sheet. I know how to get the calendar to pop up when entering directly into the sheet but I don't want the user to have to touch the sheet unless making amendments.
I need to populate the textBoxes from the selection from ComboBox I've created in a UserForm. I have attached the file that I was working on. I want to be able to keep selecting then populate the text box until I have finsihed.
A textbox on a userform is populated through cell references which have formulas. Works OK. I want to change this by getting rid of the formulas in the cells and have the textbox populated by a name. The following formula is entered in the "Refers To" box =DEGREES(ATAN(RADIANS(ATAN2(Sht1!$G$34-Sht1!$G$33,Sht1!$H$34-Sht1!$H$33)))*(LastDep-Sht1!$G$33))+Sht1!$H$33 The name is "TopLine" (without quotation marks) When I enter =TopLine anywhere in the worksheet, it gives me the proper answer. I have been trying to populate the textbox with "TopLine" but without success. I tried a listbox but that doesn't work either. I have exhausted the search possibilities (I think).
I have a userform which inputs data based upon a chosen item from a combobox. Combobox3 pulls numerical items from Rows17 and below in columnA of active worksheet. The first problem I am having is that the combobox itself is cutting numerical numbers short. Items go out to the thousandths (ex. 1.001) but in cases where there is a "0" at the end of the decimal it abbreviates it (ex.1.01) is there anyway to fix this? The second issue is I would like to populate "Textbox4" with the columnC content of the item chosen. (Ex. User choses Item 1.001 (found in row118) then Textbox4 would = the value of C18) Below is the current code utilized for this userform.
I have a two-page multipage form. I have a textbox on page 1 (txtOccupantLoad), and I want to pass the value from that textbox to another textbox (txtOccLoad_L1) on page 2. The code I've tried so far looks like this:
Private Sub cmbChooseLevel_Change() If Me.cmbChooseLevel.Value = "Level 1" Then Me.txtOccLoad_L1.Value = Me.txtOccupantLoad.Value End If End Sub
What I'm trying to do is to use the same form for 10 different levels (floors) of a building. Then on page 2, I'll itemize the values for each floor. So the combobox determines which floor the calculations are for; txtOccupantLoad is the total of all incremental occupant loads on that floor; and txtOccLoad_L1 is the first of a series of textboxes on page 2 where the value for Level 1 should go. If the combo box shows "Level 2" then I'll write new code for the txtOccLoad_L2, and so on. I've also tried including "page1." and "page2." after "me."
I have a MultiPage control that has 67 TextBoxes on it, changes to 14 of these TextBoxes will trigger a public subroutine called TB1Refresh. I have a TextBox and a ComboBox just above the MultiPage control. The ComboBox is set as a MultiColumn. The ComboBox is working. The TextBox is called TB1. The first TextBox on the MultiPage is called TB2. There are no duplicate names on this UserForm. When I scroll though the list in CB1, the values in the TextBoxes on the MultiPage scroll as the they are supposed to. The problem is that every time one of the 14 TextBoxes changes, the subroutine is supposed to fire. Here is the code I use in two of the TextBoxes to fire this sub:
Private Sub TB8_Change() TB1Refresh End Sub
Private Sub TB9_Change() TB1Refresh End Sub
I put a MsgBox at the beginning and the end of TB1Refresh to see what was happening. They never fired! So the question is, why won't the subroutine fire when called upon to do so. This code was working before I added the MultiPage to this UserForm,
i have this userform which has 20 textboxes. these boxes are used for numbers only. however, i want my numbers, as i type them, to appear in the boxes with thousands separators. even if i don't type the commas, the numbers will be formatted as if i typed them with such. Do i have to format the textboxes one by one for the formatting that I want or there are codes that could be used for all these textboxes?
I am using Excel 2010. I am creating a flowchart which will require formulas. Unfortunately the flowchart connectors work best with text boxes rather than the cells. To make this method work, data will be entered into the text-boxes and will be calculated into other text boxes. Basically I need the data I enter into a text box to automatically fill itself into a cell in the background. I know there may be other ways to do this whilst not using text boxes at all, but I will not be using them.
I can fill a text-box from a cell by using F2 on the textbox and then typing =A1 etc, but I am having a hard time going the other way - getting a cell to fill from the value in the text box.
I'm trying to dynamically populate ranges to facilitate dynamic charts being generated.
I use excel 2010 at work, and 2011 for mac at home.
Dynamic chart ranges populated from named ranges as selected in nested indirectly sourced validation lists
I want any selection made in a dependent validation list which contains a list of named ranges to trigger a worksheet_change event which copies the range the selection points to and pastes it into a dynamic range in another column, beginning as a specified cell.I've tried using this, put together from some code examples from similar, but different issues.
Code: Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) If Not Intersect(Target, Me.Range("B2")) Is Nothing Then Range(Range("B2").Value).Copy Range("P2").Paste End If End Sub
Trouble is, I don't really understand this code. It doesn't appear to do anything when I make a worksheet change in "B2", but I don't know exactly what it is. I suspect that perhaps the fact that "B2" is validated from an indirect source might be difficult?
I'm having a problem setting the multipage tab on a userform in VB. It's kinda weird because the code was working fine until recently, where it's suddenly stopped working properly! The only thing I can think of is that I changed versions of Excel to v2003 recently.
I want to not let the user change tabs unless the inputs entered have been error checked. My code is:
Private Sub MultiPage1_Change()
If Me.MultiPage1.Value > 1 Then If Range("inputs!dob") = "" Then Me.MultiPage1.Value = 1 MsgBox ("Please enter your date of birth before continuing.") End If End If End Sub The tab itself changes fine (ie. shows the tab 1 header), but the contents of the tab are actually the contents of tab 2!
I have a form with a main list box and several other list boxes. I drag and drop records from the main list box to the others. When I drop a record onto one of the list boxes, a corresponding worksheet is updated with the same record. This works just fine.
The problem I have is:I close and re-open the form after having added some dataDrag/Drop a record to the list boxThe worksheet won't find the first empty rowExample: If the worksheet already contains 4 rows of data, I have to drag/drop 5 times before the fifth row will be updatedI would like to drop the data the first time and have the first blank row updated
1.) I have tried variations of "xlUp", "xlDown", and SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell) in the "Worksheets("Monday")... line of code; all to no avail.
2.) The cells contain formatting (borders)
Here is the relevant code:
'Copy items from the list box to the worksheet For intI = 1 To ListBox2.ListCount For intJ = 1 To ListBox2.ColumnCount If IsEmpty(Worksheets("Monday").Cells(intI + 1, intJ)) Then Worksheets("Monday").Cells(intI + 1, intJ).Value = ListBox2.List(intI - 1, intJ - 1) End If Next intJ Next intI
As part of a program I'm writing in VBA (for Excel 2010), I have a textbox in a user form used as an interface to write a formula in cells in Excel.The resulting value of a formula from a cell is loaded up into the textbox. It would be shown in the textbox like "See 1.2 and 1.3" where the formula in the cell is
This is just used as an example but the principle is there. It is worth noting that I’m writing this for very inexperienced Excel users but I need them to be able to edit the string part of the formula without breaking the formula.
However where I’m struggling is to pick up a selection change event inside a text box already selected. I need to be able to check if the textbox.SelStart is within an address value or within the string in the textbox.
The event Enter won’t work if the user is already editing the textbox (i.e. typing stuff) and then clicking or using the keyboard arrow to move the cursor somewhere else inside the textbox. I don’t think the event Change is the solution either as it would mean that the user would have already typed something and as a result the formula may already be broken.
I have had a good look around and I didn’t find an event for a selection change inside a textbox. Does it exists and/or is there a way that would have the same result?
Is there anyway to make the number of multipages you have respond to a previous fill in the Userform? Let's say you have a textbox asking for number of requests, if you type 4, there will be 4 multipages with the same fills.
I am trying to get a scrollbar on a MultiPage UserForm to provide instant results on the active spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is full of charts, and as you move the scrollbar, the charts change. Trouble is, the code I have is VERY slow. Moving the scollbar turns the cursor into an hourglass and that little scrollbar graphic lags about a centimeter behind. Is there faster code out there?
Here is what I have:
NOTE I use both the change event and the Scroll event because using only one gives me only half the functionality of the scrollbar...that is, without both, either the arrows on the scrollbar work or only the slider works.
I know you don't usually print userforms & when you do I know the code, however, how can you print one page of a multipage userform when the page has a vertical scrollbar & you want to print the whole page, not just what is showing on screen?
