I have a combobox with populated values from a named range. I need the first value to be always selected when the form is opened - is there a way to do this

I've got a formbox that has scrollbars and when the userform starts up the vertical scrollbar is centred, meaning people can't see the top of my form. How do get the scrollbar to be at the top when my form loads?

I have one userform that loads combobox values upon userform Initialize. Though through a second userform changes can be made to anotherworkbook this workbook is saves any changes. when i close the second userform i need to rerun the 1st userform Initialize event to update the combobox's incase changes have been made.

Everything works fine to this point. Then it opens the do you want to overwrite dialog and I cant get it to hit yes.
Thought it was better to start a new thread than to continue the old one since the focus in that thread was to get the values into a form and the question this tme is to get the values back into the correct row.
Background. My little application does the following...
In Form1 the user adds information that is inserted as a new row in my excel sheet. A unique ID is created and inserted in column A.
In Form2 the user sees a listbox with the rows in the excel sheet. The user then selects one of the rows and get all the information including the ID displayed to him/her in Form3.
In Form3 the user should then be able to update the values (except the ID) and then the values should be inserted back into the excel sheet in the correct row. I suppose I need the code behind my OKbutton to say something like
If Column A = value of IDBox, insert values in columnB, columnC etc...
But how do I write this code correctly?
I've written a workbook that enables my workmates to enter sample information easily (workbook attached). What i need help on i cant get the combobox 's on the user form to pick up the related info in worksheet named "data" and insert it into the relavant coloumn in tab named "Results". I can get it to work without using combobox's and just typing the info into a textbox but i wanted to use combobox's.
Another thing i wanted to do was pick invidual results and send them the "Report" for printing. how would i do that.
I have two types of lists that has to be populated into comboboxes. First type is in a column with a header - lets say A1:A20. For them I`m using a following script:

With them all is fine until I need to start for example from row 26. (lets say range to populate is T26:T32) Then I`m lost. changing Offset(1) to Offset(26) doesn't work and I`m getting an error. That however can be handled with a workaround - creating another list that starts from the top. So I gave up on solving that. I need to populate a list from a range that is a row - B5:B20
I've adjusted the script to:

Because of some strange reason the script doesn`t see the number 1 in cell B5 and unless there are some more numbers in the following cells, it gives the "no cells found error".
how to include a line of code, to start a sub running at a selected time? Given that the workbook is already opened before that time?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have compiled the following code with bits from here there and everywhere to clear the user entered details on a form. My problem is that I need to retain or reset to "Please Select" the cells with drop down lists.
In list form, I am trying to;
Unprotect the worksheet,
Select the cells with drop down lists and lock them,
Delete the contents of unlocked cells,
Selecting and unlocking the cells with the drop down lists ready for re-use,
Re-protect the worksheet.
(I probably should mention that my "Form" is just a formatted worksheet that looks like a form on the screen and when printed, not any sort of inbuilt Excel function that I have read about somewhere, probably here)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI created a data entry form that contains a ComboBox. The ComboBox is based on a range that has three columns and many rows. The purpose is to have the user select an item from the first column, and the other two columns are automatically filled in on the table.
The form works and the data is transferred to the table as it should. The issue is that when you select the ComboBox, it displays the data from all three columns wrapped in two columns. Some of the data is repeated and it looks confusing. How do I have the drop down show only the data in the first column?
creating this excel file with multiple comboboxes, i was wondering if i can add another into the equation. so i can have sub-categories.

i also have another question, see with the info that would go into the textbox is there anyway you can put writing on seperate lines,

I have checked the name of the Combobox and it is definitely combobox1.

The combobox gets its row source from all the data in column A of the worksheet and the 5 textboxes will have decimal number inputted.
when commandbutton 1 is clicked I would like exel to find the value in the combobox on the worksheet and input the 5 textboxes in colums B-F. I'm sure it has something to do with "offset", but I can't quite figure it out.
Right now I am constructing a macro so that upon exection, the user will be forced to select one of the dropdown menu options which are listed in a dynamic array. The dropdown menu should be in a popup of somekind created by the macro and not on any of the worksheets or charts. I would like to then assign the choice that the user makes to a variant. I have searched the web but not found what I am looking for and was hoping that someone could give me some phydocode that I can look at.
The restrictions that I am operating by do not allow me to place a combobox upon any of the worksheets which is what I find in all the examples posted online.

I've created and coded a vba userform that creates purchase orders for my projects. The user begins by selecting the project code from the combobox (the project code is a unique identifier of each project). Once the purchase order is created, the information is logged in a separate sheet called "POLog" and the userform is cleared. The project code is saved in the first column of the "POLog".
My problem is that when I have more than one purchase order to create for the same project (sometimes I have 20 or 30), the combobox starts out empty and I have to manually select the project code from the combobox. Is there a way to allow the userform to recall the last project code that was used? Maybe recalling it from the last row in the "POLog" sheet?
Its a phone number directory. the data is retrived based on nickname. when a nickname is selected, its phone number and details will be updated in the textboxes ... example: tony (in A2) is selected from the combobox, his phone number (in B2) and details (in C2) are updated in the textboxes.
