How Do I Autofill Colors, Based On Input Of Text

i'm trying to do is have a formula that when certain text is typed into column 'b' (fmc, nmcmc, etc... anyways..) when an airplane is 'fmc' its 'green' and i want the aircrafts tail number block in column 'a' to autofill in with a green color, and when its 'nmcmc, i want it to be red. when its 'bq' i want it to autofill in as yellow.

Find Columns By Name And Highlight Them Certain Colors Based On Text In Another Column

I have a worksheet with 20+ columns. For this macro, I only need to focus on 4 of them. However, none of these columns are ever in a fixed position so the macro would need to find them by name and NOT by column position. Here they are...

1. Vacation Type (will only have a text value of either "Cold" or "Warm")

2. Vacation Started (will always have a date *x/xx/xxxx)

3. Vacation Ended (sometimes it will have a date '*x/xx/xxxx' and sometimes it will NOT have a date and will be truly blank)

4. Number of Days (currently has ALL truly blank cells)

THIS WHOLE MACRO SHOULD NOT BE CASE SENSITIVE ANYWHERE

Here's what I would like the macro to do...

Scenario 1 - for "Cold" values
Find "Cold" text values in the "Vacation Type" column
"Cold" values WITH a date in the "Vacation Ended" columnIF there IS a date in the "Vacation Ended" column in the same row, put the number of days difference between the "Vacation Started" column and "Vacation Ended" column in the "Number of Days" column.

The amount of days in the "Number of Days" column will determine whether these cells should be highlighted GREY or RED.

A) IF the number of days difference is 7 days or less, highlight the cells in the "Vacation Ended" column and "Number of Days" column RED.

Colors The Zip Code That Matches The One Input

I am trying to build a simple spreadsheet for my salesman that given a customer's zip code, it looks up the corresponding territory code for that zip code. I have conditional formatting setup so that it colors the zip code that matches the one inputted, but how do I then return the value of the corresponding territory code. The spreadsheet being searched is a simple 2 column list, with the headings: Zip Code and Territory. What's the best way to get the territory code back to my worksheet?

How To Autofill With User Input

I would like to make a button on my toolbar that will let me autofill whatever cell I've selected down to whatever row I designate. I would like to have a user input where you put in the row number and it autofills whatever formula down to that row in the column selected.

I know how to do a normal autofill, but I don't know how to do a user input or have it input into the autofill process.

Date Autofill From Input Box

So, the macro I'm working on is working great, except for the date autofill.

The macro has an inputbox that requests the date of report from the user. This is manually entered into a textbox. Instead of filling the same date to the last used row, it goes up in incriments of years. IE: (A1) 04/01/2013, (A2) 04/01/2014, (A3) 04/01/2015, etc.

I was thinking a Copy/Paste to the last row would work, but I can't figure out how to do that. ("DateOK" is the name of my OK button, and "ReportDate" is the name of the textbox.)

Here's my code:

I'm a average excel user, i know my way around it and kow common and basic formulee, VB isnt a strong point, but i am willing to attemp anything for this, let me explain

Lets say in colum A I have a list of items, in colum B i have a check box, currently the check box is red, if i tpye a x it turns green due to conditional formating. That works fine...onto the problem...

Lets say in colum A i have my items but they are repeated...eg A1, A145, A166, A122 are all the same item, what i want is regardless of where i place the x each check box under coloum B either gets a X and turns green, or just turns green, i dont mind...

I dont think conditional formatting can cut this, though i may be wrong. Ive tried to use the IF function under condtional formatting but ran into problems...

Finding A Formula Based On Text Input Into A Particular Cell

I do data entry for a driveway company. I get addresses and phone numbers, and then call the people to offer services. I keep track of my calls on the spreadsheet, color coded for my results, green for leads, yellow for voicemail/no answer, and red for not interested.

I have formulas in cells M2 through M8 to give me my overall stats for the calls I have made, it filters them by color for leads, missed calls, and rejections, and a couple other stats (mostly for my own curiosity)

What I'm trying to add is the cells L10 to M13, I want to be able to input a date, for instance 8/15, and have it run the same stats, just for that day essentially. So, I need it to search the last 2 columns in the table for the text that I input into cell M10, and then run the color based formula on those cells, and total them up in the appropriate cells, M11, M12, and M13.

The 2 Stats tables are the same at the moment in the sample, as I only included one particular street that I have mapped, my actual table is nearly 3000 rows.

Excel Pallet Lost Colors (hovering Displays Colors But Visual Clues Are Not Shown)

My pallet lost color-coding - if I hover over each little scare it displays the names for the colors and if I click on them they color the cells with the right colors, but the palette itself lost the visual display of colors except for 8 colors: black, blue, red, magenta, yellow, cyan, and white.

I use color-coding of cells a lot and I find it difficult to work without visual clues. At least the hover-support allows me to get the work done, but with difficulty.

Input Text In Given Cell After Any Input In An Area

I am just starting to get my feet a little damp with VBA and I am trying to make a macro that will act whenever any text is entered in any cell within a 3x3 square. Whenever any text is entered in any of those cells I would like it to enter a text ( "X" ) in a cell which is specified by a cell in the spreadsheet (this cell will output which cell the macro should write the text in in this format "A:1" or "C:3"). How can I make the program act only in reaction to the user entering thier text, and also, how can I get the macro to read A:1 and enter the text into that specific cell? Any help would be so awesome, the book I have is really difficult to navigate.

I have a data base in which I classify cells in three colors (green, yellow, and red) on my own. I would like the first cell in each column to indicate if there is a red or yellow cell in it's column. Because red cells are more important then yellow cells, if there is a yellow and a red cell in the column, I would like the red to over ride the yellow and the first cell would indicate red.

So basically, if there is a red cell in the column, no matter what other colors there are, the first cell should show red. If there is only yellow or yellow and green cells, the first cell should show yellow. If there are only green cells or green cells and clear, the first cell should show clear.

I have to make a macheine cycle chart. I have a column containing Step Names and a column containing step time in whole seconds. I need to paste the step names across Row 1 and whole numbers counting to X down colum A. I then need to have each second represented by coloring the cell, for example, Step 1 is 1 sec. and Step 2 is 2 sec. if "Step 1" is in B1 I need B2 colored then for "Step 2" in C1 i need C3-4 highlighted and so on for a variable number of steps. Column A is expenditure during 24th to 31st
Column D is expenditure during 1st to 8th

I am in need of VBA code so that I can fill out an input form generated by someone elses macro input box. (I am the user, not the one developing the input box).

I am working to streamline a whole cluster of macros and this input box is currently my bottleneck. When the input box pops up, instead of me manually typing, I want to autofill the space with "104" and then click 'ok' uisng VBA.

I can not modify the actual VBA that created the input box (ie make 104 the default) because other users need the box to be blank.

What I need to be able to achieve is a function in my macro that will

a: Count the number of rows in the active sheet
b: Allow me to use this info in other functions, such as subtotals, autofills

After searching many sites I'm pretty certain the function I need to use is "rowcount".

I've managed to incorporate a loop using this function, which is fine when running the macro but not so good when you are stepping through 5000+ rows

RowCount = ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Rows.Count
For x = 2 To RowCount
Cells(x, 42).Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
Next x

So for me now it seems as though "x" should represent the number of row that has been counted in the above code. But when I try to use "x" in functions the macro falls over

I am making a movie ticket spreadsheet for the employees to use when selling movie tickets. Below are the feilds that I have. Everything is based on the number of tickets sold. So when someone sells 5 tickets I would like the date entered without changing when I update the sheet the day after.

I have wookbook with a lot of sheets on it

The first sheet to be filled is called "Local Info"

In this sheet in the Active Cell "G7" the user must register a number between 0-500

This number must affect my next sheet called Competence Map Autofilling rows 7+8 from Columns A to AM

So If for example I put 83 in "local INFO" G7.

I will get 172 rows with text (the first 6 Headers) the 7-8 original and from 9-172 filled with the information given.
