I am trying to retrieve data from another file using the VLOOKUP function however this is only to happen depending on if any of the 3 items of data appear in column 8(H)

The error message I receive is the following: "Run-time error 13, Type mismatch"
I precise that the next step is to make the ",6," part in the vlookup formula also variable... but I guess once my current issue is solved this one will be a piece of cake.
I am trying to auto-fill a matrix in sheet 1 with information from sheet 2. see the attached example. Only, in this case I put the values into sheet 1 manually. Is it possible to this without VBA? I am experimenting with an INDEX/MATCH combination, but thought I'd raise the question here in parallel.
I have six complex functions, which I would like to place in [A2] depending on what is placed in [A1], The functions themselves are quite extensive and I don't want to use any active functions (like INDIRECT) as this will cause slow calculations. [A1] will just be a given name to each of these functions.
Example below of the data I have. I need to convert dates into DD.MM.YY (8 chars) for SAP. I receive spreadsheets where the date is dd/mm/yy and I use the replace to convert the "/" to ".", then format this column as TEXT. My problem is some of these sheets have hundreds of records and rather than individually scroll through and look for data that requires the "0", is there a way to insert this. I can custom format that it looks as it has the zero, but it is not in the true data.

I am trying to insert a row after the days that meet the following condition in Column I. I want a row inserted inbetween 120 and 121, 90 and 91, 60 and 61, 30 and 31,15 and 16, 0 and 1. I only want these rows to be place after the last of those numbers being there can be multiples of each and range from A to F. I have tried a number of different things with no success.
I am working on a search and replace macro. It's purpose is that within a region that varies only in row size, it's suppose to compare two values, A and B. A is only placed in one cell in the region, while B is a one column range in the region.
If A <> B, A should replace all B's in the region.
These regions are placed on top of each other in a long table. Please see the sample workbook, SampleDRW.xlsm

The problem is if the B value in the next region is the same as the one before but the A value change, my code don't pick up on it, because it only looks for changing B!
How can I expand the code to also pick up on this problem?
My challenge is pulling in a data element from a file to an exisiting file based on two criteria. Example: give me the value in cell e1 if cell b1 matches AND

how do I get C2 value from file 1 (276) into file2 since column A is not unique but column A plus Column B is unique?

In an excel workbook i have a sheet that has rows and rows of Sales Leads.
In column A i put a letter "C" if they have turned into a client or an "X" if the sale was not made.
I am looking for a function that will look at column A and when it sees the letter "C" then copy the entire row across and put the row into sheet 2.....

My requirement to take the material value and date in table2 and match it with table1 and get the value of column D in table 1 to column C of table2.
I have tried using vlookup but it only works for the first match and doesn't check for other values
I am not sure if the VLookup or the If function will be the best way to perform this tast but I think it is they way I would want to go.

On sheet 1 I named the table array Ear_Tag.
This is information that is provided to me from the farmers.
Note that there are sometimes more then 1 pig with the same tag number. The only way to tell them apart is by the Test Date.
On Sheet 2 Is where I record the test results.
I dont want to have to look up each pig after each test and fill in the rest of the cells manually. I would like to have a look up of the ear tag and the test date to find the correct pig. Then each of the cells will fill in the correct information.

Long way, create a new column on sheet1, run a VLookup to insert the numeric value into the new column, then do an "equals" on sheet 3 that point to the Vlookup results. How can I get the value onto sheet3 without creating the extra column?

I have two sheets. One called "Roster" and one called "final". On the final sheet i have cols for each question on the final exam. I also have a total col which sums up the pts for each question.
On the "roster" sheet. This is kinda like a summary sheet. On this sheet i use a vlookup (shown below) in the cells which are supposed to reference the cells on the "final" sheet for the total pts.
On sheet1, I want to insert a Vlookup formula that will look in the other two sheets and will return a value (say the variable Y) if two lookup values are met and return a blank if they are not met.
Example. Sheet1. CellA1 = apple CellB1 = 2. I want to search Sheet2 and Sheet3 row by row and if Sheet2 has A and B cells which correspond(a row with "apple" in column A and "2" in column B, return the value Y. If not, return blank. Sheet2 and Sheet3 will never have duplicate values (and if they did, returning a Y would be fine).
as per the attached, need to insert those grey rows subject to the following condition :
if current row date <> next row date, .and. current row latitude / longitude <> next row latitude / longitude , insert grey row with date = current row date, else insert grey row next row date
note that the coordinates in the repeated grey rows, for the "Home" location, are the same through the sheet, should be entered by the user, at the beginning of the process, since there will be a spreasheet per user.

I have a master data sheet with four columns, A, B, C and D
Column A has the primary data and B,C,D has dependent data values;
So when I insert a new cell in Column A with cells Shift Down, I want mandatorily new cells to be inserted in the same row in col B, C and D as well so that data integrity is maintained;
I have a Vlookup which I want to modify so that it can become dynamic as the table array part of the vlookup will change.
So the basic vlookup is as follows: =VLOOKUP($R$3,ATTRIBUTION_FACTSET!$M$60:$P$73,2,0) but the data I am looking for wont always be in the range M60:P73.
So I tried to make it dynamic by doing the following: =VLOOKUP($R$3,INDIRECT("ATTRIBUTION_FACTSET"&"!M"&U1&":P"&V1),2,FALSE) The idea being that U1 and V1 would be numbers that can change so in this case U1 would equal 60 and V1 would equal 73
