Feb 13, 2010This is for a report and on "Summary Worksheet" I want to post "Current Payment" totals IF the invoices from "Tab 3" equal the "month" in G6. Say the report is for January - if there are invoices on Tab 3 -worksheet with a January date I want to post all invoice amounts on Summary worksheet under current payment.

Jun 18, 2014I am mailing a letter on the 15th day and the 45th day after a hire date. The effective date will be the 1st of the month following 60 days. A meeting will be held every 3rd Thursday of the month for all new hires. What I am trying to accomplish is calculating the 3rd Thursday of the month PRIOR to the 1st of every month.
i.e. hire date is 3/11/14 - 1st letter goes out 3/26/14 (15 days) - 2nd letter goes out 4/25/14 (45 days).
Their eligibility date is 6/1/14 (1st of the month following 60 days).
The meeting is held on 5/15/14 (3rd Thursday of the month prior to the first of the month (June))...

Sep 19, 2012I am attempting to create a formula that will select a value from a lookup table where that value is related to a specific date BUT that date, derived from an input date (any day within a selected month) must always be the first BUSINESS day of that month.
For example:
I have a workbook with two worksheets in it.
The first worksheet is the input page.
On that page I want to have a list of dates which display the FIRST BUSINESS DAY of a month - e.g.
Cell A1 - Date entered as 19/9/12 and displayed as 19-Sep-12
Cell B1 - NEEDS THE REQUIRED FORMUAL TO CALCULATE THE FIRST BUSINESS DAY OF THIS MONTH (SEP)
(in this example, this should be 3) and displayed as 03-Sep-12
Cell C1 - Will display the value from the lookup table on worksheet 2 (see below) related to the date in B1
The second worksheet is a lookup table containing a sequential list of dates from 28-Jan-69 through to present (19-Sep-12) in Column A.
The adjacent column B contains the related value to that date (the value being a foreign exchange rate) - e.g.
Daily
Date
USD
29 June 2012
1.0191
1 August 2012
1.0507

Sep 16, 2009Sometimes my due dates need to be on the 15th of the month, for which DLL and Donkey gave me: =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), MONTH(TODAY()) + (DAY(TODAY()) > 15), 15)
This works great except sometimes the 15th is on a Sunday which means I need the result to be the 13th, and sometimes it's on a Saturday which means I need the result to be the 14th. FYI: I am a n00b..

Basically I’m looking for the last day of the previous month. So if it was 05th April 2007 I want to return 28 March 2007. I just need to obtain the last day of the previous month in the following format ’28 March 2007’.

VBA For Insert Previous Month In Sheet Name On Open
Feb 28, 2007I'd like to make a template so that when it is opened the previous month name is inserted in the sheet name. The reason I want to use previous month is that normally this report is created in the month following the month being reported. So it is opened, months are updated, then the user saves as xls. Ideally I guess sheet would not have the month on the template.
The name of the sheets are shortened months like "Dec Results Bob" and there are 8 of these.
I can tell it might start:
Private Sub Workbook_Open() (or would .xlt be the same?)
but that's about it. I made a macro of renaming sheet but that didn't really tell me if I could insert the Month there.

D6 has a data validation display with a value of Nov 09, I need E6 to display Oct 09 automatically from the data in Column A. Jun 24, 2014I have an issue whereby I have thousands of lines of data. I need to bring back the "previous month" worth of data (along with some additional information) but not sure how to go about this.
The attached shows the example file. I need the following :
1. Take the data to populate the "Populate" tab
2. Using Column F (Invoice Date Created) to only bring back the "previous month data" - in this case it would be May 2014
3. The following formula is what I have currently for Column B of the "Populate" tab: =SUMPRODUCT(SUMIFS('Data'!$N:$N, 'Data'!$M:$M, "Invoice Payment Processed", 'Data'!$A:$A, A2))
4. The above formula brings back all the values - I only want the previous month.
5. I am then not sure how to calculate Column C - which is a count of the amount of invoices that make up the total

For example A1=01/01/2010

Oct 25, 2006I have a spreadsheet which I use to track when a work request is recieved, when we confirm the request and when we action the request. I have been trying to write some code to count the amount of requests, receipts and actions we have processed in the last month.
My first column shows who the request is from
The second shows date recieved
The third shows date we send receipt
The fourth shows the date actioned.

For example;
Column A, starting with cell A1 with the next date in A2, etc

Is there a way through a formula or macro that I can use in order to run through all the dates in this column to make sure that the next cell down is always the month after the cell above it? The dates go all the way through to 2018 in the above format.

Dec 23, 2008I m trying to write a formula for my financial model. If anyone can take a stab at a solution. I'm trying to write a formula that will equally distribute revenue either over the next 1 month, 2 month or 3 month period depending on size of the deal.
Details:
Sales will fit in 1 of 3 categories. Less than 25k; between 25k & 100k; greater than 100k.
- if under $25K, recognize in next month (month N+ 1)
- $25K-100K, recognize in two equal parts in months N + 1 and N + 2
- over $100K, recognize in three equal parts over 3 months
N + 1, N + 2, N + 3 ...
VBA For Looking In Prior Tab Cell?
Jun 17, 2014I have a macro that when you run it, it creates a new tab with the next month on it. I.e. I'm in January 2014 and I hit the button it creates a tab for February 2014....
In a different workbook, I want to have it copy this newly created tab name into cell A1 of what we'll call Hidden_Tab.
So I want to have Hidden_tab A1 say January 2014, then I press the button to run the macro and it then copies the new tab name from the tab I just created: February 2014 and pastes it in Hidden_tab A1 and so on...
Record A Cell's Prior Value
Nov 2, 2009Could it be possible to "sequentially offset" a vlaue, say, of A1 such that, for instance, when A1 changes from "5" to "6" (via formula, not direct input), A1=6 and, say, B1=5, and so on? You know, like keeping a value record of A1, one step back, in B1.
This would be UNBELIEVABLY valuble to me. Thus, would I be in eternal debt to he/she who would resolve this here.
Looking At 10 Cells Prior One Containing A Number
Nov 15, 2009range C7:AJ7 should look for a 1 in C5:AJ5 and start placing a 4 till 8 cells after the 1.
Range C6:AJ6 will be a little bit more complicated it should place a 2 in each cell, starting from 10 cells prior the 3th last number in range C5:AJ5.
Rename Workbook Prior To Saving
Apr 6, 2009I have a need to simply rename a workbook without saving. I have a master template named "IR QT" but, within the workbook, I run a macro that saves the file with content from a cell as the filename. After the 'Save' macro is executed, the sheet stays open, as planned, but obviously the file has been renamed. What I would like to happen at the end of the 'Save' macro is for the sheet to be renamed (not re-saved) to "IR QT". I just need the VBA code to put at the end of the 'Save' macro to do the rename back to "IR QT".

Apr 25, 2008I have a macro that selects various cells whilst it runs - nothing unusual there! What I'd like it to do is return to the activecell immediately prior to running the macro. So if cell 'B34' is active and then the Macro runs it currently returns to cell 'A12' (the last selection in the macro).
I would like it to return to cell, in this instance, 'B34'. The activecell could of course be any reference within the spreadsheet, so whatever is active prior to running macro is returned to when macro is complete.

Jul 23, 2008My Financial year runs from Oct to Sept. My current month is June 2008 and the YTD Expenses is in Cell P2032. I have set up a formula to calculate the prior YTD Expenses as sum(AU2032:AM2032) This is for the period Oct 2006 to June 2007. When I do July 2008, I would like to the formula to caculuate the prior YTD Exp as sum(AU2032:AN2032)
How can I get the formula to Change Automatically based on the Month & Year as per the example shown above?
