Leaving The Cell Blank But Allowing The Macro To Run

How can I have my macro run in its cell and still allow the cell to be blank? Say I have a number, 0.99, in the cell and I want to delete it and leave it blank. I can either push "Backspace" or the delete key and it still leaves zeros.
If I push the space bar it stops the macro (which I do not want to happen) and leaves the cell blank because I added a space.

I can't modify my formula to leave blank cells blank when dragging it down, Also, I've got two formulas that i need to combine. Please view the comments I've put in cells E4, F2,F3,H2 and I2 to understand clearly what am seeking. See the attached worksheet.

I have a spreadsheet table which shows different things but in particular has a column of data ranging from numbers 1 to 23. I carry forward these numbers to display in a different table, so am simply linking from the second table into the first to bring that data forward (literally using formula =B1, in top cell, =B2 in second cell and so on). That's fine.
However I would like to be able to show a blank for any occurences of numbers 4, 14 and 24.
Is there a formula that I could use to firstly carry forward the data, but to then leave blank if the value is either 4, 14 or 24?

How can i leave Cell D3 etc blank untill i have inserted the end date it will look tidier when i do my full spread sheet and also is there a calender on a toolbar i could put on my spread sheet for easy inputing of dates.

Here is the formula I am using however it interprets the blank cells as 0% and includes it in the average. To make it more difficult there will be some 0%'s.

I want to to order them so they leave blank rows if they don't match...like this:

I have an Excel workbook with around 100 worksheets. All of them have similar columns, but the values are stored as text. The length of columns and missingness is different in different worksheets. I will be grateful if any of you could suggest a VBA that could convert the numbers stored as text back to numbers. I have been looking for an answer for a while, but cant seem to find one that automatically looks at every worksheet and converts text into number.

I've got a macro function which calculates the area of a polygon freeform using the 'shoelace'-methode. I would like to excute this function after i leave the shape editing mode.
For example: I have a square, freeform shape. By right-mouseclick I can edit the shape nodes. If i drag one of the nodes of the square to another position and click outside of the shape, the new shape is updated. Right, on that moment i would like to trigger my macro to recalculate the area.
Is there an event in excel to aim for, like the Worksheet.change-event or something similar?

I have the following macro so that we can use the outline feature without having to unprotect a sheet.
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
With Worksheets("Schedule")
.Protect Password:="APQP", Userinterfaceonly:=True[code]....
However once the macro is run, filtering will not work without unprotecting the sheet first. If you choose not to run the macro, filtering will work without unprotecting the sheet however the outline feature will not. what I need to add and where to make both the outline and filter features to work without having to unptotect the sheet?

I'm having difficulty allowing my macro to run in a more global environment with varying data-set lengths.
For example:
Though the following "copy" scenario works for me when my data set is contained within cells B2:B35:
Range("A2:A35").Select
Selection.Copy
It does not allow me to work with a set of data that extends beyond this--say to B50 or B60. Is there any way to allow this command, and others, to be a bit more flexible with my data set lengths?

So I was given the task to translate some procedure instructions in an Excel file from English to Spanish. These are very simple instructions and in most cases repetitive throughout the document. There are a lot of instances where the instructions are the same except for a #. They are meant to be modified within the cell as the text that appears in the cell will be printed exactly as it appears.There are several instructions in the cell, it is basically a long continuous string in the cell. My idea is to create a macro that can search that range of cells for the instruction, replace it with the Spanish equivalent while leaving the original English instruction in the cell.

Attached is a sample to add and delete "X" from a cell. The problem is after a single click to add "X", to delete "X", the mouse pointer needs to leave the cell then come back to cell to delete. I would like to add and delete "X" by toggle the mouse without leaving the cell.

I have a cell that I do no want anyone to enter any information into unless a previous cell has "U" inside of it.
Okay so so I have a column of cells named "Fringe Benefit Type" you can choose different letters to corropand to different types. Now I have set the letter "U" to be the one I want and that works. Now the next cell is called "Hire Season". Now (stay with me here) IF "Fringe Benefit Type" is equal to "U", I don't want the user to be able to enter anything into "Hire Season".
I am using the visual basic thing, which already has some code, but I am not understanding it too well.

I have an event handler that runs a procedure when a user double clicks a cell. This procedure modifies the contents of this cell and other cells. I want the user to be able to select the cell so they can double click it, but I don't want them to be able to single click it and modify it by hand (accidentally or not). Is there a way to lock/unlock the contents of the cell without locking the cell itself?

I have 2 worksheets, one called "Consolidated" and one called "Converted".
I would like to have a spreadsheet where I press the update button and a macro runs that searches for the word "Converted" in column E on the Consolidated spreadsheet (the original). When it finds it, I would like the entire row to be cut and pasted onto the "Converted" worksheet.
I have managed to do this with my current code:

However when this macro runs, the row left behind on the original sheet is a blank row and I don't want this. I would like it to be continuous spreadsheet, not dotted with random blank rows!

I have a database of names and titles (acutally: #, last name, full name, title, meeting) and at this point I have a column using the following code.

everything works like I want, except when I use the auto filter, the "a" won't be cleared from cells that are hidden. I need to make sure only one "a" is populated in this column as that's what I'm using with the vlookup function to key the data for my Character Generator.
Maybe I'm not using the best code, I'm new to this and just cobbled together code from a few different places.
Some quick background to what I'm doing, but you may not need it to help. I'm trying to use Excel to populate some cells that will tell our Chyron Character Generator (for those that don't know what that is, it's the device that puts graphics on screen during news programs, etc...) what to put up for lower third titles (and more) for our meetings we cover.

I have created an Excel spreadsheet in 2007. When a friend opens the workbook in Excel 2013, It does not let him add data to the cells. ( just one column which is the "date" column) The worksheet is not locked or protected.
When I right-click on the column and goto format cells, protection, the box is ticked, but the note says this doesn't take effect unless the sheet is protected witch it isnt.

I need to remove only numbers from excel cell - I have tried using the "constant" function but did not work. I have thousands of cells with a consistent 4 digit number like this:
1000 the rest is text
How can I remove only numbers but leave all text in the cell and then if I can trim the cell so there are not any spaces at the beginning afte removing the numbers.

I am looking for a macro that will go to the next blank cell in the column starting at B3 and if none are found going to the next sheet(sheets are january-december). The twist is that I need it to change sheets when there is nothing in column A(which has dates and times in it) then go again to the next blank cell in the following sheet starting at B3.

I have a worksheet that contains data but column E has blank cells. i want to automatically encode on the last blank cell in column E up to the last used row.
I am using the ff. code to select the last blank cell in column E:

but it doesn't work.

I have a spreadsheet where I had a new column on a daily basis. I am trying to create a macro to automate some parts of this. I would like to select the next blank cell on row 1. So in this instance, cell M1, however the following day it would be N1. This is the part I am unsure of how to do. After this I will be doing a vlookup to add the new values, which I should be able to sort out no problem.
I have seen people using COUNT and OFFSET to select the last cell +1, however I am unsure how to link to two together.
