MAcro To Check A Cell Value Before Copying

I am trying to write a macro to check a cell value is "Y" before selecting a range and copying to a second sheet, if the cell value is not "Y" I just want an error message.
This is the code I have so far but I have an error, the macro selects the row but does not paste on the second sheet, it does clear the range of data.

Basically, what I'm dealing with is an inventory system. When a cell value reaches below a certain quantity, we have a cell light up with the word "YES" (under the "re-order" column). What I'd like to do is have a macro that checks to see if that cell is populated with "YES" and if it is, to run another macro (which I already have written) that sends out an email notifying us of the need to re-order.
How it would work: The person pulling out the inventory would fill out this form and click "Submit"

I would then have a "call" code tied to the "Submit" button that when clicked, would run the macro to check cell population and send out the email. The email code is already written and works flawlessly on it's own. I just cant seem to figure out how to write a macro that checks for cell value and then runs it (or not) based on that.

I am working on a check box based list for work. The requirement is for the check box to be linked to the cell that it is in and then for conditional formatting to be done so that if the box is checked it goes green and if it is blank it goes red. This is fine for individual cells, but when i try and copy the formatting and cells throughout the worksheet it links all the cells back to the original cell.

I need to able to copy certain parts of cells and paste it somewhere else. The data within the cell is presented like this City A/City B/City C. With an '/' seperating each. How can I copy just one part of that string using a macro(city a), and then keep track of it so that the next time I use a macro on that cell it copies the next part of the string(city b). I'll always copy the first City first so deleting it after it is a copied is an option but I dont even know how to do that.

My company uses 4 types of barcodes 8, 12, 13, & 14 number barcodes for our products my problem is that I can't figure out how to force the barcode to format properly no matter how somebody enters it if they don't use spaces or put them in the wrong spots, I can't use custom formats because there is 4 different layouts
8 digit should be "#### ####"
12 digit should be "###### ######"
13 digit should be "# ###### ######"
14 digit should be "# ## ##### ######"
these barcodes are in columns L, M, & N also right now 'm using a formula in another cell to verify the barcodes by calculating the check digit and comparing it to the check digit typed the formula i'm using is

I am trying to write a macro to do the following. I have data validation list in column G which will come back as either "Closed" "Pending" or "Completed". What I want to happen is when anyone changes a value in that column to "Closed" or "Completed" I want to cut the entire row (Columns A-G) and paste those rows on the "archive" tab which exists in the same worksheet. Then on the main sheet, I then need excel to shift the contents of the row beneath the row that was just cut up to fill in the blank row.

On Day1- Copy info from a different worksheet in the 3 cells for 12/23 (column B)
On Day2 - Copy info from the worksheet in the 3 cells for 1/2 (col C) without deleting the info in Column B from the previous day, etc....
I can't figure out how to get it to paste into a different column each day. It will be continuously moving one column to the right each day.

I am trying to write some code that will copy the worksheets from one workbook (wkbSource) to another (wkbTarget), but I need it to maker sure the worksheets being copied from wkbSource don't already exist in wkbTarget. If they do exist, it just skips and moves to the next worksheet. Here is the code I have already, I thought that by adding the On Error Resume Next to the code it would just skip it, but for some reason it is still copying the first duplicate workbook, then it skips.

I have a macro that copies all my sheets onto a new sheet called combine. It is pasting onto the combine sheet starting on cell A2 instead of cell A1. Following is my macro.

I have a requirement where i need to check whether a value is entered in cells within a collumn and if so, it would set a default value to a cell on the same row but with a different collumn. this needs to occur on the run.
there are columns that i need to check and change the status column cell in accordance.
column client_name
clumn date
column start_time
column end_time
column status
first the macro is to check whether there is a client_name, if a value exist (example, smoth, doe, allen) it would set a default value to the status column on the same row as deviation (options are served, queued, deviation).
then it would check if the date & time columns have value and is less than current date time, it would change the status cell to queued.
i know that there are several nested checks (if then if then if then) the problem is that vba is not one of the languages that i master hence im totally lost here.
i can add the finalizing features and rollout the spreadsheet.
and one more thing. i have multiple sheets with the same layout where these checks and changes need to be performed

I need to be able to copy a formula from a row that is 180 rows before the current cell.
I then need to edit the formula so that the rows all start at 6. then i need to change the column references.
The formula that I am editing looks like this after it has been copied from before:
=IF('Entry Form Portrait'!$d870="m",IF('Entry Form Portrait'!$n870="a",'Entry Form Portrait'!$a870,""),"")
So I need d870 to be changed to d6, the n870 to be changed to o6 (current column +1), the a870 to be changed to a6.
Then this resultant formula to be copied to the next column and a6 changed to b6, then copied to next column again and b6 changed to f6.
Then all 3 columns to be copied (or autofilled) down 105 rows.
I tried to do it by recording the macro, however it only works for the first time that i use it, and then just keeps repeating in the same place. I need it to use the cell i have selected as the starting point.

I have a sheet which contains a list of products. I have created a check box next to each name with the linked cell in the adjecent column. I have formatted the cell so you can see the TRUE or FLASE.
I need to be able to select different products and then when I run a macro, it places all of the selected products onto the second sheet. I just need it so it lists the products in column A with no blank rows.
Can this be done using Index/Match? Would a macro which achieves all this be possible?

I have a cell built into my spreadsheet that serves as an error check (i.e. returns the word 'ERROR' if certain criteria are fulfilled on the spreadsheet). I'm trying to write something into a Macro that will check this cell and not allow it to run if it states ERROR, returning a dialog box to notify this, is this possible?

The loop is putting the correct formula into the cell - but THEN... - I wish to (within the loop and before it moves on) check if the value is equal to OR greater than 1 - if it is, make it a value of 1 (this '1' is then used at the bottom of the column of data to give a total). I need to do this before it moves onto the next cell. What am I doing wrong? Is it because once it puts formula in the cell, it then moves down - do I need to select the cell again first? I am looking to run two separate macros. I have a project plan and I am looking to be able to select a button whereby on-click, a new row is created within a selected cell. However if the cell clicked is outside of a pre-determined range, then the task is automatically entered at the bottom of the plan. I would like for the copied row to go ABOVE the selected cell and have all of the same formatting as the row below (not the top - as is default in Excel).
The second is going to be very similar but will copy a task category (like a header item) and the first task (row) found below. It will also be copied from below and be inserted above the selected cell.Both macros will clear certain cells, whilst maintaining the contents of others, with formula contained. I.E. Columns C,D,E,H,I,J will be cleared.

I am trying to allow the Command Button when clicked to go through multiple conditions before making a decision. So, when someone clicks on Command Button 3 the code should look to see if CheckBox1 is true, then it should check today's date, and if it is between a range of days, or even months, then it would add the number in TextBox1 with the amount already in cell H18. This event will happen every time someone clicks on the Command Button.
The end result is to have several sheets (4 total) for each quarter in the fiscal year, and if the dates are within those parameters, the clicking of the command button will update the correct sheet.

I have data in Row 53 that spans 7 columns, but stays in the same row. I want to design a loop to select every 7th cell in that row and check if it is empty. If not, add onto a "counter" then display the final number of occupied cells (the value of the counter) at the end. This is what I have so far, but I get all sorts of errors.

My issue is that i have a excel spreasheet that contains macros. These macros work on my computer and our VPs computer. We have 4 other computers that were bought recently that have all the same operation systems as mine and the VPs, and save version of excel. I can not figure out why it wont work. Following is the code. I think what i have it narrowed down to is the rRange.copy. I dont think its copying on the 4 computers that it dont work on.

we have a network of small routers and wifi aps. The Ip range has got a bit out of control so I would like to be able to audit it every once and a while.
how I could go through a set of IPs on a spreadsheet, open a telnet session or whatever, try pinging each ip individually, paste a response or no response in the adjacent column then move to the next ip in the first column (some sort of loop).
Time is not too much of an issue as I could run this overnight if need be.
As a response, the macro could just copy the last line of the ping eg
Minimum = 7ms, Maximum = 9ms, Average = 7ms
if it responds
or
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)
if it does not respond

I have a button that runs a macro every 5 seconds.
I have another button to stop the loop.
Problem happens if a user hits the stop button when the sequence is not running - they get an error.
Here's my code for button 1 (start) and 2 (stop):

I have completed a formulation and included in a macro but I dont know about coding to check for specific cell string values before macro will take off. I want macro to check that if specific cell text are not matched, use MsgBox to display the wrong versus correct cell string text, then vbOK to exit macro. Also, if Range(B2:G2,J2) are completely blank, use MsgBox to display "missing data", then vbOK to exit macro.
cell B =REQ
cell C =SS
cell D =Current Stock
cell E =PO
cell F =Sales Order
cell G =In-coming
cell L =unit cost
If these cell texts (U or L case will do) are in their specific cells, macro will proceed. If either one or some of these cell texts are not matched, display MsgBox of the wrong and correct cell texts. Then button OK to stop macro run. If Range(B2:G2,J2) are completely blank, use MsgBox to display "missing data", then vbOK to exit macro.

I have designed a functioning userform which transfers the data (limited or complete) into the sheet. Along with the data and at the end of each row it automatically generates 4 checkboxes and links them to 4 offset cells.
This is where I hit a dead end. I am not sure which avenue is suitable or indeed possible. I want to click any checkboxes in the first COLUMN and as a result have it change the complete ROW colorindex of the background. I did achieve this with conditional formatting but it seemed to make the empty sheet bulking when saving and I cannot alter the font size which is another goal on the 3rd column of checkboxes. Am I waffling yet?
The 3rd column checkboxes I want to have the ROW font size drop to 3pt. The 2nd and 4th currently serve no purpose i.e. trigger nothing as a result.
I don’t think I can use the checkbox_click event as the boxes are generated for me so I don’t know which number they will be. The worksheet_change event and calculate event don’t seem to register when the linked cell goes to TRUE or back to FALSE. I tried using FORMS and CONTROLS checkboxes but neither has brought me success.
I was hoping the linkedcell would trigger an event and in turn select and manipulate the entire row in which the linked cell is located….
Due to my limited knowledge the code I have written/adapted to suit my needs may appear a little unorthodox? I hope that in itself is not a problem.
I have not managed to get the Controls Checkboxes to initalise blank. Currently they appear greyed out with a tick but fully usable? Of minor importance.
I can't attach the file because the blank sheet is 4.5MB?? so here is the main body of code from the userform. If you need anything else I will supply as required, however I can't get anyfiles under the attachment maximum of 48.8kb. My jpeg image was 108kb....
