Match 2 Criteria And Search Column And Return Value Based On Value

I have a spreadsheet that contains data for a fiscal year broken out by month and quarter. I want the formula to return the data from that month and use whatever the latest quarter is. For example in the data below:
If it has only pulled data only thru Q1 it would return Q1 for Jan-Mar, however once I have Q2 data I would want the formula to return Q2 for the months of Jan-Mar.

Attached is a sample workbook, but essentially what I'm looking to do is automate the process of searching through a data set where the value of interest (in this case, names) often has multiple entries, with different values attached to each instance.
I would like to be able to get a list of all values in a given column that match a specific name in another column.
Currently I'm using a basic INDEX/MATCH search just to see whether the data exists at all, but that's only half of what I have to do here, and I'm totally stumped on how to get a comprehensive list of all matches.
For reference, if you look at the sample, what I need is a list of all values in the "CPT" column that match the name searched for in the first column.
The actual data set size is at most 3-400 entries, if that makes a difference in how to approach this.

I am trying to use a nested INDEX and MATCH array formula to return the value in column C when matching column A and column B, but with a few more criteria.
The range containing all the data
A
B
C
1
Cat 1
January 1, 2014
John
[Code] ..........
I am looking for the array formula to return the name of the person in column C who is in Cat 1 after the date in column B.
For example;
C7 should return "John" because B7 requests "January 15, 2014", which is after the value in B1
C8 should return "John" because B8 requests "February 15, 2014", which is after the value in B1
C9 should return "Andrew" because B9 requests "August 15, 2014", which is after the value in B4
The best try I had for the formula in C7 was
{(INDEX($A$1:$C$4,MATCH(1,($B$1:$B$4>=B7)*(A$1:$A$4=A7),0),3))}
This brings back "John" as desired in C7, but when copying down the table into C8 and C9 both C8 and C9 return Andrew.
I guess this is due to my ">=" condition in the Match formula and it is returning "Andrew" because "Andrew" is also after the date requested, but I cannot for the life of me work out how to get it to work.

I'm working on a project in which I have 50 states + DC listed by 2-letter abbreviation, and want to return a value in another column that will be a non-unique number (some will duplicate in the second column.)
Also need to do this same operation with first column (state) and third column, which also is comprised of non-unique numbers.
Hlookup, lookup & pivot tables seem to not be a fit for this.

The logic of the formula like this....
TAB X, Column A contains a data set, each row is a unique value. In column B of TAB X, I want to input a formula that performs the following logic: Search TAB Z, Column C, for an exact match of data contained in TAB X, Column A....and if found, look in TAB Z, Column D...if a blank cell is contained there, then in TAB X, Column A, say "Unsettled" ; however, if there does exist any character (not-blank) in TAB Z Column D, then in TAB X, COlumn A, say "Settled".....but, if the data ID listed in TAB X, column A is not found whatsoever in TAB Z, Column C, then say "NOT FOUND". So for example, within TAB X, Column A there is a unique ID in one of the rows "ABC123", then searches "ABC123" in TAB Z, Column C. If found, it looks in TAB Z, Column D and that cell is blank, so TAB X, Column B, same row that contains ABC123, the result is "Unsettled".

Sheet1:
ColumnB - number stored as text (Work ID)
Remaining Columns: - mixed data, some columsn numbers, some text
Sheet 2
ColumnA - number stored as text (Work ID)
ColumnB:ColumnAW - mixed data, some columsn numbers, some text
CollumnAX - Dollar Values
What I want is in Column F (Sheet1) a formula to:
if workID in Sheet1!ColumnB is present in Sheet2!ColumnA AND Sheet2!ColumnAX>1 then return True

I have been creating a schedule on excel, the schedule includes a top row which has the following headings Date, Agent_ID, title, agent_name, 07:00, 07:15, 07:30, etc up until 21:45
The columns that are named with times are times that indicate a break time.
The column named title is the actual shift time, eg 08:00 - 17:00.
I need a formula that would look at my source data, and populate a sheet in the following layout
agent_id, agent_name, title, start_time, end_time
The title be one of the following:
Shift 08:00 - 17:00
Tea Break 10:00 - 10:15
Lunch Break 12:00 - 12:30
Tea Break 14:15 - 14:30
If I need to have the shift portion and the break portion appear on separate tabs that would also be ok, but ultimately I need to keep my original source as is, but the change it to be able to upload it into a MySQL database.

I have 2 rows of data and want excel to find the number of times that a number appears in the first row and then return the value of a cell in the same column but in the second row of data. I need it to repeat this until all matches in row one, and their corresponding number in row 2 have been found and then add all the results from row 2 together to give a single numerical answer. I have tried the ' lookup' function but this only returns the first number that matches the criteria and does not continue to find the remaining matches.

Trying to grasp the concept of using these 3 functions to search for and return values from a data sheet.
The attached spread sheet has performance data for a group of employees.
What I need to do is find a particular employee then return a value for one of the category's.
For instance, I need to find "10TE03 ANGIE HOLLIS" Parts Usage on color or cell C10 in the attached sample.
Sometimes new category's are added to column A adding to the number of rows so a simple offset is not reliable.
Once I get that working, I then need to use a named range to total and average different data points for groups of employees by teams.
Maybe Offset-Index-Match is not even the way to go here?

I am new to VBA and am having difficulties in getting a find function to successfully locate search criteria within cell. When the search criteria matches exactly that of the cell contents then the code works; however should the search criteria only form part of the total cell contents (such as a seach for "the" in a cell containing "the cat sat on the mat") the code doesn't recognise it.
Essentially, I need the code to search a range for the required string and if found within a cell activate that cell and populate a combobox with the full cell contents of the activecell.offset(0,-2).
The relevant section of code attached below:
Dim role_count as range
Dim role as string
If Application.WorksheetFunction.CountIf(Range("Role_Count"), Role) 0 Then
Range("role_count").Select
Selection.Find(What:=Role, After:=ActiveCell, LookIn:=xlFormulas, LookAt:= _
xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, MatchCase:=False _
, SearchFormat:=False).Activate
Me.Controls(ComboBoxName) = ActiveCell.Offset(0, -2).Value

Commit - Account02 (Row 2)
Won - Account03 (Row 3)

Won ONLY Accounts in B1. (Formula to be copied down to retrieve Rows 3,4,5,9)
Upside ONLY Accounts in C1. (Formula to be copied down to retrieve Rows 6,8)

I would like a Formula to match 3 criteria in the following order:
1. Numeric Reference (NOT Unique)
2. Numeric Values ( NOT Unique) - lowest value
3. Numeric Label (Unique)
The Numeric Reference that I'm looking for will vary (Input Cell).
Search /Match ALL specified (duplicate) References.
From the specified References Return the Numeric Label that has the "LOWEST"
Numeric Value .
Data Layout is 3 Rows:
1st Row E4:AC4 Numeric Values (NOT Unique)
2nd Row E5:AC5 Numeric Labels (Unique)
3rd Row E6:AC6 Numeric References (NOT Unique)
Sample Data:
E4:AC4 Numeric Values (NOT Unique) 145 127 120 160 130 170 160 160
E5:AC5 Numeric Labels (Unique) 20 21 22 23 24 25 26
27
E6:AC6 Numeric Reference 8 0 8 2
0 10 8 30
Scenario:
Looking for Numeric Reference 8, the relevant Numeric Labels are 20, 22 and
26. Their respective Numeric Values are 145, 120 and 160. The Numeric Label
with the lowest value of 120 is 22.
Expected Result:
Numeric Label 22

I have about 255,000 rows of data on the worksheet "Filtered". Column B contains my Item Number and Column D contains the supply source. I want to find the row where ItemNumber and SupplySource match my variables and then return the value from Column C.
I can do a match for one criteria, but where I'm having problems is getting it so the two matches are on the same row.

I'm trying to set up my formula so that if there is no criteria match, rather than returning 0 it leaves the cell blank.
(I recommend skipping the below text and just opening the attached spreadsheet, instructions/what I'm looking for and trying to achieve and well laid out requirements and examples are in the spreadsheet and much more thoroughly explained then I can do below)
I'm setting up a table that grabs data from columns in a raw data spreadsheet.
For the purpose of the table I'm making, the formula needs to match up both the House, and the year/month from the raw data sheet, then if the two match and are side by side, return the value to the right either in the Plan Field or the actuals field depending on which field in the table the formula is in. If there is no entry or matching criteria for both the house and Month then it should leave the cell blank, not show a 0
So I have a SUMIFS formula that I'm trying to set up so that if there is no criteria match it leaves the cell blank.
So =SUMIFS(sum range, criteria& range, criteria&range), if no matching criteria can be found, leave cell blank, else if matching criteria found then return value from the sumrange.
This is the exact formula I am using:
=SUMIFS(INDEX('Raw Data'!$1:$1048576, 0, MATCH(Table!$B9, 'Raw Data'!$1:$1, 0)), INDEX('Raw Data'!$1:$1048576, 0, MATCH(Table!$A$8, 'Raw Data'!$1:$1, 0)), Table!$A$9, INDEX('Raw Data'!$1:$1048576, 0, MATCH(Table!$B$8, 'Raw Data'!$1:$1, 0)), TEXT(Table!C$8, "yyyymm"))
Yeah kind of hard to follow, so attached is a very detailed and well laid out spreadsheet showing the example of what the formula is, how it's working/what it's returning and an example of what i want it to return/look like, so please check out the spreadsheet, it explains it a million times better.
Essentially though i want the formula set up so that if there is no criteria match, rather than returning 0 it leaves the cell blank.

I would like to perform a search on only the worksheets listed in a worksheet titled table of contents. I would like to use multiple criteria for this search and send only the unique results to a worksheet titled results. Each worksheet listed in the table of contents has a cell address for each heading that I would like to extract data from the same column. The attached workbook example shows the data that I would like to collect when I search for cells that begin with "AB" and cells that begin with "CD". I collected this data by copy and pasting all the data from each worksheet into the results page and then applying filters and advanced filter to remove duplicates. This method does not work well for the original workbook as the data is quite extensive.

I have an array 20 Rows x 42 Columns, which contains a competition draw.
I need to search this array for a unique value and return whatever the time is in the first column on the same row as the value appears, and enter it into column C in the Womens Times sheet.
I also want to return into column D the court number from row 3.
The reason i want this automated is as teams enter / withdraw we may need to drag the games from court to court to fill gaps, so i want the Womens Times sheet to update accordingly.
I have been messing around with index and match, but cannot quite get it to return what i need.
I have attached an example ... on the sheet "Womens Times" in column A there is a list of game numbers ( #1W etc etc) indicating womens game #1 and so on. The main sheet i am using also has a seperate tab for the mens games, hence the designator of W or M on the end of the game number.

I am trying to get a formula that will search one column range “B” and pull data from another, “D”. Dates are down column “B” and some of those dates are repeated several times. In column “D” there is only one piece of data (a number) entered for each day. Eg, if 08/06/2009 has been entered 3 times in column “A”, there will only be data entered in 1 of the cells of column “D” and blank cells in the other 2.
Column B -- Column D
07/06/09 -- 54000
08/06/09
08/06/09 -- 62000
08/06/09
09/06/09 -- 61000
I couldn’t get the LOOKUP function to work properly, as there are duplicate dates in column “B” and I often got a result of 0 returned.
As I’ve only got 1 piece of data added in column “D” per day and any duplicate days would just have blank cells in “D”, I can actually get a SUMIF function to work, SUMIF(B3:B60,DATE(2009,6,8),D3:D60). Although it does work, it doesn’t feel right using it and I would prefer a formula that would return just the one cell, instead of the sum of a range of cells.
