Offset Cell From Found Maximum In Range

I recently asked how to locate a max value within a variable range using a macro and got the following responses: Get Maximum Value From Graph / Chart, all of which worked great.

Now I would like for a different cell to return the time value located one column to the left of the max value found above. I've tried to adapt other offset formulas that I've found to my purposes and haven't been able to make it work. how to do that using the max value as it is found in any of the above three ways

I am looking for an Excel Formula that will look up Australia & Mobile and then return the highest value of the range of cells it finds that meets that criteria and enters that value in the Rate column next to mobile (F3).

Then I just want a variant of the same formula that will look up Australia but exclude Mobile and then return the highest value of the range of cells it finds that meets that criteria and enters that value in the Rate column next to Not mobile (F4).

Populate UserForm From Offset From Found Value

What I am trying to achieve is to get the UserForm to populate from information in the Database. In column AD I have a formula which produces a number when an item becomes due. I would then like label1 (lblReg1) to populate data from the same row in column A and label2 (lblDate1) from column S.

I then have a CheckBox (chk1) next to each pair of labels for the user to confirm the task has been actioned and when the CommandButton is clicked I would like the result placed in column AE in the corresponding row.

I have tried utilising code from another userform I have but I cant get it to work and I believe this is to do with the 'ActiveCell' reference as there is no Activecell (you can probably guess I am new to this). Example:

(All the Labels are blank and will be filled hopefully by code, all the CheckBoxes are set to Visable = False at Initialize stage, I will be using Me.Height = ?? to expand the form to visible check boxes)

I have attached a small selection of my workbook where I have set up the userform and named the labels.

Can anyone amend the code to achieve the desired result or alternatively put me straight on the correct way to do this.

Find Text & Offset By Found Value Row And Column

I'm writing some code where I need to know the column in which a specifc text string occurs. Because of the nature of the sheet, the string will only appear in one column, but that could be in almost any column on the worksheet.

For example say the text string is "Year 1", I need to find the column with this string, and then offset down to a predetermined row, or offset over to the appropriate column (something like below).

I can't figure out a formula that will match either 1,2,or0 in column K and offset to corrosponding value in column B. Then average of all values that came up.

Determine If Cell Maximum In Range

I have a spreadsheet where I need to check if one cell value is greater than 6 other cell values in the row, then have it enter 1 in another cell if so.

For example: C1=5 C2=2 C3=3 C4=2 C5=7 C6=0 C7=4

The largest value is in cell C5, so I would like C6 to show that it is by entering a 1 in there.

Offset For Specific Cell Range(s)

I am designing a form that tracks call times. I have a control "cmdStart" that when clicked will enter the "Start" time in cell A4 and each time clicked will skip a column and enter the next time in cell C4. The same for a control "cmdEnd" that will enter the "End" time in cell B4 when clicked. Then the next end time clicked will go in cell D4. However, when the Start time enters the time in AE4 I need the next start time to start in A6 and do the same in this row until AE6 and then drop down again. The same with the "End" time when it reaches AF6. I think I could write the If and Else for each individual cell, but there must be a more efficient way to do this.

If i have a range say E12:O12 and want to find the last cell before blank, lets say it finds m12 as the cell with the value before blank. then with m12 it needs to determine weather row 11 in the same column has Text either "S" or "F" if "S" then m12 = t if "F" then m12 offset(1,-1) = t. And just to make things more difficult i need the range E12:O12 to step 2 as well until it gets to E208:O208 .Noting that row 11 never changes and will always have either an "S" Or an "F"

I have 2 columns of data (col A is time, col B is a value), in a range A4:B1000 (can be less, but the biggest the range will get is to B1000). Example:

Im looking for a way in VBA to look for a time entered in cell C1 (example 10:38:00), find that in column A, then return the average of values in column B that are offset 271 - 300 rows. This is entered in D1. So in my example, 10:38:00 is in cell A9, return the average of B280:B310.

Check Each Cell In Range For Value & Put Text In Offset Cell

I'm trying to look at a value in one column (Column A) and if it matches a set of criteria, I'm trying to change the value of another cell 6 columns to the right.(Column G) I've been trying for a couple of days now to get this working, but to no avail. I've tried to modify the code below that I've found on this site but can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Return Third Value If Cell Is Found Within Another Cell Range

So I'm trying to merge some of the information found within two separate worksheets. I'm working with a list of ID#s that may or may not be found on both worksheets, and in a column on Worksheet1 I want to put some of the information found for the corresponding ID# on Worksheet2.

Now I've figured out how to check if an ID# on Worksheet1 exists within a column in Worksheet2 using the formula:

IF(COUNTIF('WORKSHEET2'!$A:$A,A2)0,"MATCH","NO MATCH")

(Excuse the syntax errors if they exist, I'm doing this off the top of my head for expediency)

However, instead of returning the word "Match" if it does indeed exist on Worksheet2, I would like to return the value found in Column E, on the row of the matched ID#, in Worksheet2.

What can I add to the macro I already have in place (below) to accomplish what I'm looking for (2 parts)? ...

1) I need to copy everything (formulas) that is in C7:F7 and paste it down to all "active" rows - I'm defining an active row by any row where column A is not blank.

2) I need to copy everything (formulas) that is in Q7:AF7 and paste it down to all "active" rows - I'm defining an active row by any row where column P is not blank. (You'll notice by the screenshot that there will be blank cells in column P mixed in with non-blank cells.)

I'm trying to use an offset from a Named Range as my source cell in a vlookup but get a -1004 Object not defined error. When Debugged the Range.Formula appears to be blank when queried. Using Record a Macro the Reference to a named range worked fine but I could not test for an offset or the use of the range reference. What can I do to use to make this work

Using OFFSET Function To Return The Value From Another Cell With Row And Column Offset

I am having some difficulties using a combination of IF and the OFFSET function to display a range of cell values from another column based on a simple condition. The values I need to display at the destination cells should be offset by 8 columns to the right and "X" rows down from the reference column. The value "X" is to be determined via the IF function to check for the row index number.

For example, if Index value "X" = 8, then display the value of B2 in cell I9. IF X = "9", display B2 in cell I10 etc.

I have attached a sample worksheet that provides some examples.

Excel 2010 :: Dynamic Range - Cell References Changing In OFFSET Function

I'm working in Excel 2010. I'm trying to create a dynamic range, using the OFFSET function. I've got it working beautifully but as soon as I save it and close the Name Manager the range stops working. When I go back into Name Manager I find all the cell references have changed (from C1:C600 to C1048572:C595 - or some other strange range).

P.S. What it's doing isn't so important as when the cell references are right it works. But just for full info: It's an OFFSET function, starting at A1. It will look at a list of companies and use a Match function to find out how many rows to offset (based on where the first instance of a particular company. And it uses the COUNTIF to make the range the same number of rows as there are entries for that company.

Here is my broken function:

Macro To Find A Cell Containing Text /select Range Offset / Cut And Paste To Lower Rows?

I am trying to find a macro that can search a sheet for any cell that contains the text "Not on AOI" selects a range that contains that cell, 81 rows below, and 2000 columns to the right, then cuts the selection and pastes it 162 rows below the original cell where the text was found. What's hard is that the number of columns between the "Not on AOI" cells is variable.

I'm very new to excel macros and the parts I think I've put together are:

Detect Numbers In A Cell Range And Then Change Cells Based On What Numbers Are Found?

I'm going to be using a spreadsheet to keep track of where different people are at. So if Person 1 is in Room 3, I will stick a 3 in the box next to their name and then can look at the spreadsheet whenever I need and see what room they are in. When I'm deciding what room to put a person in, though, I need to be able to quickly glance at a list of Room #'s and see what one's are still available. So I have a bank of Room #'s in the spreadsheet....1,2,3, etc.

What I'd like, is some way to set this up so that when I put, for example, "3" in the cell next to "Person 1" the spreadsheet automatically removes "3" from the bank of available Room #'s and when I delete the "3" because the person has left, it adds "3" back to the bank of available Rooms.

the answer that is returned is 15 and it should be 28. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I am trying to sum 44,582 cells in a column, the values in all of them are either 0 or 1, but I always get a value of 0.

It works when I bring this right down to 1000 or 1500 cells but it can't seem to sum the entire range.

How to lookup for greater than a given particular value in a list of data? Suppose the value to find is in cell C17 & the column to be looked for is F, in the attached sheet. Now the data range is from F8:L27. If the value in C17 is not present in Column L, then the value greater than the specifed value should be searched in Column L. I have tried using VLOOKUP, but cannot find for a range of values.

Select From A Range If Maximum Exceeded

I hope the title makes sense. I have a spreadsheet that I'm trying to use to calculate volumes of liquid. For each liquid there is a minimum and maximum amount that can be included in a vial, and a checkbox to indicate if it should be included or not. What I'm having trouble with is some logic (other than a million if= statements) to determine the amount of each needed.

If only a few are selected, using the max value for each is fine as it is below the volume of the vial, so I want to use the max. But if enough are selected, the max for each would exceed the volume of the vial, and I want to pick a percentage of each component's range until we get a volume that will fit in the vial (ie, it figures out that 84% of the max for each will fit, but knows never to drop below the min).

I am now working on an excel spreadsheet which will automatically update every day so that one row will be added on the top of the sheet everyday.i.e.

A1 Date Price
A2 (New row added,date) (New row added,price)
A3 16/1/2013 5.5
A4 15/1/2013 5.6

... ...

Assuming that I am looking for maximum value of the column "Price", since max() cannot be applied to variable range, is there other method I could useto look for the most updated maximum value of column "price"?

selecting a range under a condition. I'd like to write a macro to find the maximum value for a certain ID. The number of ID rows (left column) is unknown so can't say range("A1:A5"). Then have the ID and max number shifted to another column. Maybe use 'rows.count' ?
