I have one Popup Menus in Userform, But i want to to Open Popup menu in Specific Position in userform, In Fixed Position,i want to specific a position which opens Popup Menus in Userform.
I would like to create a simple right mouse button popup menu for the text box on a userform. I just want Copy and Paste and the functionality that goes with them if possible.
I used the commandBar to create a right-click menu on a userForm but unfortunately I get an error 400 every time I click on the option "Edit" and I don't understand what I did wrong.
Sub CreateCmdBar() Dim st As CommandBar 'delete the pop-up if it exists On Error Resume Next Application.CommandBars("flexgrid_rc").Delete 'Disables enabled error handler in the current procedure and resets it to Nothing. On Error GoTo 0 On Error Goto 0 Set st = CommandBars.Add( Name:="flexgrid_rc", Position:=msoBarPopup, Temporary:=False) 'add two menu items to the new commandbar With st..................
Is it possible to create a menu that could be called by a double click which would allow you to click on a value from that menu and insert it into the double clicked cell. I know I could use a data validation list, but that is tacky and you have to scroll down the list to find the data you would like. I'd like to have a menu pop up that stores different values in 6 columns and 25 rows. Any way without having to jump into an access database?
I've run into this really strange problem with my right click menu (popup command bar) The UF that handles the cb is loaded at workook open event and it's modal* When first right click, the commandbar is invisible, but it's there. Only shadow seems, and when click on arrow, starts showing menu. I could say that something like repaint needed. If i click on anything, next time it popups normally !!
The problem does not occur if: 1) i load the uf manually 2)* display the UF modeless
I have a workbook containing multiple sheets of data. I have a macro to analyze this data but want to add a popup menu with a dropdown list of all sheets in the workbook. The idea is to have the macro prompt me to select which sheet to continue running on. I can't remember how to create an input box with a dropdown menu.
What am I missing here? I followed http://www.fontstuff.com/vba/vbatut07.htm and I have this code but nothing happens when I click on 'M6'.
Private Sub Calendar1_Click() ActiveCell.Value = Calendar1.Value Unload Me End Sub
Private Sub cmdClose_Click() Unload Me End Sub
Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() If IsDate(ActiveCell.Value) Then Calendar1.Value = DateValue(ActiveCell.Value) Else Calendar1.Value = Date...............
I would like to have a popup appear on the opening of my spreadsheet that warns me of things that are past due or due today. I would like it to be in list form...
For example my source is: Customer 1 Customer 2 Topic Expected Complete Expected Complete
One 05/18/2007 05/10/2007 Two 05/12/2007 05/15/2007 05/18/2007 05/18/2007 Three 05/12/2007 05/17/2007 05/16/2007 Four 05/21/2007 05/17/2007
What I would like to see is a popup that analyzes this data with the result of:
If run today...5/18...................................
I like to know if this can be done. The entry of data for cell A3 is from a pre-determined list. I like to create a Userform to allow the user to select from this form. the idea is to have this form popup whenever cell A3 is selected.
I am building a macro that deals with a lot of data and takes several minutes to run. I want to display a message to the user stating "Calculating..." while the calculating is taking place. I got the idea to use a userForm with a label on it. The problem is that excel waits for input from the userform before continuing the calculations.
How do I display the userform, continue doing the calculations, and then hide the userform when the calculations are complete? (without any input from the user)
I am trying to get a user form to popup when text is manually entered into a certain cell. Right now the cell has a drop down in it that the user can select from a list of people. What I would like is that if the person is not in the dropdown list they can enter their name in the cell or select not in list and a user form will popup and ask them to enter their name and weight which will then be put into a different cell. This may be a complicated way to do this but the workbook is very complicated as is already and I cant figure out anything else to work.
I am new in Excel VBA and working on developing a form for Quarterly Reporting. My userform (Quarterly Report) contains controls such as combobox (one of them). I am trying to have another Userform (Risk and Mitigation) to pop-up when a specific item is selected.
Example: With cboRiskScale .AddItem "High" .AddItem "Moderate" .AddItem "Low" End with cboRiskScale.Value = ""
I am looking for the code where I will be able to have the "Risk and Mitigation" userform pop-up for user input when the "High" is selected.
I am trying to position a userform to my own coordinates, but I don't see how to do this in any of the form properties. I do realize that there is a startUpPosition property but none of these positions work for me.
Part of my code adds a Worksheet to the selected Workbook and then re-orders them alphabetically, but one of the Worksheets (Called home) should always remain at position 1. Is there a way to dictate exactly which postion it should be in so that I can place it there after the sort is complete?
I have a user form where two command buttons are set with the following code:
Code: Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() Frame1.Visible = True Frame2.Visible = False
[Code]....
Now, when cmdbtn1 is clicked, frame1 is visible and vice-versa.
However, the position of both the frames on the user form are not on the same position on the user form. Indeed, it takes the position of the design view.
I want a code which will place the frame1 and frame2 at the same place and position on user form, irrespective of its position in the design view.
I'm having some difficulties in defining my formula. I'm pretty sure that this should be possible. I have a table containing values and dates. For each change in dates, I should summarize every value for that date. I cannot use the autosummarize function, because I do not want the sum to be beneath the values, rather in a column to the right of the values.
I have created a formula which checks for a change in date: =IF(C15=C16;0;1) where the C column contains the dates. Basically I say that the Index column should contain a 0 if the date is the same as previously registered, 1 if it is a new date.
The index column is used in some conditional formatting rules, so I would like to keep it anyway.
I have a very large file of data, over 500,000 rows, opening in one sheet in Excel is not an option with my current version. In each row I need to change the characters in positions 41-44 from whatever they current are, to '9999'. I'm sure there has to be a way I can do this using vba, does anyone have a sample snippet of code, or another post they can point me too?
I have a macro that calls 3 other procedures during its run. I have the positon set in the UpdateIndicator sub
With ProgressIndicator .Top = Application.Top + 300 .Left = Application.Left + 400 end with
and the Userform StartUpPosition property set to 0 - Manual (though I did experiment with the other settings as well.
The issue is that when the series of subs are running, the Indicator jumps and shifts (by 10 or so pixels down and right) and sometimes blinks off completely as each new sub is being called and subsequently returns to the initial macro.
It is accurate and does what it's supposed to do, I just find it annoying and that it probably looks a bit unprofessional (and unstable) to the eyes of some coworkers who use the macro as well.
I am working on building a custom menu and I am looking for the code that would open a specific workbook execute a macro when I select the tab, can this be done????
i'm trying to build a GUI-only application using Excel Userforms, with File and Help menus on the form. i'm coming from Java where i know getting a menu on a GUI is possible, but i haven't seen any resources for it in VBA Excel Userforms. is it possible to place menu items in a userform?
I would like to use the attached "menu maker" file I found on Ron De Bruin's site using a Sheet to build the menu, yet be able to place it before the Help menu as suggested by this site [url] by finding the position of Help.
I have amended the code yet receive a "Compile error: Variable not defined" error.
I currently have a VB macro written where under certain conditions user forms are shown for the user to select options, display messages, etc. When any of these forms are on the screen, and someone drags them, the menu image is 'dragged' across the screen. Is there a way from preventing this from happening?
I have this model I created where I have two tabs. One tab is an input tab using validation and drop down menus and the other is a display tab. I simply want to hide certain QTRs based on the value of one of the drop down menu results. I tried writing the VBA code below but am a novice when it comes to code. Can somebody please help me fix the below code so that it works properly.
Public Sub hide() If Worksheets("input").Range("b14") = "Q1" Then Worksheets("Group P&L").Columns(c, d, e, h, i, j, m, n, o, r, s, t, w, x, y).Hidden = True ElseIf Worksheets("input").Range("b14") = "Q2" Then Worksheets("Group P&L").Columns(c, d, h, i, m, n, r, s, w, x).Hidden = True ElseIf Worksheets("input").Range("b14") = "Q3" Then Worksheets("Group P&L").Columns(c, h, m, r, w).Hidden = True ElseIf Worksheets("input").Range("b14") = "Q4" Then Worksheets("Group P&L").Columns.Hidden = False End If End Sub
I am working on a time table worksheet and I need to insert a time Offset that can range from 5 minutes to an hour with 5 minute increments. The message box or user form will prompt, "How long is your Offset:"
The problem is that I only know how to do make a drop down list that is populated from cells on a sheet. Do I have to use a user form?
