I am working on a Budgeting worksheet. I want to use UserForms as one method of Data entry. I would like to provide users with an input box that would prompt for a start and end date, then the category they are forecasting, and finally the quantity and price by day of the week. Is it possible to paste a 7 day set of data into a 10 (or more or less) day range? For example if the dates entered were for Jan 1 through Jan 10 this would repeat 3 of the days entered. I have attached a sample, not useing UserForm, to better illistrate what I am trying to achieve.
I have data in some of the cells within range A26:A39
These cells are populated via an IF function on another worksheet. Even though the cells appear blank (as in the value returned is ""), there is a formula in these cells. I think it's called formula blank?
I am looking for a way to copy the data from the cells within the range which are not blank (ie: not = "") and paste this data elsewhere on the sheet in a list with no blank spaces in between.
I anticipate that there will be 4 non blank cells within this range.
Ideally I would have data from the nonblank cells copied and pasted to cells A40 A41 A42 A43
I have a range of cells with data from one day. This range is "C36:K63"
Each day, the prior day's range needs to be copied and pasted into a new range that begins two rows below where the prior day's range ends.
Thus, day two should copy "C36:K63" into a new range: "C65:K92"
As you can tell, the rows will change each day, but the columns will always remain the same.
How can I create a macro that allows a user to copy data from the most recent range and paste it into a new range?
i.e. if there is no data in C65:K92, the macro should copy the data from C36:K63 and paste it into C65:K92. Then, the next day, the macro would copy the data from C65:K92 and paste into C94:K121.
Proficient in Excel, very new to VBA. Up against a deadline on a project that entails consolidating data from 30 + workbooks (each of which has 3-5 worksheets; layout is the same in all worksheets) into one consolidated "rollup" workbook. The inefficient way would be to move all the worksheets into one master workbook, and then link each cell to each worksheet, one-by-one. I found a few threads online with some vba code that has me "close" to what I need to accomplish, but not close enough. The code below will take each worksheet in the workbook and bring back the data in a range of rows and columns. That is not what I need. I only need to bring back SELECT cells of data (i.e. cells E5, H12, J19, etc.) - not everything in that range.
Sub CopyRangeFromMultiWorksheets() Dim sh As Worksheet Dim DestSh As Worksheet
I think I have the comand to select a range of cells, but can not figure how to paste this selection later in the spreadsheet.
This is how the application works.
I have a spreadsheet that I am using as a template. The first 10 rows have to be repeated later in the same spreadsheet after I make a manual page break.
I the spreadsheet I am doing the following commands: With xlApplication.ActiveSheet xlPageBreakManual .Rows(istartrow).Pagebreak = xlPageBreakManual End With
I am using code to filter my 4 sheets Greater then 0 (zero)
After apply above filter now i need to copy multiple rows and paste on another specific workbook for paste i m using below code:
for 1st sheet with the name ("V2")
for 2nd sheet with the name("LV")
For 3rd sheet with the name ("F2")
and 4th sheet with the name("L2")
If I play above code one by one all is going very well,,,,,,or if use in this way all is going very well
But here is a big problem..........if any sheet have no value greater then 0(zero)....then code paste all data... e.g shssts("LV") .Range("C5:C54").Copy but C5:C54 have no data greater then 0(zero) and it will paste on another sheet c5:c54 and again new sheets data will paste below the c54 while c5:c54 have no data.
So I want if any sheet have no data with range is greater then 0(Zero) then skip the copy paste code or use like SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible) .
I am trying to create a macro that will reformat my data from A2:QB24 into 9 columns starting in N28:V28 with the data from every 9 columns pasted underneath each other.
Basically, I need to start with copying Range A2:I24 and pasting it into cell N29, then copy Range J2:R24 and paste it into cell N53, etc.
I have a table in excel that I would like to copy into an email and send to my co-workers on a regular basis. Somewhere on the net I have find a piece of code (I've omitted a bunch of stuff here):
=AVERAGEIFS(A1:A1000;A1:C1000;"0";A1:A1000;"A1001") into range of cells so the changes relatively to its position e.g. in column B it will look like this
=AVERAGEIFS(B1:B1000;B1:C1000;"0";B1:B1000;"B1001") The macro I recorded will paste formula where I need, but all references remain the same. What should I do to make them change?
I am trying to Copy Cell from one sheet to another sheet starting on A7 and then going to V ? i have a formula that figures that out for me just need another formula or VBA to copy it to the new sheet. i will attach the a test of the file.
I'm trying to copy the non blank cells in an area ("B120:K239"). and special paste (values only) to the next blank row of the actual work area (3 pages) within the worksheet. The area that this needs to paste to is between("B10:K29, B44:K63, B78:K97"). Problem is that if there are more rows to be copied and pasted then there are open rows on the first sheet it gives an error due to the rows outside those areas having different formats (merged cells and that)
Question: Is there anyway to special paste between ranges? I've tried to hide the inbetween rows and that still doesn't work. Could it be possible to add something to this code to ignore hidden rows or to only paste to visible rows?
Sub Special_Paste () Application. ScreenUpdating = False With Range("B119") . AutoFilter Field:=2, Criteria1:="<>" With Range("B120:K239") Application.CutCopyMode = False .Copy With Range("30:43") .EntireRow.Hidden = True With Range("64:77") .EntireRow.Hidden = True Dim NextRow As Range Set NextRow = Range("B97").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0)...............
I've been trying to paste formula throughout a range of cells in the same column. Trouble is, I protect some sub- total cells and don't want the formula to paste over those sub-total formulas.
If I protect the sheet and paste the formula throughout the column including the protected cells, I would get an error message.
How can I paste the new formulas without getting into trouble of the protected cells?
What can I add to the macro I already have in place (below) to accomplish what I'm looking for (2 parts)? ...
1) I need to copy everything (formulas) that is in C7:F7 and paste it down to all "active" rows - I'm defining an active row by any row where column A is not blank.
2) I need to copy everything (formulas) that is in Q7:AF7 and paste it down to all "active" rows - I'm defining an active row by any row where column P is not blank. (You'll notice by the screenshot that there will be blank cells in column P mixed in with non-blank cells.)
I have on sheet "Charts" in cell "B20" a "date from" and in cell "C20" a "date to" (these will be input manually).
What I need is to check Column "F" on sheet "Report" for any cells within those dates, I then want to copy the entire row(s) that contain these dates and paste them into sheet "Weekly" starting at cell "A2".
Essentially I need to copy the first 8 cells in a row in one sheet (for example: A3:I3) when the word "Actuals" is entered into A3 from a drop down list. Then the copied data needs to be pasted to a another existing worksheet in the same workbook in the next available row. The data includes mostly values, but there is a formula in column H that creates a hyperlink out of the content in column G, friendly name in column I.
I am not stuck on the idea of having "Actuals" entered in column A as the trigger or change event and there will be times when a new copy/paste of the same data will need to be done more than once at a later date.
For further information, column B contains a serial number/productID number.
The following code is doing what I want it to do in part, its copying the data in range k3 to q3 to the next empty row in columns a to f
It works when I change any cell in column K (11), I want to change to only on a change in K7 or K8? As an afterthought if I'm dealing with the same sheet do I need to make reference to sheet2?
VB: Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) Dim nextRow As Long If Target.Column = 11 And Target.Cells.Count = 1 Then
I am using below code to copy data and paste after a certain row. I want in below code first copy data Range("C4:R46") and paste it automatically 50 times after 43 rows but with this condition.
I need a macro that will copy a selected range from an existing worksheet in a workbook and paste the data to the last row in another workbook on a particular worksheet.
I have tried using the below mentioned macro. However, it only work on one cell. I need to copy and paste a range from A1:Q200.
Sub retrievedata() Dim wbResult As Workbook, wbSource As Workbook, CopyRng As Range, Dest As Range Dim FileName As String, Filt As String Set wbResult = ThisWorkbook Set Dest = wbResult. Sheets("Data").Range("A1:Q200") Application. ScreenUpdating = False Application.DisplayAlerts = False Filt = "All Files (*.*),*.*" FileName = Application. GetOpenFilename(Filt) Set wbSource = Workbooks.Open(FileName) Set CopyRng = wbSource.Sheets("Summary").Range("A1:Q200") Dest = CopyRng Application.ScreenUpdating = True Application.DisplayAlerts = True wbResult.Activate wbSource.Close End Sub
Please see attached sample worksheet. Column A will be generated by the user manually.
I'm looking for a way in VBA to have A1:D20 in Sheet2 copied and pasted in the "Bank Reconciliation" Sheet based on how many "Markets" there are in Column A. Then, once that's complete to have A22:D30 (the smaller box in Sheet2) copied and pasted directly below those results.
I have what the macro would hopefully generate to the right in "Bank Reconciliation" (B6:E54) as an example. So if there's a market in A1, copy and paste the box to B6. If there's a market in A2, copy and paste the box directly below the first (B26) etc. etc. until it's done, then paste the smaller box directly below whatever the macro generates.
I am attempting to make a range of cells' data be deleted if a cell outside of that range that had a name in it is no longer there. So if I have a list of names in cells A1:A6 and a range of data in cells D10:E20 that corresponds to a name in cell A2. If the name in A2 is deleted I would want the data in D10:E20 to be deleted.
I previously posted a problem related to copying data from one sheet and paste it in another workbook when "Delivered" is chosen from a drop down menu. Everything works fine with my dummy files, but a problem comes up when I try to incorporate this code into the original file.
The issue is that once the code copies the info from the range A3:D3 it has to paste it into different cells in the other workbook.
Please see the attached file to see where I need the data from the range A3:D3 to be pasted.
I have a time entry spreadsheet where I total hours worked based on the time code entered in the cell next to the hours. I use a formula such as the following: =SUMIF(F11:AS19,"=AN",E11:AR19) which checks cells F11 thru AS19 for the timecode AN and when found, takes the hours in the cell before the code and adds them to the totals way off to the right.
The problem is that when someone does a cut and paste to the time data within the range of F11:AS19 and pastes it somewhere else, like to the next employees data (no formulas are being cut and pasted, just the detail data), the formula for that new line automatically changes to exclude the cells that were pasted over. It is as if Excel thinks that you pasted over that data so it is no longer of interest to you.
It is odd because you can cut and paste smaller ranges within that range with no effect to the formula but if you include the first column or the last column of the range in your cut, then the formula gets altered. If you cut and paste the entire range, the formulas all change to #REF!
Ive been trying to find out how i can paste information in the next available column but between certain columns. Here is an example of what im trying to do. There is a calculator which represents 3 machines. It runs different senerios if you change the % of product going into it (cells to change this are light blue). What im trying to do is take the information the machine outputs to the right and organize it on the next worksheet.
The data on the next worksheet is a combination of all the machines performance (in yellow) together and the machines personal performance (in red). when the button is pushed currently, I have the overall scenerios information filling down rows. What I would also like it to do is see if im using a machine (because it can be turned off by changing the usage to 0%), and if I am, copy the results form the individual machine to the next worksheet. When it copies it needs to see if the first machine slot is open and if not the second and paste in the available location. I cant have a specific spot for each machine on the real worksheet cause there are maybe 100 machines and if 15 are used I only want the first 15 machine info slots filled and im gonna hide the rest of the columns. The way the columns fill also cant be like the rows where it looks for next available free spot. It has to only be for the specific range in red because there is info to the right of where this is going.
Sub Send_Data() Sheets("Calculator Sheet").Select Range("AD9, AE9, AG9").Copy Sheets("output sheet").Select Range("B65536").End(xlUp).Select ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks _ :=False, Transpose:=False End Sub
I want to prevent copying and pasting over cells with data validation as this means the validation is overwritten. To get around this I've selected all the cells with data validation and unlocked them, then protected the worksheet with all boxes ticked apart from format cells, columns and rows.
This prevents copy/pasting from overwriting data validation but it doesn't prevent data being pasted in that doesn't meet the validation criteria.
So for example, say -1 is in cell A1, with no data validation. In B1 there is data validation, which doesn't allow negative numbers to be entered. If I copy and paste A1 into B1, the data validation isn't overwritten, but it doesn't stop the non validated data (-1) from being entered! If I then double click on B1 and press enter it recognises the validation criteria is not met.
