Feb 1, 2008Currently I have 5 identical command buttons which do something similar but in a different cell.
What i want to do is sum up the 5 different task using a single command button.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked the first time cell "B4" is populated with a value from a table.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a second time cell "B5" is to be populated with a value from a table.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a third time cell "B6" is to be populated from the table,
and so forth.
Is there a loop or anything that can be used for this? I only want other cells to be populated when the command button is pressed.

Sep 16, 2012See attached file - I would like to use the "Create Parts issue Report" Button to create worksheet titled "Parts Issue Report" based on the pulldown menu in cell B1 tab "Vehicle data" so each pulll down will generate a different "Parts Issue Report" when clicking the "Create Parts Issue Report" button. I think it needs to be a looping VBA to go thru the "Vehicle Data" rows and columns looking for the keywords "late" or past" as I only want a report created on that criteria. The output criteria I have label in the tab "Parts Issue Report" I can explain further if needed.

2) When I use the userform to add new info, it does save to the worksheet, but when I cose the userform and try to open the spreadsheet, I get the following message, "Userform is already opened. Reopening will cause any changes to be disguarded". If I answer yes, I lose my changes, if I answer no, the changes are saved. I want this message to go away and data from the userform to automatically be added to the spreadsheet.
3) I want to make sure the "Account Number" field has a 9 digit number in it before it can be saved. If there is not a 9 digit number I would like an error message saying "Please enter a 9 digit account number" as a pop up.
4) I want to make sure both the "Account Number" and the "Assignment" fields have been populated before the data can be saved.
Reading The Value Of The Option Button In The Frame
Nov 20, 2009I have a sheet with some normal cells and then some MS Forms 2.0 frames with OptionButtons inside of them. If I have OptionButtons outside of the frame I know how to read their values, but how to do it when the control is in the frame?
I need to make a form on one sheet and then make as many copies of the sheet as needed, and finally I have a macro that copies the data from all forms to one sheet, so that each form represents one row. My main goal is to save that one sheet as a .csv-file and then import it to our CMR database.
I'm not very familiar with Excel forms. Should I take some other approach to this problem or should I continue like I'm doing? I would be almost ready with my workboot if I only could read the values of the optionbuttons inside the frame.
I have tried:

and

where "SL_STD_HD" is the name of the OptionButton, but apparently these both are wrong.

Oct 10, 2013I am writing a macro to automate the filling up some data from excel to company website. I have changed the website name in this post for data protection purpose. The excel will login for different clients by using the combination of username and password for respective clients and then some data are required to be inserted in a text box on a web page, I think the text box is on a form and form is within an iframe, within the web page. Once the data is inserted into text box, one button (Submit), which is also on the same form, is to be clicked.
On the click of a button, the updated data appears on another section, I could not make out if it is an form or frame, which is under the abovementioned form. Once we are happy with the way data appears on the web page, we have to click another button (Update), which is on the same section, to finally updating the data on website.
I wrote the following code to login to the website and then to navigate to the web page where I have to fill up the performance numbers in a text box.
The first problem is how to access the text box inside the form from VBA so that the macro can write a number in that text box and how to access the button to submit the data. The HTML code, which can be seen on click of F12, is attached below.
The second problem is how to access the Update button inside the other section, so that the data will be finally uploaded.

Determining Button Clicked
Aug 7, 2006I have a spreadsheet with a variable number of xlButtonControl type form controls. The actual number of buttons depends on the amount of data that the spreadsheet is being asked to summarise. All the button controls use the ".OnAction" property to point execution on click to a common procedure.
Unfortunately that much is what it is and is beyond my control, so I just have to work with that.
What I would like to know is if there is a property or method I can access from within the common OnAction procedure that enable me to identify which button was pressed. If this was a CommandBar environment I would use the ActionControl property. Since it's not, and since I can't change it (not even to use ActiveX controls!), does anyone know an equivalent that I can use in this case?
Button Color Change When Clicked
Oct 4, 2011I have several buttons which, when clicked, pull up a range of data from another tab. Each button repopulates the appropriate cells with its specific data. I need to have an identification of which data set I'm currently viewing so was considering having the button, when clicked, change color or background/lettering colors swap, etc, until another button is clicked, then it changes color and the original button returns to the standard format. Is this possible? What type of button do I need to use?

I have quite a few button whereby they set a parameter for a procedure 'TrendData' based on the row they sit in. Currently I just have the row number hard coded i.e. Call TrendData(5) but I want to amend this so that when I add a row it doesn't offset all my buttons.
For Example

However instead of typing CommandButton3, CommandButton4, etc. I would like the code to know which button had been clicked and just use that?
Cell Reference From Clicked Button
Jul 29, 2008There was a similar question I found answered in the archives. However the solution given there (using ActiveSheet.Buttons(Application.Caller).TopLeftCell.xxx) does not work in my case.
A little googling and I think the reason is that I added my buttons from the toolbar and not from the forms editor. My buttons are in the OLEObjects collection, not in Buttons.
So how do I determine which of my OLEObjects was clicked? Is there something similar to "Application.Caller"?

thought I solved it by making the buttons backstyle = transparent.
However, as soon as radio button was clicked, transparency was lost.
I have named the range of the form "FormGround" so that when Service 1 is select, the Form turn a different colour. I have my subsequent buttons change to that same color as well (using the cell's color index number.

I wanted to minimize the userform and give focus to immediate next window (can be excel or non excel applications) for 10 seconds and then activate/show the userform back again, when the "Button 1" on the userform is clicked.
I tried hiding the userform, but this doesn't give focus to the immediate next window. Below is the code

P.S one other thing, say the button is in row 3, and Cells A1 and A2 are merged, when you click the button in row 3, it should extend the merge to A3.
