I currently have an excel file that has two column and multiple rows - one of the column has a date - what I need to have happen is for possible a macro or something of the sort to check this excel file every day and take the date that is in the Date column B and add 60 days to it and put it in column C. It would also be nice if it could then put a reminder in outlook on that date that is in column C with the subject of what is in column A.
I have a worksheet that has a sent date and expected delivery date I need create a macro that will alert me if today's date is within 5 days of expected delivery date.
I have set up a datasheet with information to be used in generating several pivot tables:
Column A - Our Invoice Number Comunn B - Vendor's Invoice Date Column C - Type of Vendor (Labor, PM, Subcontractor, Material, or Equipment) Column D - Vendor Name Column E - Vendor Invoice Number/Time Classification (Column C is Labor, PM, this is either Regular Time or Overtime. If Column C is Subcontractor, Material, or Equipment, the Vendor's Invoice Number is enetered.) Column F - Labor Hours Worked (Column C is Labor or PM, a value is entered, if not, formula enters "N/A") Column G - Labor Rate ((Column C is Labor or PM, vlookup value is entered, if not, formula enters "N/A") Column H - Amount Billed ((Column C is Labor or PM, formula multiplies rate by hours, if not, enter the amount of the Vendor's invoice.) Column I - Mark Up Percentage Column J - Mark Up Amount Column K - Total Amount Billed (Column H + Column J)
I need to set up a daily job sheet (like and invoice) for each date listed under Column B. For each day, I need to generate a daily job sheet showing all of that day's information. The location of the information is based on the value in Column C - Subcontractors's data go in one spot on the sheet and Labor costs go in another place.
I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
Last week I posted a question related to formatting a cell to return a Day of the Week versus a numerical representation IE "Wed" instead of 02/20/2008 12:00AM. The solution provided worked for me:
1) Format cell to DDD MM/DD/YYYY HR:MN. Cell range (A1:A500) 2) Format destination cell with DDD. Cell range (B1:B500) 3) Destination cell (B1) = to original cell A1 4) B1 displayed data as "Wed"
However, the issue I still have is; I wanted to create a pivot table summarizing a year activity by Day of Week (in other words 7 entries for the year) and the pivot table still recognized all the MM/DD/YYYY. I ended up with a table displaying every day of the year instead of a yearly summary by Day of Week. Is there some way to strip out all the other numerical data from the new column I created to run a pivot table by Day of the Week for a whole years activity?
I have a spreadsheet to record profit or loss on a daily basis. The figure for each day can therefore be positive, negative or zero.
I want to add a column to display the total for the last 7 days (NOT the last 7 calendar days), in which either a profit or a loss was recorded (so excluding any cell that is zero).
I would prefer to add (insert), the column for each day as it comes and the range would obviously vary if the new day's figure was not zero.
Where i want add Business Hours/Days to get the Target Date.
Working hours: 8:00 AM to 19:00 PM
Urgency Type:
ND (Maximum 1 Day 11 hours) 3D (Maximum 3 Day 11 hours) 4D (Maximum 4 Day 11 hours) 5D (Maximum 5 Day 11 hours) Threshhold - 16:30 PM Weekends to be Excluded.
Holidays to be Excluded based on Country. Say I have 2 countries India and America, where America has holiday on 12/24/2012 but India does not have holiday on that Day. Hence while calculating Tgt date, India should be calculated normally, for America holiday date need to excluded(There will be a Holiday table based on the countries, not limited to 2 countries).
ex: 1) A ticket opened at 12/26/2012 8:56 AM; Target date will be 12/26/2012 19:00, in this case its 1 day 10:04 hours added to the Opened Time.
2) A ticket opened at 12/26/2012 16:56 PM; Target date will be 12/29/2012 19:00, in this case ticket opened after threshold time of 16:30, Technically ticket should start from next day i.e 12/28/2012 8:00 AM and 1 day 11 hours added to this date.
3) A ticket opened at 12/26/2012 7:56 AM(Before the begin of Working hours); Target date will be 12/26/2012 19:00, in this case its 1 day 11:00 hours added to the Opened Time.
4) A ticket opened at 12/21/2012 17:56 PM(After Threshold time); Target date will be 12/24/2012 19:00, in this case its 1 day 11:00 hours added to the Opened Time. If the above ticket belonged to America, then holiday dates(both 24 & 25) need to be skipped and Tgt date will be 12/27/2012 19:00.
Here is the Sample Data
Country Ticket Start Date/ Time Tgt Date/Time Expected Tgt Date/ Time
America ID000123 12/21/2012 18:20
[code]....
I need results to be appear in the "Tgt Date/Time" column. I have also provided results in "Expected Tgt Date/ Time".
how do i get the previous days working date in VBA, how can i get VBA to determine wether we are in the week, and how will i get it to know its a monday to retrieve fridays date?
There are dates in column C and I need to count how many days are coming due within 90 days of each date based on the today() function but do not exceed the 90 days.
I'm using Excel 2010. I need to populate a daily calendar with the number of nights spent, extracted from the Date of Arrival and Date of Departure of individuals.
I am now trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.
I have an excel workbook that needs to be updated daily (new figures replace old ones at the moment), Want I want to be able to do I after filling in the cells, through that workbook be able to create a new identicle excel file for that day, with the name of the file being the date for that day, so basically at the end of every day a new file is created in a sought of archive. I understand I can just "Save As" every day, but the person that I am doing this for is .... well not the most competent of people.
I have an excel file that I use to track all my financial investments. The file is already set up with a query to retrieve stock prices when I refresh the document.
I would like to be able to open up the document, and store the closing price of the stock(s) with a date in the next column over. With this information I can graph weekly, monthly annually, or any time period I want.
I have been searching for a couple of hours now, and I could not find anything similar to this. I would think this is a pretty common idea for many people tracking their investments with Excel, so if it has been covered perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.
I don't have any programming experience in excel so as detailed of an explanation as possible
I am trying to get the results of the number of days between today and a future date. I am using ="cell containing futuredate"-today() and it gets me the correct number of days. The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem. Is there a way get excel to display nothing if it is a negative number? or to give a specified resut if the number becomes negative such as Expired or something of that nature?
I need a formula that will calculate the number of days from a date entered into cell A1 to today's date. Whether it's before or after todays date. Example:
I have two columns of dates, leave start and end dates (when people start leave i.e. annual leave). Would need to introduce column(s) to calculate how many days fell within the month including the end date and excludes weekends.
For example, if the staff on leave from 31st March to 6 April, i need to show that the number of leave taken as 1 day in March and 4 days in April.
i am trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date.
I have column B with a heading "Days Remaining" and column L with a heading "Deadline". starting with row 5, I need to be able to enter a date in L5 and see the days I have left, from that day untill today, on B5. I need to then be able to enter a date into L6 and see a result in B6 and on and on. Then I need to be able to insert or delete a column and have the formulas still work in the columns with the heading "Days Remaining" and "Deadline"
We have a few residential care homes across UK. I have a workbook where I store all our residents fees which I update daily. There are 2 worksheets on one I store list of residents on the other one I have a daily breakdown.
What I'd like to do is to use worksheet "daily" to sum fees from "all residents" with criteria like: - carehome ("daily" row 2), - fee ("daily" F:K,N:S,V:AA etc) - date ("daily" C7:C1073).
While fees are on worksheet "all residents" where: - column A has carehome name on it - column M to AG has fees on it - row M3:AG3 has dates on it
For example id like to count in cell F7 how many residents in Branch Court "Bc" were in residency on 12 March 2012 with £520 fee looking on worksheet "all residents" with criteria fee, carehome, date)
Each time one of the council backdates fees or changes a resident to lets say a private one I have to manually change all the numbers which takes time.
I was wondering if anyone knows how I could enter a date in one cell, then another date in a second cell and in a third cell have it have it so it minuses the first date from the second and calculates the difference outputted in number of days.
I need to create a formula that states a delivery date when the order date is entered in an adjacent column. Items ordered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be delivered the Friday of the following week, eg. ordered 23rd April 2008, delivered on the 2nd of May 2008. Items ordered on Thursday or Friday will be delivered on a Friday 2 weeks later, eg. ordered on the 24th April, delivered on the 9th of May 2008
This auto run macro does not seems to run/repeat itself daily. I can't figure out why am I missing something? My end result should be that these reports run at the times listed on the macro every day 24/7. The spreadsheet will be on a computer that is never off.
I am trying to create a macro that would copy three cell values - Date, Amount, Rate (from Sheet1) and paste them into Sheet2 as values.
In addition, this macro will be run for each business day's file, which only has the 3 values only as of that date; I want Sheet2 to be updated on a daily basis with historical data from past days (when the macro was run) and pasted as values.
For example, if i run the macro today, it should copy Date, Amount & Rate from Sheet1 ('Data' tab in sample.xls) and paste them as values in the next row after yesterday's data in Sheet2 ('Historic data' tab in sample.xls).
