Search For Selected Text In Column Then For Errors Along Active Row

Heres the code:
I'm having trouble with the With statement near the bottom for the active sheet, effectively the row search. (Would be great if the font can be changed to red as well as text "Withdrawn").

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

Dim ws As Worksheet 'worksheety
Dim Answer As String 'answery
Dim r As Range 'rangey
search = Range("b7").Text 'texty

I have a range of amounts in Sheet 1 from F7:Q13 and im using the find method to search for the active and non active values in the cell. Which means that if there's a value in the cell it will transfer the value in Sheet 2, if nothing is found in the cell the cells in Sheet 2 will return as nothing or null.
I think the problem lies on the FindWhat variable. Im getting a compiled error which im not sure what is it.
I've attached the spreadsheet so you get a better idea of the problem that i encountered.

I have 2 columns: Locations (Column A) & Dates (Column B).
I want to find the most recent date for a selected Location (stored in $G$1).
currently I have in C2: =If($A2=$G$1,$B2,"") copied down the column to the end of data (currently C153). Then in C1: =Max(C$2:C$153).
I also have in D2: =If($C2<$C$1,$C2,"") copied down to D153, and in D1: =Max(D$2:D$153) to find the 2nd most recent date.
Is there some way to condense this into just 2 cells?
See attached file for example (note the columns are currently sorted by date, but that is not always the case).

What I have is a sheet that is copied periodically from some source sheet, and on this sheet is a table. This sheet is called "Onsite Checklist Template" and it's table is titled "Checklist". I also have another sheet called "Loggers and Initial Notes" which has a tabled titled "Record", and then finally a title sheet call "Proj Details".
To clear this intro up - The sheets, in their order, is: "Proj Details", "Loggers and Initial Notes", "Onsite Checklist Template". The tables: "Record" on "Loggers..." and "Checklist" on "Onsite..."
When the user wants to make a new site visit, he/she fills in the requested date and then selects a button on "Proj...". When this button is selected, it copies the table data on "Record" and puts it on "Checklist", then inserts a new worksheet tab, always in the 3rd position (the title is based on the site visit date in which the user entered), which is a copy of "Onsite...". Now we have another sheet with a table called "Checklist1", and upon another new site visit, there will be another worksheet with "Checklist2", and so on.
On the "Onsite..." worksheet, there is a button on it which also gets copied with the worksheet so that every new worksheet has this copied "Checklist ???" and this button. I'm looking for a macro that, when the button is selected, will bounce the active sheet's table "Checklist ???" off of "Record" and make changes as needed.
"Checklist ???" data range is B11:M20 (the header is on row 10); "Record" data range is B29:Q78 (the header is on row 28); Column headers are titled the same, just that "Record" has 4 extra columns, 3 in the middle and 1 on the end. "Checklist ???" columns 1-12 to "Record" columns 1-7, 10-12, 14-15. The search criteria is the 4th column in both tables ("Trk #").
I need the macro to do the following:If it finds a match, then update "Record" as needed with data from "Checklist ???", changing whatever cell is different in the row that contains the matching "Trk #", so long as the cell on "Checklist ???" is populated (i.e, if a cell on the target row of "Record" has a value, but it's blank on "Checklist ???", then "Record" wins; if it's blank on "Record", but populated on "Checklist ???", the Checklist wins. If both populated but different, then Checklist wins.If a "Trk #" exists on "Checklist ???" but is not on "Record" then add the line to "Record" (the 1st empty row, table size remains)I see no need for any "delete" at this time.
My concerns: The last column on record (column #16) is the filtering column for the worksheet copy event and needs to be left alone (it's formulated to produce a "Yes" or "No")I would like the ability to adjust table sizes if needed without modifying the macroThe table rows on "Checklist ???" will not be changed, deleted, or altered in any way by the macro.

Search a worksheet for a user defined text string, and have excell return the contents of a predetermined column in the same row in which the text string was found.
A prepopulated worksheet has the text "gold" entered in cell T278.
1. user searches for "yellow_metal"
2. Excell finds "yellow_metal" in row 278, say in cell A278.
3. Excell then goes to predetermined column (programed as part of macro or VB), say "T", and returns the text contents of the cell in that column, T278 in this example.
4. Excell returns "gold"

I’ve got a little problem with the text to column function.
I’ve got in column A critarias and if it is for example L it should run a surtain text to column code.
With Range("A1:A65536")
. AutoFilter Field:=1, Criteria1:="L"
Range("B1").Select
Selection.End(xlDown).Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).TextToColumnS Destination:=Range("B2"), DataType:=xlFixedWidth, FieldInfo:= Array(Array(0, 1), Array(21, 1), Array(60, 1))
End With
With the Auto Filter some rows between 2 until 7624 are shown. But unfortunately the text to column code is used for every row between 2 and 7624. Does anyone know how to avoid it?

Every week I have a worksheet compiled with large range of data, being input after many meetings done. The action-owner Names in open/close brackets are among the long text input in one Column (there are not more than 50 rows of data).
My problem is that in the Column every time I have to manually Bold-face the owner names in the cells that have their names, pressing F2 and Bold. Examples: ...(Wilfred)... or ...(Jacky/Joseph)... Can someone please help me with a code, say I can list out a fixed list of selected text and such code will be able to have these selected text (which is names in this case) in the cells bold-faced.

Anyways, the issue is that when I have some cells selected then use the text-to-columns, it works fine.. but when I select an entire column, it "acts a fool"...
I made this video to show the effect on my computer.

I've got a large Excel table that's full of names and e-mail addresses - it's a report of e-mails that merges some data from two systems we use; a registration form and a database. We want to clean up the data so it only lists folks who 'registered' (it's not always BOTH people listed - sometimes it's only one!) - and the best way to do that is to take the information from a specific column in each row, see if it exists elsewhere in the row and clear the information that doesn't match.
For example:
-A----------------B------------------C--------------------D--------------E------------------F-------------------G-
John ---------- Smith -------- js@email.com -------- Jane -------- Smith --------- js@email.com ------ John
Richard ------ McGee ---------j@email.com-----------Jim----------Samename ----jsn@email.com-------Rich
Mary-----------Ladyface ------ms@email.com--------Steve -------Smith ----------ss@email.com-------Steve
Ideally, for each row I'd like to search A and D for the string from column G. If it finds it, the cell and the two cells to the right are fine - but everything else is 'cleared' (not deleted).
So the above table would look like:
-A----------------B------------------C--------------------D--------------E------------------F-------------------G-
John ---------- Smith -------- js@email.com --------------------------------------------------------------- John
Richard ------ McGee ---------j@email.com-----------------------------------------------------------------Rich
-------------------------- -------------------------------Steve -------Smith ----------ss@email.com-------Steve

I have some macros that will look for a certain item and then move it somewhere else on the spreadsheet. However, I can't seem to get the code right to skip over the section if the text is not found. I assume it would be easiest to do it with error handling, but the attempts I've made haven't worked.
the macro will search for the text "Name" and move everything under that column elsewhere; then it will do the same for "Date." But currently, if "Name" is not found anywhere on the spreadheet, it will cause an error and ask to end or debug.

I want to replace all blank cells in column A with the word "BLANK" but my problem is that I need to tell Excel to stop searching for blank cells in column A once and only once column A is equal to the last data row in the column named "Product Number". I tried this macro but, naturally, it replaces all the empty cells in the WHOLE COLUMN.
I will always have a header column in row 1. The data is below that (data will always start at row 2).
Columns("A:A").Select
Selection.Replace What:="", Replacement:="BLANK", LookAt:=xlPart, _
SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
ReplaceFormat:=False
How can I change this so that the find/replace macro searches all the way down equal to the last data row in the "Product Number" column?
Below are 2 examples. Example 1 is pre macro and example 2 is post macro.

The word "Jan" will be stored in a cell, so I need the code that could pick up the contents of that cell and lookup the col D (in another sheet, ie. "MthMaster") for that word.

How many text strings in a reference column appear in paragraphs of text listed in another column within excel.
So column A contains text strings such as:
{{Advisor_Signature__c}}
{{Advisors_Initials__c}}
{{Advisors_Job_Title__c}}
{{Age__c}}
And I need to see whether any of these appear in cells in a reference column G. If they do, I would like to return 'Used' into column B.
An example of the type of text in each cell in column G is:
"If you have any questions regarding your offer, please contact me. For any questions regarding your benefits, payroll or company policies and programs, please contact HR. Sincerely, {{Advisor_Signature__c}} {{Advisors_Job_Title__c}}"
I don't seem to able to search for a text string across multiple reference cells.

I am trying to create a search filter that checks a cell for text or part of text in 3 columns and then filters out the rows that have a match. So there would be a cell at the top of the page with a line around it and the word type your search criteria here. The used types in a word and excel then looks into 3 columns below that have various data. If there is match then a filter action would kick in and only show the rows where there was a match regardless of the column.

I use this line of code to determine the text
Set rFound = Sheets("ProductCount").Rows(14). Find(What:=sProduct, LookIn:=xlValues, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext)
ProdRow = rFound.Column
where sProduct contains values such as SW , CO. Now, when I use rFound to query SW, it finde me this first occuring SW. I have this inside a for loop. When it goes and queries again, it should get me the next occuring SW, not the first SW that it searched for me.

I tried to search the forum first and but i cant find ways to combine everything i wanted to achieve. That's why i'm posting this to consolidate all those...Sample files are attached for better understanding. I have an excel file (sample.xls) which has cell values in column A. These values will then be used to find a match in each of the text files (in this example, sample 1.txt & sample 2.txt) present in the same folder with my excel workbook. I need a macro to perform the scenarios below.
1. Say, the excel file contains a list of cell values in column A.
2. Temporarily open the first text file (sample 1.txt) as an excel workbook.
3. Search each cell value in column A for a match in the first text file.
a. If that certain cell finds a match, no matter how many it may find, that cell will be formatted with "BOLD" format.
b. If not, that cell will be formatted with GRAY text color.
4. After all the cells have been used, the first text file will be closed and the next text file (sample 2.txt) will be opened temporarily.
5. Repeat steps 3 & 4, except that, when the cell value has "BOLD" format already, it will be skipped and proceed to the next cell. That is, the grayed ones can be turned back to black color and will be formatted to "BOLD" format if a match has been found in the 2nd text file.
6. If there are other text files present within the folder, do steps 2 to 5, until all the text files are searched.

I have a spreadsheet which shows a matrix in pounds. But I would like to have a reference cell somewhere near the top which will automatically show the conversion to kilos of any selected cell. Is anyone aware of a function which will do this?
For example, one pound equals 0.45359237 kilos.
Cell A1 contains the reference function to the active of selected cell. If I click on B1 which contains 12, cell A1 would automatically show 5.45. If I click on cell C1 which contains 20, cell A1 would automatically show 9.09.
So I’m thinking it would be something like
=SelectedCell/0.45359237 or maybe =ActiveCell/0.45359237

What is the VBA code for inserting text in all column B-cells of multiple selected rows?
I am creating a worksheet with a table containing various data related to orders of various materials (this is more or less data gathering from an older, paper-based 'system'). This table spans, columnwise, from A to D and expands downwards as more orders are added. The information in each column is: A=order number, B=type of material and C=material specs. and D=additional comments.
I've set it up so that the only thing I really have to do is to insert the type of material in the cells of column B, and the rest will sort itself out. Instead of having to insert a new row for each new entry and manually typing in the name of the material (these entries are often done in the midst of already existing data), I created several similar, macroed buttons for the different types of materials we use. These macros work by selecting the row of the currently active cell, inserting a new row and then add the name of the material in the column B-cell of this new row. What I am having trouble doing though, is to get the text-entry to work for a selection of multiple cells.
As an example, lets say that I would like to add 5 orders of "Grade A Steel" in the middle of the table - in the row above row 8. With the macro I currently have I can select cell B5, click the macro, and a new row will be inserted with "Grade A Steel" in column B of this new row. This action could be performed 5 times over, but would be easier if I could just mark a range of 5 cells, say B8:B12, click the macro and get the text/data inserted the column B-cells of all 5 of the new rows. So far I've been able to create a macro that inserts multiple new rows, but I've only been successful in filling the column B-cell in the first row leaving the 4 below empty.

I am using this code to hide or unhide rows of text on another sheet:
VB:
Sub ProcessSheet1ChangeOnCellJ7(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim sAddress As String
Dim sValue As String
'Get the address of the cell that changed without '$' signs
sAddress = Target.Address(False, False)
[Code]....
When the "Not Pursuing" list box option is selected (in cell "J7" or "J8" in Sheet 1) I need to add (or over-write) "Not Pursuing" to the range of cells in column "B" (in the "Tasks" sheet), but only for that particular Goal, meaning a limited range of cells in column "B". If the "Pursuing - Show All Tasks" option is selected for a Goal then these same cells need to be blank so that the appropriate person can enter their name into the cell.
The purpose for adding "Not Pursuing" automatically to these yellow highlighted cells is that it will facilitate filtering of tasks by individual in the "Tasks" sheet..
Again I have tried several times to upload a sample file and am unable to, which I know makes it more difficult to solve. (Is there some common mistake people make? I know it's an allowed format and is very small in file size....)
Code solution can be entered directly beneath:
VB:
If Target.Value = "Not Pursuing" Then
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Tasks").Rows("29:29").EntireRow.Hidden = False
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Tasks").Rows("30:48").EntireRow.Hidden = True

'Range("B4").Select
' Tests current cell against FindRemove
'Do
'If ActiveCell.Value = FindRemove Then

I am trying to write a macro to search a column for a specific text string which when found, will copy the whole row the string is in. Once this row has been copied, I then want the macro to activate a new sheet and search for the next available empty row to paste the data. Once this has been done, go back to the original sheet and find the next cell in the original column with the specified text string and repeat until the range has been satisfied. Below is the script I have that sort of works.
