I have a workbook made up of 10 worksheets or so. Each of the rows in each worksheet includes the age of a case in column H. I want to copy the rows that show a case that is over 90 days of age, I then want to paste these into another worksheet. I want to do this for each of the ten worksheets.

I've been doing various searches for past few hours and can't seem to find out if one its even possible, the closet I've found on here is to copy row to another workbook.
My question is I have one excel book called level1.xls and another excel book level2.xls, now in level1.xls I have a row of fields filled in and in level2.xls I have a blank form which for example I would like to try programme in VBA from the level2.xls file to click a button and open automatically level1.xls then grab field "A2" value from level1.xls and place it in level2.xls field "L4" then continue using level1.xls "B2" to level2.xls in field "C3" and then continue down when I add more values A3, A4 so on in level1.xls to the same field in level2.xls L4.

I have a workbook that contains 50 worksheets named 1-50. I need to add more worksheets. all the formulas in the worksheets always refers to the previous worksheet.
How can i make a copy of the worksheet named 50, name it 51 and have all the formulas in worksheet 51 refer back to worksheet 50?

The Sheet names are auto generated when I run this canned report but the naming structure is always the same...the first worksheet is named Repair Details and then the next sheet is named Repair Details_1, the next sheet is named Repair Details_2 and so on for every sheet in workbook. So I would like to copy all of the data(Headers to last cell) and then paste in a worksheet(ex: Master Repair Report.xlsx and the worksheet could be titled Master Repair Details) on a different workbook, then the next sheet would copy from the one under the header to the last record and paste to the same workbook. This process would repeat for every worksheet in the Repair Details Workbook and paste to Master Repair Details worksheet in the Master Repair Report workbook.

Both workbooks have the exact same layout, and they both have the same named worksheet (in this case it's called Entry). However the actual filename of the source workbook is unknown. I know numerous users have changed the filename of the xls file.
I want to instruct them to open the old and new workbook, and open a third workbook containing the copy macro, they run the macro and it copies the data.
How can I reference a known worksheet name but of an unknown workbook name esp when the source and destination share the worksheet name?
I have 2 workbooks. The workbooks have 36 tabs for each department. Workbook 1 are current charges for the departments and workbook 2 is the revenue for each department. I would like to take the top 2 rows from workbook 2 and add them to workbook 1 at the bottom of each tab. I was able to get it to work to a specific row but the workbook 1 has variable rows for each tab.

That is the easy part. The complication is that I would like the macro to select the rows based on a particular string value that will be impossible to specify in a fixed way (i.e., it will change from project to project). Let's say the variable that distinguishes the rows is location, so some are from Tokyo, some New York, and some from Paris. I'm in the middle of building a code that will look at the value in Sheet: "DATA" column "J", for each row that matches a criteria that I pull from a cell - Sheet: "Test" Cell: "C1".
The number of rows varies. I want to paste columns: "I2, K2:P2, U2:AJ2" when the value in Sheet: "DATA" column "J" matches the cell "C1".

I'm trying to create a macro that will allow the user to select a range of cells, (in column V in the attached sample), and then insert a new worksheet and copy the entire row where the user selected the cells to that worksheet.
For example: (I've deleted most of the data from the sample). The user want to create an order that has an exteded cube of 300 feet. By holding the "Ctrl" key down, they could pick and choose the parts they want to add, until the sum in Excel shows nearly 300.00 extended cube. They would then run the macro, which would copy only the rows which the user has selected in column V to the new worksheet.
I have some selected cells in column A, they are not consecutive. I would like to copy these values and then copy the same area but from a different column...
The code I have here is only working when I have a consecutive selection.

Ok I recently ran into something in Excel that was completely unexpected. When I filter data, and select multiple rows of data, and copy and paste it.... it pastes the unfiltered rows as hidden rows! Is there a way around this without copying row by row?

View 7 Replies View Relatedi have a macro that opens 10 other workbooks and copies cells onto a "master" workbook. Until recently, everything worked fine. Suddendly, while it opens the 9 books and copies as it is expected, but when it opens the 10th wb, the macro breaks at a very simple copy/paste.
The weirdest thing is that after it breaks, I cannot select any cells neither in the opened wb nor in the master wb. This continues even after I press the "reset" button in the vba. So, I am only able to select objects (text boxes etc) in my wb and not any cells.
Also, the "arrow" icon on the design toolbar is not active. And I've tried pressing and de-pressing the F8 key, but I still cannot select any cells.
I have option explicit in the beginning of my macro. And i'm using excel 2003.
I have 2 workbooks.
The first one (Top Ten Auto Generator.xls) ( Sheet is Summary) has 1 row (13) with 4 cells that have data. A13 with date (today formula), B13, D13, and E13 are numbers. The cell range will be the same each time the data is copied (the workbook has a marco to generate the numbers each day already).
The date doesn't need to be copied, just the other 3 cells data (in the same order) using paste special.
The workbook that needs the cell data is a report ( Dashboard.xls) that has lots of different departments each using 3 columns for their specific data. The left most column A is the date listing to match.
The column Range for my department on that "Raw Data" sheet is "H", "I", & "J" where the "H" would get the data in "B13", "I" would get "D13", "J" would get "E13" for the date that matches the other workbook.
So the way it would work, is that once the vba is run the 3 cells from the auto generator are copied, then the vba opens the dashboard.xls and looks for the date in column A which matches the other workbooks A13 date value, and then the cells are pasted into that row, but in column H, I, & J.
Here's sort of some code that I put together to see if that would be easier to understand. I'm new at doing the vba so I don't have better code.

I have been struggling with trying to find a way to copy worksheets from one workbook to another. The workbooks change each month. As I was searching the forum for previous threads on this topic, I found this great code, but I need to modify it just a bit and I do not know how to do that. The code allows the user to select the worksheet to import, but it imports it to a new workbook and I need to be able to not only select the sheet to import, but the workbook to import it to.

View 14 Replies View RelatedThough VBA I am trying to copy one worksheet into a new workbook. This worksheet contains Graphs which point to other datasheets in the same workbook.
I first copy the data worksheets, then I copy over the worksheet with graphs. However the graphs link to the original worksheet name- not to the datasheets in the same workbook as the newly created workbook. This is a problem since I am going to send this other workbook to users and they won't have access to the orginal datasheet.
I copy the sheets using the code:

Where the worksheet DIVISION is the worksheet containing the graphs and the data sheets are already copied there.
The macro below copies certain sheets from one workbook to another, however the worksheets are protected in the original but when they are copied to the new workbook the protection is removed. Is there any way to keep them protected once copied?
I also have a couple of buttons with macros assigned to them one of which I would like to remove when the worksheets are copied to the new workbook, is this possible?

I am trying to copy a worksheet called "Survey Extract Agents" from one workbook into another called "Raw Test Data". "Raw Test Data" is also the name of the sheet in the workbook of the same name. I want the "Survey Extract Agents" to be inserted after the "Raw Test Data" sheet. My macro keeps choking on it....
