Set Color Or Any Different Identification When VLookup Match From Other Sheet?

My vlookups gives mostly #N/A in my full column, one or twice match with other sheet, so difficult to identify which one match in my lookup, i should watch carefully every time it will be matching or not, IS there any options when match it with formula then it appear highlight or color?
Or any options vlookup matching with original color and format?

I have some tabs that are color coded. What I want to do is:
1. Depending on the tab color on Sheet A, have it compare that color to a set of cell colors on Sheet B that have descriptors next to them,
2. vlookup the descriptor on Sheet B and
3. put the descriptor into cell A2 of sheet A
How I would go about accomplishing this?

The purpose of the attached spreadsheet is to record whether or not my company has stock of each item, on every day. It currently works by doing a VLOOKUP in each cell if the date matches todays date which is generated by the formula on the TOTALS tab, cell I2. The current days stock levels are refreshed by a database query on the DATA tab and then totaled up on the TOTALS tab. The VLOOKUP formula returns the stock level and if we are out of stock then we are manually formatting the relevant cell on the REPORT tab red.
It has been suggested to me that there might be a way to do this via conditional formatting although I cannot work out how as once the current day changes to tomorrow then the formula in the previous cell no longer returns a value and the conditional formatting would return teh cell colour to white. Is it possible to automate this process using VBA so that whenever the sheet is opened (daily) then it will copy and paste special the relevant stock level for that day against the correct product?

I have a spreadsheet that loads a huge amount of data (50,000 rows) that needs to be parsed as follows:
Below are the Broker Names listed in Column A:
Column A:
Broker Name 1 = Tom
Broker Name 2 = Dick
Broker Name 3 = Harry
Broker Name 4 = Frank
Below are the Broker Codes listed on another section of the same worksheet:
Column R (for example):
Broker Code for Broker Name 1 (Tom) = BT
Broker Code for Broker Name 2 (Dick) = BD
Broker Code for Broker Name 3 (Harry) = BH
Broker Code for Broker Name 4 (Frank) = BT
I would like to have the Broker codes (e.g. BT, BD, BH or BT) put in Column C next to the corresponding Broker names. The part that I am having difficulty with is that it is a mixed situation whereby only one Broker Code (e.g. BD and BH) applies to one specific Broker Name, while other Broker Codes (e.g. BT) may apply to multiple Broker Names.
Can a formula be developed that could be copied and pasted in Column C that would compare the list of codes against the list of names and return the appropriate Broker Code?

I am having some trouble getting a formula to work. I am building a report that pulls figures from a pivot table in another workbook. I am using a vlookup with match function to get the column index to find the relevant data I want. Where I need to add two columns together I am using sum, with the vlookup & match formulas nested in them e.g.:

Where:
F13 = Employee number
Column C on the pivot 156 workbook is where the employee number is based.
The Match formula is then getting the column index from the column headings of the pivot table ie. "FAID"
This in itself works fine, as long as it finds a match in the column headings. This is where i get the error as in the above function "COMD" is not in the pivot table. However I need to keep it included as it may appear on a future pivot table. Is there a way of getting the sum function to complete even though later in the formula it can't complete the vlookup? So it will ignore it, or assume the value is zero if it can't find it? The formula probably needs to do this for all the vlookups as some headings may drop off in future pivot tables.

I am trying to match data from 2 independent sets, formatted slightly differently so not sure which function would work best for me. From the attached file, I am trying to match the date and time stamp (in cell A1) with that from the other data (in this example in cell E1) and return the data (from cell F1) to cell C1. So basically any date and time stamp before 04/03/09 04:00 will return a value of 44 (this value should appear, therefore in cells C1 - C30)

I need a function to return a boolean T/F to check if a 17 character string meets the following checksum validation.
This is for Vehicle Identification Numbers for vehicle made after 1981
I need a VBA function that I can call multiple times in a workbook,
Example =VIN(A1) which returns True or False.
First, find the numerical value associated with each letter in the VIN. (I, O and Q are not allowed.) Digits use their own values.
A->1B->2C->3D->4E->5F->6G->7H->8
J->1K->2L->3M->4N->5P->7R->9
S->2T->3U->4V->5W->6X->7Y->8Z->9
Second, look up the weight factor for each position in the VIN except the 9th (the position of the check digit).
1st->82nd->73rd->64th->55th->46th->3
7th->28th->1010th->911th->812th->713th->6
14th->515th->416th->317th->2
Third, multiply the numbers and the numerical values of the letters by their assigned weight factor, and sum the resulting products. Divide the sum of the products by 11. The remainder is the calculated check digit. If the remainder is 10, the calculated check digit is the letter X.
Finally, if the calculated check digit did match the 9th digit of the VIN entered by a user, the VIN passed the checksum test. It failed the checksum test otherwise.

I have this excel sheet with 200+ (number can change depend of situation) checkboxes here and I would like for the worksheet to do the following:
1) when i click on the checkbox, it copies all the data in the same row as the checkbox to a seperate sheet (sheet2) and not leaving any spaces if checkboxes are not click in order.
Here comes the addition...
2) when i uncheck the checkboxes, the row that associated with the checkbox will be removed.
3) the checkboxes will all be uncheck with a commandbutton (reset switch)
4) variable number of checkboxes so that i dont have to link the subroutine to every checkbox with the move and remove subroutine. (because there will be unknow number of checkboxes and mostly 200+)
example (want to be able to replace all the 1, 2, 3...with an X or any way possible)

I have two sheets of data , sheet A and Sheet B.
Sheet B contains a column called "Name" and for each name, and for each name there are corresponding numbers. In sheet A, I have a "list of interest" in column A. What i want to do look through the data in sheetB to find a match from the list of interest and return the corresponding letters, located in column A.
I have filled out the first two rows of results that should be returned as an example.
One idea i had was to put a vlookup formula in each column result 1 to result 6 so i can catch all 6 "Serves" columns from column B, but there may be duplicates in the serve columns and vlookup only reports the first match.

I need a macro that can search a sheet for a match and then copy all 7 cells to the right of the match. I have attached an example of the sheet that will serve as the database to search, and a userform example that will be similar to the userfrom that will display the copied cells when a match is found. I plan to copy and paste the 7 cells to a different sheet so that the userform can display the results with the control source property. I do not need a way to add to this database. I know very little about searching a database so.

I've got a macro which corrects the status value in column U to match the first value for each identical value found in column A. The only problem is it does not fix/add the color index value for the corrected status values.
ammend the macro to allow the cell's color value to be corrected or added when the values in column U are fixed. I've attached an example sheet w/ macro included.
Column U shows the beginning state before the macro is ran. Column V shows what the results in column U are after the macro is run. Column W shows what U should be after the macro runs with a fix applied to it.

I am cross referencing products between two sheets. They come with different product numbers and I have modified them to search for the important last 5 digits from tab 1 (image 1 column D) with the full 11 digits in tab 2 (image 2 column E). The tab for cross referencing is named Distribution vlookup. I have the following formula and cannot get it to work properly. I have used this formula before in another similar report, and have adjusted the tab/file names and fields but I must be missing something since everything comes up as unauthorized, yet I can ctrl+f and find matching items.
VLOOKUP Formula:
=IF(ISNUMBER(VLOOKUP(D4,'Distribution vlookup'!$E$6:$E$133,1,FALSE))=TRUE,"Authorized","NotAuthorized")
Next, I wanted to nest a color coding on whether the item has sold in the last 12 months (image 2, column H). I cannot get that to work, so I tried to run a seperate column to identify selling status and cannot get that ot work either.
Sold in last 12 months formula:
=IF('Distribution vlookup'!H7>0,"Sold in last 12 mos","n/a")

I have 2 different worksheets...each of them containing item numbers. On Sheet1, Column A contains the item numbers. I have conditional formatting to change the interior color of column A based on several criteria.
On Sheet2, I also have item numbers, but they are located in Column B. If item 12345 in Column A on Sheet1 has an interior color of yellow, I would like that same item on Sheet2 to have an interior color of yellow.

I'm trying to format the color of a certain cell, if two values match.
A1=100
B1="Choose"
I want to format B1 to color RED, if A1=any number, and B1="Choose".
B1 contains list-data where you can chose from different values.
So if A1 contains a value, and B1 has not been set a different value than "Choose", format B1 to RED. Which would indicate that you have to set a value for the rest of the worksheet to work.

I am either trying to do 2 vlookups or 1 match and a vlookup, but I am not sure. I have two workbooks. The first workbook I need to populate the 'Actual Taken' column from my second workbook. Below is the first workbook:

What I would like to do, is first have the formula locate the Store Manager from the First workbook and find it in the Second Workbook, then once it finds Store Manager, look at the Course Name from the Frist Workbook and find it in the second workbook, finally populate column C from Workbook 2 to the Actual Taken in Workbook 1.

I have an account issue. In the attached file sheet Balance, there is a trial balance sheet with account ID, Name, Credit and Debt which I download from system every month. In sheet Check, I have some related account IDs. If the ID is found from Balance sheet and is Credit, the amount in Check sheet will be positive. Otherwise it will be negative.I have ever tried to use Match, Vlookup function to do it but did not get it.

For example, in sheet1, Cell B2 should equal 3. And it should stretch across the entire data range, so even something like B14 should return 3.

In Column A I have vessel departure dates
In Column B I have Final Destinations
In Column D I have vessel arrival dates
I am trying to get the result of column D based on matching A & B information. My dilemma is that if I have vessels with the same departure dates going to different destinations how can I retrieve the arrival date? I've been trying "vlookup" and "index/match" to no avail.

I have a worksheet that has numerical data in A1:A22. In E1:E61 I have set values in numerical order and in F1:F61 I have a letter or letters that correspond to E1:61.
I am trying to write a formula in B1 that will look at the value in A1 and then match it up in E1:E61 and then return the corresponding letter in F1:F61.

I want to be able to get a partial match that will allow for spelling mistakes by the user. The wild card (*) seems to only look at the left-most text and return #N/A if the text isn't matched sequencially.
