Update Master Sheet From Daily Report

i have facing a big problem nowadays.problem is that, i have to regularly update manually(copy & paste) "oil filling", " stock" & "meter reading", coming from every day by the supervisors of our company for verious sites spreading accross the our state, nearly 1305 site. i have attached the master file(which should be updated) with the reports coming from the supervisors(Rosan & Jhon) in another sheets. the master file is same form as i given. is their any way of automatic update by any macro.

Loading Data Into Master Sheet Using Daily Reports

So, I'm trying to create a database, of sorts. I run several reports every morning that leave me with the information I need, but I would like to be able to store them in a master sheet, thus creating a database. That master sheet will be used by my co-workers and, at times, my customers or boss. Add in a few hundred new lines every day and it becomes a task in itself just to keep the spreadsheet up to date, manually. I'm only needing to do this now because the system I use now will be shut down starting next Monday. I (someone who has never had any formal excel training) have been tasked with creating a new way to track orders.

I can create a unique identifier tag for each line, but I don't know how to program or create a macro/equation to be able to filter and replace values in the tag's row, based solely on the tag. The combination of columns A&B in my test report will give me the unique tags. From there, I need columns E-L to be able to be updated from the new reports each morning.

If Sheet 2 contains a list of items that I have updated during the day and wish to place into the master sheet (Sheet1). I don't know the language needed to write the macro and any necessary equations.

My goal is to have my reports dump information into a master sheet, but only replacing/adding onto existing rows and columns that correspond with each other and creating new lines when no pair is found.

I've attached what my report should look like after I've filtered out the unneeded information. It will be this, every day, except with a few hundred more lines.

Imagine Sheet 1 is the master sheet and sheet 2 is the newly uploaded information.

Automatic Update From Multiple Sheets To Master Sheet

I have multiple sheets all of which are identical except for the number of rows containing data. I have been trying to create a macro to update these sheets into one 'Master' sheet but I'm having great difficulties due to me needing to leave Column A and Row 1 blank.

I have uploaded example data of what I am after, sheets 2 - 6 need to be automatically updated to the 'Master' sheet when the macro is run.

So, I'm setting up an accounting book. There's a master sheet that needs to pull from the other sheets that are made. The problem is, with each new sheet that is made, I have to update the formulas on the master. I would like that if I made a new sheet, the master would automatically pull from it.

Example:

Master pulls renter fee info from May 3rd, May 7th

I create sheet (May 15th)

Master pulls renter info from May 3rd, May 7th, May 15th

Linking Cells For Update On One Sheet It Updates My Last "customer Touch" On A Master Sheet

I am tracking my sales interactions and am trying to link cells so when I update on one sheet it updates my last "customer touch" on a master sheet. Current formula-

On "sheet1" I selected a cell and used this formula... =sheet2!$b$7

The problem is that I want to keep a history of what was in that sheet 2 B7 cell so i insert a row (making B7 move down and become B8) and enter new info into the new b7. if I go back to sheet1 the formula in the selected cell becomes =sheet2!$b$8 I want it to stay to =sheet2!$b$7 no matter what I do... insert rows, delete rows etc...

in short what i am trying to do is have a cell in sheet1 show my last interaction with the customer and keep a history of in sheet2-infiniti.... with the caveat that my last interaction on sheet 2 etc... is listed first (thus the insert row)

a daily report I have to create. On a daily basis I will be provided with dispatch information from a warehouse. What I need to do is create some sort of report that will add the data and then calculate totals on a daily basis. There are five columns on the daily report that I will be provided with but I am only interested in two colums: that is the product code and the quantites. I will then save under a week number or month.

Setting Up Excel Data In Aggregated Way That Can Feed Dashboard Or Daily Report

I want to set up daily charts to monitor various things but Im not sure how best to set up the data in order to do this so it calculates automatically as data is refreshed.

I want to run daily activity data that tells me how many people attend each room per day. the aggregated data would include:

Number of attendances, by room (there are 11 rooms), by day
Each attendance grouped by category of patient (up to 25 categories)
Each attendance by type of attendance (various groups)

How should I set up the data to show these things in a way that it can be linked to a text file and refreshed daily on opening? the data at the moment is in rows per attendance rather than grouped in any way.

I would like the data to have dates and months etc automatically genetared by the attendance date in order to graph the above indicators, as well as a % atttendance in relation to capacity per room etc

simple excel template that I could try to manipulate my data into so I can get started. The data is generates using a transact SQL query and saved as a text file which I wabt to use for the daily stats.

Pivot Table Report Daily Data & Group Same Days In Year

Last week I posted a question related to formatting a cell to return a Day of the Week versus a numerical representation IE "Wed" instead of 02/20/2008 12:00AM. The solution provided worked for me:

1) Format cell to DDD MM/DD/YYYY HR:MN. Cell range (A1:A500)
2) Format destination cell with DDD. Cell range (B1:B500)
3) Destination cell (B1) = to original cell A1
4) B1 displayed data as "Wed"

However, the issue I still have is; I wanted to create a pivot table summarizing a year activity by Day of Week (in other words 7 entries for the year) and the pivot table still recognized all the MM/DD/YYYY. I ended up with a table displaying every day of the year instead of a yearly summary by Day of Week. Is there some way to strip out all the other numerical data from the new column I created to run a pivot table by Day of the Week for a whole years activity?

I'm new to Excel Macros and have hit a brick wall on what I would consider
to be my primary workhorse macro! I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't
mastered coding for movement of data around the spreadsheet much beyond
the macro recorder. I need something tight, efficient, and (instructively commented)!

I've got a spreadsheet consisting of a Master table with 42 rows, (2 rows
per record), and 14 columns of information. To the left of that is another
table consisting of live data from the process. It has anywhere from 1 to
24 rows with 10 columns representing Current/Live/Pre-processed information,
pulled in from the company web location.

Both tables start with an indexing column of 2 character alphanumeric IDs.
They are as follows: C2, D3, D4, E3, E4, F3, F4, G3, G4, H3, H4, I2, I3,
I4, J2, J3, J4, K1, K2, K3, K4.

MASTER TABLE Index Column is B4 to B44 (2 rows per record, in A->Z order)
UPDATE TABLE Index Column is Y4 to Y24 (Could be from 1 to 21 rows (Max),
1 per record, normally in A-Z order.

What I need to do is Key on the Master index column for a particular ID,
against the UPDATE index column. When there's a match I need to take the
updated values from the UPDATE table and assign them to the appropriate
cells locations in the MASTER table.

Example:
Starting with ID "C2" in the MASTER table, check to see if "C2" exists in
the UPDATE Table Index. If there's a match the following cell value
transfers must occur. Z4 -> E4, AB4 -> J4, AC4 -> J5, AD4 -> H4,
AE4 -> K4 and AG4 -> I4. If "C2 is not found in the UPDATE Table then skip
to next ID, (D3).

If ID D3 is found, another cell value transfer must occur. Z5 -> E6,
AB5 -> J6, AC5 -> J7, AD5 -> H6, AE5 -> K6, and AG5 -> I6. If "D3 has no
updates then skip to next ID and so on. Continue checking IDs and updating
until all IDs have been checked.


I'm having difficulty crafting a macro to search 2 columns against one nother,
specify the correct ActiveCell, than offset appropriately to place the desired
value in the correct location.

How to get updated data from connected 3 XL workbooks.(files)

1= ODBC connection ( This brings data from a Basis Query) it will updated 1 or max 2 times a day.

2= Manuel input ( It will update after inserting new data, many times a day) Password protected

3= This One is my master file which brings data in 2 different sheets from above mentioned files. Password protected

My problem is started when i want to see latest updates from file 1 & 2 in my Master file then i have to re-open my Master file, Is it any option which fulfill my requirement that i will keep my main file update just by clicking <save> & I will not re-open file at all times ?

I can't have a shared file. & my all these 3 files are in the same folder.

Update Table Based On A Master

I have one "master" spreadsheet I utilize per month. Each month my "master" spreadsheet is updated twice a week (so, for a four week month I update my "master" spreadsheet a total of eight times).

To update my "master" spreadsheet I compare it to an "update" spreadsheet that contains the same column headings as my "master" spreadsheet.

What I need updated:
I need to compare account numbers (column A) between the two spreadsheets, once I find a match I need to update each of the costs for the 5 products (columns B thru F) from the "update" spreadsheet to the "master" spreadsheet. I currently have a simple SUM(IF) statement that completes this for the first update.

I am lost at how I can have my "master" continually update for the next seven updates without losing each of the previous updates.Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am attaching two sample spreadsheets - "master" and "update".

Changeable Master Form To Update Children?

I'm currently working on a form to fill out in a study on different analyzers; the master form has gone through several revisions. To keep things looking neat, all the "children" forms have had to be altered, too. The amount of data is getting large and having to do this is getting annoying.

Is there a way to create a master form that is modifyable where the changes are spread through the children? i.e. if I insert a row with new information, I'd like the change to occur on multiple sheets. If I move a row to a different spot, similarly, I'd want all my forms with data to move around to follow suit.

I have a workbook with 6 worksheets inside; One of the sheets is a master list; it's simply the other 5 sheets compiled into 1 big one. I need to set it up so that any new data entered into the 5 separate department sheets is automatically entered onto the master sheet, in the first blank row.

The columns are the same across all the sheets. Hopefully this will be easier for the pros here than it's been for me, I've been banging my head against the wall on this one. I'll be checking this thread religiously, so if you need any more information just let me know...

In the open workbook named MASTER, on Worksheet named -MASTER- ( Let’s refer to this all as just MASTER)

(In production, the name of this workbook will be an account #_ date, and the worksheet will be a date)

For each numeric value in row 6 (we’ll call these values AD###) of MASTER

Search directory "H:AccountingAdvertising Accounts" for workbook named AD### AX.xls

(Note the AX suffix of the file name)

Cell A1 shows a specific value (pivot table value), but same A1 cell value might change if pivot table is refreshed.

So I am trying to automatically copy A1 value to another cell but I need to keep track of each value when pivot table is refreshed.

I have been researching about =Value formula, but it does not work properly since A1 cell reference will change each time pivot table is refreshed.

Auto-Populate Excel Sheet From Master Sheet Of Data

In this attached example, this is a portion of a actual work procedure. The yellow highlighted cells are the same work element within the master procedure but one is for one type of machine while the other is for same model but added options. This is a pattern throughout the entire worksheet. Basically 1 model with several different types of options. I don't want to have unnecessary elements in a work procedure.

So what I am trying to accomplish, I want to create a userform or dashboard which will allow selection of model #, model type #, then based off those selections have excel populate a worksheet with all correct procedures based off model type choice.

In this example there is 6 model variations, all share same basic procedure, but all have their own work procedure based on options, so my above approach will allow me to make changes to the master procedure only instead of changing 6 procedures.

Generate A Report On Second Sheet From A Filtered Values From The First Sheet

The table on Sheet 1 is being used a record system for history of each lifting equipment we mobilized to our client for rental. The Door No. (Column A) is a name for each equipment. The Date Mobilized is the date when equipment left our premises and started working on site and Date Demobilized is the date when equipment went back to our yard.

To explain my requirement, refer to the first 7 rows indicates that the Door No. ATC0005. It was mobilized 7 times but demobilized 6 times. Meaning that the equipment is currently deployed because the last mobilization dated 01-Jul-13 doesnt have an corresponding data of Demobilization. My first requirement is to have a filter where in it will show the list of currently mobilized equipment. In that case I just go to Date Demobilized and filter it by only showing the blanks.

My second requirement is to know how to filter to only show the available equipment. I was able to analyze it this way: For example we take a look at the history of FLD0001, it has 5 Mobilization Date and 5 Demobilization Date. So i need to know a function to filter a Door No. that has the same number of Mobilization Date and Demobilization Date. My first solution is to just filter the Date Demobilized to not show blanks hence it will show all equipment that has the same number of Date Mob. and Date Demob. But my exact requirement is to have a real time report on a separate sheet (refer to Sheet 2).

Sheet 2 is report for equipment status. Under Equipment (Column A) are the list of equipment. Using the data available on Sheet 1, the cells under Client (Column B) should be filled up either "Available" or "Deployed".

Lastly, for all Deployed equipment only the Client Name should also be retrieved on the report on Sheet 2.

Any "automation Formula" To Update Monthly Report

I have lots of monthly reports to prepare. So what i do is to copy previous month report file and paste and rename it as current month report. Once i open it, i need to change the linking to the next colume of the source files. Eg Source files July is in Column H, then now i have to change it to Column I in my current month reports.

Furthermore, one file may have a few source files so the column may differ also.
