Using Special Cells Function In VBA?

How this code is not working correctly. I want to count the number of cells with constants that are in sheet 2 column B and return this number to cell A3 in sheet 1 if and only if A2=A1 in sheet 1

Paste Special Function

Got a bit of an issue with using the paste special function. I am trying to record a macro that would copy a group of cells that are verticle, and then paste them onto a new row in a different sheet.

I have done this in the past by enabling the record macro function and inserting a new row going back to the sheet with the data selecting the data copying it, and then selecting pasting area using paste special and enabling the "Transpose" box.

Although today i found this didin't work in fact it (this is the best i can describe it) merged each cell with the cell below givng a type of square function as can be seen below.

After i click ok, this happens

As you can see the cells are now twice the size.

COUNTIFS And Paste Special Function

I have a question regarding COUNTIFS. I have data arrayed vertically and horizontally on a worksheet. Date - Column 1 Column 2 etc. Criteria data (flight information) is listed under these columns. I'm trying to get the COUNTIFS formula to count the number of times a particular flight occurs within a date column.

My formula is

=COUNTIFS(C27:G24 (this is the field that contains the flight info), C6 (this contains the particular flight I'm looking for), C16:G16 (this contains the date range, C5 (this contains the date I'm looking for)

When I use this formula I get the result #VALUE! back. I also wanted to ask if there is any way to use the paste special function but not lose the original formatting/formulas from the cells one is pasting from.

Clean Function - Replace Special Character With Space?

I have special character that I removed with =CLEAN formula.

It was only one character which represents carriage return. It looks like one little square with question mark inside.

After I applied =CLEAN formula it disappeared, but now I don't have space between these two words.

How could I replace this special character with space?

Copy Filter Data And Paste It On Another Workbook With Special Cells (Only Visible Cells)

I am using code to filter my 4 sheets Greater then 0 (zero)

After apply above filter now i need to copy multiple rows and paste on another specific workbook for paste i m using below code:

for 1st sheet with the name ("V2")

for 2nd sheet with the name("LV")

For 3rd sheet with the name ("F2")

and 4th sheet with the name("L2")

If I play above code one by one all is going very well,,,,,,or if use in this way all is going very well

But here is a big problem..........if any sheet have no value greater then 0(zero)....then code paste all data... e.g shssts("LV") .Range("C5:C54").Copy but C5:C54 have no data greater then 0(zero) and it will paste on another sheet c5:c54 and again new sheets data will paste below the c54 while c5:c54 have no data.

So I want if any sheet have no data with range is greater then 0(Zero) then skip the copy paste code or use like SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible) .

Excel 2010 :: Worksheet Move / Copy Function And Paste Special / Columns Widths

I am trying to copy one worksheet using the "move/copy" function that is available when you right click a tab name and want to copy the worksheet in the same workbook

The steps I'm using are:

1. Right click the tab name
2. Select Move or Copy,
3. Select Create a Copy
4. Click OK

Doing all of the above does not work. When the new worksheet opens, all columns are the same width. It seems to be stuck on "autofit column width" setting of 8.5. The original worksheet is several columns wide all with different width settings.

I've also used Copy, Paste Special and selected column widths and that does not work either.

Trying To Color Cells With A Special Value In Another Cell

I am trying to color cells with a special value in another cell.

I would like to use the value in K column to sort the color of the rows. As you can see I have done this manually there, but I would like to have it automatic so no one will put wrong color.

I tried to do this in VBE and started to put K7:k37 as range. then I used if formula to find if the correct value is in the cell. But then I had know idea what i was doing so I did some search here but could not find anything that I could use.

Some Cells Won't Acknowledge Special Characters

I am using Excel 2002 SP3. I have a multiple worksheet workbook and am using links between some cells so as to keep the updating down to a minimum. Typically I can enter [code]=' Storage '!E70[code] to transfer the contents of one cell in the ' Storage ' worksheet to the cell I want the data in and I get the value of that worksheet/cell. But sometimes all I get is the data I entered: ie ='Storage '!E70. Is there some for cell format problem that prevents this from happening?

Delete Special Cells And Protected Workbook

I have a code which deletes all contents of cell in range except formulas, from sheet 2 to 13. Code works, but I have included toggle button on each sheet to lock/unlock sheets.

If I lock sheets, code doesn't erase cells as needed.

I have figured out code that works for me, but looks like It's not performing quite correct. Although code executes quite quick...

Counting Cells If Special Criterias Are True

I have a worksheet containing appr. 9000 part numbers that have four different columns as: annual volume, dispatch quantity and turn over speed.

I want to count all rows where these conditions are true:

(annual volume / dispatch quantity)>turn over speed

I thought I could do something like this but it turns out wrong:

=COUNTIF((annual volume/dispatch quantity); >turn over speed)

This does not work.
Is there a way that I can do this easily?

note: the " ;" is correct. In my excel I use ; instead of " , ".

Special Cells Paste Giving Error

I am trying to use the Special Cells Goto and Paste, but I am getting an error saying 'this operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized' when I do the Copy the value that I want, Goto Special|Constants, then Edit|Paste Special|Values|Multiply. The cells containing constants are selected and if they are together, e.g. B7 & B8, then there is no problem, but if they are apart e.g. B7 & B9, I get the error.

Find Cells That Contain Special Character In Given Row - Return Corresponding Header(s)

I'm looking for a VBA Macro that will do the following:

1. Count number of cells in a given row that contain special character "*"
2. If there is an asterisk in a given row, return the column header(s) contained in row 1 of the spreadsheet that correspond to each instance of cell(s) that contains the "*".

Is there a way to do this? I've attached an example of what I'm talking about, (Column A shows the desired result.)

I have a spreadsheet where a column has many cells being empty and others with values. I need to use copy-paste skip blanks to another column so it only overwrites cells that contains values. BUT The cells in the column appears to be empty, not blank, when I try use the copy-paste skip blanks it doesnt work. However, when I press delete in every empty cell the copy-paste skip blanks works for those cells.

Do you got a fast method to make all the empty cells blank?

I have a spreadsheet for which I have to set up a formula to get the minimum value from a range of cells, but that range can include blank cells, errors (#DIV/0) and zeros, all of which I want to be ignored. I can work out how to ignore EITHER the zeros

(=MIN(IF(C10:G100,C10:G10)),

or the error cells

(=MIN(IF(ISNUMBER(C9:G9),C9:G9)),

How to exclude both. If I try to combine both of these exclusion criteria it doesn't work and I end up with the answer #DIV/0, which is one of the values I want it to ignore.

I want to use the SumIf function to sum cells when other cells begin with certain characters.

I've toyed with a few ideas of how this could work, but i don't know how to specify that the cells need to begin with certain characters. The cells that would be the criteria and the ones that would be summed come out of an Oracle database (and i have no control over the way they're pulled out - yet) so the beginning characters are connected to extremely unique information, so i dont want that to be included in the if part, for obvious reasons.

I am trying to make a function that will only show the value of visible cells (so I can have excel calculate a slope/offset of a filtered table. I made the function below, and it seems to work pretty well.

However, when I try to use it in an array formula instead of with an individual cell (example, {=SUM(Visible(A1:A10))} ), it only evaluates the hidden property on the first cell. So if the first cell is hidden, all cells will be blank, and if the first cell is not hidden, all values are summed, regardless if some of the later cells are hidden.

I usually use the IF and IFERROR functions with the SUM functionto filter out values I don't want, and I assumed I could do the same with this custom function.

Using IF Function And Text In Cells

I've been looking for a while on here now and have found some great formulas, but can't seem to get this 100% figured out. Here is what I want to do. My master sheet contains a cell (A5) that is used as a keyword search. So if I wanted to find info using my name I would enter gsheppar in A5. I have another sheet labeled "List" where there are different categories i.e. A1 is labeled Online Retailers, A2:A51 contains a list of the retailers. In B2:B51 I would enter my name (gsheppar) if I had an association with the retailer.

On the master sheet when I enter my name I would like it to show all retailers in B5:B55 that has my name next to it in B2:B51 from the "List" sheet. The problem I am running into for example B2 on the list sheet has my name plus 3 other people's names formatted: gsheppar,name 2, name 3. The question I have is how to have the formula in B2:B51 on the master sheet look specifically for the name that is in the keyword search when there are multiple names in a single cell on the "list" sheet.
