I am trying to extract the data values from the references Bundesbank page and get them into a worksheet so I can manipulate from there. What I have is below.
I have previously used the following code to successfully pull out IE webpage source code for string manipulation.
Its a crude example to demonstrate the principle:
Public Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long) Public IE As Object Sub Sample() Set IE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application") IE.Visible = True
[Code] ......
However when I substitute in a Google websites address into the IE.Navigate command, the code runs to the "Source_Code = IE.document ...." line then flags up a Microsoft Visual Basic error. "Run-time error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method"
The webpage that I am trying to access is a confidential company site, so you won't be able to access it yourself, but starts with [URL] ......
The one thing that I have noticed about this website is the Privacy Report icon in the lower right status window (Picture of an eye with a restricted symbol in front). I don't know whether this is the cause of my problem, or purely an incidental observation.
Is there something peculiar with Google sites that means that the source code cannot be extracted in general, or is this an issue specific to my site ? Does the Privacy Report icon have any relevance, and if so how do I switch that off ?
I have a function that locates a table on a webpage and pulls the html code into one cell in a worksheet. Basically we can call this one cell a text file. I need to parse through this text file (cell A1) to create a table. This text file only has info for 1 table, the table always has 12 columns, the rows are variable. I would like it to then write back this parsed text file back into excel as a table, say starting in cell A2 on the same worksheet.
I need to copy/cut and paste an Html table from a website into and Excel sheet without the data being transposed. See link for the table I need to get into Excel:
I am attempting to extract a particular piece of data from a webpage. I was not able to use a webquery because the data can only be reached by searching an online database and the URL remains static throughout this process. http://gisims2.co.miami-dade.fl.us/myhome/proptext.asp
The data of interest is contained in a simple, 2-column table with item descriptions in the first column and item values in the second. The code below is my closest attempt. I am attempting to look through the innertext of all the tables on the results page and see if any contain the text "CLUC", which is the description of the data I'm trying to retrieve. The code never finds any qualifying tables.
Sub PropInfo() Dim appIE As SHDocVw.InternetExplorer Set appIE = New SHDocVw.InternetExplorer Dim varTables, varTable Dim varRows, varRow Dim varCells, varCell Dim lngRow As Long, lngColumn As Long 'OPEN INTERNET EXPLORER, GO TO WEBPAGE appIE.Visible = True appIE.navigate "http://gisims2.miamidade.gov/MyHome/proptext.asp" Do While appIE.Busy: DoEvents: Loop Do While appIE.readyState <> 4: DoEvents: Loop.........................
I wanted to know if there is any way possible to get vba to insert a formula in a cell to each worksheet in each workbook in a folder and then using loop to extract all the info from each worksheet of each workbook in same folder into a master workbook?
I want to know what are the teams in which sam a member. Peoples' names should be selected from a dropdown menu and names of the teams should be displayed below the menu.
I have some data which is copied from our system in the format below, I then need to add only parts of this information to an existing spreadsheet on the network.
This is the information (there could be lots of these entries, but all need to be added to the spreadsheet)
Device ooo.1111111111111111111111555666663333 performance has deteriorated.
increased from average value of 2041 days to 44589 days. warning 2/6/2014 2:38:18 AM aaa-ab-cde00.efghijklmno.ddd.kk

I then need part of the above data to be transferred to in Excel in the following column headers (see attachment for layout)
DateTimeHostDeviceLow ValueHigh Value
what is the quickest and easiest way of updating this spreadsheet..... I have to update the spreadsheet every morning and it is very time consuming .
Sheet2  ABCDE1Data    2ABSCar1Car3Car6Car13ADFCar2Car5Car3Car24ANDCar1Car1Car1Car35ADXCar6Car6Car5Car1 6     7     8     9Results10   Car1Data11    ABS12    ABS13    AND14    AND15    AND16    ADX17     18    Data19   Car2ADF20    ADF21     22    Data23   Car3ABS24    ADF25    AND26     27    Data28   Car5ADF29    ADX
I have a pivot table, and I would like to be able to have a formula or vba to extract the data to separate sheets. The pivot table looks similar to;
Row Labels Count of FileSemester John Smith 8
[Code].....
The pivot table consists of employee name (John Smith), followed by class code and qty. I have a separate spreadsheet for each employee and what I need to be able to do is to extract the class & qty into these spreadsheets.
I have a workbook that has ben imported into excel and I need to extract the Cabinet sizes (red text) from ColumnC On Sheet2 leaving out the rest of the info. I have a button on the home sheet that has the code that I am running to generate this report it will do most of what I want but I am stuck at extracting the cabinet sizes.
The data is coming from the SheetComponetListing worksheet and going to Sheet2. I have manually created the end result that I am looking for on the CabinetSize worksheet. [URL]....
In the attachment you will see an example of what I am trying to accomplish. What I am trying to do is find VBA code that is either specific to this worksheet or in a macro. When the sheet is opened I enter a date in B2. I then enter data into A7, B7, and C7. What I would like to happen is when the data is entered into A7, B7, and C7 the sheet goes and finds the same date that I entered in B2 and copies that data from A7, B7, and C7 into F7, G7, and H7.
Code through which I can extract the Name and father/Husband name from the following data in new Work Sheet in two column Name and Father/Husband Name
Cell A1 contain - Name : Ashok Kumar Father's Name : Raja Ram House No. : 1 Age : 60 Sex : Male Cell A2 contain - Name : Renu Gerg Husband's Name : Ashok Kumar House No. : 1 Age : 55 Sex : Female Cell A3 contain - Name : Mohd Yusuf Father's Name : Mohd Sabir House No. : 2 Age : 65 Sex : Male Cell A4 contain - Name : Rani kishwar Sultana Husband's Name : Mohd Yusuf House No. : 2 Age : 52 Sex : Female - - - Cell A55000 contain - Name : Sudesh Father's Name : PC joshi House No. : 3 Age : 39 Sex : Female
I am trying to create a basic order history in excel from orders generated on our limited ERP system. I have exported the data required and imported to excel, but due to the export limitations, I can only export certain fields at a time. This means that I have to create three sheets for all the data I require.
The first sheet has the bulk of the data and is now nicely collumned. However, I cannot get both the customer code and full customer name on the same sheet due to the aforementioned limitations. Sheet 1 has customer code and other data, sheet 2 has customer code plus full customer name.
I have created a collumn for the customer name on sheet 1 (A3) next to the customer code (A2)
Basically, what I am trying to get it to do is as follows: In "A3" I need to create a formula that states that if A2 contains a certain customer code, then look in sheet 2, match the code and place the full customer name for that code. Bearing in mind that we have over 395 customer codes in use, so asking for a specific code to lookup would be as time consuming as entering the codes manually.
I need to extract data from a spreadsheet given to me by my client, the best way to describe what I want to do is "a reverse of a pivot table"
The source sheet is arranged as follows:
Column A: Employee name every 3rd row Column B: Normal Time on row 2, time and a half on row 3, double time on row 4, normal time on row 5, time and a half on row 6 etc etc Column C to I inclusive: Number of hours worked (on that day) Column J: Subtotal of the 7 days (columns C to I) Column K to Column DZ: Repeats of Column C to J
Row 1: dates in columns C to DY (except for the weekly subtotals)
I have many spreadsheets like this that I would prefer to have the information in a simple list format with the fields: Name, Date, Rate Class (Normal Time, Time and a Half etc), Hours. Is there a simple/quick way to extract this information into the above mentioned fields? Am i being stupid and missing a simple solution?
I am familiar with VBA, but this one has me stumped! Basically, I want to have Excel fill out an Aspx form, submit it, and then pull in the data from the html table that the form produces. There are multiple queries it would have to do, so I would want it to loop through until it is done with my list of inputs. I don't even know where to start...
The website I need to pull data from is: [URL]
On the form, there are multiple fields, but the one I am interested in is the "Study Area Code." An example input I would have in this field is "529910." I would have a different sheet in my workbook with all the SACs I need to pull.
My vision for the end result is to have all the data pulled into one sheet.
I would need to get HTML source code from any given page. I know how to open a HTML page from Excel and I can do it with VBA, but how to get for example this page's source code?
I would start with making a sub that takes a string (the address) as an input parameter and finish with saving the source code of that address as an text file like c:code.txt
So something like
Dim webaddress as string
Sub GetSourceCode(webaddress) 'then some code to save the source code End Sub
I have a spreadsheet with company details in a worksheet. Each company details are in a new column. Like the following example:
company name company name company name
[Code]....
i basically need each of the bold heading in the first row of the new worksheet. Each company details will then need to be moved into a new row with the corresponding data under the correct heading column. Not all the companies have all the data for each heading it would be fine to have "none" value or blank in this case
I have a folder with an unlimited number of Excel Workbooks. Data within workbooks are in same format - 3 columns of data. I would like to extract the Data in the range (B55:B70) for every workbook, transpose the data and append by rows into one worksheet.
To be clear - I want to take data range B55:B70 from first workbook, transpose and put on first row - take data range from second workbook, transpose and put on second row, repeating for unlimited number of times...
I am trying to output tables from excel to an HTML file using the following subroutine. It creates the table as I would like, but I am having a brain cramp trying to figure out how to get the cell data into the routine. The part in error is in the code below, in Red. I need some way of entering something like " Sheet(SheetNum)&.Range(Column&Row)&.Value"
Private Sub CreateTable(Center As Boolean, Border As Integer, Width As Integer, SheetNum As Integer, StartRow As Integer, EndRow As Integer, StartColumn As Integer, EndColumn As Integer) Dim Row As Integer Dim Column As Integer Dim ColumnID(1 To 15) As String Dim CellLoc ColumnID(1) = "A" ColumnID(2) = "B" ColumnID(3) = "C" ColumnID(4) = "D" ColumnID(5) = "E" ColumnID(6) = "F" ColumnID(7) = "G"..................
I would like to extract competition naps from the competition entries and then remove the string ending "nap" from the data so it can be pasted to another sheet in it's 'clean' format.
on the example sheet column B will always be the first column and the range will extend to either G,H or I (always the max range as there are always 6 to 8 races)
i would like the code to search through these columns of data and find the cell ending in 'nap' then to return this in column i, once done remove 'nap' ending from both the source cell and column i.
once done to then go through all the rows and do similar
the end result would be all naps returned into cell j and all the 'nap' endings through the data range B to I (max) to be removed to leave the horses name only.
in book 3 the first row nap was sommersturm so i have shown the outcome i would like with the nap ending in I1 removed and the horse name returned in J1 again minus 'nap' ending.
the data will always be clean with no leading/trailing/excessive spaces and always be lower case too. sometimes a space is not in between horse name and nap but it's always last 3 characters i want removed still.
