VBA Status Of Pass / Fail Required On Userform

Per the attached, I have a set of questions which must be answered by true or false. the answer to all is true. I need a pass/fail indicator on the userform to give a user realtime view based on percentage of true answers. threshold can be assumed as 80% where below it is reflected as fail

Conditional Formating Pass Or Fail

I looked around the forum for a answer but none are quite the same. AA2 contains a date. AN2 contains a Pass or Fail based on =IF(AH4<60,"FAIL",IF(AJ4<60,"FAIL",IF(AL4<60,"FAIL","PASS"))).

Now even if those above fields are empty and no date is in AA2 "PASS" still shows up in AN2. I used =$AA$5="" to make AN2 turn white if AA2 had no date in it. I am unable to copy the formatting along the rest of the AN column without it all refering to just AA2. Is there a way to make it copy and correct the formating like it does with formulas? I had planned to due the same thing with the AO column that contains "DUE" if the person has not taken a test in 180 days. =IF(AA2<=(TODAY()-180),"DUE",IF(AA2<=(TODAY()-150),"CLOSE",IF(AN2="FAIL","RETEST","")))

I have a test log with PASS/FAIL. These results are logged in Excel under the column heading PASS/FAIL.

How do I count the number of PASS or FAIL using VBA macro?

So far I have tried:

the error is at the name = Range("PASS/FAIL").Select line.

My thought process: once I had selected a range, I can now freely "look" at each string in a cell in that range. Not correct I guess.

All this is currently done in the active sheet.

Pass Or Fail Using Both Positive And Negative Numbers Against Tolerance

It's a worksheet for testing milk tanks. The issue is as follows:

Column F = Chart Error/This can be either a positive or negative whole number
Column G = Tolerance/This is always a whole positive number

Problem is I want Column H = Status to say "Pass" or "Fail" based on meeting the Column G number. But it's only the number itself (not whether it's Positive or Negative) that matters in determining the P/F status.

Examples:

Column F= -20
Column G= 15
Column H= Fails

or

F= 20
G= 15
H= Fails

The formulas I've been coming up with will show one or the other as Failing but not both + or - numbers if they fail to meet the G Column tolerance number.

Creating A Dropdown List With Pass/Fail With Colors

I am going to use excel for test cases. I can creat a drop down list with the selections "pass", "fail", "not run". That isn't a problem using the data validation toolbar. However I would like to basically color the cell (test case) with a certain color based on the drop down selection.

for instance:

Pass = Green
Fail = Red
Not run = Orange.

Pass Variable From One Userform To Another?

I have code in a userform that shows another userform with a text box. When the user types text there and presses OK, I want that userform to close (which it does fine), and return back to the original userform (which it does fine), but I want the typed text to be stored in a variable that the code in the original userform can use.

I tried declaring a public variable, "Rresponse1", in each userform's procedure, but that doesn't work. I test for the content of the variable afterward in the original userform and it is empty.

In the original userform I have:

SaveList.Show '(this is the second userform)
MsgBox "This is response1: " & Response1 '(to test if the variable is being passed)

In the userform SaveList, in the Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() procedure, I have:

Response1 = SaveList.ListName.Text
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
MsgBox Response1 '(to test the variable, here it shows the text fine)
Unload SaveList

How do I get the Response1 variable to keep its content when control is passed back to the original userform?

How To Select Range In VBA For Excel Status Email Where Status Not Equal To

I have some vba code that currently copies a status table out of a worksheet, into a temp file for an email. The status table in excel has a column D which can have different status. I want to select everything in the table except rows that are 'Descoped'. Currently my code looks like:

Set rng2 = Sheets("Execution Status").Range("B2:F420")

This picks up everything without looking at the status. I want to change it so it doesn't pick up the rows where Column D contains 'Descoped'.

In pseudo code I would describe it as:

Set rng2 = Sheets("Execution Status").Range("B2:F420") where value in D5:D420 is not equal to 'Descoped'.

I have tried:

Set rng2 = Sheets("Execution Status").Range("B2:F420").Value "Descoped" and nothing gets selected.

Can't Pass Variable Value From Worksheet Sub To Userform Sub

I am trying to pass two variables RARD and CARD from Sheet1 'change selection' subroutine to the 'Set ARD Command button click' subroutine. The variable value remain empty and it gives me a 1004 error when I try to execute this line of code:

What I am trying to do is put the text value 'ARD' in the cell on sheet1 which was the original cell I clicked on to open the userform2. To do this I click on the 'Set ARD' button on the userform2 which is then suppose to hide the userform2 and put the 'ARD' text in the selected cell on Sheet1.

Pass Data From Userform To Worksheet?

I have two userforms (for simplicity we'll call them UserForm1 and UserForm2). When pulling up data on UserForm1 and selecting CommandButton1 is Unloads the current form and passes the ComboBox1 on the form to a public variable called lSection_Choice. When CommandButton1 on UserForm2 is selected, it uses the public variable lSection_Choice to determine the ListObject on a worksheet and then locate the last row in the first column of the listobject and input the value of the TextBox1 on UserForm2. It runs through without any errors but the worksheets do not update? I am guessing it's because the modal UserForm2 is set and not focused on the worksheet.

Here is the code to pass the public variable

I have a userform that has a number of cascading comboboxes, however i wish to use the same cascading feature in a number of other userforms. So what i am trying to achive is calling the cascading element from a public macro, to do this i need to pass the userform name to the procedure. The snippet of code i am using is:

I'm pretty new to VBA and am working on trying to make a userform and I seemed to have gotten stuck.

I have userform with 6 textbox fields and 2 radio buttons. I need all the fields to including the radio buttons to be required. I currently have this set up.

I have been trying to use a multi-select listbox as the argument for a subroutine. For some reason, I keep getting a run time error, type mismatch. I'm baffled because when I define the specific listbox, it works fine, but when I attempt to pass the listbox I get an error.

I want to display a string to users. Normally I would do that using message boxes. But that would not give me enough control over the font size, and I want to display using font size 48.

I could have used global variables, but that is not a good coding way. The other way of doing that is using property procedures. I could pass a string variable to a Label control on the form and then could format it.

I am trying to pass a string array into a form. I have added a member string array to the form, and a property to "Let" the array in the the member array.

I have a workbook that has multiple spreadsheets. Data is added to the spreadsheets using userforms for each spreadsheet. I have created a pop-up calendar to add dates and want to know if there is a way to add dates without having to create multiple calendars for each txt field on each userform. I would like it so that when I click on the calendar it would put the date into the text field it was launched from.

This is the code in the calendar which only puts the date into the field named Dat_Clsd.

I am using Excel 2010. I have a user form with a date picker on it. I simply want to transfer the date chosen to cell A3 on a sheet. I have two problems. When I click the date picker, it doesn't show all the days of the month. When I do pick a date, it isn't transferred to the sheet. This is the code I am using in the user form:

I have a user form that has one combo box on it that right now references one column of data.

Now I am being asked to have three columns of data and the combo box to show one of the three when a certain criteria is met.

I believe it would be easiest to have an additional combox with a change event when the box is populated with "whatever" in the field

So S:3 to S:5 have A, B, C

And EC:1-EC:59, ED:1-ED:59, EE:1-EE:59 contain the data that should show when S:3, S:4, or S:5 is selected.

If S:3 is selected then the list in EC:1 - EC59 would show and so on.

Several Formulas In One Cell + Logic Fail

According to what I've read so far in this forum, this will be cakewalk for you guys to find out of (or at least so I hope.. :-) I don't know much about Excel, and what I do know is just logic sense, and a bit of common math.

My problem is in a sheet I use for my personal economy. (I'm a neatfreak, and a nerd...) The logic of my sheet is that I seperate the different type of monthly expenses, and sum them individually. The way I do this is that the A Column identyfies an expense (where 1 = rent, 2 = food, 3 = gas etc) while the C column is the expense itself, Example:

A B C
On account 500
1 rent -200
2 food -20
3 gas -10
2 food -10
Sum expenses -240
On account 260

I then use this formula to discern them:

Why (Wait For Page To Load) Fail

If I run this in the editor sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.
If I run this in editor with F8, stepping through the code, it does work.

I can only guess that enough time is passing during the F8 presses that the page can load. But is that not the purpose of adding the wait code?

If Statement Causing Loop To Fail

My nested loop works as intended without If statements, ie it counts non blank cells in a series of 17 ranges (this loop is called the CountRangesOnEachRow loop) AND then drops down a row and repeats (this loop is called the RowNo loop). The problem is that once my first If statement occurs the RowNo loop fails and it stops at the first row.

The first If statement is designed to do the following:

1. Tests to see if A4 has data. If yes, copy cell contents (pupil's name) to Sheet(2).Range("StudentName")
2. If empty skip the countranges loop and move down a row to A5.
3. Cells A4:A35 need to be tested for data in this manner.

I've included a sample workbook & code with the IF statement comment blocked so you can see what it should do AFTER it tests the A column for data. The macro should end after row 6 as A6:A35 are all blank.

Reference Workbook Save Fail (mydocuments)

I have one workbook that im running a userform. From this form i open another form that is contained in another previous opened workbook. On this second form i can update cell values in the second workbook. During this updating macro i am saving the workbook. using thisworkbook.save. Though For some reason when it hits this line. It must be doing a Save As and putting the workbook in mydocuments. There is nowhere in the code that references mydocuments.

Though if i open the workbook on its own (withough calling from another workbook) and load the userform the code runs fine and saves the workbook in its correct place.

Why Are Page Freeze Codes Destined To Fail?

When I'm manually formatting a spreadsheet I'll almost always freeze the header row for ease of navigation and to keep the headers in view. However when I attempt to do this in my code it seems no matter how careful I am it inevitably freezes the page in some peculiar location which bears no relation to the instructions I give it. Even knowing this annoying fact I'll take the extra step of turning off freeze first to clear any existing situation before setting my prefered freeze. ... and it still blows up in my face

Is there any fool proof way to freeze rows?

IF Formula Syntax (cell To Display The Word FAIL)

If the addition of two cells (a1 and b1) do not add up to more than 10 then I would like cell c1 to display the word FAIL

I've tried the following

If (a1 + b1 ) < 11 then c1 = "FAIL"

But it doesn't like it
