Looking for a code to do the following:
If rows 1 through 20 are unlocked and rows 21 to end are Locked
I want to use a Command Button to automatically
> Insert a new row (after row 20 and not before)
> Copy row 20 (which is already formatted)
> Paste row 20 onto the newly inserted row with all formats

I have a cell with both date & time "10/9/09 3:15" This is put in the current cell by formula which indexes two dif. cells, Now I am trying to copy this cell and paste into another book but like to have only date. How can I do that? Each time I try it gives me the time value in the pasted cell and I cannot even format it.

I'd like to have done is to have a blank column inserted between columns W and X(these values change so the VBA statement should reference the end of the columns) and the values that are now in column Y(April 17th values) pasted as values into the now empty column X. I would like to do this for tabs Ann-Sheet 2. I'm having a bit of trouble with setting up the loop that would go through the desired sheets.

I'm looking for a way to write a macro to insert 5 lines at the end of the data in column A. Then I want to copy a range into the newly inserted lines. I would press a button anytime I need this to occur.
Current last line of data A39
Need to insert 5 rows after A39
Then copy range BA30:CB34 into the newly inserted rows.

writing a code where i can copy a worksheet (Sheet1), insert a new worksheet at the END (as the last worksheet), and paste to that new worksheet (which will have a different name each time a new one is added). I am using the code below, but it adds a worksheet after Sheet1 instead of at the end, and it also adds another weird worksheet that says "Dim Worksheet" in one cell, and "Set newsheet = Sheets.Add(After:=Sheets(Worksheets.Count), Count:=1, Type:=xlWorksheet)" in another. This is not in the VBA window, it is just text in a cell in another inserted worksheet. I only want one worksheet added at the end that I can paste too (knowing that the inserted sheets will always have new names).

I'm trying to develop a simple time / acitivity capture sheet for a time and motions study. I have a sheet called "Front" with a project number in C2, an activity drop down in C4 and a comments section in C6.
I need to paste these into sheet "Database" into the first blank cell in B:B for C2, C:C for C4 then stamp the date in the same row in D:D and the time in E:E.

So I've made a large spread sheet in Excel that calculates many values and constraints for the optimization of a structural beam; from there, the minimum value that satisfies all constraints is output in an individual cell. I want to see how this output value changes when I change one value, the length of the beam. For instance, I input a length of the beam (10 ft.) and I get an output value of 643.50; I copy and special paste this value manually into a cell. I then change the length to 15 ft. and get an output value of 1322.83 and copy and special paste this value into the next cell. This process is very tedious, because I have to do this for hundreds of values. Is there a way to automate this so that I don't have to do everything by hand. The tricky part is that every time I change the length, the entire worksheet must recalculate before I get a new output value.

I am attempting to copy a range from one worksheet and paste it to a new worksheet when the system clock hits a specific time. It needs to run continuously and identify that a previous colum has been filled and paste into the next open column. I am just getting my feet wet. I have some code to begin with but I am getting a 1004 error.

1- Open enclosed file.
2- Run Macro1.
3- Wait some time completing running Macro1.
4- Run Macro2.
5- Wait some time completing running Macro2.
6- Look MessageBox to see that what is Macro2 running time. (Note: My Macro2 running time is 06 minutes and 49 seconds)
My question is how can I decrease Macro2 running time ?
I am open all ideas like copy data to NotePad and paste again excel etc.

Here is what I am trying to do in lay terms:
If A2 and B2 on Sheet("Master") are not highlighted, copy and paste them into Cell A3 and B3 on Sheet("Job List - Numeric"). Do this up to Row 50 on Sheet("Job List - Numeric"). Once Row 50 is filled, jump to pasting to D3 and E3 on Sheet("Job List - Numeric") and continue up to Row 50 and so on....
I need to do this on one sheet in numerical order based upon Column A and another sheet in alphabetical order based upon Column B.

On the attached Excel file, I have code that will insert a variable number of rows and copy and paste from and to variable positions. That all works fine when run from a command button, but when I try to run it from the Worksheet_Calculate by entering 1 in J1 or K1 (inrange cell is J1+K1 for testing purposes) the CommandButton1_Click sub runs continously until an error occurs.

I'm using 2003.
1. Copy cells B5 to V-First blank row in Strength Tests worksheet
2. Paste cells into Racks worksheet in cell C5
3. Change font size to 6
4. Sort by Column T descending then by Column C ascending
5. Copy one row (A5-W5 (1Rx23C)) from Racks worksheet
6. Paste row into M1 worksheet in cell D4
7. Print M1
8. Drop down one row on the Racks worksheet
9. Repeat steps 5-8 until there's a blank row.

This macro works fine on my machine but not with other users:
This should copy/paste certain cells then paste 3 sheets into a new work book.
ON other computers it seems to paste in a picture? works OK for me?

I have named a column as a range (in this case, "Data"). I have a macro that needs to always insert a line in range "Data" at row 3 and paste a value there. Currently I do not use ranges but rather use specific cell location. This works but is a royal pain when I add new columns.

I would like to implement specific cell ranges from two specific worksheets each within 33 workbooks (which all have several tabs) into a summary page in a separate workbook.
The cell ranges are going across my spreadsheet in rows and I would like for them to transpose into a columns depending on the data which I have separated by catergory on the summary page. They are all on the same location in each workbook which is separated by country. The cell ranges are E26:P37 and I would like to transpose them and have them put below eachother without overwriting for my format on the summary page, how I can put this together in a macro?

I have one workbook that needs two macros.
On the "Complete Backlog" tab of my workbook, I want users to enter in the requested information based on the column header. Then I would like a Macro attached to a button that says "Refresh" that the user would click after they have entered in all of the information. This macro should look in Column M (WIP Status) and if any of the cells say "Close", it should Cut the entire row from the spreadsheet(Ex. A2:M2) and Paste it into the speadsheet titled "Closed Jobs".
This is so that as jobs are closed/finished, they are removed and stored on a separate sheet. The items would have to be pasted so that it pastes into the next available row - not just on top of each other.
I also need another macro that i can put into a button that doesn't "delete" a row from the sheet, but just copies over to another sheet - so that there are two instances in the workbook.
If would look something like: If a cell in "Column G / Director" of the "Complete Backlog" speadsheet is equal to "Snodgress" then copy columns A-L of the same row to the spreadsheet titled "Snodgress" - of course skipping down the rows to the next blank row.
.....is equal to "Herr" copy row to "Herr" spreadsheet.
....is equal to "McCormick" copy row to "McCormick" spreadsheet.
and so on.

I've created a named range (A500:AB500) called "RowTemplate_C"
This row only contains specific formatting which I would like to use throughout my workbook.
How can I create a macro function whereby:
When I select a cell or row, and click a button (called "InsertRow_C" ),
This inserts a new row, and pastes the named range there.
I've recorded my actions and made several attempts .. but my knowledge in VBA is, as you can see, quite limited.

I'm having a toughs time with what I thought was a simple task. I need to cut and insert/paste a range of cells and then repeat in a loop. Explicitly, I have 3 columns with 2990 rows. Every 46 rows is a 'group' and I want to cut each group and paste at the top of the sheet so I have only 46 rows and (2990/46*3) 195 columns. I need to preserve the order so that the group at the bottom becomes the rightmost group........

The 'Add new material' button at the SMX sheet paste a range of formatted cells and formulas. The user is suppose to type in the description into the yellow filled cells. The problem is once the user enter sthe description in the yellow filled cells, i need the data to be copied into the FastCheck Sheet. Before that, a new row must be generated to copy for the data to be pasted.

I have spreadsheets I generate weekly that have 100s of rows. Everytime there is a data change in a certain column, I need the same row entered. I found a macro from this site that got me sort of half way.
I am trying to paste the macro that I found, but I am such an idiot I can't figure out how without it losing its formatting. Regardless, it only enters a blank row at every data change. Is there a way to enter a row with the same labels already entered in it?
