Is there a way to insert a line of code that, once all workbook open code has completed, will count for 5 seconds and then perform another piece of code?

example,

Once my workbook opens - i would like a message box to appear 5 seconds after.

Add This Number To The Start Time, Factor In Break Minutes And Get To The Projected Completion Time

I am trying to provide a tool for department leaders to monitor productivity for order processing in their departments. The variables I have are: Number of orders(variable), number of pickers (variable), start time(variable). Then, I know each order takes 1 picker 4 minutes to pick on average, and there are 45 minutes worth of breaks during the picking process. So after entering the variables I used =(((C3*4)/60)/D3) to come up with the time needed to process the orders. What I can't get to is how to add this number to the start time, factor in break minutes and get to the projected completion time. I have Excel 2003 at work. Clearly I need to take a class!

I need a formula to insert a line break after every 42 characters in a cell , example if there is 266 characters in a cell there should be 6(266/42)line breaks.

I tried this but i am not sure how to get the start num to change to 126,168 and so on

Macro To Loop And Insert A Page-break

I have lurked and learned but now this is beyond me-Attached is a sample file - The tab Data is where I start the macro and it is the file( after I have cleaned it up) that I get once a week-I added Column K/L-Blank Count Sheet Format is where the macro puts the info- count sheet is what I want it to look like- Old version is how I used to present the sheets-using subtotals etc-See the print preview to see what old ver and sample look like--

This macro below starts in data and puts Column K / L on the blank and then fills them in. Field 1-5 is all one loc sequence -I have the macro going the first few steps what I have been pulling my hair out attempting to do is --If the part# stays the same keep putting the locations under each other-As I show on Count Sheet and when the part# changes put a page break in and start over again with the new part# and assorted info. The file I get each week to do this with will have from 150 to 200 part #'s. I need a page for each--Each part has from 1 to 10 location's ( The loc consists of Field1-5 alfa-numeric )

I have a spreadsheet with agents schedules. What I would like to do is to break down the schedules to determine how many hours are worked between different times. This is what I have: C7:C11 is Sunday Start Times D7:D11 is Sunday's End times. The sheet does Sun-Sat. so Saturday ends at Q11. I want to find out how many agents work from 6am-10am, 10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm, 6pm-8pm, etc. I was originally trying to use a sumproduct but had some problems getting it to work. Calculating Time, Potential Lunch Break

I am creating a worksheet where employees schedule work throughout the day
eg task 1 will be start time 9am, finish time 11am. The result is 2 hours to do the task.

The problem i'm having is that I need to do a calculation that if a task includes lunch then the result takes an hour away from the task time.
eg task 2 will be start time 12pm, finish time 3pm, excel displays 3 hours, i need it to say 2 hours because 1-2pm is contractual lunch.

I can't just do a day formula that says minus 1 from total as this is task orientated and will vary depending on start and finish times of each task.

if someone called me at 4:55pm and ended the call at 5:10pm, the whole call lasted 15 minutes. So, I want to show on excel that the call lasted 5 minutes in the 16th hour of the day (4:55pm) and 10 minutes in the 17th hour of the day (5:10pm), for a total of 15 minutes.

I would like a solution for the automatic calculation of the end date and end time for project tasks. I have already spent hours on the issue, thanks for any help on this.

The parameters are:
A1 = Start time 08:00
B1 = End Time 17:00
A2 = break lunch 12:00
B2 = back from lunch 13:00

Task parameters

A5 = start date 01/03/10 (entered manually)
B5 = start time 10:00 (entered manually)
C5 = duration 02:00 (hrs entered manually)
D5 = "end date" >>> (to be calculated exluding breaks and holidays)
E5 = "end time" >>> (to be calculated exluding breaks and holidays)

the next line should be filled in automaitically according to the hours needed and the previous end date & time

A6 = "start date" >>> (after line 5: to be calculated exluding breaks and holidays)
B6 = "start time" (after line 5: to be calculated exluding breaks and holidays)
C6 = duration 14:00 (entered manually)
D6 = "end date" >>> (to be calculated exluding breaks and holidays)

Start/Stop Timer For Hours Worked To Include Break Time

I have a timesheet where user updates start and end time for various tasks.

I have placed a time capture button in the excel sheet (which is simply a macro saying =now() function)

The user clicks it before starting and after finishing the task. The start and end times are captured in adjacent cells.

If the user starts the work, and goes on a lunch break say for 20 min, comes back finishes the task and captures end time, the time difference will not consider break time which is non productive.

How can I incorporate something like 'pause' option so that before he goes for lunch he can temporarily pause the time.

I am making a schedule and I would like it to take out a 30 min break if the hours worked is over 6 hours.

I have so far

A B

1 11:00 7:30

=24*(B1-A1)

Gives me 8 hours, I would like it to subtract the 30 minutes only ifthe sum is over 6 and not alter the sum if it is under 6.

I have spreadsheets I generate weekly that have 100s of rows. Everytime there is a data change in a certain column, I need the same row entered. I found a macro from this site that got me sort of half way.

I am trying to paste the macro that I found, but I am such an idiot I can't figure out how without it losing its formatting. Regardless, it only enters a blank row at every data change. Is there a way to enter a row with the same labels already entered in it?

For example, if a value changes within the specified row, i.e. B1 changes, then within B12, the current date is inserted. However if B1 does not change then the old B12 value (old last change date) stays the same.

I am currently using Excel 2007 and I am looking for an easier way to enter the system date and time into a cell. I am aware of the MS-Excel shortcuts but work in an environment where data capturers still often get it wrong.

I have three columns - "Start Time", "End Time", and "Elapsed Time". Elapsed time is just end time - start time. What I would like to do is insert rows based on elapsed time.

For instance if start time is 6:00 and end time is 6:10, then elapsed time is 0:10. In this case I would like to insert 10 rows below. Basically I want to insert 1 line per minute (based on elapsed time).

What I need is to be able to insert into a cell the exact time that the information was inserted into excel. For example, cell A1 gets info inserted into it, I need cell B1 to automatically insert the time that the info was inserted into A1.
